I had the same experience with the person when I went in for an up grade and was told over and over that there were NO deals for me. He tried to do a hard sell on hooking me up with the full price service and said I would have to pay full price for the phones I was looking at. Fortunately I didn't fall for it and did some more research and found out that there was indeed a special phone pricing for a 2 year upgrade contract and I could have gotten a new phone for a fraction of the cost. I'm going to try the store on Pacific Coast Hiway that has been recommended and see if I can get an honest rep that doesn't want to pad his commission. Also, the rep that was helping me paid no attention to me while I was browsing the phones and I had to keep asking him questions about the phones while he spent the entire time looking at his tablet. He gave me short non informative answers and left me knowing less than when I went in. read more

I would not recommend this store at all. I came in on to purchase iPhone 7plus only, and they want to sell you a package when you are only wanting the phone. After going back and forth he finally get it. I also purchased the glass screen protector. When I get home I realized he did not put on correctly because I can see bubbles, so I decide to go back to the store for them to remove it and place a new one correctly. When I get to the store I speak to the general manager Eddie Guerrero. He then tells me that it is placed correctly and when it starts lifting to get it replaced. I told him why do I have to wait for it to start lifting if it should've been placed correctly from the beginning. He continues to tell me that it was placed correctly, and that should remove it when I lifts to send it back for a replacement. I bought my Galaxy s7 here at this store and after a year passed I had an issue with the phone updating, it froze up on me so I took it into this store and the woman and man who approached me were not very friendly or helpful at all. She took the phone and looked at it, checked my files and pretty much said that there's nothing they could do because the warranty was passed and I did not have the insurance. They said I had to send the phone out to a Samsung retailer and they would be able to fix it. They never showed an ounce of concern or compassion. I wasn't buying their story so I took it over to Costco where he simply pressed the volume down button and the power button simultaneously and it reset. Unbelievable! These employees at this store need some kind of update training so they are knowledgeable about their products. Perhaps some diversity training as well. My 1 star review has nothing to do with how I was treated in this store last week but everything to do with the way I watched a sales associate treat an elderly couple who had come in. Regardless of the fact that the wait in the store is ridiculous, there are no chairs in this place other than a couple of low ottomans by the door and a couple of bar stools. This associate was at the counter with a very elderly couple, the man had a cane and both were slow moving. There must have been an issue because they were taking turns being on the phone, I assume with a Verizon rep. We were being helped by someone else and were already standing there for about 15 minutes. Anyway, it didn't take a genius to see that this couple was having difficulty and discomfort from having to stand for so long. The sales rep was on the couple's phone phone and then he takes another call from his cell phone and starts chatting away. He hands the old guy's cell back to him and goes in the back room, chatting away and leaving the elderly couple in the front. Still standing. He was oblivious to the fact that out of common courtesy, he should have gotten them chairs. Seeing the situation, I walked over to another sales rep and explained what was needed. She said she would take care of it and immediately went in the back and came out with 2 folding chairs for the couple. In the mean time, whomever the man was speaking to must have asked for the Verizon sales rep again but, as I mentioned, he was on his phone and had disappeared into the back room. Another sales rep told the manager what was going on and he went into the back room and got the guy to finish helping the old couple. I just thought it was completely rude for so little attention to be paid to these people, particularly when they needed some extra help. A little extra kindness and courtesy goes a long way. Sad that this lesson is not one that the Verizon sales rep chose to learn. All in all, Verizon does not have great customer service and this situation really proved the point. read more

