I'm going to start by saying my issues with Verizon started years ago. It's not just this location that is an issue, it's the overall customer service of the company. I went in today to have my phone serviced because it's not charging. I came in with a phone that wasn't charging and left with a phone that wasn't charging so clearly my issue was not resolved. The rep that helped me was not rude in anyway but clearly wasn't interested in actually helping me. He took my phone into the store and duplicated the issue and then said he could do nothing to help. He said because my phone has a crack on the back I had to file an insurance claim. The crack has nothing to do with the charging port but whatever, you want to make the company an extra $30 by pretending it does. He then said I could charge the phone wirelessly. That's great and probably would have resolved my issue if he would have actually sold me a wireless charger. (Do I actually have to tell you to sell me something to make my phone work?). On top of that I have 3 lines that are all eligible for upgrades and that wasn't offered to me either. So he provided me with 0 options to leave with a working, charging phone upon leaving the store. So the expectation is that I continue to pay for a non-working phone until whenever a new one gets shipped or you guys decide to think outside the box and provide good service. Nope, not me. I immediately disconnected a line I really didn't need anymore and have an appointment with another carrier this week to port my other numbers out. Verizon is probably the most expensive of cell phone carriers so that should come with exceptional customer service. Also, I fully understand COVID restrictions limit the amount of folks allowed in the store and don't disagree with the protocol. I do however find it strange that I'm visibly pregnant and was made to stand outside for 20 minutes even with an appointment while someone who arrived after me was immediately allowed inside the store by another employee and no one came out. That person likely had an appointment too which is fine, but if I had to guess, they let all the new sales in and make the existing customers wait outside because they aren't getting commission for it. Anyway after this experience I'm completely done. I've been considering switching carriers for a while and today's event sealed the deal. read more

I went to my local Verizon Store to complain the battery would not stay charged & inquired if my phone was on a recall list. Because of this store and my last transaction, Verizon has lost a long time customer. Verizon has been my carrier since the early 90's and I used to love that I could call and talk to someone. Now you can only chat or go into the store. Recently I upgrade my Note9 and tab4 to the galaxy s22 ultra and tab 8+ via the online representative using their chat. I asked for the s22 ultra 512Gb and the tab 8+. I also ordered the book cover for the tab, a case and screen protector for the s22 ultra. I received everything Monday night only to see that I got the s22 ultra with 256GB. I took it to a verizon store on tuesday to get all the data transferred but they wanted to charge me 50.00 per device so another 100.00 on top of the 2000.00+ that I had just spent for the equipment. I was furious and walked out and went home and spent 3 hours getting the devices activated using the online chat. Then I was going through the accessories only to find out that the book cover and case were not for the tab 8+ or s22 ultra so once again I had to chat with someone who couldn't fix it and told me I had to go to the store so I went to this store on Bellflower and it was a 45 minute wait. They weren't able to exchange the items so I had to do a refund instead. Then I was checking my account and it shows the new phone but the old tablet so I once again had to chat with someone who once again couldn't fix the issue so I once again had to go to this store and this time it was a 3 hour wait so I once again walked out. This store is horribly understaffed and there were staff members standing around talking when I walked in and they were still standing around talking when I left so no wonder there were 9 people waiting and a 3 hour wait. Once I pay off these devices I will be switching carriers as Verizon no longer cares about their customers and has seriously fallen into the pits of customer service. He explained all of my different options and patiently waited as I changed my mind multiple times and bounced ideas off of him. I am writing this review for the Verizon Store in Los Altos in Long Beach CA. I will not make this in details but I was treated like I was stupid by Sandra. Sandra works for this Verizon Store!! She may have NOT realized that she really did NOT help me with my problem about my Cell Phone. I needed further help because of the ID situation. I was given a reference number as requested by another Verizon agent on the phone when my phone was apparently hacked!!! I cannot make a call at all and I cannot receive calls. As you can imagine this... the issue is NOT resolved yet... Sandra said to wait till Monday, tomorrow. Meantime, I do not have any text or emails which I regularly have and pay for. I