I've taken my cat here before and had a very pleasant experience . I felt like they were really concerned and cared for my cat. I brought my older dog here because it was time to say see you later. We were crushed to say the least. The compassion and empathy shown by the Dr. and staff was comforting. It was a very difficult decision to make but the way they treated our baby and us , was exemplary. It made it easier in the difficult situation. They gave us whatever time we needed and we didn't feel rushed. God Bless this ER for pets . Thank you
I can't say enough about the care we received at this emergency vet. When my almost 3-year-old fur baby, Tobi, swallowed what looked like a crocheted sock on our walk, I was beyond scared. I couldn't find any emergency vets nearby in Chino Hills, but I was so fortunate to find this place. From the very first call, they treated me and Tobi like family. I was able to be right there with him every step of the way. No separation, just inclusion. They let me witness everything, from inducing vomiting to the X-rays, and they were so confident and calm, which helped me stay calm too. Ultimately the object was too big and needed an endoscopy with claw thing to remove which had me SHAKINGGG. They explained every single step, even when I didn't fully understand, and I felt so included, like we were part of their family. They were not just attentive to Tobi, but also to me, meeting both our needs and keeping me as calm as possible. Thank you to everyone--Bri, Elle, Sebastian, and Dr. Wickham, you made us feel so seen and loved. If you're looking for a vet who treats your pet and you like family, this is the place. Another review this time for my husky, Moose. Moose had grand mal seizure on Sunday night that lasted about 2 minutes. It scared the crap out of me since he's never had a seizure before. My family had to take him in as I had to run to the human ER due to him biting me and breaking my wrist during the seizure. Despite not being there in person, VEG kept me updated and let my family stay with him. They were very understanding on why I wasn't there for my Moose. They kept him overnight for observation and gave me a dose of emergency meds for Moose incase he has another seizure. This place is amazing and I'm so thankful for them.
First of all, Thanks to all of the VEG team for helping our senior English bulldog get some relief yesterday evening. Chunk needed fluid drained from his abdomen - 400ml, 6 hrs and $1000 later - he was comfortable and we were happy to take him home the same night. A special thank you to Dr. Lauren, for explaining her findings and test results to point us in the right direction for next steps in solving our bulldog's health mystery. And a shout out to Kloey for being so amazing with our boy throughout the entire process and procedure to drain the fluid from his abdomen. A couple of things to keep in mind - I think it's always important to listen to your gut and stay in tune with your pet, especially in emergency situations. Set your boundaries, ask questions and make informed decisions. No matter where you go, It's also never fun, quick or very affordable dealing with a pet emergency. The people can make a huge difference.
My husband and I brought our cat Fuzzie in to be put down after a long battle of health problems. Fuzzie was over 20 years old. We had gotten her as kitten so she had been our sweet buddy for almost half our life. The staff at VEG were so compassionate and made process very easy. We had a cozy room to hold her and spend her last moments with her. The doctors were so kind and gentle. The entire staff even signed a sympathy card and sent it to us in the mail. It's been a week since we had to say our goodbye but I can't think of a better place we could have chosen. We thank you guys so much for being so kind and thoughtful on one of the hardest days of our life.
We lost our beautiful Camila. Sadly she needed surgery and no matter how many times I calculated the numbers. This time we could no cover her surgery. I've lost people in life and I learn over time to take a lost well but this time is was different & very hard. I quickly got JLo her niece car insurance. I cannot go through this again From the start a young lady by the name of Bri made everything just a little better for us & Dr Ortiz. I also want to thank the staff for the lovely card they sent us. Little things like that really mean the world to us!
