Servers seemed a bit annoyed to have to deal with us shortly before close as I think they were hoping to usher people out and close down maybe a little early. One the one hand I get it, on the other hand you've got two paying customers on a slow night.

It was dark when we entered the coffee shop but an ajar door gave way to the bar. The decor is a homage to the works of Nikola Tesla, which can be seen in the subtle electric theme throughout the space and the naming of the cocktails. The space isn't too large - the bar and stools take up most of the space but they also have some booths/tables. The place looks great. The cocktail menu is very creative - I got one of their seasonal mixes that was actually two drinks in one. The main cocktail was meant to be sipped first and they provided a small glass of beer to be sipped after. The name escapes me but it was very good. Since we had cocktails at dinner, we only stayed for one round. Service was good, and overall I enjoyed my time at Patent Pending. I would definitely return to explore more of their menu.

Summary - Great indoor/outdoor bistro/bar for after happy hour. Venue - It's located within Renaissance New York Midtown Hotel. Unlike some of the other rooftop bars in Manhattan, the rooftop bar is not really a "rooftop" bar, as it's only 10 stories tall, and not located at the very top of the building. So you're not going to see any good views if that's your primary purpose. However, it does have both indoor and outdoor areas where you can get some fresh air. Food - we can came here after happy hour, so our drink/food had the normal price. For example, a shot of Tequila is $12, a bottle of beer is $9, cocktail is $15.The Mango Tango (cocktail) is actually quite good. Service - It's really hard to get drinks during a busy day. You're looking to wait at least 15 mins before you can get a hold of a bartender. It has 3 main bar area, 2 provide full service, and 1 small one that provides just wine and beer. Other than that, they do have staff that go around and take away your empty cups. Overall, it's a good rooftop bar in a convenient location if you're looking for a chill night out. But there are other better choices out there in Manhattan that have nicer views and better prices, especially during happy hour. read more

Refund promised but ignored by management - Versa NYC I visited Versa NYC previously on Thursday and had a great experience, which is exactly why I decided to come back again on June 13th at around 4:00 PM. At the reception, I was informed that i had to pay 108 for me and my husband just for the entrance and that there would be tables available. However, when I went upstairs, there were no tables and I was told I would have to stand. Since I am pregnante and specifically chose the venue expecting a seated experience, I decided not to stay. I immediately spoke with the manager, Shannon, who acknowledged the situation and assured me that a refund would be issued. She also provided me with her contact information. Since then, I have not received the refund, and she is no longer responding to my messages. This situation is extremely disappointing, especially because I had a positive experience before and returned trusting the service and information provided. Unfortunately, this time there was a clear lack of organization and follow-up. I have proof of payment and records of our conversation confirming the refund. I kindly request an immediate resolution and the refund that was promised. read more

I visited this establishment yesterday for pre dinner drinks with a group of 15. From the moment we started ordering, the staff's behavior was unpleasant. Some employees behind the bar seemed disinterested in serving us, almost as if they were avoiding us. When it came time to close the tab, we asked the bartender to confirm whether any additional charges or gratuity had been included. Instead of providing a helpful response, the bartender was rude and questioned whether I was "okay." The overall experience left a negative impression, and I was disappointed by the lack of professionalism - something that should be expected from both, employees and human beings in general. Absolutely 5 stars!! The staff were not only quick and attentive, but the food was incredibly delicious (the mozzarella sticks were hands down the best I've ever had - they were just amazing!). The venue was well-organized, with fantastic music and breathtaking views. I'm definitely coming back and planning another event there! Zac Baccaro, the events manager, was incredibly helpful and kind. I believe the on-site manager was Stephy (apologies if I've misspelled the name), but he was also an excellent host! The service was disappointing. They only offer plain coffee with no flavorings, creamers, or sugar, which was underwhelming. Unfortunately, the food didn't live up to its appearance. We spent $200, and it definitely wasn't worth it, especially given the poor service. The pancakes were mushy, the potatoes were soggy, and I couldn't even finish my plate. Generally association was not too bad, however I think the space was on the little side for the additional exercises they initially had arranged. The main event was Harry's Burger: a custom blend burger loaded with blue cheese, caramelized and crispy onions, sweet pickles, tomato, market greens, secret sauce, smoked bacon, all stacked on a brioche bun. This thing hit harder than a Knicks playoff screen. By the final buzzer, the crowd was losing its mind, my table looked like it survived overtime, and that burger deserved its own championship parade down 7th Avenue. Also the service was top-tier. So if the Knicks bring this much energy every night, somebody start measuring the route for the Finals parade.

It is 3:30 now and no one came to us. We didn't even get complementary top water that Applebee's will even pour on the table . I had to wave down a bustboy to retrieve our watiter. He said he got me 3:55 pm. He came back to make sure we were good and I informed him no one came to us He pulled out his phone and took our order in his iPhone notes. We was there from 3 to 630 and there was not one free shot that they promoted that will be giving every hour. All in all the place was a great place for vibes and if you wanna watch the game or something that nature but to sit down and enjoy your meal, definitely go somewhere else because service was horrendous.
