I got my new phone+accessories here last Friday near closing time and overall was a good experience BUT I'm taking couple stars off because I was not able to unbox my new phone myself. During the process, the sales rep did go to the back for printing paper work.. checking stock.. etc. I didn't realize the last time he went to the back, he took my new phone, screen protector, and phone case then brought it out already everything put on the new phone.. I just don't get why he couldn't do that in front of me. It's my very first time in this situation and it made me uncomfortable. If I could give this location negative stars I would. I will NEVER go back here after my most recent experience. The "manager" Danny should be fired and re-educated on how to provide proper customer service. I bought a phone on Monday and was offered $1000 off if I traded in my old phone. The store didn't have the phone I wanted so I had to pick it up from another location. The guy who I was working with told me all I had to do was drop off my old phone once I picked up the new phone and I would get the $1000 credited to my account since the offer was accepted. When I went to drop off my old phone on Friday , I had to wait awhile before someone helped me. I got so lucky (sarcasm) to have to deal with Danny. I explained the situation to him and he acted like I was making it up because he said I was only going to get $415 off for my trade in. I told him that's not what I was told when I bought the new phone and I was going to get the $1000 off like I was promised. He gave me an ultimatum and told me the only person who could help me was the original guy I was working. He told me I had to come back and make an appt to see that guy, which I really didn't have time for. Basically, Danny didn't want to help because he wasn't going to get any commission from the sale. I rearranged my schedule and ended up making an appt for later that day. At this point as I'm walking away, I'm frustrated because I had other things to do so under my breath I said "F this". Danny became sensitive and claimed I said "F you" which I did not. He proceeded to cause a scene in the store and say he was cancelling my appt and I can go somewhere else. Obviously, Danny can't hear and didn't learn in school that you shouldn't make assumptions. First of all, the new appt wasn't with him so I don't know why he thinks he has the power to cancel his coworkers' appts. I told him he's not cancelling my appt because they were going to give me the $1000 off for my trade in. He proceeded to act like a jerk. I tried to be the bigger person and apologize even though at that point, I shouldn't have. Danny still continued to claim he was cancelling my appt and wasn't helping. I asked to speak to a manager but Danny claimed he was the "manager". This is exactly why younger people like Danny shouldn't be managers. They don't know handle conflict in a professional manner. It's not against the law to say a curse word and another guy in the store earlier said IDAGF when someone told him his shirt was on backwards. Danny didn't "cancel" his appt or refuse to help him. The security guard was probably the only decent employee in that store. He pulled me to the side and said to take a deep breath and go to another Verizon store. I went to another Verizon store and explained what happened at the Bellflower location. The guy there was so nice and willing to help. He said the $415 off was showing in my account but he pulled up records from when I bought the phone and saw that the $1000 off was shown as accepted so the deal still stood. Unfortunately, that store wasn't a corporate store so he told me to go to the Lakewood store. I went to the Lakewood store and that sales associate was amazing! I would highly recommend that location! She was able to call Verizon and get the $1000 off for my trade in. Even though she wasn't getting commission for the sale, she still assisted me because that's what great customer service is all about. If Danny would have been a decent human being and knew how to do his job, I wouldn't have had to go through all this trouble. I filed a formal complaint with Verizon against this location and Danny after this ordeal so that no one else has to deal with being treated unfairly. read more

Big shout out to Darell and Monica at this Verizon store. I'm a new I phone 13 user who transferred from an Android. After having my phone for 2 weeks , I realized I haven't received any voicemails. When people would call they couldn't leave a message and were prompted to put in a passcode ? I spoke to Verizon tech support on the phone and the first rep couldn't figure out the issue and literally hung up on me. After cooling down I called another rep who transferred me to "the higher tech support " who eventually told me they were from iPhone support and the problems lies with Verizon. I decided to go into the nearest store and met Monica and Darrell , both were courteous and empathetic . They eventually determined the problem reached out to their back office support after trying to troubleshoot and resolve the matter on their end. Although they couldn't fix it they made the right call to their back office support , who resolved the issue in minutes . Thanks again to Monica and Darrell , you both made my day !!!! read more

Unfortunately, as it happens to us all, I dropped my iphone and broke the screen...of course, that means I need a new one and thus a visit to the verizon store. I dreaded this visit... That said, to my absolute surprise, my experience at this retail outlet was AMAZING! I did show up on Saturday morning 10m before they opened...I expected a giant line but there was only a few of us. The store actually opened a few minutes early, not a few minutes late and the staff was super helpful. Juan was my assigned as my agent and I just really appreciated him. He new his stuff, he didn't oversell me stuff I didn't need and I was out of there in under 1 hour. This store was prompt in helping me resolve an issue (another location, not a corporate Verizon store, put a 4G SIM in my phone and didn't explain to me eventually it might have some problems because it needed a 5G SIM). I walked in, they quoted a wait time that was more than I actually waited, and they even let me use their phone because mine was not calling out, and I needed to contact the family member who had access to account changes. I'd definitely recommend this store over authorized retailer stores because it is corporate-owned. Showed up to this store 2 hrs before closing and had checked in online. I go inside the store where there are 3 customers and 3 employees. The store "manager" came up to me telling me they couldn't help me and that I could comeback 4 days later if I made an appointment with her now. I told her I already checked in. Her response " yeah you checked in online and I just removed you. We won't have enough time to help you." I told her they the sign says they don't close for another 2 hrs. She said she wouldn't be able to help all the customers in time. ( still only 3 customers in the store) Yet this woman didn't do anything but stand at the door not helping the "customers" that were "there" . Verizon Wireless as a whole has had some issues. It took me months to transfer service because none of the 10 departments I talked to could figure out why my phone were not getting shipped and once they got shipped they didn't know why they didn't work. So I wanted to go in person to buy a new phone and switch my service to it because of the hours and days I had to spend on the phone just getting the service set up but found out in person they are just as rude and unhelpful. I regret switching back and would encourage people to not switch to their service. All the budget services use their lines anyway. Verizon does slow them down a bit but for half the price I was happy. read more

