Terrible Customer Service. I was totally missed lead and they cost me $50 bucks. Because of the actions and treatment I received at this store I cancel my Verizon account after 10+ with Verizon. Words and actions matter and they have consequences. Verizon needs to look into the matter because it's a shame a couple individuals at this store is representing a global company. Fortunately I will make up the $50 this Verizon store has cost me by switching to T-Mobile, paying of the balance of the phone loan and less expensive unlimited service. read more

Upgrading our phones in this store was the biggest scam and mistake. Stephanie was the sales person who sold us the iphone 11 pro and iphone 11 pro max. She went to the back of the store and grabbed the phones. On the way she grabbed 2 screen protector shields. Without talking to us she placed them on our phones. Picked up a clear case for the iphone max and placed on the phone. My husband asked about the case and how come the other phone does not get a case, her response was because this offer is for the iphone max. She told us she is charging us for the tax and upgrade fee and a fee for breaking the old lease. After we received the bill a month later, we were again charged for upgrade fee. Long story short we went back to the store asked for our invoice, she sold us the bundle package B.S and the case. 79.99 for the bundle which included a protector shield for screen and if a screen breaks in the future and the case. And 35.97 for the case. Sammy was no help and he kept saying that he will talk to Stephanie and get back to us. He NEVER did. Finally called customer service and did a partial refund. This store is a scam. And watch out for what you pay for. You are forced to sign the electronic signing pads without seeing the invoice. What a refreshing experience it was dealing with the amazing staff members at the Verizon store in the Thousand Oaks mall. They made it super simple to order our new iPhone 12's and contacted us once they arrived in store. We arrived at the store and was greeted by team members right away. We dealt with Lee, who is part of the management team. This guy sure knows technology. He got all the apps and details transferred from our old phones to the new ones in no time. Everything was up and running and we were on our way. Thank you Lee and team at the Thousand Oaks store. Verizon not only has the best network and now 5G, they have a top notch team to go out of their way to serve you. read more

This review is about the poor management at this location, the employees not being honest regarding charges, and the manager's lack of customer service skills to rectify those issues. Interesting that as I came to post my review I saw a generic (i.e. Fake) review about a guy named Billy (the name I was given of the manager), posted by someone named Billy. Ha. I recently had an issue with my iPhone SE screen not working and so I went to Verizon in the The Oaks mall to see what my options were. (I used the upgrade that I had available to get an iPhone 7, after being told there would be no changes to my monthly plan. Upon further investigation, I found out that wasn't true- and so I returned my iPhone 7 because I was still in my two week timeframe to make a return. This process was annoying but I knew "that's what he told me" doesn't mean anything in situations like this. I was told in the store (and knew from researching prior to making the return) that there was a $35 restocking fee. No problem. Not ideal, but at least I was getting a little over $100 back.) The bigger issue for me was at the time of return, when my sales clerk (tall Caucasian guy) who I was told is named Nick offered to transfer the screen protector to my older iPhone SE after I returned my new iPhone 7 because he said that it was included with my previous plan anyways. Cool, why wouldn't I then if it was part of my previous SE plan? I thought it was interesting that I didn't get a receipt for this transaction but to be honest didn't expect that they were still trying to scam me at this point and didn't push it. Nick did not ask if I wanted a receipt and instead he said "your original receipt is in the bag" as I left and now I know why- he purposely did not give me the receipt of the refund because he did not want me to see that I was actually still being charged the $82 fee for the screen protector (unlimited replacements, which is why it is that price.) After checking my account for 4 days, saw that only $20 was refunded into my account. I was shocked. I called and asked to speak to the store manager, who didn't say his name when he answered the phone. I was told by the associate Job that his name was Billy (tattoos, also Caucasian.) His attitude on the phone was basically "we got you!", and he told me that if I wanted to go back and return the screen protector I would get the rest of the $80+. I told him I was on my way. I showed up, and was helped out by Job. When the manager walked by I asked if there was anything he as a manager could do to get the refund in cash after all the hassle. He gave a little cocky laugh and said no. I didn't get so much as an apology, an attempt to check in on the situation, or even a greeting for that matter from the store manager. (He was aware of what was going on because it didn't take me even 15 minutes to get to the store, and inside the store it was only same three employees I've seen all three times I've had to go in.) Job provided me with a receipt for my transaction for the return of the screen protector, and Job mentioned that it was protocol to give a receipt and I should have gotten one last time. Not shocking that the manager fosters this environment where employees can "pull a fast one" on their customers and get away with it. Zero customer service skills. Since this is how he runs this store, refusing to even acknowledge when there is a customer service issue, then I would HIGHLY recommend checking out a different Verizon store. read more