I came into the store wanting to buy an iphone and I walked out without one. The sales associates were nice and helpful, but pretty much forgot about me once they found some other people, even though there were a few sales people not helping anyone. I wasn't going to buy the nicest phone but they would have had a sure sale if they wouldn't have ignored me. I'll just order one from the internet instead. Three months after my meeting with Christian, the Fios sales rep, I can officially say that nothing he promised me was true. There was a promotion for a free tablet and a $500 prepaid Visa card with the Triple Play bundle. With the Visa card factored in, the price was the same per month as just the internet, so I signed up for it. First, the tablet is not free, as there is a monthly charge added on to connect it to your Verizon service. This was not something explained at the time, and I specifically asked about it. Now, three months later, with no Visa card yet, I call to check up on things. Apparently there is no such thing as a $500 prepaid card promotion for Verizon, there are only 400 and 300 options. With my bandwidth, I only qualify for the $300 card, so of course they now tell me how it was not possible for me to have a card. There was a card connected to my account, but it was cancelled somehow shortly after my order was placed. The woman on the phone was nice and quite helpful, but obviously there is nothing she can really do for me. Christian is a scam artist, and he should be ashamed of himself. I would not have ordered this service without that promotional gift card to supplement the price. read more

Recently had a bad experience at a Authorized Retailer Stand alone store. The Long Beach store on Bellflower heard my experience and jumped in to help and apologizing for the a non-company store experience. Answered my questions, took care of problem. Verizon and Best Buy tends to lie, lie and LIE some more about their policies! We decided to purchase the Verizon Hot Spot package- thinking we'd try it out for a few days and decided whether to keep it or not. We agreed to the contract, but were NOT told of ALL the FEES that might incur if we decided to cancel within the 14 day window. They told us that there wouldn't be any penalty EXCEPT the 14 day use if we decided to cancel. $200 later, and a cancelled Hot Spot bill (because it didn't work for what we needed) we are now finally rid of Verizon's Hot Spot. We know this is Verizon's deal too, but we had to cancel in store, and we were not told of the fees that were added to our account after the cancellation. Later, looking at our Verizon bill, it was extremely high. Guess we had to pay a cancellation fee, and a 14 day service fee as well as another $100 back to Best Buy. What a RIP OFF! AT and T is looking better and better! I think I will switch once my contract is up! :( read more

i went in for an upgrade and a employee named Michael was who i got, so everything was fine until he asked what kind of phone i was looking for, i pointed out i wanted something simple and not expensive, he kept trying to sell the latest samsung or iphone and i told him thats a little too much for my pocket thats when things got ugly, all of a sudden he totally started treating me like i didnt matter he kept fixing his airpod like somebody was talking to him cause he kept looking away and i had to repeat myself when i had a question but never again, went to Lakewood got a new Motorola G7 and happy as can be , no thanks to Michael, he needs to go, made me feel terrible!!! read more

I went in there today with a friend because her phone kicked the bucket. I have to say, it was a very lackluster experience. The guy who helped us, Kris, was unhelpful and genuinely seemed completely unmotivated to help us. We asked him multiple questions to which he either shrugged or gave short and useless answers. We eventually politely asked for more time and googled all the information because it was such a waste of time. I have no idea why this store wouldn't want to provide better customer service. My friend bought the phone and only then discovered some features that had changed or were simply gone from the last version. It felt underhanded and frustrating when we were simply looking to get the best phone for her needs. Even when the guy was setting it up he was listening to music and completely ignored her questions. Naturally, phone setup took forever. They need to have more educational sessions for their employees or something. For now, go somewhere else to get a phone. read more

Verizon Wireless as a whole are nothing but CROOKS overcharging their customers on a monthly basis. When I signed up they assured me that my bill would be $96.xx per month, but I consistently received bills for $250.++ every month!! - I was also enticed by a free pad promo that would cost me an additional $10.00 per month, but when I canceled my cell phone service which was how I obtained the tablet they never informed me that I would receive bills for $90.++ because I did not specifically cancel both. I went to this Verizon store to get help transferring service to a new unlocked phone. Gilbert transferred the sim card and said none of the data would transfer because the old phone was not fully functional. I told him my old phone had serious display issues but was fully functional. I had been using it for at least a month in its current condition without any limitations in function. I also told him my contacts were in the Cloud. He had me log into my g-mail account (I have an Android phone) and did a few things. He then handed the phone back to me and reiterated that no data could be transferred because of the condition of the phone. In the course of these events, he took a personal phone call and posed for a selfie with some co-workers. I asked him what functionality the phone lacked and he said it would not connect to the internet. I accessed my settings and showed him that the phone was, at that moment, connected to the store's wi-fi. He had me log into my g-mail account again and did a few things and, voila, the contacts miraculously populated. This rep was obviously not knowledgable and was dismissive, distracted and untruthful. This may not be a reflection of Verizon's general service but they should screen their employees more carefully. read more