Verizon Company Store on Bellflower Blvd in the Los Altos Gateway Center. Their hours state they are open till 8:00 pm, but upon arriving at 7:20 pm, we were told by the security officer that "these are their new hours," as she pointed to the 7:00 pm on the door. Then, one of the two employees had the time to come to the door and give a lengthy explanation as to why he couldn't help us with the 40 minutes their website said he had. False hours advertising. Jawan and Adell (sp?) were the two staffpersons who helped me, and they both did an amazing job from start to finish. They were professional, courteous and responsive to my questions/concerns, putting me at ease. When I arrived, Jawan walked me through the express process of picking up the phone. Jawan then asked if I needed any more help. I did and Adell helped me. Adell transferred all my data (texts, contacts, photos, etc.) from the old phone to the new one, a process that took about a half hour. Jawan then helped me to activate the new phone and tested it before l left, to ensure I wouldn't have any problems. They were both also respectful of my wishes to transfer the data directly, and not have personal data stored in the "cloud." I am one very satisfied customer. Thanks, Jawan and Adell! ---------- A couple of tips for customers. If possible: - Order and purchase the phone online. - Pick up the phone at an official Verizon store, not an authorized retailer. - Visit the store during a less busy time, and at least two hours prior to closing. I went around 12 noon on a Tuesday. - Have your login info to the Play/Apple Store in case you need to download any apps. - If you have a family/group acct, make sure you have the key security info for the account OWNER. I had account MANAGER privileges which should have been enough, but Verizon would only accept the OWNER's security info. Luckily, I was able to quickly contact the account owner. This restriction IS something that Verizon should address. read more

I came in to ask about the new unlimited plan because I went over data by 4gbs and I still have a week left until data resets. I've also gone over multiple times and I have(had) 10gbs. Kevin was calm, patient and answered all of my 128 questions. After the questions, he verified my identification and within seconds, BOOM! UNLIMITED!! Going to a Verizon store is never fun for me, but, as far as that goes, this was probably the most efficient experience I have had. Pros: -They open at 10am Sundays (about an hour earlier than other Verizon stores) -They listened to me when I told them what I came in for, and didn't try to sell me other products/packages -They were efficient - I was in and out in less than 20 minutes with my new phone -They are located next to Starbucks, so I could get my caffeine fix while I waited for them to open Cons: -I mean, no one ever seems thrilled about working at any Verizon store. The service is never amazing, but it is what it is. All in all, I would return here the next time I need a new phone because I appreciated their speed and they addressed my needs. If I'm walking out of a Verizon store and I'm not irritated, I'd call that a win. read more

I'd like to start off my stating that I have had Verizon as my wireless provider for almost 2 decades. I've come to this store plenty of times over the years but haven't over the last few years because I just upgraded online. Usually, the staff here is very helpful.. OR WAS. I came tonight asking them for help in number reassignment. Now, I have always favored Verizon for their customer service but they must have changed management over the years because the female sales associate was the LAZIEST cell phone sales employee I have ever dealt with. As opposed to helping me, she said, "Oh you can call Verizon and do it yourself." Obviously, I came into the store for ASSISTANCE. Who knows, maybe her sales didn't meet quota, maybe she didn't do well over Black Friday weekend, maybe she just assumed time spent on a customer who just bought a phone is time wasted. It's not often you find a knowledgable and friendly rep when it comes to cell phone stores. It seems as if people who work at cell phone stores never know what they are talking about. You go to one place and get one answer only to get another response to the same question somewhere else. I actually visited about 5 different verizon locations and spoke to about 3 reps online when I was in the market for an iphone 5. You wouldn't believe how many people actually respond to questions with answers like "I think ...." Or "it should...." R u for real? Verizon should learn to hire people who know what they are talking about. You would think a major corporation like Verizon would have some screening process before they hire people right? Or when they launch a new service plan campaign, they would train their employees. For the first time, my wife and I were extremely happy with the service, knowledge, confidence, and expertise of a sales rep. We stumbled onto Michael Horton at this Verizon a while back and we don't go to anyone else for anything EVER! Not only does he know what he's doing, he does things very efficiently. Up until I met Michael, I thought going to do anything at a cell store was like going to the DMV. I've seen other people at this store working half as hard as our guy so I see why the overall rating for this store is so low. If this is the only store in your area, make sure you ask for Michael.
