Do not believe anything the wanks in the Verizon store at the Pheasant Lane Mall tell you. The too good to be true deal really was, as the 'District Manager' Brian lied to my face and told me my bill would be $360, which was $100 less than my previous providers bill. Sure enough, it's actually $200 more at about $560 each month, as he swept any additional monthly charges that I'd owe under the rug. Of course he was sure to get ahold of the paper he was writing all this down on and dispose of it (who would have thought...?) so there was no evidence. If you have T-Mobile or AT&T do not switch to Verizon. Oh, and two other things Verizon related. I had the date of my first payment incorrect in my calendar, scheduled for 2 days after it was due. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Because I was 2 days late Verizon decided to shut down my cell service, so no calls or texts, and nothing when away from wifi.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Also, I recently made my next payment (5 days ago) and I keep getting hate messages telling me I need to pay.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Huh? on 9/16 I ordered a new IPhone 17 from the 282 DW Hey location and arranged a trade in. I've been Verizon customer for 19 years and could have easily received a comparable trade in deal at Xfinity but stuck with Verizon. Took my mother in to upgrade her cell phone. They were all fairly useless. They don't know much about any phone, other than "that one isn't as reliable" or "we get a lot of returns on that one" or "that one doesn't have the bells and whistles of that one" with no mention of what those bells and whistles are. The salesman (salesboy?) we got was utterly useless and not helpful. We didn't get much help from anyone and struggled to understand what we had to do or needed to get done. In the end, we did buy a new phone because it's one I knew was excellent and I could help my mother with. We could have just bought it online and saved us the painful experience of having to walk into a store. What's worse is none of the phones have labels - you have to tap each one to see what it is (Samsung, Motorolla, etc) as well as the price. Not a huge fan of touching these things over and over again to get basic info. You end up having to pick each up and look under to see the brand. And the organization is terrible - some Samsung phones here, some over there, maybe another over there. Our sales kid was practically useless. Such a weirdo. He must have been brand new but talked to us like we were his high school pals. I especially enjoyed the way he completely, and I mean that he actually physically did this, turn his back to us and wouldn't look at us at the end of our purchase. We still had some concerns over the new phone but he was quite literally, and I mean literally as in this happened and not "literally" as anyone under 25 means, done with us. I've read the other negative reviews here and they sound very apt for this store. I believe each and every one of them. At most they did copy over the contacts from the old phone to the new and sold us a phone we happened to want and they happened to have in stock. I stopped into this location on 05/10/2024 a little after 5:00pm or so. When I walked in I took a moment to find an employee by looking around and Raphael immediately noticed me and asked what he could help me with. I explained that I wanted to pay off my monthly phone bill, pay off my old iPhone 13 Pro (which broke a few days prior), and get the new iPhone 15. He right away said that yes, we could do that. He directed me to pay my bill at a kiosk while he was arranging what was needed for my other requests. I had a little bit of trouble finding out my full balance, and he looked it up on the spot on his tablet and told me the full balance for me to type into the screen and make my payment. Next, he told me that he was ready to start next steps and that he would return shortly with a quote. He returned in a timely manner and broke down all parts of the quotes, and answered all of my questions with easily understood elaborations. He helped me set up my new phone in store, again answering my questions the entire time. It took around 20-25 minutes for my new phone to finish backing up from my old phone. During this time period he was very friendly and we shared a pleasant conversation, while he helped me through the different steps needed. I would give this store a Zero if possible. I went in for a SIM card issue, which was corrected and I was very happy. But then I got home and apparently the store employee signed me up for a bunch of new services I did not give authorization for. Then to add salt to the wound - there was no way to call the local store. All posted phone numbers were to the great void of the Verizon call system. So I was forced to make a special trip and drive 15 miles back to the store to deal with these new services and deal with employee. BOO BOO read more

