I went in to this Verizon store with the hope of getting a line taken off of my plan and a number reactivated on an old phone of mine, I was able to get the number reactivated, but the guy I worked with acted as if reactivating my number was a chore rather then something he was happy to help with. He also assured me that he had taken the 3rd number off of my plan but when my bill came it was still showing as active on the plan. Would not recommend this store. read more

I switched from Verizon to Xfinity because Xfinity is substantially cheaper. Verizon did not and will not terminate our service. I began a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and discovered that Verizon is NOT BBB accredited and has had more than 38,000 complaints like mine lodged against them in just the past 3 years. I should always remember that the in-person experience is going to be better. My old phone stopped working so I ordered a new one online to be shipped to my house. However, the order got held up because they couldn't verify my ID (cuz they kept sending verification codes to my old phone). In the end, they told me to go to a store to verify my ID so I did. While I was there, I asked if they could just sell me a phone instead. The manager was great & had a rep get me through the process quickly. So, lesson learned. Stay away from Jonah who used every tactic in the book to try to sell this elderly gentleman a home internet service (which sucks by the way) using classic pushy/scare tactics, a service for transferring data which is really just nothing than pushing ng a button, cases, chargers etc. It's gross. This store only cares about upselling, not customer service. There is a few POC people waiting for over 45 minutes but they are just chatting it up with the white customers on top of it. This Mall 205 location is my favorite Verizon store. While, like many of you, I have had issues with Verizon's prices at times, it's still my choice to remain with them because of coverage and good customer service provided by THIS store. I've been going here for years and haven't remembered to post a review! Bad me! So what triggered this review? It was yesterdays visit, where we received most excellent customer service from Robyn S. My Mom (79) is on my account, and like the Portuguese 'I Love Lucy' character that she is, she left her iPhone 5s on the hood of her car and proceeded to drive on the freeway. Yep. Where she promptly saw it go sailing by her driver window, after which it got smushed by a semi. My Mom. Gotta Love her.......which I will when I'm done pulling my hair out. With a tearful Mom (cue Lucy Ricardo's squished up tear streaked face and quivering bottom lip) we headed off to the Mall 205 Verizon store. As soon as we walked in we were greeted by the smiling face of Robyn, who proceeded to make everything better. I purchased a new iPhone 6s Plus for Mom, and Robyn listened carefully to everything Mom asked for. Including a bright, easily seen, phone case. Robyn guessed correctly that Mom would love a sparkly case, but I brought her back down to earth with a rose gold Otterbox case. Pretty and practical! Robyn dressed it up with a 'PopSocket' holder/gripper thingy for the back of the case. Now Mom can easily hold on to her case with her arthritic fingers. While there we did talk to Robyn's manager and asked him to make sure she got brownie points for her excellent customer service. And since we were TWO happy customers, then she should get DOUBLE brownie points. LOL I appreciated the humor that came along with the great customer service. My Mom is thrilled with her new phone and the larger screen. And for me, I received the 'Oldest Bestest Daughter' award once again. Thank you Robyn for the fabulous customer service! Normally, I love the service at Verizon stores. Today I scheduled an appointment to remove and replace the screen protector. It is cracked to the point that it affects the use of my phone. When I got to my appointment, I was told that a) they didn't think they had any in stock and b) that I was would have to remove the old and put on the new one myself. Classic Bait and Switch! We went in clearly with our phones and current plans. We were given a price, on paper. Went to have lunch to discuss. Came back and the same guy quoted me twice the price for my phone choice each month from 20-40/per month til my contract was up-- even though he knew I had a contract before. This kid knew and discussed the fact I had a contract before with my husband-- and he KNEW all circumstances -- we made sure of all of that. I was only a customer of Verizon for 11 days. They said if I canceled I would get my money back within a 14 day period. I showed up to cancel since I was not getting consistent service from my iPhone or my Jetpack(purchased at this store) .....today I was only getting .03mbps.... I was told when I canceled that I would have to pay a $50 "RE-boxing" fee for returning my device. The representative who handled the return said this was standard... I was never told this and I would not have purchased it with this fee. I was planning on testing it out instead of using my tether feature on my phone. I was told I could just take it back if I didn't need it. I called 611 and was told the manager would be able to waive the Re box fee since I have had an open technical support ticket out since I began service 11 days ago.... the manager told me otherwise and charged me $50 for returning my device. When I started service 11 days ago it took me 3 trips to the Verizon store and about 4 hours trying to get my number to port over from AT&T. I really wish I could have stayed a customer I know Verizon generally is supposed to have the best service that's why I tried them out. Unfortunately this is the second time I have been a customer in the past 6 years and my last experience had several technical issues also. Unfortunately I think I'm burnt for good. Went in tonight after getting some ill advice from phone customer service on a recent plan change. I dread going into the store based on past experiences in other locations of long waits, not helpful at all and constant upselling. I just stopped going to the store and only dealt with phone customer service until now only because I had to. I first went to what I thought was a Verizon