usually get good service at Verizon. However, I went in there today to find out why my internet wasn't working on my phone and a lady named Abby was supposed to be helping me. She was rude and didn't want to stand still long enough to answer any of my questions. A few times she just walked off and left me standing there. I'm an existing customer so I was not purchasing anything. Perhaps this is why she didn't have any time for me. The store was not even busy. Very unfortunate experience. I love the customer service at the Verizon corporate store on Bellflower Blvd. They get you in and out fast. I got just what I wanted, in short order. I went there on Nov. 3, 2017, and a new iPhone was coming out, so they expected a surge of customers and brought in what looked like 10 or 15 extra customer service personnel. Wow. My old phone had died, two weeks before, and when I called in, on my landline, I made the mistake of not pressing the button saying it had been lost or stolen. I didn't want to lie, but that would have suspended my payments until I got a new phone. I called in after I got my new phone and they straightened it out, to my benefit. Can't beat that. I know dealing with any cellphone company can be frustrating, but give these people the benefit of the doubt. Give them time, they deal with a lot of customers. read more

I sent my mom in (whom is on my account) to purchase Apple Care for her phone and was met with all attitude when she walked into the store. The employee that asked what she needed help with wasn't wearing a uniform that Verizon employees usually wear. I will never recommend anyone to go into this store. This store has gone down hill for quite a few years now with employees whom don't seem to care. My suggestion is if you really don't like your job please quit and find another. I missed the opportunity to provide a survey for my salesman because I waited too long to do it. I must now immortalize this man on cyberspace. I don't focus too well & often times people lose patience with me because of this trait. I am the type who will unintentionally poke & test your threshold. Jawan was the greeter that day and I had to wait a good while for an available sales person - no appointment. Jawan alway came back to make sure I was okay. At the end, he was the one who took care of me. I looked like I was the type who could only afford an Obama phone & smell funny. Little he knew, I make 6 figures & I'm decently funky fresh. He treated with with dignity & respect regardless of my appearance. I was waiting to be sold to. He threw at me all the great deals that was going on and applied discounts I didn't know I had. I kept asking, "What else you got for me?" A week later I came back for more stuff asking only for him because I knew would he take care of me. Greeter says he was on lunch but I said I was going to come back because that's my ninja. I'm like, NAH! I CHOOSE YOU PIKACHU! Next I want a car, a yacht, vacation packages, and bling**. This store is a trap! Twice they have offered me new devices with free service for two years and both times they lied! I was offered the Ellipsis 7 for $49.00 with 2 years free service only to have the salesperson run from the phone when the charges showed up on my bill. Over and over people made excuses for where he was or why it couldn't be true! I was livid, to no end! I was obliged to pay for a device I never wanted to buy! Round two happened this past April when I went in at Contract renewal time to upgrade my phone. Again, two pushy kid salespeople try to convince me that if I try out their silly HUM device it will be free and save me 4 bucks on my bill. I didn't believe them, nor did I want the device. They made me take the thing anyway! I called to complain the next day and was told that I would never be charged, to try it and 'heck, it's free'! Now it's on my bill and nobody will take it back, or off the bill! I'm done with this store! They lie, manipulate and make your sales experience absolutely miserable! My Samsung Galaxy cell phone was on its last legs. After having a horrible experience online with Verizon trying to order a new phone and basically being told the lie that I could not order a phone online and pick it up in a Verizon store and being quoted ridiculous prices with an employee plan we have, I just gave up and decided to take my chances in a Verizon Wireless store. I ended up in this store in Long Beach after going to visit my parents in Seal Beach earlier. All I can say is thank, God. Not only am I thankful I ended up at this particular Verizon Wireless location, but I was greeted by several staff members when walking in and was approached by salesperson, Kevin. I cannot explain how my experience with Kevin changed my whole day and my entire opinion of Verizon. When he greeted us, I explained to him about the very frustrating online experience we had. He apologized and said the information given to us online was erroneous and that we could have ordered a phone online and picked it up in store but he said it always best to come in store to see all the options available and work with a salesperson. He spent a lot of time working out a deal with us with the money we wanted to spend to