I went here when my iPhone overheated last year and my car wasn't shipped back yet from TX. They were the only "Authorized" retailer in walking distance and disguised themselves as an actual Verizon Store. Turns out they're not. The guys who run the place come off as they're trying to sell a car, pushing you through multiple hoops to get a contract together. They made it ultimately an asinine experience, and they're not nice. Most of all there are fees still being trickled in which I wasn't notified about upon signing the contract. Disgusting service. I decided to give my family new smartphones. I decided to become a Verizon customer. I ordered three brand new smartphones right in this office. I spent two hours there so that everything would be done as accurately as possible. Today I received a notification that my order has been formed and sent to this Verizon branch. However, the order is not what I asked for, not what I wanted. I spent two hours in this store and they managed to order for me not at all what I asked for. Now they say that in any case I have to wait for my order, then cancel it and then make an order again. As a result, instead of positive emotions, I got a waste of time, nerves and problems. Shady business practices and poor customer service. Upon purchasing an iPhone 6 in July 2016, the sales person walked around to the accessories rack, placing multiple items of his choosing into a bag. This included two power chargers, a case, and other items that we did not want. When the sales person presented my wife the bag, she indicated she did not want the accessories, only the phone. The salesperson stated there was no additional cost... the accessories came with the phone. When my wife arrived home and looked over the receipt, she found ~$200 worth of accessories that she explicitly stated she did not want (for instance... two chargers, when the phone already came with one). She returned with the receipt two days later and the store manager said there was nothing he could do, but he would email the director. After hearing nothing back, we returned in September, and again the sales manager indicated he would contact the director. The director never contacted us, and there was no response from the sales manager upon our further inquiry. Verizon customer service stated the store should have returned the merchandise if we had presented a receipt. When we asked Verizon to credit our bill, they indicated the could not. As this was a significant breach of trust, we cancelled our Verizon account of +25 years and moved our four lines to T.Mobile. We gave the store and Verizon customer service multiple opportunities to make this right... and they did not. read more

Go anywhere but here for service with your Verizon Phones. The manager at this store is worthless and knows zero about customer service. He won't acknowledge you when you enter the store and won't make eye contact when you ask him questions. I went to upgrade 4 family phones and after getting numerous promises that my new phones will only increase my bill by $20 - $30 per month, by bill increased by over $100/ month. I went back to get clarification and no one could confirm what my bill should be. They literally could not tell me what my monthly bill would be. Also found out by calling customer service later that week, that the employee helping me put in the wrong code on one of the phones I traded in, and I did not get a $700 credit that was due. I am still working on getting that taken care of 2 visits and 2 weeks later. If you have to go to this store ask for Stephen he seems to be the only employee that was committed to solving customer problems during my multiple visits. That said, my advice is to stay away as dealing with this shop is a nightmare. read more

SCAM ALERT! Horrible service. Completely unhelpful and only looking to take your money. If by some unlucky turn of events you find yourself at this location and for some reason you can't just hightail it out of there, be VERY wary of their dishonest tactics. They speak fast with a bunch of jargon to try to confuse you. Also, just in case you are not aware. This is a 3RD PARTY STORE, not actually Verizon but I feel like Verizon corporate should take responsibility since it is terribly misleading. I asked how to tell a 3rd party store from a corporate store and apparently there's "A Wireless" or "Premium Store" attached. But the line is incredibly faint during the day and almost non-visible during night. Just to give you a little taste of what their practice is like, Verizon only charges you $35 to restock your phone if you want to return it. This place charges you $75. I purchased the extended protection plan to protect my iPhone 7 plus with a screen protector. Of course when it came to "process a claim" I was prepared for battle! Once again the staff here at this store stepped up. My new best friend is Victor. He explained that I would have to go on line; download a new protector, and get them to mail it out. Bummer right? No! customer service oriented Victor studied my account, saw I was a good returning customer, and fixed it on the spot. This is why I come to this store and stay with Verizon. This store is terrible. They told my wife she needed a new Mi-Fi device when hers would not stay powered on, which cost $150. The real issue was it just need a new battery $8 on Amazon. I went back within the 14 days of purchase and they were going to charge a restocking fee of $35. They said an option would be that they can take $10 off our bill for the next two years and we'd have our savings. I decided to do that. It turns out how they removed $10 off my bill was to lower my data plan, but I had to find that out on my own after I got home and Verizon sent me an auto text confirm plan change. Went back to complain and they said yes that is what we did but I also turned on safety mode so you will not have any overage. I ask why is there no overage anymore and they said because all the other carriers are doing it. He never explained to me what safety mode really is. Well, I went over my limit last night and I'm now in safety mode. It reduces your speed to 128kb. WTF. This store is terrible and they do not give you the saving you think you are getting nor do they provide you all or any of the details. Does your dog bite? No. Dog bites me. You said your dog doesn't bite, that's not my dog. Never going back to this store. read more

