Two days ago went into this store to get a new screen protector. They wanted to charge $40 for one or $80 for two with a warranty! Also tried get an app on my tablet from my iPhone, the guy, Jeremy, who helped me said it couldn't be done. He also had quite the attitude! I then decided to go to the Verizon store in Westlake. Carlos at the store changed the screen saver for $26 and got the app on my tablet in 2 seconds with no problems. I highly recommend avoiding the Verizon store in the Oaks Mall. Stopped in on Christmas Eve at 5:55, 5 minutes before close, needing to buy 2 phones. I was helped by Chris who couldn't have been nicer or more helpful. He was more than willing to get me taken care of, which obviously meant he wouldn't be getting out of there on time. He mentioned that he had a child whom he still needed to wrap for, but still handled my entire transaction with the same attention to detail one would get if purchasing a phone during regular business hours. If I could give a lower rating I would. The employees were nice at the Canwood location but I always ran into the same situation not being able to fix things or help because they are a Verizon authorized store and not a Verizon store. It's no wonder the Canwood store closed. Not only was the customer service awful, it forced me to go to Sprint and I couldn't be happier. Exact service and unlimited data for less money per month. After 20 years with Verizon I'm glad I made the switch, so thanks GoVerizon for pushing me out of Verizon. It's been 6 months and they are still "fixing" a device for me. They actually wanted me to call Verizon to deal with the problem? I told them they sold it to me and they were an authorized Verizon store. Good luck ever seeing that again!!! OK this is a 5 star. My boyfriend and I went and I upgraded to a Galaxy S5 and claimed insurance on my old phone and gave my boyfriend the brand new nexus (his new iPhone was stolen and he didn't have insurance...dumb!) Anyways the two guys were great!! Volunteered rebate info and Gave me 20% discount on all accessories. They patiently gave us their time even though we stayed well past closing. They even put screen protectors on us and smiled while my daughter tore the store apart from boredom. When i got home i noticed my screen was glitching. So annoying. I went back in today and again they were fantastic and olive had no problems. Replaced my phone , applied a new screen protector, and smiled kindly while my daughter destroyed the store. My wife and daughter and I went in to the Verizon at the Oaks Mall tonight to get my daughter's new iphone activated. We were greeted by "Sammy". We asked a few questions and noticed he was dismissive and condescending. By the time we got to the counter, I had an exchange with the guy and while he was typing he said sarcastically, "thanks for knowing my job better than I do". I couldn't believe it and I said, "Really?". He looked back and said, "Yeah really". At that point I told him what I thought of being treated like this and asked for the manager's number. He said, "I'm the store manager". So I asked for his boss's number. He turned and called for "Steve" who slowly came out of the back room, looking very disinterested and chewing some food. I told him what had happened and that I was outraged at being treated so rudely. He muttered some sort of weak apology and did absolutely nothing except offer to finish our transaction. By that point my daughter and wife wanted to leave so I asked for their names (Sammy Ramirez and Steve Frasier) and told them I'd be sure to let the public know about this incredibly rude and unprofessional treatment at their Verizon store at the Oaks Mall. So we left and went to another Verizon store where we received excellent service. But just to end the story of our evening, while we were being helped at the second store, two other people in the store who heard us talking about our experience told us they had also had bad experiences with "Sammy" at the other store. So Verizon if you're reading this, be aware you have an agent out there at the Oaks Mall store who is becoming known in the community and driving business away. read more

First off I don't normally provide reviews but I really felt I needed to for this particular Verizon store. I had gone to the one near where I live on Broadbeck off of Wendy Dr and I always have horrible experiences with them. I purchased all my phones (6 phones) through them and it's been nothing but a nightmare. They provided me with false promises and discounts that they never followed through. Every time I went back to complain about my bill being too high and not what I signed up for no one (even the business manager)that made those promises did anything about it. Well this time I went there hoping they can help me transfer my phone to a new one that was sent to me because my old phone had several technical issues and therefore I was given a new phone but because they were close to closing time they said they weren't able to help and told me to go to the one at Oaks Mall. I'm so glad I did because the manager Lee and salesperson Dillon went above and beyond to assist me. They were so thoughtful, kind and felt so bad for me that the other store sent me to them instead of them taking the short time to assist me. Lee and Dillon took their time to initiate the transfer and gave me clear directions to complete the process at home. They offered me to come back the next day and drop the phone off to them if I had any problems or difficulties to complete the transfer. It was more about them showing their compassion and willingness to help me that made me a fan. I will definitely be going to this Verizon store from now on even though it's farther from where I live. read more