get new phones with our plan, get us the exact new Samsung phones we wanted, threw in cases, glass protectors, Jetpack hot spot unit for way under the price I was expecting to pay for one new phone. Not only did he do that but he also reduced our monthly phone bill in half!!!! I was beyond ecstatic. We were literally in the store for about two hours, but I did not care. The time, Kevin, took to find us the best deals on our phones, get us accessories to boot and reduce our phone bill was beyond amazing to me. I felt like a person again and not a $. Nobody wants to spend a lot of money to replace a phone right before Christmas. Thank you, Bellflower Blvd., Long Beach Verizon Wireless store, but most of all, thank you, Kevin. The time you took to talk and work with us was above and beyond. You made my holiday season that much happier by helping us save money, and I will always travel out of my area to come back to this store because of the exceptional service I received here. read more

How do I give a ZERO star? They are only getting a one star because it is conveniently located next to Starbucks. Thats it. I have been here many times and I thought that it was just the few staff that I have dealt with during my time there. But then I realized that I've been there about 6 times and all 6 times, I met with a different staff member. ALL of them were... 1. Unhelpful 2. Unreliable 3. Didn't know WTF they were talking about 4. Arrogant 5. More concerned about getting us out of there than to even help us. Honestly, you would think that people who work in customer service know at least a little customer service. I guess not. At three different occasions, I actually wanted to purchase a new phone. They seemed so uninterested in what I wanted and needed (a new freakin' phone). I didn't even ask too many questions, I already did my research before going to the store... I just wanted to pick up the darn things, but after the staff were rude and arrogant and condescending towards me, suck my big toe and hell to the no!! I ended up going home to order my blackberry tour, my husband's Droid, and now my Droid. Thats three different sales that they lost. Also at one point needed to add a line to the account, thats another huge loss. I really hope the district manager or somebody reads this and other reviews and quickly realize that the staff there needs a boot or a quick help to pull their heads out of their asses. In particular, big older man... well, he's actually kind of short, but he's wider who seems to need a belt or something as he is always pulling up his pants the entire time talking to me. Also, the big white guy with dirty blonde hair who doesn't know how to smile and has no business working anywhere in sales or customer service. Buyer Beware! The "Switch to Verizon" promotion is not what it's cracked up to be. We went in to the Bellflower Blvd, Long Beach location on March 6, 2016 to inquire about the "Switch to Verizon" promotion where they would reimburse up to $650 per line. We had 3 lines and were about one year into our AT&T contract. Lynn, the "solution specialist" gave us a detailed summary showing how we would be receiving up to approximately $800 to cover the cost of our switch from AT&T to Verizon, so it was going to be very little out of pocket when it was all said and done. However, that was not the case at all. It ended up costing us over $900 with less than $300 reimbursement that we are still struggling to get from the promotions department. When I found out that we were only going to be getting approx $300 back ($500 less than originally stated), I contacted Lynn at the Verizon store to inquire about the discrepancy in what she quoted us. She informed me that there was nothing they could do and to contact the "verizon switch" promotion line. After four months, multiple submissions of paperwork, literally hours on the phone being transferred to various representatives, different departments, and being disconnected, we are still without the full reimbursement for all the lines. After much effort, we have so far received partial reimbursement for one of the lines in the amount of $96 on a prepaid Visa card. I called to activate the card which is good for only 6 months. The card was denied at Target, Trader Joe's and Ralph's market, which was embarrassing and all the more frustrating. This process has been a total nightmare. We feel so cheated and disappointed with Verizon, its representatives and the store for not trying to make this right. Lynn, the solution specialist and her supervisor at this Verizon store have washed their hands of it and did not make any attempt to rectify the situation or satisfy their customers. Furthermore, the "Switch to Verizon" representatives continue to give us the run around to get the remaining part of the reimbursement. We would never had made the switch knowing how much money, time, and frustration this would cost us in the end. Shame on you Verizon for not taking better care of your customers. read more