I just bought a new Iphone 6s last night. I think the guy who helped me was named Gil. He said that the store cannot transfer the whole content of the phone to my new phone, but was able to transfer the contacts. He didn't check the phone before he let me leave the store, to see if it works or not. Well, it did not. And I was already on the 405 driving back home. I was hoping that I dont get into any trouble while driving, and sure enough, after exiting La Cienega, got rear-ended. I didnt have a phone to use!! After exchanging insurance info, I went to the nearest Verizon on La Cienega and found out that the sim card was defective and said that they should have tested the phone before letting me go. The sim card was replaced, my phone activated, and they even transferred all the info and contents of my old phone to the new one. It was time-consuming but this particular Verizon Store on La Cienega (Not the Beverly Connection one), did the transfer for free. Some stores charge a fee! read more

Wow, Verizon just keeps getting worse and worse and worse. When I decided to switch to Verizon last November, one of the main reasons was because they sent me an email telling me that I would get a 15% discount off my entire bill because I work for the state of California. When I went to the store, they said the discount would reflect within two billing cycles. We are now on the fourth bill, and the discount is STILL not reflected. I have to call every single month and be on hold for forever and then argue with the person that answers the phone for several minutes before they agree to deduct the discount that THEY OFFERED ME to begin with. Absolutely ridiculous! NOW, they are saying that the discount only applies to the phone charges, not the data plan...hmmmm, that's not what the guy I talked to in the store or on the phone last month said...nor was that the offer that I got via email or in the store. I have now been on hold waiting for a supervisor for over 30 minutes. Let me just say that when my two-year contract is up, I am DONE with Verizon for life! read more

I've been a customer since 2007 on my cousins line then switched to my own line in 2008. And ever since I've been treated like a second class citizen when it comes to my upgrades. No matter how much Verizon fucks up my order I always get screwed some how and never compensated. They basically tell me "no" (which according to former employees they aren't supposed to do) to everything.. can I get a small discount for my inconvenience.. no this actually wasn't our fault.. it was the systems mistake.. WTF!? Since I've added people to my account all their phones get handled with the utmost care and done on time. While I sit on the phone every time at some point trying to fix an upgrade to my own damn line. I'm the main phone number! And MY order is ALWAYS fucked up. If Verizon didn't honesty have the absolute best coverage I would have gone to sprint or T-Mobile a long time ago. But regardless of what their sell out spokesman says.. all companies ARE NOT GREAT! But fuck me neither is Verizon. Tell me how I order a phone hours before the other phone on my account.. set my payment.. then have to call back to fix the payment on both phones.. only for the other persons phone to arrive before it was supposed to even be shipped out!? Wtf!? While mind is still in fucking Tennessee! I'm so sick of Verizon's bullshit with my account. Not that they'd give a rats ass about a long time customer complaining. I made an appointment using Verizon's on-line appointment and the reason for my visit (upgrading for a Galaxy S10+) at the Verizon store on Bellflower Boulevard. When I arrived, I was met by a representative named Michael who approached me. No smile, no warmth, aloof. He asked my name and the purpose of my visit. I told him I made the appointment on line with the reason for my visit. He said the information wasn't available on his electronic pad. I told him I was there to upgrade to a Galaxy S10+. I also asked to move to quieter location as there was loud Spanish music playing at the counter where he met me. He then proceeded to ask me if I was upset with him. What?!!! I told him I found it very frustrating that the appointment information had to be repeated in person. Disconnect between Verizon corporate and the local store reps. Michael asked "so you want a Galaxy S10, not the S10+?" Did you not hear me?! I asked for the S10+ on line with my appointment and again when we moved to the quieter counter. He asked what color I wanted (actually he asked "I hate to ask, but what color do you want?" Really, is this so difficult?). He brought the phone out in the color I requested, and I asked if he would be able to transfer between my old S7 and the new S10+. I learned that because it's personal information, so Verizon employees are not permitted to do that. Michael asked me a SECOND time "are you upset with me?" I told him "you've come at me twice with that question. Don't take it personally, but I hate coming to this store and just want to get the phone and leave." My experience with Verizon stores is being there for an extended period of time (over an hour) as well as the basket of accessories they try to push on you. Moving on, Michael asked if he could open the box and activate my phone. I asked if there was a personalization fee to do that. Michael glared at me for a few hard seconds, which I returned. My phone was activated and I was out of the store in 15 minutes. If this is how Verizon reps are trained to deal with customers, no matter what, I'll be dealing electronically with Verizon because I expect far better customer service with a more professional, friendly approach. So far, though, I'm enjoying the S10+! read more