Just picked up two iPhone 13s today as well as an Apple Watch. Mario was WONDERFUL! He was informative, transparent, funny, friendly, and ever so helpful. I went early expecting to wait at least an hour before being helped. Surprisingly, I only had to wait 15 min before Mario assisted us. He maximized all the discounts available. Nope.... I should have realized the only way to buy an iPhone was to go straight to the Apple Store. They didn't have the iPhone when we bought the contract and promised to have it in a week. It took more than two weeks and we had to keep checking back to find out where it was. Bought our iPhone and contract through GoWireless and bought a 2 year warranty. I misplaced the contract. The phone broke and when I went to Apple to replace it, they said there was no warranty in place. Finally found the the contract today. Sure enough....there is a two year extended warranty. In the end, we paid a massive amount of money to replace the broken iPhone. Can you say RIPOFF? read more

Tried to buy a new iPhone to replace the one I had lost and these idiots got me sent to the fraud department and after 3 hours of being jerked around, I walked to Apple, bought a phone, brought it back to Verizon and they managed to make a bigger mess of the simplest task so back to Apple and they handled everything with awesome service. I normally hate Verizon... a lot. But, when my parents wanted to switch I brought them in and not only were they well taken care of, but one of the guys sat down with my not-so-tech-savvy mother and helped her learn and set up her phone for 30 minutes. I guarantee if I walked into the Apple store they'd have made her wait or sign up... and AT&T would've blown her off. That and they actually TAUGHT her. I mean, come on! I needed to upgrade my phone and transfer my old phone to my husband. His was fritzing out and he needed if for work. Called and was told needed to order it, but it would probably come in the next day (Friday) or Saturday for sure. They were open until 7pm so that would work out great to get things transferred over before Monday's work. Short story, by Monday after 3pm was still trying to track this phone that had been shipped from Fresno. Still no phone, but after three calls over the next hour and 1/2 the store still didn't know when the phone would get there. I told her to cancel the order and I would go to Best Buy and get one that day. What she didn't tell me was that my Verizon account would not allow another phone to be purchased somewhere else and put onto my account with my existing phone # UNTIL the phone that had been ordered was returned. I was at Best Buy for over two hours trying to get a new phone set up. Finally opened a new account with AT&T and then transferred my old phone # to it, closing out the Verizon account. My husband then had to take time at lunch today to get his phone set up so he could keep his job. As of 3pm Tuesday, the phone still has not been delivered to Go Wireless. It is still staying it is in transit from Vernon, as of last Thursday afternoon. I was really trying to use local, small store venues to help out the economy with a $1,000 plus sale, but after this farce and runaround I will re-think that one. Also, if the product cannot be delivered as promised then DO NOT make that promise. I was told one day, but Saturday at the latest. She didn't know what she was talking about because UPS did not deliver on Saturday!! I would never had gone to them if they had been up front about it taking four days or more. I have been a customer for approx 20 years and can't wait to get out of my contract They will over bill you and steal from you- they agreed to purchase my sons iPhone if he upgraded to an iPhone 7. The agreed to pay $650 for the phone by crediting our family account every month for 24 months. My son received and an upgrade message from Verizon for the new iPhone 10 this past Christmas. He accepted the upgrade and purchased the new phone. He was told our bill would go up $7 a month yet when we received the new bill it was $35 more and they stopped paying us for the phone we sold them. I went to the Verizon store today to find out what was wrong with my phone, the service advisor was Ashley. I had observed her being condescending and rude to the customer in front of me so I tried to avoid her helping me. As I was talking to another advisor she jumped in and took over the conversation. As I was trying to figure out how to solve my problem she basically was rude and condescending to me also. I am not sure she needs to be the face of Verizon in Thousand Oaks. DONT' DO IT. GO HERE AT YOUR OWN RISK! THESE GUYS ARE SUPER SHADY. I went with my wife to upgrade her iPhone and ended up getting charged for $140 of extra items that the store manager claimed was "included" in the deal he was giving us. After further inspection on our bill, he had signed us up for a premium verizon service as well as charging us for accessories he claimed were included in the trade-in/upgrade of the new phone. In addition, he tried to sell us on a "new" iPad mini, which after looking at it and doing some quick research while in the store turned out to be a four year old iPad that they were just trying to get rid of by price gauging and shady upsales. That should have tipped me off that there would be other sketchy things going into our bill, but unfortunately it was too late before I caught it. I was extremely bothered at the deception and lies going on with the store employees, especially the manager. Unfortunately, we were unable to get a refund on certain items due to Verizon's sticky return policy and the fact that we relocated and were unable to go back to this authorized retailer. If you need an iPhone upgrade, just go to the Apple Store. They will help you no problem and won't upsell you and charge you hundreds of dollars for extra junk you neither need nor want. I would give these guys zero stars if that were possible. With the class and character of this establishment, my bet is that they paid for gave discounts to people for five star reviews. When going to Verizon in the past, I've always got the feeling that the employees are always trying to up sale me on the latest phones. But at this locations that doesn't exists. I have gone to this location multiple times and they're always at your service trying to get you the best deal. I got the new iPhone X yesterday (11/14/17) and they made sure that I was taken care of. I forgot his name, but the gentleman helping me made sure I got all the bells and whistles when I did my up grade. Keep in mind the phone is sold out EVERYWHERE. This guy could have totally just taxed me when buying the phone to get bigger dollar on his sale. I'm very pleased with the service at this Verizon location. Be aware, this is not a Verizon store, it's a third party retailer. We had an awful experience here and want to warn any who try to go here. They scammed us repeatedly and were so rude in the process. One employee in particular but will not name names here. It's hard to believe what they did to us but overcharged us, made us buy extra merchandise by lying to us and sold us a financing plan that they never told us about. We only found out later after looking at our Verizon plan online!! We brought everything to their attention and were still rude about it and NEVER apologized! I am not one to complain and even write a bad yelp review but this is necessary. I just want to warn anyone trying to buy anything at this store! Please please don't go! The Apple Store is a 30 sec walk down the mall and they were awesome! They don't sell on commission like these jerks. Seriously avoid this place at all costs!!! A few months ago I went in here to look at phone cases. A sales associate started to assist me. Everything was obviously very overpriced, just like it is at every verizon store for phone accessories. Anyway, he showed me a few cases and then started to talk me into purchasing a screen protector as well. He showed me this product called the "black ice tempered glass screen-guard" the product actually turned into something that would be perfect for me but with the cost of the phone case and the screen-guard was very expensive. While I was deciding, the salesman explained to me that when the screen-guard breaks or/and the phone case, I just need to bring in the broken product and the box it came in and they'd replace it for me. No charge. Nothing. I had him repeat it to me a few times because it sounded to good to be true. He assured me that there was no catch. About a month later, the screen-guard cracked. I saved the box it came in and brought the broken screen-guard into this verizon location where I had purchased it. I told the man that started helping me that I needed a replacement due to the crack in the one I had bought and explained to him what the previous salesman had told me. The sales representative that was helping me said that was not true and I could go to a certain website and they would send me a new one and then I could come back to the verizon store to have them put it on for me. I was very very upset. I voiced to him that this was FALSE ADVERTISING and he just said sorry and handed the box back to me. I left very flustered. The next day, I called and asked to speak with a manager. The person I spoke with told me he was unavailable but he would get back to me today. I gave him my info, never received a call after 2 days passing by. I called again. Spoke to someone who told me to come right in and he'd replace it. I told him I couldn't make it in maybe till Saturday, he said ok. I came in on Saturday and the same man I talked to on the phone was there. Of course, they sold out of the screenguard for my iPhone. He told me the same thing the first sales representative told me which was to go to a website and it'd be completely free. I finally went to the website, it turns out there's a $10 fee plus shipping and handling. Usually it wouldn't be a big deal to me but because it was so expensive for the actual product, plus the false advertising, and on top of it all the gas money back and forth to this place I don't really want to pay for anything else when I was told in the first place I wouldn't have to. I'm beyond still upset about this matter and the people that work at this particular location all have been rude and unhelpful. Not only do they lie to you, but they don't care. Once they FINALLY replace my screen guard I will not be coming back here! DO NOT EVEN BOTHER with this location. read more

