This is a phone service review. In Feb. 2026 I talked to Xfinity. They offered me free wireless for a year and a $52 phone if I switched from my provider. The timing was great. I was not employed, which I later shared when they first stated that I owed $200, then later $300 on the phone and would pay $50 for wireless: "You should have read the contract." Yes. Read the contract, since Xfinity does not honor their word. They said they would listen to the Feb. phone call, then soon after said that my complaint was closed. It's like they aren't even trying to hide the racket, I just wanted to set up my internet for my new apartment and they totally lied to my face multiple times about some "promo discount", which I was already suspicious of, but it turns out it doesn't even exist. I confirmed what the monthly price is going to be like 4 times and it didn't turn out to be true. Now I have to try and deactivate my line that they fraudulently had me add, which will take ages because they'll do anything to get you to stay with them so that they can milk you like a cow. Ryan and Karina were really helpful and cool to work with. I hate having to do stuff like this, but they made it an easy process PLUS they got me a juicy deal on my internet and cellular. The only thing that would top off the vibe of the whole experience would be if their cleaning crew used fabuloso instead of the windex stuff they were cleaning the floor with. I have been a loyal xfinity customer for almost four years now, three of which I switched my phone over to. For the last TWO months I have been trying to upgrade my paid off IPhone 14 Pro and have received nothing but the run around. Zero communication from workers. Customer service that I just got off the phone with cut me off the entire time and never allowed me to get a full sentence out, to the point I have to speak OVER him just to vaguely get my point across. They are claiming the only way I can upgrade my phone is by paying in full and let's be honest, who is able to do that these days? Follow-up: Cell phone service worked for two days. Now again, no cell phone service. Corporate Rep. was able to fix the problem three days ago, but now, the rep shuffled my issue back to the store level. Going on four hours now and still not fixed. Note: the store was unable to resolve the issue in the first place! Initially, the Corporate Rep fixed the issue but we are now back to square one.The absolute worst utility/cable/cell phone service I have ever experienced. Save yourself the pain-DO NOT switch over to Xfinity Mobile for your cell service-you will regret it. Today (the fourth time in the store trying to get my problem fixed), while I was waiting an hour for the assistant manager (low bar there, obviously) to try and figure out how to fix their numerous errors in starting/activating my service, all I heard in the background were numerous other people with jacked-up stories of how the Xfinity personnel/customer service/tech support either failed miserably in their jobs or were so inept as to be utterly useless. Complete garbage. Switched over from Verizon for the supposed excellent cost-saving deal and bought a new phone. Across the board, they have systematically failed. Now going on five days without cell or text service due to their ineptitude and subpar customer service. No one seemingly knows how to do even the most basic things like switch over an existing number to a new phone or process a return correctly. I have spent a total of approximately 24 hours either in the store (four times) or on the phone with so-called customer service five times. Still not fixed and still no cell or SMS capability. read more

If you can avoid using this service, do so! I know it's difficult considering somehow they have a monopoly. Butbit is next to impossible to leave them when you need to or find another service. Their help line is difficult to deal with and hard to get to a human for interaction. The branches and company do not communicate with each other and even after equipment is returned , they still harp you via text and phone to return their equipment. Ugh. read more

YIPEE!!! My computer crisis is now over, thank the Heavens and this store. Something went wrong with my email, with nothing going in or out. PANIC!!! I spent hours trying to figure it out, as I had done before when this happened, but no such luck this time. I was dreading that I would have to unplug everything and take it to Geek Squad repair for 4-5 days for them to fix it as in the past, sometimes with adverse results. But today, I got into this Xfinity-Comcast store and IT-genius Gio was able to fix it without my having to change my email address!! I was so afraid I would have to and then notify a million people and places. Gio was so nice to work with and also to provide suggestions for future such issues. Thanks! read more