I initially called and spoke with Fabian. I had read a review about him and his great service on Yelp, so I was pleased to recognize his name. Just from our brief conversation I could discern that the Yelp review was spot on: Fabian was knowledgeable and nice. Later on that day (Christmas Eve), I walked into the store. Two other guests were being helped and so I waited. I was acknowledged by one of the employees (who turned out to be Fabian, but I didn't know that). Being in the service industry for 20+ years, I really, REALLY appreciate being acknowledged, even when it means I still have to wait. Because it means that although you're busy, you see me and I matter to you. My business matters. Soon after I was being helped by Caleb, who as it turns out is the Manager (looks too young to be a GM, but don't let that fool you, he has experience and finesse). Caleb was helpful, he was efficient, and he was fast. He was able to waive my security deposit (magic!) and he didn't mind taking the time to show me different options. I am SO happy with my experience at Verizon. I'm a former AT&T and Cricket customer, who was shopping around and had walked into Sprint AND T-Mobile looking for some holiday deals. Verizon had the best customer service, so much so that it didn't much matter to me whether I was getting the better deal. What a scam. They say items are free and then charge you for them. Be careful of the tablet scam of $10 a month extra. Have them print out what you are signing!!! Just switched to Verizon, but I won't hold this store accountably for the shitty cell service in the South Bay. I came in on a Sunday and have perfect customer service, the real A+ treatment. Too bad they didn't have the current iPhone I had with AT&T. So I agree to commit to Verizon, they lock me in and give me two smaller versions, 64 -iPhone 6s. I place the order for the 128 - iPhone 6s and 128 - iPhone 6s Plus. So far I'm not too happy, but I can't deal for 5 days! Flash forward 5 days. I call to confirm they are in. They said they had only one left and after checking my account, the salesperson said I was eligible. Great, no problem, right? Wrong! The package included a Verizon tablet (in which I'd have to add another line to my account), car charger, generic accessories, insurance and other things for $200. He said that the store "made the SKU's bundled" so the package was MANDATORY. Not an option. You had to buy the $200 package in order to get the iPhone. Not cool, bro. I called him out on his bullshit and walked out. I want a new phone but I don't need one that bad. I called Verizon corporate to let them know about this store. I got ripped off and terrible service. They sold me a number and it never worked. They could not solve it for two weeks. Then referred me to Verizon Corporate store. The Corporate store explained that the Verizon Premium store at Artesia is a retail franchise. They Corporate store said that store has had complaints in the past and is not a knowledgable and has bad service. I asked the Premium store at Artesia for a refund on my previous number and they refused. I had to call Verizon corporate to intervene and get my credit back. Wasted several trips to this reseller. I suggest the manager regroup and retrain their people for better service. read more

Caution - this store has a scam that is their standard sales practice, encouraged by manager, Irving. Avoid, and if you have to go here be diligent. This is not a Verizon owned store. This store is owned by ABC Phones of North Carolina. Read the BBB complaints against this company. They work on a commission basis and will try every means possible to include charges on your bill that you didn't ask for, including adding insurance you didn't ask for, and accessories added to your bill. If for some reason you already shopped here, check your receipt carefully. If you buy a phone on the new Verizon monthly plan, their standard fraud is to tell you that you must put down a "downpayment". This is false. Consumers that qualify for the Verizon monthly pay financing plan are not required to pay a down payment. But since the New Verizon Plan is new, most people just take what they say at face value, assuming that someone would not blatantly lie to them. That is false. Instead of an actual downpayment, they will just inflate your bill with accessories you didn't ask for etc. Do yourself a favor and avoid this establishment. read more