Would give them 0 stars if i could. Employees lied about corporate discount (Boeing Employee) -- informing me that they had cancelled the 25% discount on smart accessories "2 weeks ago". I then called several Verizon stores in the Long Beach area who confirmed that I could still receive a discount on the item i was looking to purchase (FitBit). I then called the corporate store and they confirmed that the 25% was still applicable to the accessory that I was looking to buy and then routed me to someone who was able to take my order. I've gone back to the Verizon store and they refuse to budge. I have my wife the fitbit and then will make sure that my friends and neighbors know to avoid this Verizon store.... Other Store Cons: Employees are first and foremost sales personnel. They try to up-sell you on everything. This solely based on the excellent help I received from Verizon Wireless employee Alex today. Like I told Alex, I'm usually in and out of the store lickety split to pay bill at the kiosk. I don't make any eye contact with the sales people. I just want to do my thang and get out. Today I needed help transferring hundreds of photos from my old phone to my new one and it was a challenge because even though my old phone still functioned, the screen was completely black and I had stopped backing everything up periodically. Alex tried something then suggested I get my laptop and bring it back. I set up a time to revisit my problem and he succeeded in getting everything I needed off my old phone! It took about 45 minutes and he had so much patience. I really appreciate the time he took to help me and best of all it was at no extra charge! I wish I was able to give this store no damn stars. I understand it taking 20 minutes to be seen but that is where it ends. The person that "helped me" more or less screwed me. I switched from another provider and he told me as soon as I get the bill they (Verizon) will pay it off. Well just so no one else makes that mistake it is not true at all. You have to upload everything and then they kick it back to you saying they need more information and after a month they still drag their feet. Then they tell you it will still take six to eight weeks to process everything. So now I had to take a big hit to my bank account because I am a Military Veteran barley making it on my disability as it is. I was looking to lower my payment not have to pay more on both ends but thanks to the people at Verizon I am still being shafted. This brings me to my next point. The damn bill! I was told that my bill would not be more than 159.00 a month even after I moved my significant other over to my plan. Well, my bill is 23.00 more then they promised. I am so damn agitated with them and there want to screw John Q. Public over it is sad. I am hoping that after this next bill (bill number 3) it levels out I am already filing a complaint with the FTC because the sales persons purposely mislead me. So, I decided to make a Yelp just to warn everyone about this terrible place. As working in the service industry during high school and college, I usually think Yelp-ers are rude and over-demanding; however, this is the epitome of an exception. STRAP IN YELPERS, IT'S GOING TO BE A BUMPY RIDE. I don't usually call people out, but here is a shout out to the ever-so-lovely SALES ASSOCIATE PHIL at this Verizon location. My roommate and I just moved to downtown Long Beach, and we were in the market for internet. We wanted to stay away from Charter and Comcast doesn't come to our area, so we wandered into Verizon. A very helpful FiOS rep came over to us and checked to see is FiOS was available to our area. Alas, it was not. That's okay, move along. We asked about if Verizon has a stand alone wireless type deal. They said YUP and here comes ol' boy Phil. In my opinion, I think you should run away from Phil, seriously, don't look back, and run. So Pleasant Phil starts a conversation with us, and we give an explanation on what we are looking for. We say there are three of us in our apartment, and we all have three iPhones, a laptop, and a smart TV to which we would like to use to stream Netflix and HBO GO and all that cool junk. So, what does Phil offer? Phil offers the Ellipsis Jet Pack. We say, "Hey Phil, would this be good for nine devices?" to which Phil replies, "Oh yeah, it is good for at least TEN DEVICES." Ok cool, let's pick a plan Good Ol' Phillip. We choose the 12 GB, continuously asking if this is good for this many people's wireless needs, and he says that it's plenty, and we might even be calling back to reduce our GBs because we most likely will not need them all. We sign up for the plan, go home and turn on the jetpack, AND THE NETFLIX GODS SMILED UPON US. We took heed to Phil's advice and turned off our jetpack every night before bed and every day while we were away at work from 8am-6pm. We used it to watch It's Always Sunny (KITTEN MITTENS!) for three hours and my roommate's iPhone was hooked up to it for four hours. And on the third day, I got an email saying that our data was used up and we went over. THREE DAYS with our wireless and we were over. I call corporate, who says that we should have never been sold the Jetpack because it is more used as a travel hot spot rather than home internet. She even said it's crazy that we told him we had nine devices, and he still sold it to us. I called corporate again to see if we could reverse the