Had to come to VEG to get my dog's sutures restitched. She scratched a (healed) incision site a little too zealously and popped the wound right back open, and although my regular vet would have fixed her back up, driving to Corona on a Friday night wasn't my idea of a good time. All that in mind, my regular vet was able to send my dog's records to VEG so that everyone knew the important details. The staff here from the doctors to the technicians and the receptionist were all very kind and helpful, which is very much appreciated when needing emergency medical attention for a furry family member. The techs did the initial check of my dog while the doctor read her records. A course of treatment was agreed upon and then we waited. I discovered that a pet ER is not much different from a people ER in that there's an inevitable wait...a long one! We came in at 5:30 and didn't come home with our girl until 10:30 :/ As you would imagine, emergency veterinary services aren't cheap. But they do give you an itemized breakdown with recommended procedures and medications for your review and approval. All in all, tho, the whole experience (minus the 5 hour wait) was good. The staff not only was friendly and helpful to us, but just as importantly, they were kind and caring to my dog. I hope I won't need emergency veterinary services for my pets again, but IF I ever do, I'd feel comfortable coming back here.
This place is great if your pet was in a real emergency. They have state of the art equipment, do everything out in the open and consult you before every move (but not give you results before upselling you for the next test) If you have something wrong with your animal and it does not seem too urgent I would wait to see your own vet. Just to walk in and be seen cost $200. Then they tacked on another $345 for tests that were negative. Nothing was wrong with the puppy we brought in. They came back in and wanted to do more random testing but after they showed their process I was no longer interested. They would ask for further testing before giving you results of the last test. Then after they start the new testing give you a negative result of your old test. We were in a private room. If you want peace of mind for your pet, have unlimited amounts of money and time then come in. As for me, I' will chalk this up as a lesson learned. The place looked nice and shiny so you will be paying for aesthetics too. Hope your animal feels better.
This place was so kind. We had a dental situation for our little guy. We brought him around 10:30pm. They let us know that they didn't feel comfortable extracting the tooth that was really bothering him, causing him to gauge his face and eyes with his paws. So she offered us other help by giving him some pain medication and medication for the infection that was taking over his mouth. They were all very patient and sweet. Good seeing Briana! She was so sweet to our dog and added some humor to our stressful night. Thank you to everyone working there that night!
We are incredibly grateful for the care and compassion the entire team showed us to help us during an emergency with our hamster! We noticed our hamster severely struggling to breathe, eat, and drink after having a reaction to Ivermectin that had been prescribed by another vet clinic. We rushed him to VEG, and the team immediately stepped in to help stabilize him and figure out what was going on. After receiving oxygen treatment and a care plan for an Upper Respiratory Infection, they sent us home with medication and supplemental food to help syringe-feed him. Even though he was just a hamster, he was me and my fiancé's first pet, and the staff truly treated him with kindness and respect. Dr. Stephanie was especially amazing (she told us she owned hamsters in the past) and she took the time to show us how to safely pick him up and feed him so we felt comfortable caring for him at home. She also answered all of our questions thoroughly and was transparent about the high risk of complications given his elderly age (2.5 years old). Over the next few days, we did see improvement. He started eating and drinking again, was breathing better, and even climbing around. He responded really well to the medication and supplemental food. Unfortunately, he relapsed a few days later and passed away in our arms at home, which we were told was a high possibility given how elderly he was. Nonetheless, we were so happy to have those last few 'healthy' days with him spending time with him. To us, that extra time with him was priceless, and that was all thanks to the quick care and professionalism by the VEG team. We took him back to VEG where Brittany helped guide us through the aftercare options with so much compassion. We live in an apartment so we honestly didn't know what options we had. We were given a quiet room to grieve and take our time deciding what felt right for us. We chose a private cremation and were really appreciative of how smooth and thoughtful the process was. About a week later, we received his ashes and paw prints. This was our first pet together so and we are so thankful for the warmth, empathy, and care VEG showed us and our tiny little guy every step of the way. We truly felt supported during one of the hardest experiences, and we couldn't recommend them enough.
