Went to the Verizon store at the Promonade today. Needed to update my iPhone 7 to an iPhone 10 that my daughter had given me. Christian was the store team member who helped us! He was amazing and so patient with me and my husband. I further needed help deleting emails and syncing my phone to my iPad. He put my new screen protector on and helped me select a charging station as well as new phone case. Excellent customer service!!! I would have had no idea how to transfer all my apps and data and am so appreciative of the time Christian took with us. He is a GREAT representative for your company. read more

Sold me a phone that they said was talk/text only. It was not. It had internet capability. Tried to trade it for talk/text (the next day) but they said they had none, they don't carry them! I explained that a non-internet phone was mandatory. Then they wanted a 50 buck restock fee. A 50 buck restock fee on an 80 buck new phone. And of course they STILL charged me for line set-up blah blah blah AND some sort of 'insurance' plan that I did not request...but their sales people get commissions on so the add it to your bill without your permission! This Verizon store (and the lousy Verizon service) really suck. The tech support department told me go here to get a new SIM card to solve the issue of zero coverage in my home. No calls no texts. So I was told a 40 minute wait by the impassive zero personality zero interest a hole who checks you in and 1 hour into it I'm still here wasting a valuable vacation day. I'm a very long time loyal VZ customer, always paid more for their services, than what I could paid elsewhere for the same or service or even more, but I stayed loyal. VZ has changed. Bait and switch, deceptive advertisements, order a device, then they don't ship it and cancel the order, spend hours and hours on the phone only to get India (nothing wrong with India but you know how a lot of these calls go), request to talk to supervisors, transferred to wrong extensions and get disconnected. 4 hours on the phone today to try to just our right but and iphone 13, and we can't even get this done. Going get the free one at AT&T at this point, and going to say goodbye to a 20 year relationship with VZ, as they have become their competition, so I might as well go their competition and pay less for the same crappy service. 4+ hours on the phone today, 2+ hours last week. read more

Never thought get I'd ever yelp a cell phone store with 5 stars. Went in with a iPhone X with battery issues. Alex was a delight. Not once did I feel that he wanted to do anything but help me gettin my way and fix my issues - even patiently waiting when I forgot my password and helped me recover it. I haven't gotten the replacement but I was super impressed with his happy demeanor and can do attitude. Overall I've been happy with Verizon- this only improves my opinion. After getting "bounced" out of the Tempe Town location because a very large woman and her girlfriend tried to intimidate me, I drove north to this location. CHRISTIAN was AMAZING!!! I told him the story of getting bounced and he was surprised, for sure! We actually had a good laugh. CHRISTIAN helped me resolve my issues, gave me an extra 7 days to exchange my phone if the problem doesn't resolve...and was SO polite and helpful! CHRISTIAN was SO awesome that I will NEVER go back to Tempe Town....Matthew at Tempe needs a security guard costume...not a manager badge! Best part? After getting everything finished, I went to dinner with my husband and some of his coworkers...we LAUGHED OUR A**ES OFF that I got bounced!!! Seriously...it was worth the dinner story! I phoned Verizon to see if i could change something on my phone account to cut down my bill. So the lady said we will move to you Pre-Pad service and it will save you a lot of money. But she did not tell me that my phone is not set up for pre-paid, but they switched it anyway. That was 2 months ago and i have called and been to 4 different Verizon stores and no seems to know what i am talking about. But ever since i was changed it has messed up my phone. My contacts do not see who is calling now. I don't receive text from Fry's when my prescription is ready anymore because it has some kind of restriction on it now. This is just ridicules i have been with Verizon for 20+ years and i can't get any help to figure this out. WOW and they rate their business as number one in cell phone service. I think it is time for me to look for a better carrier and one that will help you when you have a problem. read more