I had the worse experience! When I first came in, I told them I need a new phone that day because my current phone was dead. They go to check me in and realize I wasn't a main user on our account. Which I applied for 8 times and Verizon still didn't have me on the account. Most version stores just call the main user for confirmation , this store wouldn't let me do that. They said they where different from the rest. So my parents had to call Verizon corporate , so corporate can tell them to let me buy the phone . That took 2 hours. Then when it finally came down to getting a phone , they didn't have any in stock of what I wanted ! So I bought a temporary phone -their idea- until my new phone came in . 2 days later I go to return my new phone . And it had a micro scratch on the screen when I got the phone, I didn't realize until I left the store so I never said anything, they said they wouldn't return it. But they will buy it back for 280 dollars , 2 days prior I spent 850 dollars on this phone and now they wanted to only give me 280 . It was all a big con . Oh to add to it , I wasn't aloud to go to any other Verizon store besides theirs because "they're a different chain" so I took the phone paid to fix that crack screen took it back returned it for full and took the phone I wanted . Spent 6 hours in this store . They didn't offer any discount for wasting my time . They have so many policy's , it'll screw over any client . I will never go back again. I highly suggest buying a phone with a different Verizon store where there are less "policies " read more

Went here recently for both a purchase and a return and both experiences were great. Nick, the manager, was very helpful in switching my grandpa over from a flip phone to an iPhone and getting him squared away with his contract. Then, after some time, my grandpa realized he was in over his head and wanted to return the iPhone and get back to the flip phone. We expected all kinds of kicking and screaming from Verizon for wanting to terminate the contract, but a salesman named Job was very patient and cool as a cucumber as he went through the process of switching the phone back and processing the return. With just a $35 restocking fee and a full refund of the rest, we felt that we'd been treated fairly and with care. read more

TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE. NEVER COMING BACK to this place. Granted they were short staffed and overworked as expected right before Christmas. But after super long wait, finally was able to buy a prepaid phone. The Android they sold me was awful and customer service deficient. Also Verizon tech support they suggested I call for help was impossible to reach. Then when I came back next morning, to return item, they said $50 fee just to return or exchange it. What???!!!! Said it was in the paperwork that they totally didn't highlight. So deceptive. And when I bought the phone they made no effort to show me different models, nor go through options to exchange when I returned, not even 12 hrs later. Same price to return as to keep cheap phone with prepaid plan for 1 mo. Made no sense! In addition, said they can't service my older iPhone, which ATT said they could. I'll NEVER EVER use Verizon again. NEVER RETURNING!!! Also sales person couldn't get his tablet to work...so had to wait so long. I'll never buy a cheap Android phone again sticking with Apple products. What a crappy company Verizon is. Since my unfortunate Verizon visit I've been to ATT on Moorpark twice and each time excellent experience and knowledgeable staff. Each visit fixed things quickly and accurately. I will never return to this Verizon store. Advice to store: start training your staff about the products and teach them manners, ethics, honesty. Get your tablets working, I had to wait for ages as the tablet wasn't working. Sales person went and got 2 tablets while I had to wait. Also consider getting tech support from outside, as you don't seem to be able to run technology properly. Make store more comfortable for customers, like better seating for the long waits and request exception for $50 to return items from corporate. That's a ridiculously high restocking fee. People like me get turned off and disgusted. Give people an incentive to want to shop at your store. read more