The team was amazing throughout the entire process. They went above and beyond our expectations. We brought in Charizard our crested gecko who had a hemipenis prolapse. Most people would think it's just a lizard but their compassion and process was one of a kind and something my partner and I have never experienced before. Allowing us to be with him the entire time, having an open layout that allows for all pet parents to be there through out every moment and even offering us a bed to stay and get some rest while our little guy recovered. My partner and I were considering euthanizing due to the cost of the procedure. (In our experience with other vets if we could not afford the procedure we were forced to either surrender or euthanize). We were just heart broken with this through. But the team comforted us through every decision and truly helped us financially to save our little guy by dramatically reducing the cost and relieving that burden. A huge shout out to Dayna who answered my call and comforted us throughout the entire process. To Jess and Dr.Rivera who took amazing care of Charizard. They both were so compassionate and helped us out with our decisions. Giving us options and how to best support him and truly went beyond by helping us by reducing the financial burden. This team is truly amazing during this difficult time. We will forever be grateful and will definitely be coming back for any emergency, and telling our friends and families about VEG ER for Pets! Thank you guys again for everything!
This was my very first visit to Anaheim VEG ER. I ended up here out of sheer desperation since no other 24/7 emergency vet could see my very sick cockatiel. Little did I know that I would end up having an extremely sad but the most incredible experience. Let me start off by stating that this location is very close to the freeway in a very well lit outdoor corner mall with plenty of parking. The frontage of the this 24/7 animal emergency care is in a great safe location, very secure and has a safety process in place. As soon as you walk in you get the open concept vibe which is definitely not your typical doctor's office floor-plan. There are however, a couple private rooms for a variety of scenarios such as safety, privacy and/or isolation just to name a few. This 24/7 vet sees EVERY kind of animal that can fit through there front door! Fur, feather and reptile just to name a few. I have to give the founders absolute props for pioneering this new comforting and successful concept! All the staff I came in contact with was genuinely phenomenal: Dr Yang Bri Willie Claudia Carolina Celia Moses I can honestly say that each and every one of them were genuinely compassionate and caring. Always checking on me to make sure we were OK and offering food, drinks, or any other items of comfort. I seriously can go on and on about my positive experience despite the outcome. I am truly grateful to this team for helping an emotional experience comforting. Seriously..... thank you all SO SO much
My two-year-old cat a ginger princess seemed to be losing weight and acting ill, so I brought her in to be evaluated. They did x-rays and bloodwork, and after the x-rays I was told they thought they saw a mass and that it looked like cancer. I was told she would likely die soon. I was absolutely devastated. I left late at night crying with my son, truly believing we were about to lose her. I was even close to making the decision to put her down because I couldn't emotionally or financially handle what I was being told at that moment. They did suggest I go to Pasadena for an ultrasound and biopsy to confirm, so I woke up at 4 AM and drove her there. The testing took all day and was incredibly stressful. In the end, I was told there was no cancer. It turned out to be her organ positioning stacked on one another on the x-ray and some fluid that was biopsied but came back negative. A year later, my cat is now three years old and completely healthy. In total, I spent around $4,000 going through this process, along with a tremendous amount of emotional distress that I will never forget. I understand imaging can sometimes be difficult to interpret, but I wish the initial findings had been communicated that the xray cannot be clear showing what is there because the vet told me he was certain it was a mass and she would not live much longer. I guess she had a stomach ache. She was hydrated and given an appetite stimulant and-is well. I would be more than happy to give more stars because the staff did seem caring and compassionate, but this experience was extremely traumatic and financially draining for my family as a single mom. Within a few days of her coming home my son's stress was so high he had a collapsed lung at the age of 25. It was a rough time for us.