Came to this store to switch from T-Mobile and right from the get-go, the technician Jackson Sullivan, started off with his BS that Verizon is more expensive than T-Mobile as we are a premium service etc.. When I inquired him about the iphone 15, he was pretty much quoting nearly $80 more than what a store in MA had quoted earlier. The reason I didn't go to MA store was to save on MA taxes. He even went out of his way to get my fiancé his phone from another store as they had none in stock. Cruz has exceptional customer service and definitely deserves recognition for that! read more

Kinda disappointed with Verizon's effort to push more expensive services when all we came in to do was learn about the company's offer to do a "even-steven" trade of a used Samsung Note 9 for the new Samsung S23. Which was, of course, fine, but then we also got from the salesperson what seemed like a virtual shell game of options that, at the bottom-line, would have increased our monthly bill by a whopping 50%. This comes within a hair's breath of being a bait-and-switch ploy. So, this was obviously more than a simple trade, but also a means to get us come into the store (the "bait"). Since we were not dissatisfied with the performance and quality of our Note 9 phones, prudence required us to walk away this time. I get it that this is how businesses may try to improve their bottom line and be profitable, but come on! Your customers are smarter than this. read more

There should be a negative star option, this would qualify. I have been a Verizon Wireless Customer for over 23 years. I most recently shared a 2GB plan with my family for $76 per month. I received notification in June 2022 that the plan was going up to $88 per month. I called the Verizon to discuss options and they convinced me to move to a 5G Start Plan, one for each line. I could trade in my iPhone 11 Pro for $800 over 36 months, also receive a Military Discount, and a 55 plus loyalty discount all for right around the $88 per month amount. I said ok lets do it. Well after the dust settled and almost 30 days later, I am told I cannot get the 55 Plus Discount and that my monthly amount will be $123 per month. In addition, my bill is automatically charged to my credit card every month. That does not count as autopay and a $20 discount. They want a debit card, checking account, or get the Verizon Credit card. I have talked with multiple Verizon Customer Service Representatives, and they all apologize that I was given wrong information. Now if I want to cancel, I need to pay for the new iPhone 13 Pro in total. I am retired on a fixed budget, as well as being 23 years loyal customer and they don't care. Sorry you got wrong information. I think it is time for a change. read more

The worst customer service I have ever experienced. I'm planning to switch to another carrier because of it. The person I dealt with should be fired. I asked to speak to the manager of the store since he was of no help. He told me he was the manager. When I left, I told him he was a terrible manager. I was at the Verizon store behind their desk on their phone speaking with customer service. The technician who was trying to help me made the call to Customer Service for me. Unfortunately, she had to leave. Customer service was trying to help me and asked me to connect with a technician. I asked the "manager" if he could speak with customer service. He honestly said he wouldn't speak on the phone and I would have to wait at least an hour for a technician to help because there were people ahead of me. I was already in the store for over half an hour. I wasn't trying to jump the line. I was already in the queue. Was I supposed to keep Customer Service on the line for an hour. I was so upset when I left that my daughter and her friend went back to the store to speak him. He treated just as rudely. read more