I had to take my phone in today because it was not working properly, and I was hoping it was not going to take all day because of the large amount of people looking at phone and it being Saturday but I was greeted at the door and only waited 5 minutes , so very happy! My phone only needed the data turned on lol that's why it wasn't working, so by now I'm feeling pretty dumber than dumb but that's ok because sales representative explained it to me on what to do , new phones are fun and once I learned it i will be better at it .Great customer service! read more

Extremely poor customer service. No empathy whatsoever. Child working as a greeter was chewing on his gum/had a flippant attitude about them not having the item I needed in stock. Said, "the computer always says we have one because of our demo model." That's a load of ----. If that were so, then all the stores would show one remaining in stock - which they don't. That's what I get for trying to shop in this area (North Scottsdale) No "think yes" attitude at all - just about "their numbers" For all I know, they did still have one if what I was looking for...and didn't want to sell it to me. Update: This has been a horrible experience. This location scams people, they are unethical and do not do as they say. Lucky, I got things in writing and I'm still fighting to get our new Acct fixed. Do not go here. Very frustrated with this location. We are from California and came in to upgrade a device which we did. We also added 4 additional lines and were promised 18 gigs of data to share but we got home only to find out that they did not register us for the 22% discount or the 18 gigs. The have us 12 gigs and charged us more. They have not been very helpful and I'm the one who keeps calling and following up. We are ready to return everything as we did not get what we were sold and even though we are trying to work things out they keep coming up with excuses. Very unhappy customers here. I switched over to Verizon after struggling to get access to my voice mail with AT&T for over a week. I was helped by Jordan Smock - who was fantastic! Bottom line is that I purchased a new Samsung Galaxy Note 10+ 5G which is BEYOND awesome! Kept my old number. Got every single piece of data switched over from my Samsung S8 Active and left my frustrations with AT&T in my rear view mirror. Jordan set up the switch without me having to even speak to AT&T. Great on-line access to Verizon account and $10 a month off for setting up autopay, will be paying off the phone in 2 weeks and oh yeah - I've got voicemail! The manager of this place has no concept of customer service. Spent an hour with sales guy going through all the BS I have been through and he was confident everything needed was done for upgrade. I told him numerous times to be sure. I have a business account with 10 lines. Confirmed $800 trade in credit. Has me pay off current phone. I said are you sure you have everything right. He said he's. Takes my Amex pays it off. Then gets to new phone and goes "I made a mistake" I can only do $400. I said that wasn't what we discussed. Got manager. Eric (says he is the manager) says Verizon no longer transfers dat from our old ipone 5 to the newer ipone 7plis that we bought. He says it's due to covid and limiting time spent with public etc due to health issues covid. I told Eric I specifically called Verizon about 1-1/2 weeks ago to see if this particular store can help us. I spoke to an employee and he said yes they can. Yet while standing at the outside of the store Eric said no. He gave us a paper clip and instructuons how to do it. Instructions say to use the cloud but we don't use the cloud for storing our info we did not want to put our info in cloud to begin with. This is pitiful Verizon!!!! This past weekend while kayaking at Antelope Canyon, my phone decided to take a little swim in the water. I thought for sure it was completely dead and was resigned to having to buy a new phone, but it has slowly been coming back to life. I came into Verizon to get some advice on the best way for me to get a diagnostic check and potentially clean out some of the water damage. As I walked in, I was greeted by Jason who immediately was at the ready as I started shooting off questions incessantly. He was incredibly helpful, walking me through all of my options. We looked up my plan and he saw that a member of my family was eligible for an upgrade and he explained that I could use that as a solution. Otherwise I could pay off the rest of my phone and just get on another payment plan. He clearly knew I wasn't trying to break the bank so he recommended another cell phone repair store right across the street. The high touch service from Jason and the fact that he came up with multiple solutions for me within 10 min left me extremely impressed. Thanks for the help! read more