This place is the best vet office I've ever been to in my life! The speed and efficiency of the staff blew me away and how easy and simple it was to get my cat taken care of was amazing I want to personally shout out Jess, who not only recommended me to come in but talked me to thru everything and made sure I was good during my visit! Nani and Jenn were the vets who took care of my cat, Doja, who swallowed the wrong piece of grass they treated her with so much love and care and even talked me thru each step which was great because I have high anxiety I am truly thankful for everyone here and the help i received, this is a place I will be coming back to (hoping I won't but ya know haha) and recommending to all my friends and family read more

We have a new Iggy puppy, she was playing in the backyard last night and came inside and suddenly one side of her face and mouth was very swollen. My husband was able to get my puppy seen without an appointment immediately! The doctor was knowledgeable and professional. He gave her medicines for an allergic reaction to an insect bite. She came home and slept with me, and the swelling was gone by morning. I am thrilled with the fast and easy service. Plus, my receipt and medical notes were emailed to me and our normal vet. This made it easy for me to do an insurance claim. I will absolutely use them again if we need to. They are fabulous! read more

I brought my Guinea pig (Nimbus) to VEG because his eye looked really bad. The staff there were really caring and put him into a special incubator to keep him warm and gave him hay and water. Several staff members worked with me to make his stay affordable and they helped me to find a clinic to do his eye surgery asap despite Christmas being tomorrow (they could have done the surgery there, but it would have been really expensive and the staff said he'd be okay for another day). The staff updated me on his status and explained everything to me. Nimbus was in good hands. Edit: Nimbus's surgery was performed today by Dr. Yang at VEG as they changed the estimated price to be more affordable (originally doing his surgery at a clinic tomorrow was going to be significantly less expensive). I am very grateful so that Nimbus doesn't have to suffer a day longer. Dr. Yang did a fantastic job with the enucleation and gave me pain medication for Nimbus's home care. Nimbus is eating and seems back to his happy old self already! read more

I'm so glad I found this emergency group, they were very comforting and found out what was wrong with my little dog right away. I wasn't there too long and it didn't kill my pocketbook. I even came back the next day to have them look at her. They took such great care with her and everyone was helpful. I didn't feel like I was sitting outside of a waiting room, wondering what was going on. She's tiny so they looked at her right on the couch that I was sitting on. Brought in our bunny Alfie after he wasn't eating or pooping for 2 days. I called here after cold calling every vet on Yelp, and the excellent customer service care started from the receptionist on the phone who knew right away that I was worried about GI stasis. Upon arrival we were escorted to a personal bench seat where they brought a covered box, hay, and fresh greens for Alfie to enjoy. All the staff were professional, kind, and collaborative. I could also tell that they enjoyed their jobs and loved animals. It was a bit of a drive for us to get here but so worth it, and I'm glad that we know this place is here in case things ever happen again (god forbid). There was even a complimentary coffee and snack bar for visitors. Thank you VEG! read more

Our cat got attacked by three coyotes, and our local emergency vet recommended we come here because their doctor was performing emergency surgery. We live in Corona, so we drove to Anaheim Hills, which is about 30 minutes away, but it was totally worth it. If you ever need a vet emergency hospital, please come here! I can't even begin to tell you how much care we received not only for our cat but also for us as pet parents. From the moment we arrived, Elle helped us get checked in and guided us through the entire process of the cost and how to pay. She also set up a room with pillows and blankets for us to spend the night and be with our cat. Dayna was very helpful and personal. She treated our cat as if it were her own. Dayna also made us feel comfortable by offering us food, snacks, something to drink, and even bringing me an extra chair for my feet to be more comfortable. Lastly, Dr. Reed was incredibly amazing! She explained every single procedure that needed to be done and what it was needed for. She explained the risks involved and let us be there every step of the way. The entire staff here truly cares about the health of your pet's well-being and the well-being of the owners because it's an emotional experience seeing your animal hurt, but the entire staff made sure we were taking care of. If we ever have another animal emergency (not that I would want to), we will definitely be back here. Thank you everyone at Veg! read more