AVOID GETTING SCAMMED. Wish I read these reviews before hand but I probably would have went there anyways because I was just upgrading a phone so what could go wrong. They are commission based and will lie to you. Got there and explained I wanted to sign a new 2 year agreement and get the iPhone at a discounted price. Guy helping me says okay and then someone else comes over and persuades me to do a payment plan and how it's cheaper and that i could upgrade again in a year for the newer iPhone. I do that and he gives me a case and screen protector for free. So he says. Never saw my bill Bc he walked me out of the store with the bag of stuff but I was charged $50 for a screen protector and I was getting charged $9 on my bill for insurance, without that being communicated. Gets better. While I was waiting there for 1.5 hours because this guy had no idea what he was doing the same dude tells me Verizon is giving out free tablets or routers. I said no I have an iPad and he says "well it's free so you might as well take it since you pay so much to Verizon" so I take it. Don't realize until 2 months later that I was being charged $10 a month for service and $9 a month for insurance, which was NEVER mentioned. Called the store to ask what happened and a guy says "did we mention our 14 day return policy?" Had corporate call the store and I called the store and explained my story and the manager listened to my story then said he was helping a customer and would call me in 15 mins and I've been waiting for a week for that call back.... I've been a Verizon customer for 14 years and because of this store I'm canceling my service with them and going else where. I have to pay a $170 cancelation fee for the tablet because they signed me to a 2 year contract for that, again never being told. There's a $700 cancellation fee for the phone I bought as well since they had me do the payment plan. And another couple hundred to cancel the 2 lines I have. DO NOT GO TO THIS STORE. This is a review for the store on Artesia in Manhattan Beach. I was waiting for an hour and a half to see someone. When I finally did, the person who helped me seemed to be new and didn't know about the products or how the services worked. I just came in to return one smart watch and decided to buy another one with the promotion. It should have a been a quick solution but I was there for 3 hours! This is the worst store. They lured my wife and claimed that she can get a new iPhone and all the features would be the same, and after two months, we see two things: 1. For two months we were charge $150 per month more 2. Out hotspot capability was taken out 3. We were tricked into buying a new ipad and an additional line. When we went back, Chris claimed: 1. There were lot of mishaps that happened, but we can't really do anything about it. We can change your plans again for additional $30 per month and give you hotspot. This is a good Verizon store, albeit not a corporate store, but a premium wireless retailer, they're well versed, informed and educated about the Verizon services (plans and equipment) that they sell. I went here 2 years ago to set up an account and the person was very knowledgeable and friendly. I revisited the store again to renew my contract, and again, 'tho a different person, the staff were very nice and friendly. Verizon has month-to-month "at will" type plans now which essentially starts around $65 for the normal user, which includes a $20 monthly access fee and then about $45 per month for 3 GB of Data for smartphones. If you have your own phone, I think you're all set and need nothing else (I could be wrong 'tho). However if you're looking to get a new phone, then what they do (and offer no real incentives for contracts, commitments nor paying in full) is take the price of the phone you want and then divide the cost into 24 months, so it's part of your monthly phone bill, and that's anywhere from an additional $20-35 per month for 24 months (then at that point, hopefully your phone still works and you're not looking to buy a new one, so your bill then drops in monthly rate). The average smart phone costs I think about $500-800, be it Samsung Android or Apple iPhones if you're looking for something decent that you'll be happy with and won't outgrow in the next 2 years. I've been a customer here and they're honest and trustworthy to represent Verizon. It's a convenient location. read more

This is a retail branch. Not a major Verizon store. That means be wary of hard up-selling and getting told the opposite of what anything you've seen on the verizon website or told by any Verizon operator. I came here twice and it wasn't until the second time, that I told myself (and anyone who would listen) to never come to this store for anything. When my SIM decided to stop working, I came here to replace it. The clerk took a look at my phone, held it up in the air, and proceeded to explain that my SIM reader was bad in my iPhone. You know that look you make when someone says something totally insane? My face froze in that position for the next 15 minutes until I drove to a real verizon store, where they put in a new SIM and I went merrily on my way. The only thing this Verizon branch is good for is telling everyone where NOT to go for anything whatsoever. read more