I've always received great service here. I plan my visit wisely and always do my homework on what I need before coming in. It's important to check your bill before switching to any service and I prefer looking at the new agreement before moving forward on anything. Everyone is pleasant and I don't go in unless necessary. I usually get the best deals after contract is over and if I know what phone I want next. I have them breakdown the pricing and look at the final bill before committing. It's great to not be blindsided since their plans are complicated and it always changes. read more

Wait times for technical assistance are completely reasonable. Staffing is more than adequate. Service is quick and friendly, completed quickly by friendly and knowledgeable associates. I've worked for some of the top companies with retail marks, Apple, Porsche, etc. The arrogance, negativity and dismissive behavior is not just deplorable, its unacceptable. I would understand if this was behavior provided and witness by entry-level employees, however this was the general manager of the store. I recently purchased some accessories at this store and the person that had helped me told me that if anything goes wrong, you can bring it back and they (Verizon) will take care of it within the year. A couple of days ago, I had an issue and went into the store and the so called "Manager" told me that it was not covered and was arguing with me. Bad customer service right there...don't argue with a customer. Also, if one of your staff members promises something to a customer...you should really honor that. Poor service. Went to store for information and met by manager Miguel who stated we needed to place order on line and return with appointment. We did so and was told phones ready for pickup and store would program them for us on arrival with no appointment necessary. Wrong, on arrival told we needed appointment. On arrival at appointment time a week later. Told we waited too long and would need to reorder phones and they would no longer honor price given when order placed. When we left 20 minutes later we noticed the sales person disabled our phones from Icloud. When we returned manager Miguel stated we needed to make a new appointment to undo what the sales person did to our phones. This manager was rude and condescending when speaking to senior couple who have been customers for over 20 years. This manager was very rude and short on each contact and should never talk to customers in such a way. We are switching to AT&T wireless where we were met and treated as valued customers. visited the store purchased gifts and was sold products that they just added to my bill. When attempting to return they advised only a 14 day policy. Unacceptable....I advise everyone to avoid this location as they will not honor or provide any real resolution for product sold. This is the absolute worst service I have EVER received at any Verizon store and I've been with verizon for over 13 years. Jonathan was our salesperson. The worst I've ever had. Explained absolutely nothing to us, any information we got about pricing or phones we had to work to get out of him. Not to mention he's never once brushed his teeth and it was disgusting and unprofessional. But that's besides the point. Jonathan deliberately lied to us about the trade in value for our phone and sent us home with a new phone saying just bring back the old one after you transfer your stuff to your new phone. We asked about pricing and trade in value 3 different times and forced him to go over the details with us which by the way he seemed to be so annoyed that we had any questions at all. And then he told us he can't look at the original price of the phone because he's "already on the pay screen." It was incredibly rude. We were only in there for about 20 minutes total. The whole thing seemed off. So we made sure to come back the same day with the old phone for trade in thinking he seemed like a scam artist and had lied about the trade in value. Sure enough! He did! Jonathan told us the trade in value would be $800 when it was actually only $67!!! We had to return the phone and transfer everything back over and re-set everything up. He was there when we returned and would not make eye contact or say hi. The second he was done with the client that he was with when we walked in, he went straight to the back to hide and didn't come out until we were gone. What a waste of time. Verizon's customer service is incompetent. I would go negative rating if possible. We have spent 2 days on chats and the phone trying to merge my fiancé account and remove a daughter that got her own Verizon account. They WEREN'T losing any customers, but put us on hold, HUNG UP ON US, were unwilling to give us a supervisor and wanted to charge us $240 in cancellation fees when no one got a new phone or left their company. We still don't have anything resolved because they didn't have anyone working that could do anything other than read a prompter. read more

I'm writing this review to specifically shout out Z! I'm usually very hesitant about going to Verizon stores due to sales tactics, but I was due for an upgrade. After waiting a bit, Z came over to help me. Not only did she not try to upsell me on a phone I didn't need, but she took the time to address all of my questions. I left with exactly the phone I needed and the only additional item I got was by my own choice. Z is an example of what a salesperson should be.
