I had a really bad experience at this location that I need to talk about. A month ago, I went to their store literally, just to get a Sim card, for a couple of phones, the employee there, told me about "new plans that were cheaper" to upgrade my business phones but they didn't tell me it would cost me a lot more because I was on an old plan. When I talked to customer service later, they literally told me that I would be paying thousands of dollars more, for this new plan and my old plan was grandfathered. So I did everything through customer service, just because they were telling me things, that the branch didn't tell me. "Go figure, if you return your phones via mail, you don't pay a restocking fee, something that they didn't share with me. Today, I went back to upgrade my phone, and the manager told me he couldn't help me at his store. Even though I always pay my bills on time and was just trying to fix a mistake they made, it feels like they don't want me in their stores anymore. I have a business plan and pay over $700 a month for all my devices. This is really bad customer service, and l've never seen anything like it. Imagine being banned from Verizon Wireless, all while giving them $700 a month. Definitely have to find a new carrier! read more

This 5 star review is dedicated to Lexi, who went above and beyond to assist me activating the eSIM on my replacement phone. I had to come into the store 3x in 3 days. The first day to submit a claim through my insurance. Jose took me back to one of the iPads and left me to figure out how to submit the claim and remove the "find my" feature from my broken phone. He went back up to the front of the store to visit with colleagues rather than walk me through the process. Got my new phone hand delivered by an Asurion agent that evening and he warned me that although I could transfer everything from my iCloud to new phone that I'd have to go into the store to get the eSIM activated. Thanks a lot, Verizon. Went in the next day and the girl who assisted me couldn't activate it, so she had to call tech support. The IMEI wasn't working right, so that's when I turned to another agent, Lexi. She multitasked and talked to multiple people in customer service and tier 2 tech agents to try and resolve the issue with my difficult IMEI # issue. No one was more helpful than her. After working a 12 hour day, being in the Verizon store for 2 full hours was the last thing I wanted to deal with. She was patient and helpful the whole time. It took 24 hours to reset the issue, so she called me the next day to try and troubleshoot the issue over the phone with me. Thanks for going above and beyond, Lexi! This store location has HORRIBLE customer service! I made an online purchase for in store pick up! i received my "your order is ready" email. I get to the store only to find out they gave my phone away in another order! The phone that was already paid for and shouldve been with the rest of my items. NOPE! Instead of them communicating with me letting me know what's happening, They canceled my order while I'd been waiting without ANY notification. THEN proceeds to tell me we have to go the thru then "ordering" process all over again AND re-charge me for the items I already paid for! There was NO ACCOMMODATIONS offered! I'll share my response: "It was heinous!!! Awful! Sucked! The worst. I spent --literally--hours with 3 of your offshore agents...tried everything possible to fix my iphone wifi glitch. Nothing worked. After really trying every possible fix, Nothing worked. First agent wrote remarks, saying to call back in 3 days and if still wasn't working they would send me a replacement iPhone 14. Told me to call back. I did. Another guy, Milo, then told me all the other hoops I still had to jump through. Another hour and documenting everything, he said, told me he would overnight me a new phone. And he took copious notes.It never came. He gave us "his" number. Called it. 3rd person says there are no remarks or notes foe either session and said I will not get a replacement phone. I waited an hour just to get a new SIM card, while 8+ customers in front of me opened entirely new accounts and added lines (Services that take a significant amount of time longer) and employees tirelessly called no-show appointments rather than assisting me. This is not a place that values your time, and don't even try to stop by on a lunch break--you will be late. If at all possible, just call customer service to handle your issues. read more

This is the 3rd Verizon store that I stopped in today. I also called the 1(800) number several times this past week and every time I call, I am not provided access to a customer service rep. I was finally sent to this location, as they were described as the only facility in my area that could assist me. Upon arriving 20 mins to 8. The store rep, Ernesto denied me service and refused to even engage my service related issue. The lack of customer service provided by this location and it's staff has been a mirrored experience to the desired services denied by the phone reps. If there were another provider open after chasing down Verizon all day; I would certainly jump ship and join another provider. First visit was due to severely deteriorated Verizon cell service After 15 phone calls and 100% service failures over the last two months I was directed by on line customer service to go to the store. I explained my medical provider service phone needs with failed urgent and critical phone calls which were never received. End result the manager on that day said "I can not help you. You live in a dead zone (92131) you need to change providers". After two months of on line service failures and three service tickets Verizon has not showen up to remedy the failing reception, disconnected dropped calls, or fulfill any promised service tickets or solutions? Second visit today (at the direction of Verizon phone customer service representative, Lauren (manager) did not try to address my issue. When I patiently calmly rationally assertively pushed for solution I was told "LEAVE THE STORE NOW" repetitively three times. The defensive dismissive arrogant directive attitude was shocking. We literally switched over to Verizon TODAY and once we got home both our old phones and our new Verizon phone didn't work. We tried going into this store for help and they basically said they couldn't help unless we had an appointment and I asked to make an appointment and they said they didn't have any in January available. Phone carriers are intimidating! Who's the best? Who has the best service? Who's gonna get me the best deal?? Those were the questions running through my head coming into this place. I was especially nervous switching from one carrier to another! I have to give all the credit to Terry for making this the calmest, easiest and painless transition I've ever experienced! He answered all of my questions, from benefits, things to watch out for and what plan would be the most appropriate. He informed me of all the reasons why Verizon would be a better decision for me and he was right! Shout out to Terry for being so patient and understanding during this process. One of the worst customers experiences I've had. I rarely write yelp reviews, but I just had to switch to Verizon from spectrum who I've had amazing customer service with, but unfortunately they're not in my zone anymore. I went into the Verizon store to help set up my new account and all the workers just directed me to go online and call customer support which I thought was weird because I went into the store so I didn't have to deal with calling customer support. In the store they gave me very wrong information and told me my plan was going to be $50 every month but failed to mention that that's only if I add a phone plan so I've been paying $80 for the past two months with no warning. My Internet didn't even work despite being zoned for it and I asked if they could have someone come in and take a look at it and they said they won't send anyone. I literally have no choice but to cancel because my Wi-Fi doesn't work and no one on their customer service team is willing to help me. I just wasted my time and money so I'm writing this so you can hopefully save yours. read more