They'll lure you in with low prices, but you'll regret going for it. I've been with them for 2 years and had nothing but problems. When I moved after the first year they got me to renew, sneakily, while I was trying to transfer service address. Anyway, I was using mobile & internet services, and something was always not working. The internet would go down before a meeting. The calls would drop around town. The modem had to constantly be reset. The service & help is going away, on the new app it's self serve to figure out your problems online. The Xfinity assistant is a joke. The tv streaming wasn't any better. The app or programs would constantly just freeze up and stop working. I had to go all the way out then back in if it was something I was interested in. Or channel up or down then back to the channel. Sometimes that didn't always work. I wish I would've just stayed with the carrier I had when I moved to Oregon. It would've been less hassle. They are fine. Attentive to who was in line first which is much appreciated. Really slow if you happen to go during a rush which today was a Wednesday at 1:30pm. Only ever two staff members. Took 75 minutes waiting to simply drop off a box that they accidentally mailed me and charged me for which was their error not mine. Decent service and friendly folks. Be warned that employees do not wear masks properly- covering only their chins and exposing their mouths and noses. Instead of the staff telling us they don't have a cell phone, they talked as if their stock would be in. I've found out the SE IPHONE has been out of stock since November 2021. They wasted our time and in the end we're asking us if we wanted the iPhone 12 or iPhone 13. That's $400 more. If they were more transparent we would be more understanding. The customer service at Xfinity is absolutely horrible. The Tech's to come out to your home are competent and do pretty good work. However, it is impossible to deal with the administrative staff. I have been dealing with a simple issue of adding service to our Tiny Home/ ADU. I have been dealing with staff on chats and they take me around in circles and then say they can't do this. I have dealt with staff on the phone and they tell me we can't do this because this is one house. I have told them repeatedly this is 2 houses with 2 different addresses with USPS and City of Portland. No matter what I do each day I start over with whomever is in the line to take calls. They all say they can help and then they don't. I tried to schedule a call with a Supervisor and file a complaint but they won't even schedule a time to call me. They are going to call me when it is convenient for them. If I miss the call...then i go back on the Merry Go Round!!! This reminds me why we like businesses that are local and you actually get talk to humans who live somewhere near you. These people do not care and they lack problem solving skills and the authority to use it. I am at my wits end with such a simple thing....I guess they don't want me to pay them more $$$ read more

Service is consistently dropped every single day between 2am to 4am random lag spikes making the Wi-Fi unusable. Called and confirmed canceling service was told I would be charged $50 which is over half of my monthly cost and the reason for being charged less than my full monthly cost was because I use the router for one and a half weeks out of the time that I was supposed to be paying for and then called and notified them that I needed to cancel service, and that I would not be starting it up again for a long time Was confirmed that my service is canceled. Just need to go drop off the router yet magically a week after I cancel my service they're charging me $40 more than what my monthly bill was for the same service that hasn't been on in weeks. And of course they tried to charge me as early as 6:30 am eastern. I'm in Oregon. Not to mention the sales team is only commission focused and doesn't give a damn about anything else. read more

What can I say about this terrible service that I received the whole entire time I was with their mobile company I paid a fortune for my phone only to only be able to use it on Wi-Fi when I was at my house every time I stepped away from my home I had absolutely no service even though I had a set monthly plan with minutes Internet time everything was unlimited but I could not use this phone the whole time unless it was on Wi-Fi now I've paid off the bill and disconnected service and I'm only trying to use it on Wi-Fi and it will not work it's slow down. Barely getting any Wi-Fi reception I believe Comcast Xfinity knows exactly what's going on as many people of spoken about the caps on the services!!! When I did have a phone call no one I spoke to could hear me honestly I couldn't think of a worse service to go through I would never go through them again even if they gave me a gold iPhone for free!!! I haven't had to deal with having to contact the company since I started using their services. For the past two months I've been getting emails about my data usage which I didn't know was a thing. I went in to try and switch to unlimited and was advised to call customer service because it would have been cheaper. Cool, thanks for the advice, dude who obviously doesn't want to be there. I asked if there was a number because when I go to the "contact us" section on the site, this bot chat thing pops up and it is kinda confusing. He replied, "1-800Xfinity. Super simple stuff." Am I just suppose to know this through osmosis? The site is so full of suggested add ons, I still can't find where this number would be listed. I understand people are frustrating and can ruin someone's day, but no need to brush off someone who is being polite to you... you're in customer service, friend. Fake that shit. read more
