First time in Paso Robles area and found this cute little spot on Yelp! [[HIGHLIGHT]]It's located inside the Paso market walk and has very limited seating if you're trying to stay indoors but cute ample seating outside if it's not too hot out![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We got the prosciutto fig pizza with a burrata ball and a sausage pepperoni, which was nothing too crazy. The prosciutto fig really stole the show, being so mouthwateringly good with the balance of sweet and savory! I liked that the fig was incorporated into the pizza and not just freshly cut as a topping and the burrata ball really made pizza extra special! The people working there were all also super nice!

First time trying out this place. The pizza tasted so fresh and delicious. We got the margarita pizza and the mushroom pizza . We had to order one to go because it was so good. The service was great and prompt . We will definitely come back

First time to Paso Robles, we were in the mood for pizza - scored! Thanks to Yelp, I chose Via Caravaggio. We had the fig prosciutto pizza and the pepperoni/sausage pizza, both were excellent. The service was great, everyone we encountered was so friendly. [[HIGHLIGHT]]And what a great ambiance, we sat outside, great weather and live music.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Great place!!

Rosemary & Pistachio - mozzarella, thinly sliced red onion, rosemary, pistachios, pecorino.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Great pizza in Paso at a casual spot with indoor and outdoor seating.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] My husband and I ordered two pizzas - a margherita and a white one with rosemary and pistachio. Both were very good, great crust and perfectly prepared. We also got an arugula salad as it's always the perfect side with pizza. They used wild arugula which was tossed with a lemon dressing, parmesan and pine nuts. Simple yet tasty. Pizzas aren't huge but didn't want to stuff ourselves full with both pizzas even though we could have. Instead opted for some leftovers. Service was fast, sat outside b/c we had our dog and everyone was so kind to her. They brought out water and she got plenty of love from the staff. Kind of pricey for pizza but also seems to be the new norm especially b/c this is wine country.

We attended an event at the Blending Lab and wanted to grab a bite. We decided to grab a couple pizzas and dessert at Via Caravaggio. The staff were amazing. So nice and helpful. Our food came out very very fast. We did not have to wait long at all. We have been here before when they first opened and decided to try it again. I ordered the pepperoni and sausage with hot honey. They definitely use quality ingredients. The dough is made with 00 flour. It is cooked all the way through and has the right texture. It a perfect mix of thin with fluffy crust. My pizza had a great amount of spice to it. I don't know if it was the hot honey or the pepperoni and sausage. I also ordered the cannoli. It was very good. A great mix of sweet and savory. Overall the food was very good, but I feel that it is overpriced. We ordered two pizza's that are "personal sized" and a cannoli for $70. I understand $50-$55 but $70 for two small pizzas and a cannoli is too much. I would be here all the time if it wasn't for how pricy it is. Great food and great service.

Via Caravaggio is an authentic Italian pizza place you'll never want to miss out on. Their pizzas were divine to say the least. The cheese was so so good it melts in your mouth and makes you want more! The service was also really good and fast! We didn't make a reservation but were lucky enough to have been seated inside as the weather was really hot that day. We got the Margherita D.O.P. and the 'Nduju Di Calabria! We loved both but leaned towards the Margherita more. Thank you for the great hospitality!

$19 Caesar Salad - great flavor, but at that price it should be a dinner salad! Pizza was great, thus the high rating.

We got two pizzas to go and they were amazing. The apple -honey maybe my new all time favorite . The service was fast and friendly. The owner was even working the oven. They have a dessert pizza that somebody ordered and it looked really good when it came out. Mela al a Gorgonzola (apple, gorgonzola, hot honey) .................................................................... Carne Piccante (crushed tomatoes, pepperoni, sausage, Calabrian chilis)

Best pizza I've ever had! Every single time it's the same amazing quality. Haven't tried a pie I didn't like. Tonight I ordered to go and the pizza had to wait for it maybe 2-3mins once I arrived. The owner came out and offered a complimentary half glass of wine while I waited. It was such a nice gesture of thoughtfulness towards their customers. They already had a customer for life, but that type of service is just a cherry on top! Thank you!

Great traditional Italian pizzas. The dough is amazing and they have a great menu to appease Italian food lovers. The Caesar salad and caprese stack were great starters, we ordered the Margherita pizza and the mushroom pizza to try a red & white sauce. Both pizzas were great and we even tried some desserts, the gelato espressos were amazing (I recommend the vanilla one) and we tried a half pistachio half Nutella twist. Everything was good and it was a great experience, service was exceptional as well.

