Really good space for large groups. Especially with the outdoor terrace area. Went on a Saturday in July 2022 for a birthday brunch, there wasn't a lot of people, the majority were from the birthday. The bartenders seemed uninterested and bothered in taking our orders. No one from the group was rude or anything, but they seemed like they didn't really want to be there. 2 bartenders should've been enough for the limited amount of ppl at the place (max 25) but it wasn't. Food was ok - service HORRIBLE! our server was Julio i think. we had to wait for awhile to get a drink order, and essentially felt forced to order everything immediately. no one checked on us throughout and mid conversation, a server just interrupted and asked to take plates... we weren't done eating anyway. someone in our party had a hard time eating her dinner because of how spicy it was, and let the server know. his response? "do you want a box?" clearly wasn't listening or attentive to the table. the cherry on top was how much he hovered over us paying the bill. the individual in our party paying for it just began reviewing it when he came back and said "have you finished?" i've NEVER had that happen at a restaurant before, bummer because we are staying at the hotel and enjoy the hotel and hotel staff, but this restaurant is an extreme let down. read more

Had a pretty disappointing experience in here this week. Came in around 6pm on a Wednesday night. We were told by the host that we were able to sit "at the bar outside", so my friends and I (3 of us total) walked to, you know, the bar outside.. well the bar outside was reserved for a private party. Not sure why the host wouldn't be aware of the private party. We were then re-routed by a different person and told to go get seating at a tall table near the bar because it was open seating, first come first serve. So we walk over to get seats there and guess what- ANOTHER PRIVATE PARTY HAD BOOKED THE "Open seating" at the bar. Again, not sure why it would be considered first come first serve if you can reserve it. All of the employees walk around like a chicken with their head cut off (hate that expression but it's very true in this scenario.) All were clueless and irritated that we were asking where to sit. Listen, I completely understand that I walked in without a reservation BUT I was happy to sit at a bar or would have preferred that the staff just politely told me there was no room for us rather than have us run around the restaurant. The decor is lovely and I would really love to try the food here but they need to work on getting organized first. 2/5 read more

The Margherita flatbread was debatably the pizza I've ever had and it wasn't even technically a pizza! Sara, our waitress, was amazing. So attentive and personable. I am honestly I am shock at how terrible my experience was. I've been to VERSA a few times but now they merged with Flip Sigi it's not even worth going. I was with a party of 6, all willing to spend money at the bar. After getting the run around about where we could even sit... they refused to serve us. The bartenders were wildly rude saying that we couldn't order drinks if we sat down ( be mindful that there were 5 open tables) they had no right to say anything when it was cleared with the hostess and manager. You can spend $16 on a mixed drink anywhere else and have a much better time. It's not worth the frustration when you're spending that type of money. Needless to say, we finished our drinks then left and will not be returning. Honestly I'm embarrassed after how much I hyped this place up. read more

We love dining on a rooftop and Versa has one of the greatest rooftops in the city. Take the elevator up and you'll be surrounded by beautiful trees and plants. We loved the view! We started with champagne and martinis which we delivered promptly. We had the crunchy calamari and the buratta appetizers. Both were great and everyone enjoyed them. For dinner we had the Mediterranean salads with chicken and shrimp and the Versa burger with bacon and cheddar. Fries were hot and delicious and the side salad was pretty good too. Our bill came to just under $400 with the tip for 5 of us. We'd definitely go back! read more

A great spot to take guests visiting NYC who want a more upscale rooftop experience. Although, Friday nights the DJ starts early (and loud) if you're seeking a quieter hang. Drinks and food reasonably priced based on the venue, and the outdoor lounge area offers a different, more intimate setting. Sights of Empire State Building and lower midtown also a treat. I ate lunch there this afternoon. I had a chicken quesadilla appetizer & a Cobb salad. The quesadilla was great, as was the salad. But our waitress was not very good (which is why I'm giving a 2-star rather than a 5). I was with a friend & specifically asked for the appetizer to come out first, before the entrées. However, my friend's salad arrived before the appetizer ever came out, then my appetizer arrived with my salad together later. I got 2 refills for my iced tea, then after I finished paying the bill, I noticed I was charged for each of them. This is not typical where I come from, you usually receive free refills on iced tea. However, she never let me know that I'd be charged for each iced tea. When I asked her about being charged for the 2 refills after I had already paid the bill & was leaving, she essentially dismissed me about it. Additionally, when we were looking for her help a few times, she was always chatting with other servers. I didn't want to write a review because I want this place to be my little secret but VERSA is bomb. I've been here on a Friday night for happy hour and also on a Saturday afternoon. There isn't much of a happy hour, except $5 beers but the ambiance and music was great. It's not technically a rooftop, it's on the 5th floor with an outdoor and indoor/outdoor space. The service is always great, though I can see how it can be troublesome when packed, that's at ANY bar though. VERSA is pretty spacious with 3 different bar areas. The food is also great, I've had the cripsy chicken sandwich and the burger, both were delicious. I was close to celebrating my birthday here, which I ended up not doing but the hosts were very helpful in accommodating. Great bar, I'll be back again and again. read more

The first time I ordered the dumplings and chose the fried option, thinking they would be pan fried. Unfortunately, they were dip fried and they were not good. I came in late on a Friday night to watch NCAA march madness on tv and they were accommodating to get me a seat outside and near a TV. Beautiful, modern interior. Great for groups and lots of space. Ordered their amazing crispy burrata and Korean style short ribs. The crispy burrata was phenomenal. Flavorful and crispy. Their short ribs were just alright though. Showed up after a game at the Garden with 30 people. We called ahead to make sure they could handle the crowd. It was late afternoon and we were looking for some cocktails, Apps, and maybe some burgers. They walked us over to a large table and a sectional table set up. It was a great set up, an area where we could eat drink and socialize. A waitress came over and started taking drink orders. We didn't see or hear from a server for 45 minutes. Two complaints to management and finally the drinks came from a different waitress. As a group we decided to finish the drinks, pay the bill and leave. As we were paying the bill, we were told that the confusion was due to a shift change. How any establishment could lose track of a group of 30'people is beyond me. How you let a party of 30 walk out and lose out on a large tip and bill is clearly indicative of a business that doesn't care. read more

LOVE everything about the place. The ambiance is Chic and the crowds are sophisticated. We find a corner section to sit down on the patio, seems like there is no services on the patio and you have to go to the bar for drinks and food. That was fine for me, because i hate servers to aggressively push you to order more drinks that you don't need. I had a customized cocktails which was delicious. Food was fantastic as well, we had Baked Hummus & Feta and Beef Slider to share, the size was great that we don't event feel a need for main course.