charges since we were miss-sold, and after she also agreed that we should have never been sold the Jetpack for home internet, she connected us to this store's manager who told us to come in. EVEN THE LADY STORE MANAGER OVER THE PHONE SAID WE SHOULD NOT HAVE BEEN SOLD THE JETPACK FOR HOME INTERNET. So we returned to this forsaken place where we first talked to Phil, who claims to have never known that we wanted to use it for nine devices or home internet. I decided that, in my opinion, Phil is clearly useless since he has no idea what is going on and can barely make eye contact. I calmly ask to speak to a manager, and another Phil comes over with the title Manager. So here I am standing here with MANAGER Phil and OTHER Phil and again explain to them what I was sold and how it wasn't right. MANAGER Phil says that since he was not there during the time of sale, that he cannot side with how we were mis-sold. MANAGER Phil says that OTHER Phil was merely trying to, and I quote, "problem solve" for us when we couldn't get FiOS. HOW NICE OF YOU PHIL, YOU BIG OL' SWEETHEART. Problem solving at this Verizon is, as I now understand, the equivalent to selling me a very expensive fly swatter when I am being attacked by hornets. They made me pay the restocking fee of $35, so I now have had to pay $200 for three hours of It's Always Sunny. I would like to say that Charlie Kelly and Green Man are worth $200, but I am a entry-leveler and cannot afford that luxury. Here is another shoutout to PHIL, because when my roommate told her dad what happened, he said that it was the last straw and is now looking for another service for his business's plan, WHICH IS $3,000/MONTH ACCOUNT YOU HAVE LOST FOR VERIZON, PHIL. So as my closing statement, I would like to congratulate SALES ASSOCIATE PHIL at the Bellflower and Spring Verizon store, you fooled a young lady into buying an improper product. Your slimy salesman tactics won this time Phil, but I am now more cunning now and I will arise in glory. On the flip side, I am also a firm believer in karma, and I know that someday that $200 will come back my way in the form of something better, probably in my career choice of not being a slime ball salesman. I wish that there was some way to not be forced to give an actual star to this store. I originally went in on 9/27 to order an iPhone 6 Plus. I received a receipt stating "Order Confirmation" with a confirmation number on it. It was an actual receipt. You know, the one that is three feet long full of disclaimers. The phone was to arrive on 10/18. I called to check up on the delivery date five days ago(10/24) and was told that I would get a call back. That return call never happened. Today, I called and found out that the order had mysteriously disappeared and that they would have to place it again with a new ship date of mid November. Backing up a bit, three to four minutes after ordering in store originally on 9/27, I had second thoughts and went back to talk to the salesperson to cancel. They told me that it was "impossible" to cancel as it was not in the system yet as the order was just placed. I then called customer service and was told that this salesperson was not being completely honest(lying) and it could be canceled in the store. I understand that this one unit may have changed his commission tier so I will not take my aggression out on Robert. Well, it is now the 29th of October and the Manager, Amber Catchings, asked me if I would be interested in the iPhone 6 as they had one in stock. I told her that I had large fingers and she then told me that 7 out of 10 people that ordered the 6 Plus wanted to return it as it was "too large." No, I am not making this up. A manager for Verizon told me that 70% of people who purchased the iPhone 6 wanted to exchange for the smaller 6 model. That is staggering. I asked Amber Catchings to point out the "lying liar who lied to me" so that I could express my displeasure and she had the good sense of telling me that it was out of line to communicate to him in that manner. Bottom line, if you order something from this store, make sure several times that the order actually placed, even though you have a receipt with an order number. Amber Catchings communicated to me that it was not unusual to have that order "disappear" out of the system due to the poor technology. I do not question her because she made it clear that she was ranked #1 in customer service for Verizon for the past few years in the territory. Again, I cannot make this up as this is what was communicated by her. Please do not buy anything from this store. I beg of you. They lie, are incompetent and do not care. I am excited to see my current phone not work due to someone in the Long Beach office shutting it off somehow, wanting some sort of retribution based on my having simply the lowest of expectations in customer service. read more