The "general manager" michael Adams (i used those quotations because he informed me at least three times that he was the general manager of the store and made the decisions) he was condescending and actually laughed at me when I tried to explain that I didn't drop my phone and that the back exploded because it was too hot.. I understand the restrictions with COVID but he wouldn't even let me into The store, I had to stand out side with him, with Masks In the 92° heat, 6 feet apart. Legit would leave 0 stars if possible. Came in at 5:30 and instantly the employee rudely states how they close at 6pm. I told him I just needed to pick up some orders and he said it would "take too long." I responded saying the orders are ready for pickup right now and shouldnt take more than a minute to grab and hand to me and since the store was open for another half hour there should be zero issues. He then proceeded to get aggressive and threatened me to leave. I told him I would go nowhere since I had not received the product I paid for. Another employee eventually came and brought me the items and when I asked for the first employees name he said "he didn't know" and another employee chimes in with "he doesn't legally have to tell me his name."Very rehearsed responses (I assume this store has had legal issues before) and were scared of more complaints. Upon calling Verizon they entirely brushed off everything I said and it never went any further. Upon leaving I even said "this is the worst customer service I have ever received" and the original guy legitimately said that he did not work in customer service... Not only rude but exceptionally stupid as well. I'm literally like the last person to leave a nasty review cause some people have off days and I get that but this was beyond anything id ever experienced in a store. This is intended for Verizon Home Fios Internet Corporate Customer Service. Wherever that is! A customer of Verizon for 10+ years, and every time I have to call I am misled and left paying more money. I called to have a service tech come to move a hardwired router. I was asked 3 times if I wanted to upgrade my equipment or my plan. I declined stating we were not having any issues with the current and did not want to pay more. The tech arrives with ALL NEW equipment in hand. He proceeded to tell me they no longer service the equipment I had so I have no choice. I was NEVER told this by any of the 3 agents I spoke with who tried to sell me an upgrade. His replacement of my equipment made the internet extender I OWNED no longer compatible and they refused to replace it for free even though I was misled about the intent during the visit. He tells me if I take my old equipment to a local store to be shipped back, a credit will be issued - LIE - the store does not deal with billing. The supervisor, Ms. Alback, that I spoke with makes it sound like I should be grateful I have new equipment, and that there is nothing she can do, I have to live with it and now pay more to get what I already had. She states it is their right to replace equipment whenever they want and I have no say. Clearly, she does not understand customer satisfaction or how to be a reputable company that does not mislead its customers. I have been a director of customer service for years, there is always something you can do if you want to make it right with the customer especially when the customer has been misled again! I do not know how these companies are allowed to treat customers this way knowing if you want internet they leave you with little choice for change. Judging from the 1.09 rating on the BBB they don't care and no one plans to change their less-than-honest tactics. It is wrong in so many ways.  Telling me you are sorry after the fact without any kind of resolution except "deal with it" or "ok if you cancel your service" is just another lie.  Doing nothing to stop the years of dishonest practices makes each of them incompetent in their jobs. read more

I came in to turn over old phone (literally hand it to them) and I am on a 6 person waiting list. They are currently quoting people 30 minutes or more wait time. Went there and changed from at&t and they rushed us through and didn't transfer hardly any of my needed information from one phone to the next. They gave me the impression all they cated about was the Sale. Luckily I kept the old phone and saved my info. I get an 18% corporate discount so the price was much cheaper with Verizon for that reason only. However the customer service when you call and the phone reception is terrible. Actually hurrendous. I paid the $75 restocking fee and they changed $174 for the first month use (only had the phone for 10 days) and went back to at&t. Wow great service at AT&T and 10 times faster Internet with the same s6 phone. I am not kidding. OK maybe 8 times faster. Do not waist your time or money on Verizon. Trust me AT&T has it all over them hands down. Even when I was originally leaving AT&T they were great unlike Verizon who were kinda nasty. read more

Went in to upgrade my gfs phone as a surprise for Christmas. After picking out the phone, I asked multiple times, if she would get any type of notification of the purchase because it was a SURPRISE. I was assured she will not get anything. Moments after I bought the phone, my gf asked if I got anything at Verizon because she got a text saying "thanks for the purchase" ...I tried to play it off as if I got a charger or something but after some investigating she found out. I went back in to ask why she got a notification after I was told there's no way she would find out.. reason was, someone put my gf as the account owner instead of me. Something that should have been caught after asking me all MY security questions.. how about we double check before telling customers things that aren't true and not to take short cuts! Try to upgrade my iPhone turned out to be a very frustrating experience. Long wait aside, the rep simply refused to be helpful in every way - first tried hard to sell me the new "sharing everything plan", then pushing hard the accessories (at very inflated prices), and finally only want to give me $40 for trade-value for my iPhone 4 due to "evidence of water damage" when the fine prints itself simply required "in good working order" and my phone is in good working order (sends/receives calls, plays music, runs all the apps). They also refused to do a cross-activation due to "Store policy" even though I called Verizon in advance to make sure this is feasible. In fact I later learned all it involved was swapping SIM card from one phone to another. All the while they didn't spend any time discussing the features of the new iPhone 6 and 6 Plus because I was still on the fence which one to get. I became so infuriated that I simply packed up my old phone and walked out of the store. They just lost a customer for good. read more