Over all it's a nice location, clean and has a good supply of all products.. Great customer service by Brian when I went in for my visit. Originally went in to upgrade my phone. Ended up having an issue with an old debt on my account. Brian took his time to personally call the ## required to be able to resolve the issue. Once fixed he transferred the upgrade to my line # and still offered to finish up the process by transferring my old phone to my sisters different Verizon line. He took his time and really showed interest in helping us out and making sure we had everything resolved. Was in and out in a timely matter. I felt totally ripped off and mislead. I was helped by someone named Natalie there. My iPhone X was not working at the time and I was told I had an upgrade available. Natalie told me it would be cheaper to upgrade instead of replacing my phone through insurance which would cost roughly $200. I was also told that if I got my iPhone X fixed to at least be able to unlock I could get $300 for it. So I went to a cheap repair kiosk in the mall. Paid $100 for it. This idea was hers keep in mind. I came back and traded in my phone. She then tells me that it counts towards my line that would take money off of my bill for the next year and not just cash. That would have been nice to know before I spent $100 with the thought that I would be getting $300. She made it seem like that would be the case multiple times. When I finally get my phone she claims that I will have no additional charge. I then get hit with another $80 fee on top of paying the taxes and activation. I felt very mislead through the entire process, and it ended up costing me twice as much as I was told. Not very happy about this and made me regret my decision. read more

This is probably one of the worst Verizon Wireless locations I have ever been to. I had the unfortunate opportunity to deal with this disgusting "manager" Chris, he was so disrespectful, smelled like alcohol and weed. This guy had dirty wrinkled clothes. My question is how does a respected company like Verizon Wireless allow such a foul person to work for them. I had questions about my bill and wanted to upgrade my parents phones. He tried to tell me that my iPad I was getting on promotion would be free. I called my friend who works at ATT and he said nothing is free, and to ask more questions and get a breakdown. When I asked more questions he got really nasty and disrespectful. My parents and I have decided to leave Verizon after 17+ plus years, my parents had been with Verizon since it was air touch. Stay away from this place they lie and this company obviously doesn't care about who they employ. read more

FRUSTRATING EXPERIENCE! I went to these guys for a new phone. I explained my needs, and they recommended a certain phone. When I got home and tried to use the phone as I expected, I came to find out it did not have an HDMI port and I couldn't stream to my television. So I drove out a couple days later to return the phone and get one that did have an HDMI port, and these guys told me they did not have a phone with an HDMI port and that I was stuck with the one they sold me. I went home and thought about it a little bit and remember that I had explained my needs to them prior to purchasing the new phone, so I went back and told them that I wanted to return the phone and just use my old phone. They then told me that there would be a fifty dollar restocking fee and a 25 percent restocking fee on accessories. At this point I told them that if they didn't take the phone back I would dispute it with American Express. Thank God for American Express. Upon hearing the word "dispute", they change their tune and told me they would try to track down the phone with an HDMI port. So, they ordered a phone from another go Wireless store and said they'd have it in a few days. I told them that I wouldn't be able to come back for a week because of my work schedule. They said that I had to come in to get the phone within 6 days, before the 14 day trial ran out, or I'd be stuck with the old old phone with no HDMI port. So on the sixth day I came into the store on my break from work and they told me that the phone was not in yet. At this point I'm really getting angry. I asked why didn't call me and let me know that the phone wasn't in and that I thought the deadline was that day. They told me that I was right, the deadline what's that day, but that they would extend the trial period. I asked them why they didn't call me and tell me that before I use my break from work to drive to the store and they had no answer. A couple days later I got a call that the new phone had come in. I went and picked it up and right away I was suspicious of the phone. It didn't have the charger and it didn't have the protective seal on the screin. I thought to myself, "This is a used phone." So I take the phone home and notice that there's a strange halo on certain web pages and that if I left the phone idle for more than a couple minutes it went to this weird promo screen. Then it occurred to me that they had given me a demo model of the phone. At this point I was ready to firebomb their store. So I went to another Go Wireless store in Agoura, and they fixed everything. If you care about your sanity, avoid the Thousand Oaks Mall Go Wireless store! read more