Haven't been since they were newly opened. Boy have I been missing out. Not only is all of their food amazing, their service is fantastic and [[HIGHLIGHT]]their setup is adorable.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Very fun spot to go![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

It came down to three local restaurants, and Il Cortile won out based on location and the type of cuisine offered. I made reservations a week ahead of time to ensure we'd have a table. I did ask for an inside table, but we were seated outside in the courtyard -- which, as it turned out, we actually preferred. Inside was quite cool; mind you, it was still in the 80s when we walked to our 6:30pm reservation. We were greeted and promptly seated right outside the front door, and the patio area was lovely -- much quieter than what we saw and heard inside. Our server greeted us, and we ordered a round of drinks as a small loaf of crusty bread was served with an olive oil and balsamic dipping sauce. Our drinks arrived and we were ready to order. For antipasti, we chose the Caprese Salad and Carpaccio di Tartufo. For primi, we went with the daily sea bass special and Agnolotti di Mais. The presentation on all the food was excellent. The salad was super fresh, with wonderfully flavorful tomatoes. The carpaccio was thinly sliced, with a nice sauce and shaved truffle. When the sea bass arrived at the table, it looked dry to me, but the inside was quite moist and full of flavor. The agnolotti was rich, with a great use of sweet corn, truffle, and pecorino Romano. All in all, a wonderful dining experience. We ordered cannoli to go before settling up the bill and heading out. Would love to return at some point.

We had a very disappointing experience at Il Cortile Ristorante…read more We had made a reservation weeks in advance for 8:45 PM for July 3rd, 2026 and we arrived on time. Instead of being seated, we were told to come back in 20 minutes. When we returned, we were then told it would be another 25 minutes. At that point, it became clear that the reservation system meant very little. What made the situation worse was the lack of any proper waiting area. There was no lobby, no comfortable place to stand, and no bar seating available while guests waited. The dining room also looked extremely crowded, with tables placed very close together, which did not create a relaxing or upscale dining atmosphere. The front-desk experience was also poor. The host seemed very young and inexperienced, and there was little sense of professionalism, apology, or customer service. When a restaurant is running that far behind, especially for guests with a reservation, the staff should be trained to communicate clearly, apologize properly, and offer some kind of solution. For a restaurant that presents itself as a nice Paso Robles dining destination, the experience felt disorganized, overcrowded, and poorly managed. Making a reservation weeks ahead should mean something. Instead, we were left waiting with no real hospitality and no confidence that we would be seated anytime soon. Unfortunately, we left very disappointed. Based on this experience, I would not recommend Il Cortile Ristorante, especially if you are planning a special dinner, visiting from out of town, or relying on a reservation.

Our server, Danny, truly made the evening special. He was welcoming, friendly, attentive, and had such positive energy throughout the night. We had our little ones with us, and he was incredibly accommodating and patient, making sure everyone at the table felt taken care of. It's rare to find service that feels so genuine, and Danny absolutely knocked it out of the park. The food was phenomenal from start to finish. We started with the bone marrow appetizer and turned it into a luge--which was such a fun experience! We also ordered a basket of fries with the goat cheese ranch for the kids, and even those were amazing. For our entrées, we had the Pork Chop Milanese, the Wagyu steak, and the Etto Truffle Pasta. Every single dish was beautifully prepared and absolutely delicious. It's hard to pick a favorite because they were all outstanding. The cocktails deserve a special mention because they were an experience all on their own. We ordered the whiskey-forward cocktails, with one arriving in a smoke-filled box and the other presented in a lit, smoke-filled chest. The presentation was theatrical, creative, and so much fun while still delivering incredible flavor. To top it all off, Danny surprised us with sparkling wine to celebrate my husband's birthday, which was such a thoughtful and memorable touch. From the exceptional service to the unforgettable food, creative cocktails, and warm hospitality, this was one of the best dining experiences we've had in a long time. Thank you, Danny, and the entire Alchemists' Garden team, for helping make my husband's birthday so special. We can't wait to come back!

The restaurant itself is gorgeous, with thoughtful decor and a warm, inviting atmosphere (something I always pay attention to). Service was excellent--attentive without being overbearing. It's now at the top of my Paso Robles restaurant list, and we'll definitely be back. I would suggest they find a local bread maker to supply their bread. Normally I'd say just remove that from service altogether but the sauce was so good that I'd hate to see it go.