I purchased a Droid online but much to my disappointment, the battery wouldn't charge or the OS wasn't recognizing that it was charging. I did some non-invasive troubleshooting. I took the battery out and just used the phone with the charger to rule out the charger as the source of the problem. Cruised the Android forums and searched for any known software issues etc. Finally switched batteries with a friend who has a Droid and voila everything was working. So I went to the verizon store to get a new battery for my new phone. The place was really busy so i added my name to the electronic queue. After about 20 minutes, a rep called my name and I proceeded to explain the problem. The rep immediately informed me of the importance of making sure the phone is fully charged before using it. Are you sure you charged it for 3 hours? Was the little red light blinking etc.? (Light? Vat blinkin light? Vat you mean by dees light?") Okay I know these people are well trained and know their stuff and they probably interact with many people who are not technically savvy. But why is that their de facto assumption? I am somewhat used to this attitude so I was patient and after another 15 minutes, the rep did exactly what I did and came to the same correct conclusion that the battery was faulty. He gave me a new battery and sold me a docking station (sweet!) and all is right with the world. All in all the employees are friendly and professional but I just felt that the whole process took a lot longer than necessary and it is pretty obvious that customers who are making purchases have a higer priority than people requesting service i.e we already bought the phone/service; not much incentive to help. read more

Well, when people joked about how awful Verizon's customer service was, I always thought it couldn't be too bad, but boy was I wrong. These people are friendly enough, sure, but that's where the positives of the place end. I was lured in with the promises that I could customize my phone plan however I want in order to save myself money, and that they would have no problem entering my employee discount into the system (The only reason I switched to Verizon in the first place...). Well first bill comes in, at a whopping 130$ for a plan for one person. I asked them to give me their cheapest plan, and they ended up giving me their unlimited plan which costs a fortune. I have to call their crappy customer service every month to fix a problem on my bill every month. My discount was never entered, and every person I talk to about it claims that I need a work email to do it (which my employer doesn't do) or I need to go back to that god awful store. Ultimately, any business that forces you onto a contract, almost guarantees that you're not going to enjoy being a customer, Verizon is a prime example... read more

We brought our business account to this particular Verizon location and was given a quote for all of our lines. After careful consideration we switched over to Verizon. Our first bill was TRIPLE the amount. It took over a week to hear back from our store rep. with the correct amount. Paid that. Next bill came with a large PAST DUE amount because they only fixed a portion of the problem. Again, no luck getting them to work it out. Third bill came, again, out of control. We spend over 12 days without a response and cancelled our lines. We had to go back to this location to work it out. Wasted 2 trips after being told our rep would be there but wasn't when we arrived. On our second trip I heard a customer trying to explain their problem no less than 5 times to the rep. Then he got aggravated and the MANAGER MIKE came over and told him (and loud enough for the whole store) that he needs to treat the rep like a "human being" and with "respect" or he'd be asked to leave the store. I didn't bat an eye until I had to deal with this jerk, MIKE. He would NOT listen to anything I said, constantly interrupted me and was just plain rude. After being interrupted MANY times I told him he demanded the customer treat them with respect and I deserved to be treated with respect as well, no interruptions. Then he got even more rude. At that point I just threw my arms up in the air and decided to leave. I'll be cancelling ALL of our lines now. MORAL OF THE STORY: Don't treat customers bad or you will lose all the business. (10 phone lines in total). What an a$s. I wish I just went to the other one further up the street to get better service.
