This is another business I'm surprised no one has reviewed yet. Today I took my Blackberry in because the internet wasn't working. I thought it was just operator error since it sends and receives emails and makes calls. What else should I expect it to do? Turned out it wasn't operator error, but a bad device. Dominique was courteous helpful and quick. Best of all there wasn't a wait at the service desk. He took the phone in the back for a few minutes and came back to let me know it wasn't my fault after all and that I needed a warranty replacement. I was in and out in just a few minutes with the information I needed to get yet another new Blackberry under warranty...my third one. Hopefully the third time is the charm. read more

I I came to Verizon with a very complex problem concerning my I phone 6 . I was ready to toss my phone in the garbage when I went to Verizon with my problems. Previous to this, I had spent 4 hours at the Apple Store and received no helpful information. This store is the worst. After reading articles on-line that September 19th was the first day to pre-order the Samsung Galaxy Note 4, I took my lunch break and drove over to the Verizon store. When I arrived, I was told that I had to wait outside, in a line, in the middle of the summer in Arizona, because there was a special Apple event inside, and only one customer per employee was allowed in. Once I finally was allowed inside the store, I was welcomed by an almost entirely empty store, with about 4 or 5 people huddled into the back right-hand corner of the store, and the other 99% of the store vacant of people. I explained that I didn't care about Apple and was a n Android customer, and that we should have been allowed to at least form a line inside the store, rather than being made to stand outside in the 100 degree heat. She then lied to me and told me it was security laws. I pointed out that there was no 'law' and that it was their own protocols put in place by them, which resulted in abhorrent customer service for their Android users. She seemed frustrated and had nothing to say in response. I then called Verizon CS to complain and was told that this policy was put in place by the store manager and not by the company and that she also thought it was a bad decision to make people wait outside of an almost empty store in the middle of the summer to do business on Android devices because of a small gathering at the Apple desk Avoid this store at all costs and go to any competitor to buy your phone if you want to receive even the most basic level of customer service. read more

This is my 3rd purchase at this location. It started with a Kindle with Verizon sim card. It kept dying and they did their very best at least 3 attempts to fix the issue. Twice left the store only to turn around and go back. Ended up with new Asus and most pleased. Again returned to upgrade, yes a flip, to smart phone. As usual most helpful. Again returned a year later now for another smart phone for a house member. Would always return there for the most helpful and friendly service advisors. This time it was CJ who helped me. Came back later and spent a bit of time setting it up and transferring data. 5 star + service from this Verizon location. Highly recommend. Yes that was THREE purchases. read more

I always seem to dread coming to any verizon because it seems to take forever to get service and more money than I care to spend. I was very pleased when I stepped in and was welcomed right away. I just wanted to upgrade my phone and have all my data transferred. I was able to leave the phone for them to do and I came back a few hours later and just picked it up. No problems what so ever. Waiting for almost an hour tonight with music blasting at rock concert decibels to ensure, "customer privacy." It is too bad that customers cannot hear the customer service reps due to the loud music. Not to mention that it is almost impossible to concentrate on reading, or anything else you want to do, to pass the time due to the loud, unnecessary, music. If privacy is their main concern, then I can suggest about 20 different ways to address that without blaring loud music throughout the store. read more