store on 82nd/Powell but they couldn't help me. They're actually a vendor store even though their sign says Verizon. He said I would just get the same answer at an actual Verizon store. Well that wasn't the case. Christian helped us right away, fixed our plan issue and we were out in 15 minutes. For the past 6 years, my wife and I used to go to another Verizon Wireless store that was closer to our house. We thought all phone store employees were the same...halfway between a DMV worker and a car salesman...not at all interested in customer service and only interested in commission. We just subjected ourselves to them every two years, trying to get in and out as quick as possible with our "new every two." We just happened to be over at mall 205, and I decided to stop in to look at the Android phones. After my great experience with the very helpful staff at this store, I will drive the extra 1/2 hour. I have told numerous other people how good my experience was there. Our sales rep, Randy B, was very knowledgeable regarding the battery life of different phones and data usage plans that would fit certain models. He also was able to assess my needs in a phone and find the perfect one. Additionally he made all the receipt copies we needed and cut out the UPCs from the boxes and put them all into envelopes so we could just drop the rebates into the mail. Wow! read more

In the past, this has been my sneaky spot to walk in and get an iPhone on release day... laughing all the way at those folks who camp out downtown outside the Apple store. Ha! Friendly folks, but they still have to operate within the terms set by their behemoth corporate telecom overlords. Location? Close to my home, close to the freeway, and a parking lot that's better than a New Seasons, but still worse than most. The three stars are really for the employees. A very nice and knowledgeable young man named Jose met me at the door and said he would talk me through getting the phone set up and transferring data from the old phone. I refused because my company paid this number and I do not have authorize on this number. They flag my application as fraud and do not let me apply an family plan. I told them I was just going to check out the Galaxy Tab and they quickly pointed me to where they were sitting. Soon after, a sales guy (wish I remembered his name) came up to me and asked me if I had any questions. I told him I was trying to decide and he was actually a voice of reason. He didn't talk me out of making a horrible impulse purchase, but just asked the right questions as to if I really NEEDED it. I didn't expect that from a sales guy. I have been to this store twice in the last week, both times I have seen the service staff treat clients like sh!t. The store has a policy of putting you on a wait list the moment that you walk in the door. The wait times were half and hour and a full hour the two times that I was there. Sounds like they need to hire more people. My first visit was awkward - as I was standing by the door a man walked in. The Verizon employee wanted to check him in. The guy said that he had just talked with a manager on the phone who told him to stop in and pick up his replacement battery. The employee insisted that he get on the wait list because "everyone is waiting to be helped and it would not be fair for you to cut in front of that lady", pointing to me. The customer again repeated his request, this time mentioning the manager, who he just spoke to, by name. The employee repeated his statement as well, once again pointing to me, implying that I am some impatient assh0le. Responding to the employee's condescending attitude the customer asked to speak to a manager. The manager then came over & apologized, got the guy his battery (which is what was promised) and he was on his way. NBD. That situation could have been handled so much better but the employee - now they have a pissed of customer who could have easily been serviced without hassle. After waiting a 1/2 hour a gal came over to help me. She proceeded to tell me that the information that I had received about my new phone set up was incorrect (it had been given to my husband by another store employee a few days before) and she would "see what she could do to help me *sigh*". Well, geez, I hope so, since I just waited 30 minutes to be helped. Not off to a good start. After getting my phone set up I decided that I wanted a screen cover for my phone. She sold me on a $25 one, which she installed. With bubbles in it. When I asked her about the bubbles she said "well I can keep pulling it up for you, but it will loose it's stickiness". Basically making me feel guilty about wanting a good product. I was pretty upset later about the fact that I did not stand up for myself a little more and demand a replacement, but she had already given me the impression that I wasn't getting anywhere with her. The final straw that day was when I was standing at the counter waiting to pay and the original employee (the rude guy who shunned the other customer) came up to me to apologize for the man's behavior. "I'm sorry about that guy earlier thinking he could cut in line". I took this opportunity to know that I was not bothered by the customer's behavior and I would not have minded if he got helped before me. The fact that I was involved in the interaction at all was very unprofessional and embarrassing. Second visit - not any better. This time there was an hour wait. Checking in at the door I was encouraged not to wait, since the store was closing in an hour. The store employee told me that what I wanted to do could be done online. Then when I tried to ask him about my screen cover (hoping that they would be willing to help me get it fixed since I had not been happy with the installation) he told me that everyone in the store was waiting to ask "one small question" and that I would have to wait to talk with someone about it. No thanks. Unfortunately, the employees of this store seem to feel (or have been trained) to think that we are all idiots. Their holier-than-thou attitude might work for pressure sales but it does not make loyal clients. It makes the customer feel sour on the brand and after purchasing a $300 iPhone, $50 case, $25 screen cover and a $55 battery recharger I would like to think that I am