Wow! Where do I even start?! I have worked in vet med since I was 15, so 20 yrs. I am now the Director of an animal urgent care for dogs and cats only with an organization not affiliated with VEG. We had a family present today with a baby bunny they saved from being attacked by crows. My team notified me and we literally called every organization we could think of or were referred to, every emergency hospital, local clinics, animal control and unfortunately nobody was able to help us. Even the wetlands wildlife stated they don't take bunnies or help with care or rehab . Then I tried VEG and they put a DVM on the phone immediately who was SO friendly and SO kind about the situation. She stated to come on in! I drove over and walked into an open concept treatment room. I thought maybe I came in the wrong door and apologized for walking straight into treatment which is usually closed off from anyone other than employees. They said I was exactly where I should be! Say whaaa?! What an AMAZING CONCEPT! I couldn't believe my eyes! The Care Concierge sit to one side, the DVM's across on the other all facing inward to the treatment stations in the middle. I have never in my life or career seen such a thing. There were even couches at each station with really nice blankets available. They offered private rooms as well and all the couches turn into beds so PET PARENTS CAN STAY WITH THEIR BABIES THE WHOLE TIME! I always feel so bad for pet parents who have to sit and worry in an exam room while their babies are in the back receiving treatment. The place was extremely clean and I really loved the color scheme. The blankets, scrubs, even laptops all went along with the color scheme. This place is top notch! They thought of EVERYTHING! I am geeking out for sure! The patient care was also fantastic. Everyone was SO friendly and informative. The team all worked so well with one another which is such a great thing to witness. They went over and beyond for this little bunny and the other patients that were being treated. From the second you walk into the door you are greeted by everyone and attended to the entire time. I really enjoyed the conversation with the staff and Dr. They had a snake, a dog and a rabbit all getting treatments and it was so calm and relaxing and interesting to watch everything going on. I cannot say enough about this place! THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH! Little bunny girl is doing great so far! read more

We had a horrible accident with our girl. She was playing with our bigger dog when he pawed her eye ball out of socket. We took her to VEG Emergency Hospital. The minute we got there the staff was amazing. We were greeted by Jess our Nurse who immediately took her, accessed her and gave her pain medication right away.The office Admin's Holly & Orsa were amazing in getting the paperwork and discussing our plan. Dr. Townsley examined her and got a plan in place. He was very professional and so caring to our situation & last but not least the Hospital Manager Joey was just another wonderful addition to the team. Our experience was amazing the staff really do care about our fur babies and made our experience one we will never forget. Our Girl is set for surgery and we are confident she is in great hands. So next time you have an emergency with your fur baby I highly recommend VEG. read more

Brought in my cockatiel through their emergency services and from beginning to end it was a pleasant experience. He wasn't feeling too well and no one was open in my area. I made the drive after speaking with the doctor over the phone. Dr. Ortiz was simply amazing along with her lovely techs. My cockatiel is now home resting and on antibiotics. I knew it was time to let my Lola go. Her heart medication wasn't working at all so she continued to retain a lot of fluid plus she started having a hard time breathing before her vet check appointment. The Dr. Cody gave me two options: treat her condition or let her go. It was the hardest thing I had to do because the medication never worked. Dr. Cody was understanding and very patient with me as I had been crying prior to the ER. The two vet techs did their jobs professionally and were also understanding. They weren't irritated by me or my pet. I definitely appreciated that they were patient with me as I was saying goodbye to my girl in private. I cried my heart out. For being 24 hours, they are reasonably priced. No convincing me to buy this or that or charging me outrageous prices. I already knew it was time for me to let my baby go.I went during the early morning hours, and there was no one there. I was able to check in immediately without any 3 or 4 hour waits like other places. It was worth the drive. Very clean, open lobby with no behind closed doors diagnostics (which I liked very much! ) I was able to stay with my fur baby as they tried to work on her; they have private rooms also. I truly felt that I could trust this place after bad experiences at Vet clinics/hospitals. I went to veterinary emergency group because of the reviews others shared. I truly do appreciate the sensitivity of this matter in deciding to put my precious fur baby down. Overall, this is great 24 hr emergency pet hospitals in my experience. Update: I wasn't ready to post so I held on to this review until now. So very grateful for Veterinary Emergency Group. They sent me a sweet card for the loss of my dog. Unfortunately, I can't say the same for my Vet. Some people may never know the deep wounds a person has and they'll never know how much a companion, a buddy, a faithful loving dog means to those that have lost them. When you love deeply; you mourn deeply. I thank God for all the blessings and the trials. Philippians 4:13 I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength. read more