Let me start by saying that Verizon has great coverage in this area; no dropped calls. BUT, and that is a BIG BUT, this franchise and the customer service people in general at Verizon are terrible. Not only that they do not tell the truth and for a business, that is despicable! But, they will extract as much cash out of you they can. I have many examples, but most recently we were told I could qualify to upgrade to a smart phone on a certain date and when we went back to the store, they said no as if they had complete amnesia. This has happened 3 times in the last year. I had a battery go bad on my flip phone before that and they made me renew two years for that. Finally, we have had enough and though we have a family plan, I am going to venture out into the AT&T world for 6 months and, if it works well enough, bye-bye Verizon. Whenever I have have an issue with Verizon and have to think about going to this store to straighten out phone issues, anxiety strikes! The absolute worst customer service I've ever encountered and always have to return numerous times to fix the same problem. It's very sad that Verizon hasn't taken a second look at this store's poor performance and customer service record and step things up. Who is the CEO of this company and why don't they care? HORRIBLE service. I never check my bill, I just pay it online every month and I randomly checked it one day and noticed that they have been over charging me. Not by just a couple of dollars but by $46 a month. I'm sorry, WHAT?! So I went into the store and the so called "manager" was BEYOND rude and kept arguing with me. I think her name was Vienna. My boyfriend who was also with me was trying to explain to her what happened and she told him to "stop talking". Also, whenever I would start talking she would just start talking right over me. She then tried to demand that i give her my phone because I "didn't even pay for it". WHAT?! Is this real life? She was completely unprofessional and is clearly not fit to run a store. She was not understanding of my situation whatsoever and did not offer any help or ways to try to fix the issue. I was also told a few things when I got the phone a year ago and when I asked her about them she said "no that's not the case". It's not MY fault that none of your employees know what they are talking about. BY FAR THE WORST EXPERIENCE EVER. She told me that if she wanted to she could refund me the money but she wasn't going to. I ended up calling and speaking with a district manager who cleared everything up and actually understood my situation and did everything he could, which was WAY more than she did. A den of used car salesmen and liars! Do NOT ever shop here. I received two emails directly from Verizon informing me of a great deal that my specific account was now eligible for as an upgrade, along with a trade-in. We went to this store because it's corporate and the salesman assigned to us was not only a douche, he flat out lied to us. Actually told me that the promo was not available and that the email and the mailer I received were false. "So Verizon sends me bullshit promos?" "Yes - you don't understand how this works." "Ok, so it works like this - you send me a promo to get me to come to the store just so you can sell me something full price with no discount?" ... he shrugged and wagged his head with a yes. WTF. I was so mad at wasting my time waiting there that I didn't even care to get the manager and call this guy out on his sales scam technique. Yeah ok, you offer me $400 off, but I'll just ignore that and give you $700 for a phone anyways.. because I am as dumb as you think I am, or hope I am. Since when did selling cell phones literally become a used-car racket? The balls of this guy to stand there in the store run by the corporation and flat out lie to the customers. Well I went home and called the 800# on the email, and connected with sales and the guy on the phone IMMEDIATELY hooked me up with a brand new phone...$400 off... as the promo promised! wow they kept their word. I told him about the experience at the store and he said that's not uncommon at that location - they make more sales off the phone than at the actual location because they hire scumbag salesmen who refuse to honor Verizon's corporate offers so they can make a bigger commission. I will NEVER go this or any Verizon store again. Doing this over the phone with corporate directly, was supremely more convenient, efficient, and affordable. I have been having issues with my phone and took it in to this Verizon store today in hopes that I could get those issues resolved. Both of the guys that I talked to were incredibly rude and unhelpful. They basically told me that because I bought the phone at Costco they couldn't help me, even though we bought it at the Verizon kiosk at Costco. I will be canceling my Verizon account after more than 10 years with them after this experience. When I told at the manager I would be canceling my account, he said there was nothing he could do to keep me as a customer. Very disappointing. read more

Based on these reviews and my experience, I recommend sticking to the website (which is disgraceful), and don't believe the reps and especially managers. But also be aware that the website/ecommerce team will also change their promotions after the fact. The reps will swear your promotion never existed, because from their view, it never did. Let's call it "digital bait and switch in real time" pioneered by a group of losers with a great network. I received a promotion from Verizon, the website was confusing so I called sales. They helped me order my phone at the deal that was promoted. Problem is, it turns out the rep ordered the wrong phone. I caught that on the confirmation, we cancelled the order, a new rep opened a new order to execute immediately upon return of the wrong order. The rep read the order back to me, gave me a confirmation number and we were done. When the original order was returned, I checked on the new order. The Verizon manager said, "what order?". Get this, they told me that there was no order, and that the deal that I had (even though, my account shows confirmed orders), never existed? In fact, the manager even checked past promotions and said it never existed. I asked, "so two reps 3 days apart gave me this promotion, and your now telling me it never existed?". I found the promo email, and clicked on it. Guess what, the promotion had totally changed. The original offer had turned into a different offer. No wonder the reps couldn't find it, someone (?) had discontinued the offer. Which is no problem, as long as the company would at least honor their original commitment. But no, there was no responsibility taken for sending the wrong phone, and no responsibility taken for making a 15 year customer spend 2.5 hours on phone calls, just to be told the promotion I'd responded to never existed. The kids who handle the phone and stores are nice people trying to do a good job. It's management of Verizon Wireless who has no honor. The other carriers ATT, Tmobile, Sprint, etc...want your business, verzion tolerates your business, why not give the other carriers a chance, read more