First off, unlike the last experience I was seen in a timely manner by specialist Yeltsin who was able to fix my phone in ten seconds. This will save me $50 when I upgrade my phone in two months. There was a very short wait, and I got some attention from a representative (Francis) who was very friendly and helped me activate my new phone and transfer my contacts over from my old phone. The reps were friendly. But. Beware they will lie to you about the money they will save you. Also will try very hard to sell you crap you do no need. Sales lady got my name on iPhone contract wrong even after I gave her my drivers license. Worst was the rep for verizon home. Anthony Foggs. Told me he could cut phone bill in half by switching Name on account to mine from my spouses. Really think he lied to get a sale. Told me to pretend we did not have verizon before and hide boxes in closet. After big hassle and not having tv or internet for 3 days (I tried to stop new install once I realized I was not going to save us any money) our big savings might be $12.00 a month all of this comming from giving up land line. Monique page took forever to process I phone order but was nice. She sold me a mobile hot spot for a plan that is only 4 gb a month. If I did not love apple products and want an iPhone I would go back to metro pcs witch was cheap and hassle free. Verizon shut off home Internet and tv over 3 days and no one could help. My advice to whoever is managing this store is to TRAIN those kids you hire before you let them loose on the public. Most recently I had the rudest little girl in my face trying to tell me I must have let my minutes/money run out or 90 days had passed since I'd added to my "pay as you go account" (ancient account but suites my needs). Otherwise she couldn't imagine why, and did nothing to try and figure out why, each time i tried to add minutes in my usual way, calling 611 from my phone, i kept getting a message saying "i am experiencing technical difficulties at this time please try again later". This kept up for 5 days and I had no luck with any Verizon web pages or 1-800 numbers. I was basically being told by very rude people, just go to the store to add minutes. Well, NO! During one phone call I finally got transferred after i don't know how many times to a nice young man in the state of Georgia who figured it out. About a week before all this I had been to Long Beach Verizon store to have my number changed. This very nice, pleasant young lady helped me but didn't finish the required process to get my info switched over to the new number and so, the recorded message. The guy in Georgia figured this out with one click of his mouse. Train those kids on the products and services they are supposed to be selling and teach them some manners while you're at it. You aren't doing them any favors letting them treat the public the way some of them there do. read more

Worst Customer Service ever! I went to get a problem resolved and waited there for 30 minutes until someone actually talked to me. They could not even resolve my problem, because there was only one person in the store that was able to solve my problem according to them and she was not there of course and that she would call me when she would get there. Four days later and I'm still waiting for that call. The only thing they wanted when I was at the store was to upgrade to a new phone. I have been a Verizon customer for many years. I agree with the review that this store used to be my preferred Verizon location. Not anymore. The notion of good customer service seems to be a thing of the past. Employees here seemed unconcerned with trying to do what is best for the customer. Some have bad attitudes that do not belong in this type of service business. Some employees have very little knowledge regarding the products they are selling and Verizon policies. I am considering writing a letter to senior Verizon management. The store manager here did not do anything to try to retain my business as a long time Verizon customer. I am now considering a move to another wireless company. At the very least, I will not be returning to this Verizon store. read more