I can't express enough how amazing this place is. They saved my dog and made everyone feel comfortable. My dog Lola Ellis is doing amazing after her surgery.Dr Ortiz and dr Brittney are amazing they are on it and they care about your animal. This place is willing to work with you and it's not just about the money like other places. I love the open concept of this location and you can be with your animals at all times. I hope they don't change as they get busier. I am truly thankful for this place and happy. I would recommend to anyone that needs an emergency for their animal and peace of mind. I don't use Yelp and NEVER write Yelp reviews, but this place was so special and amazing that I had to download Yelp just for them. I called my regular clinic in tears on a Wednesday morning about my dog and the receptionist seemed so uncaring and rude. Not that she has to be kind to me when I'm in a tough spot, but it was definitely enough to be off-putting. A family friend recommended this place shortly after so I gave them a call. I was still in tears and barely able to convey what was going on, but they were so patient and understanding. Whoever picked up the phone was so kind and even gave me a link to sign my dog in so we didn't have to fill anything in when we got there. My mother and I got there about thirty minutes later and the tech(?) who let us in knew what was going on, so my dog was immediately brought in and didn't have to wait. Two techs were kind enough to come out and help pick my sweet lady up using her bed and transferring her onto a gurney so she didn't have to walk in. She's on the heavier side, so this was beyond appreciated. I wouldn't have been able to make her comfortable while carrying her by myself. They offered us snacks and water when they led us into a comfort room and the super sweet tech even asked to give me a hug. (Thank you cause I'm pretty sure I totally got tears on your nice scrubs!!) My dog was able to lay comfortably on her bed on the floor while I laid alongside her. When they came back, they explained thoroughly about what they would be doing and told us we could take our time with her and just let them know when we're ready. They didn't rush us whatsoever despite us taking a while. When we were ready, the doctor came in and kept explaining through the whole process as we put her down. She was so kind and gentle with my old lady, I knew she was in good hands. Even after this, they still let us remain in the room for however long we needed. They also provided me with a vial of my sweet baby's hair they had shaved for the IV and a 24/7 grief hotline, which was beyond appreciated. Every tech and doc that interacted with my dog or me that day was amazing. They treated us both with so much compassion, Hazel was shown so much love by everyone on her last day. It was extremely clear that every person in this building loves what they do and loves the animals they work with. You guys are definitely an inspiration. I sadly didn't get names because the whole day is becoming a bit of a blur, but THANK YOU to everyone that interacted with me, my mom, or Hazel that day. We all appreciate you SO much for all the kindness you showed us on such an awful and hard day. I do remember one of the techs had a sweet 15y/o dog named Gidget if that helps pin-point! About the clinic itself, to say this clinic is beautiful would be an understatement. Even at my lowest, I was still taken aback by how gorgeous this OPEN CONCEPT clinic is! I was unsure I was going in the right door at first because the entire clinic is open so you can see everything. As someone that is studying to work in vetmed, this place was a dream. If I ever have an emergency with one of my other cats (knock on wood), I'd definitely come back here because I'd be confident that they were getting the best care and love. I'd recommend this place to any pet owners out there. This day was SO hard for a multitude of reasons and they definitely made it better. If I could give more than five stars, I would. Thank you guys again for helping me and Hazel on such a difficult day. I know she isn't here anymore, but she loves and appreciates you guys too. We get her ashes back from them soon and I can't wait to see her again. read more

The way I was inconsolable this morning before bringing my cat Nowi into the vet hospital I called the clinic just to make sure I could come in because I've never done an emergency vet visit. Holly was very patient with me as I was crying on the phone and made me feel so much better automatically. I brought her in and right away I was treated with the most compassionate kindness from everyone in the clinic. Even Nowi started feeling more comfortable with the doctor Tori. Usually she gets very nervous at the regular vet but even she was feeling better. They offered me juice and snacks because I was super lightheaded from all the crying. This clinic was such a breath of fresh air after my panic filled morning. I literally cannot recommend it enough. read more

I can't thank the amazing ladies at VEG enough. In an emergency, they acted quickly while being incredibly kind and comforting. When I had to say goodbye to my baby, they guided me through every step with so much care allowing room for my emotions and giving me all the time I needed to say goodbye! They were very hands-on helping me choose the perfect memorial box, making sure I got the best paw prints, and just being there for me. They even mailed me a handwritten card to express their condolences and took the time to sit and talk with me in person, which meant so much.