Got new IPhones here, me and my husband, changed plans , zero balance with Verizon. 6 months later got a collection bill (no bill from Verizon) for a mistake that an employee made at that time. Mean while they don't send you a bill they send you straight to collection ! Enough said , enough reason to move with T Mobile ! Anyway I don not need the "better" signal from Verizon, try cutting back an phone, trying to enjoy life more, so a poor signal is better for that reason ! After an absolutely horrible experience back on 9/30/2014, we returned today to give it "another try"! WOW - what a "night and day" experience! We walked in and were greeted immediately. Not even 5 minutes later, we were introduced to "Lance". What a sales professional and so knowledgeable. I walked out with my iPhone 6 Plus which I have wanted for months! Lance was patient with my questions and helped me with the transfer of my data. He helped my husband with a warranty replacement of his phone (when husband was there last month, the sales associate said it couldn't be done)! After waiting 30min for a Samsung warranty exchange for a charging cable I was given an aftermarket cable that was too short and did not work with my phone having a case on it. I took the cable back in and asked for a factory(Samsung) replacement cable and was told that they do not carry a Samsung replacement and I will have to contact Samsung to get one. Let me start this by saying I tried everything to not come here, I read the reviews and this was the last place I wanted to come for my new phone and to change my plan, but it is also the closest to my house. So, my girlfriend suggested we give it a go and we could always just leave if it was truly as bad as the reviews. We went on a Saturday morning, the first Saturday morning after the release of the new iPhone. To say the place was busy would be a gross understatement, but we were greeted at the door and told it would be about a half hour wait. We were cool with that and spent some time checking out the different phones on our own. About a half an hour later a rep met with us and was great. Even though it was very busy she took the time to explain the plans to us and walk us through everything. She was upfront about how long it would take to get our new phones, although my girlfriend received hers 2 weeks before we were told it would be here! I got a new iPhone 6 plus in November and turned in my old one a droid to the store and they said no problem they would take care of it from their and it had been credited to my account. In January I get an equipment charge of $267 saying I had not turned In my device. I went to store twice asking them where my phone was getting the run around until the second time I came in. It took two hours of waiting but they found out my device was turned in November the 21st and went back to verizon warehouse in Texas November the 25th but was never checked back in. They keep telling me it's take care of but it's almost end of feburary, and it still is saying it is going to credit but has not done so yet. I stated to them I am a single mom and can't afford to pay for a device I turned in in November. If it wasn't such good coverage I would drop them!!! read more

I bought a new apple I Phone 6s and I signed up for a 2 year contract with Verizon at this 16447 Scottsdale road location. I went here thinking I would get great customer service. I did as long as I was spending money. I had a problem with the new I phone. That's when their customer service went down hill big time. Three times I went back to Verizon asking for help. Each time they did something different to my brand new apple I phone, telling me it's fixed, but it was not. Finally, after 3 repeat times, I asked for a new phone, as this one was less that 90 days old. They offered me a reconditioned phone. Really? They honestly thought that was a fair thing to do. They offer me a rebuilt Apple I phone 6s, when I bought a brand new $649.99 Apple I phone 6s. I said "no thank you, I want a brand new phone." I went down the street to the Apple store, where I should have gone in the first place. They checked out my Apple I phone and said, "why don't we just give you a new Apple I phone 6s, at zero cost?" They took care of everything with a smile. How great is that? So, the next time I want to up date my Apple I phone, I will go to the Apple store. Since I've switched, I've been completely in the dark. I was told customer service was more personal and the savings are more. The exact opposite has occurred on both accounts. No return calls.