not a disposable customer. The person"Christian" told me he would not honor the restocking fee of a phone I purchased out of pocket because their insurance requires a phone be sent to your house 2-3 days after you make a claim and I need a phone to do my job. I came here yesterday hoping to buy a new phone. The girl who ended up helping me out just wasted my time. She had long blonde hair and a giant fake diamond ring on. She was RUDE and had the shittiest attitude. I asked to switch my line from another carrier so I could get a new phone at a discounted price. This took a very long time. When she was inputting my information she just stood there and stared at me. After a while of just standing there I asked "Is it done processing my information yet?" Then she smugly replied "Ya, it's been done." How in the hell and I'm supposed to know whats happening on her screen?! Then after she told me everything was what I asked for she tried to charge me $600 for something that she said would be $200. I told her that this was disappointing since this is now what I asked for in the first place. She obviously wasn't paying attention. She gave me a look that could only be described as "I don't give a shit if I wasted your time." As I walked out she condescendingly yelled at my back "Have a GREAT day!" I was never rude to her so I don't understand why she would treat me like that. I don't know why you would go out of your way to be a jerk like that. After this I went to T-Mobile and they took really great care of me. I will never go back to this store. This is a story about being dumb. Last October, I got an email notice from Verizon Wireless--a company I've been with for ten years, offering me the opportunity to upgrade from an iPhone5 to an iPhone 6s about two and a half months before my two-year commitment was expired. What was I thinking? My iPhone 5s was nearly paid for (that same two and a half months to go). I arrived at this location where I purchased my last phone. The place was packed. I proceeded to wait and wait and wait and then finally got a sales rep who rushed me through the process so fast I wasn't paying attention. I ended up getting an iPhone6s, with no money down (again--I usually pay for these things because I don't want credit card debt--what was I thinking?). This also meant, I would surrender my iPhone5, which was virtually paid for (what was I thinking)!!! I was so besotted with my new phone, I barely paid attention to the screw job this promotion actually was. Almost immediately, I had problems with the phone. For one thing, Google Maps and Apples GPS functions were not working. I went to the Apple Store Genius Bar where a condescending "genius" grabbed my phone after I explained my problem, fiddled and tapped his way around and handed it back to me, assuring my problem was solved. The GPS voice command would tell me my first step of any address I gave it, then remained silent for the rest of the journey. I was trying to drive and read it at the same time. My old GPS had to be reinstalled. I went back to the Genius Bar at Apple where another condescending "genius" replayed the former "genius"' playbook. Still the GPS on either map app refused to speak after the initial first step. I went to Verizon twice to get this addressed, with the same results from the Verizon folks. Finally, I went back to Verizon at the suggestion of a Verizon sales rep to simply exchange it because I had a warranty and insurance. Good idea. Bad execution. I got another condescending sales rep who refused to deal with the problem. He just said, I can get your phone replaced, but it will take the weekend because we can't overnight a new phone over the weekend. I don't have a land line. Or we can give you another phone, but you'll have to pay $218 which would bring the phone to it's halfway paid level. Why this was necessary was unclear to me. I had already given "Kyle" my Amex card, which he went ahead to charged without saying that if he did, the money was non-refundable. I told him I wasn't going to pay more money after bad. Still, like an idiot, I didn't stop and question him as I was leaving the store with a box from a new phone and a receipt for $218. He had assured me that I had my old phone back. I asked three times, and all three times, he insisted that it was my old phone. Well dumb old me, started to think when I got back home, "why did he give an iPhone box. I looked closely at the receipt and saw his "sleight of hand." "Kyle" lied to me. He had given me a new iPhone 6 and charged my credit card. I immediately called Amex and protested the charge. I called the Verizon Wireless store. The more I was in touch with the people from this store, the worse it became. I was told, "sir, you asked for a new phone." By this time I was screaming at the rabbit hole I had jumped into. I hung up screaming! Later that day, "Steve" the general manager of the store sent me an email reaching out to me that he would do everything he could to resolve his matter. I decided to try to calm down and deal with it the following Monday. Steve was not in on Mondays, when I called. So today (Tuesday), I tried again. Steve got on the phone and as I explained, he recalled our conversation and with this reply, he said again, "but you bought another phone. Your old phone is gone." That means that not only did I love the iPhone 5, but now the iPhone6s was gone too. I was stuck. The Verizon Wireless store scored on the selling of both my phones and continued to try to fleece me of $218. I was getting nowhere. There was no attempt to resolve this other than to yes me to death. I called Verizon's customer care desk and said, I have to pay off this phone because I'm leaving Verizon TODAY. I do not do business with thieves and snake oil salesman. The young man who tried to help me in the customer care, tried and failed to resolve this. I will never purchase a Verizon Wireless product or service again. They have proven themselves to be unethical in the way they treat their older customers. And let me say finish by saying shame on Verizon for not being able to help their customers sort through the complications of these very complex "smart phones." The only skills they have, it seems to me, are an ability to separate people from their money. BUYERS BEWARE. read more