If I could give them 0 stars I would do so. By far the worst customer service I have ever received. In the past two weeks I have been visited this store to purchase new iPhones and fix a few things on my account but I was never able to even get that far. With that being said my family and I will no longer be visiting this location even though we've been loyal customers for the past 6 years. During my first visit, a young lady with brunette hair, probably in her late 20's or early 30's, assisted me. Prior to helping me I over heard her talking to a fellow employee how she was ready to go home and her job which quite frankly didn't make a good impression. From the beginning she gave me attitude and cut me off when I was speaking. Although I was there to purchase three new iPhones, she told me she couldn't help me and walked away to help another customer. I asked the manager to have someone else assist me which resulted in the same way. He interrupted me while I was speaking, told me I needed to pay outright for the phones even though I had two upgrades etc. I left immediately and went to another store and purchased the three phones I originally planned for. Because I work in the service industry I never judge businesses off one negative experience, so I gave this location another try! I arrived at a earlier time to avoid waiting etc. A older woman approached me intending to help me back up my old phone to my new 6s. Instead of explaining to me about iCloud and its benefits she came off condescending, acting as though I was stupid for not knowing how to properly use the feature that was on my phone. After she backed up my phone, she failed to assist me with anything further, nonetheless even ask me if I needed anything else! I was intending on buying an iPad and hopefully some phone accessories but I couldn't wait to get out of there. I was appalled and left with yet again, another horrible experience. This happens to be the only Verizon store I have been loyal to since I have moved here but I promise you I will never return to this location again. They really need to work on how to respectfully talk to their customers and do their job correctly considering they make commission off their sales..... WOW. read more

Happen to walk in and Adrian help fix my phone saving my pics putting in new sim card. Rebooting it. I was planning on jumping ship. But now I think I will give the big V another chance. There are some new phones coming out and all my family are way past due for an upgrade. But my experience here has always been pretty good. BEWARE! Verizon has the WORST customer service! I have the s7 edge (which is deemed waterproof on the Samsung website for 30 minutes in 1.5 meters of water). I told the associate that I was having problems getting rid of an error on my screen and that I might have gotten it wet the previous night. The associate proceeded to tell me that it's not actually water proof and that they could do nothing for me. I asked about getting a replacement phone through my accidental coverage and he said it would cost $150 dollars. (Even though it's a phone that should not be damaged with a splash of water). Besides being a little irritated that I would have to pay for a manufacturer error, I was willing to pay $150 dollars because it's much less than the retail value of a new phone. I asked if there was any option for a loaner phone while my new one was being sent and he said he could not help me with that. I would have been stuck paying $150 for a manufacturer error and phoneless. I proceeded to call Samsung and they were equally, if not more, unhelpful and unwilling to help create a reasonable solution for this situation. I went through a similar horrible customer service experience the last time I had an issue with my phone. I think the manager's name here is Nate, and whatever it is, he's a fucking saint. My family's on some joint plan, and it was decided we'd turn in our phones for upgrades, all at once. This ended up being a two-hour debacle, and even though I'm sure Nate wanted to kill himself when my mom started pouting and insisting he had to find her a Tinkerbell phone case, he never lost it. It was so incredible overall that I asked for his supervisor's info so I could send along a compliment. The store itself is fine, there's, y'know, a lot of phones, and a service desk, and the neatest part is that when you go in, they take your name, and there's an electronic board on the wall with the names of who's in line in what order. Does this make it go faster? No. You just feel less like the salespeople forgot about you. And it's like being a celebrity! read more

They made me cry :( They wouldn't even hold my phone, just kept saying I need more data. I came for help with my settings but left in tears. It's frustrating to pay so much for a service and then be dismissed when I need help. I just wish they would have looked at my phone and TRIED to help. I'm still crying cause I feel so desperate. I just purchased a Droid incredible online and when I turned it on the camera didn't work. I stopped by at 3pm on a Saturday to see if someone could either fix it or replace it. Jackie at the service counter was helpful and quick in trying to figure out what was wrong. She offered to get me a new phone, but as soon as she opened the new phone, my camera started working on the old phone. Maybe she has a magic touch, I don't know. This place had excellent customer service even when swamped with people. I work nearby and would stop in again if I had a problem with my phone. read more