Came in to discuss a billing issue today 10/19. The customer rep failed to let me explain my situation several times on the front end by trying to finish my sentences thinking he knew what I was gonna say next. Then after a break down with my bill they tried to say a credit was applied to both lines ... when it was not. Then to top it off I was told "at least you're getting a credit so what's wrong." All in all I ended up saving the argument and just reached out to customer service over the phone where they confirmed I hadn't been receiving the discount and corrected the issue with a credit. It's clear that nobody in the Mission Valley location knows what they are doing and that they couldn't care less about the customers. What should have been an easy replacement of a damaged phone tied to a business account turned into a two-hour debacle involving multiple trips back to the store, phone calls with customer service, and ultimately a very rude brush off where they informed me that they did not have the ability to help me. I went to the Point Loma Verizon location and the associate there solved my problem within five minutes -- she was even able to inform me that my damaged phone was insured upon looking up my number, which is a skill that seemed to have escaped everyone at the Mission Valley location. I've been here a handful of times throughout the years. You can count on poor customer service, tricky sales people. And just plain rude behavior from the staff. When I was getting a new phone this guy messed up while transferring the contacts and deleted my contacts. No apology given. The staff stand looking out the window into the parking lot and judge people by the car they drive. If they think you have money they scramble to help you. If they think you don't have money, they just stand by the door and ignore people and don't even greet them, just standing and staring judgmentally. It was my turn and they ignored me and helped someone who came after me. I had been waiting. They did not apologize at all. read more

I have an old iPhone and have tried 5 times to upgrade, first they had my wrong address , second time I ordered online and they cancelled because I didn't pick it up with a few hours, every time we go to this location this a 20 to 1hr wait. We then went to best buy and we couldn't upgrade due to a block Verizon has on our account for some reason, we went back to the Verizon store and it's an hour wait. At this point I'm going to just explore another carrier, Verizon has just wasted too much of my time and not helpful. Very disappointing. read more

This place is absolute garbage. The people that work here are on the slow side of stupid. I am guessing they have to have private feeders here to feed these people because there is no way they actually feed themselves. I have had numerous bad experiences here, yet because the place is close to where I live I kept going back, yes past tense. My most recent experience began with me looking for a phone. I am in charge of managing the companies I work for phone bills and since my iPhone 5 is running like crap from all the stupid unnecessary software updates, I decided to bite the bullet and get a new phone. The pricing on the phones is outrageous $600+. As such I began asking the dullard helper girl questions. Each question got me a response to a question I did not ask. She was fixated on up-selling me, which I didn't mind, but when I would ask here a specific question about the adding a line and what the pricing would be, instead of saying "I don't know" she would just babble about things that made no sense. I became frustrated and said, "you just answered a question I didn't ask" and she then looked at me and said she would no longer help me. I agreed, as her inability to do her job was beginning to frustrate me. After 5 minutes the "manager" came out, I told him about my frustrations and how this wasn't the first time I had negative experiences at this location resulting from a staff that was hard to talk to. He apologized and tried to help me. While I was waiting for him, I noticed the iPhone SE, I have been told that the SE is a iphone6 in a iphone5 case. As such, I was interested, so when the manager arrived I asked him how much it would cost. He stated $200. I said, "great, I will take it". He went in the back to get one, a few minutes later he came out, we stood next to him at his computer for another 5 minutes before he told us that the SE is no longer being offered at $200 and that it would be $350. At that point, I had had it. I said "okay, thanks" and left. At no point did he try to retain our business, at no point did he try to help us beyond trying to gouge us for an outdated phone. For this reason, after several years, I will be leaving Verizon. This store location caused me to change services not only for my personal lines for for the company I work for. Go anywhere but here. There are no other businesses in the same strip mall to kill time so we walked to about 4-5 blocks (less than 10mins each way) with the intention of getting Starbucks and immediately bringing it back.