When I went back in the response from the same consultant was, "you should know those are basic charges". He couldn't have been more dismissive our rude. Said if I was upset to go "lawyer up". I went in the other day to switch my phone. A really simple task. I ended up waiting for over half an hour because the guy working there was flirting with the blond girl in front of me. Asking her questions completely unrelated to her phone or any electronic device for that matter. Then when he finally acknowledged that I was there he asked what I needed help with and I said "I need to switch my phone" to which he replied "Ughhh okay" ; and then continued to flirt with the girl again. Sorry that it's your job to help me with stuff like this. I wasn't helped for another 20 minutes. Horrible worker!! I've had other experiences like this at this exact store. STOP!!! I WISH I would have read these reviews before!!! This is not a true Verizon store!! I was sold a defective phone and when I went to a Verizon corporate store I was told that I purchased it from an indirect seller and I had to go back there. I was told BY CORPORATE that the indirect seller should have told me it was an indirect location and that I would not be able to get verizon support at any location!! CORPORATE told me that I shouldn't pay a restocking fee since I wasn't properly informed. Regardless, I was charged a $35 restocking fee for the phone that didn't work!! Wasted $35 on nothing except wasted time. I paid because I had already wasted time. And karma always wins anyway. I understand there's a contact but you guys should be responsible and give customers the full information!! Or sign your store appropriately instead of being sneaky. DONT GO HERE!!! read more
