Decent Vicky Bakery! Got their guava pastries and they were fresh and affordable and sizable! They had a large selection of empanadas that I'd return to try. Staff were friendly and service was quick.

While at school in Miami, Vicky Bakery was a cornerstone of my experience. Their cafe con leche helped me numerous times stay awake through my last class of the day, and their cheese tequeno satisfied my hunger until I was able to have an actual meal later in the day. Now I'm post-grad and working full-time, but Vicky Bakery has remained that life-line. On this particular day, I needed an afternoon pick-me up, so of course I got a hot cafe con leche with some sugar, and a cheese tequeno. It was the perfect boost I needed to finish off the day, just like it was before. If you happen to enjoy your coffee and food in the store, you have a nice selection of seating to choose from, and friendly service to help you. Never change Vicky.

Today I needed to cheer myself up from some bad news & decided to get some empanadas. Jose was so patient & kind as I decided what to order. The bakery was clean & tidy. I got both beef & spinach empanadas and a slice of cheesecake. Thank you Jose for brightening my day.

The best time to go is first thing in the morning to get fresh pastry's. I enjoy guava and cheese pastry's and the ones at vickies

Que bueno! Vicky bakery is so delicious always, probably the best franchise/chain in south Florida. All the Cuban hits all the time. When you see the window of treats... croquetas, pastelitos, empanadas...... it's a great feeling. Cafecito is a must, get your Cuban coffee! I have ordered rum cakes here that always go well at parties.

Stopped in today, nothing changed, it's actually worse than last time. I honestly have no clue why people come here. Stale, cold pastries & a joke of a chicken sandwich. Officially the worst "Cuban" bakery in s Florida by far.

10/10 Highly Recommend! I've been going to the Vicky Bakery on University for the past 4 years -- and without a doubt, it is the best Vicky location. The quality of the food, the service, and the attention to customer care here truly stand out. My job requires a lot of driving, so I often visit different Vicky Bakery locations depending on where I am. While the overall brand is great, I've found that not all locations are consistent -- except this one. If I had to choose one spot that delivers a great experience every single time, it would be the University location across from Nova. And I can't leave out the coffee! The café con leche here is the best, thanks to Lisette -- an amazing barista who always greets me with a warm smile and cheerful conversation. The coffee is a perfect start to my day every time. Highly recommend this location -- 10/10!

Main reason for my rating is because of the service. It's not bad, it's just never done with a smile. I've gone during the week, weekends, early mornings and afternoons, and it's always the same - I feel like I'm bothering whoever takes my order. So, I stopped expecting the friendly energy, and just keep going back for the coffee, food and pastries. They are your typical Cuban bakery quality; delicious and hit the spot! The jam croquettas and guava and cheese pastries are my go to. If you're good with a quick, friendly-less interaction, for some fire Cuban treats, this is your place. A little side note, I just read some of the lesser reviews and maybe you should check them out before you go to be sure this place is for you.

We come here a lot and this morning we got breakfast to go. They called my name and handed me my bag of food, but when I got home I noticed I was MISSING a part of my order. I had to drive 30 mins to pick it up, when I did arrive there was NO APOLOGY or anything at all for the mistake that was made. It wasn't even busy, and when I told them what happened and I just got blank stares and someone handed me my food. I expected better customer service and it's super DISSAPOINTING, there are lots of great Cuban bakeries around and we chose to spend our money here, but the lack of even acknowledging their mistake makes me not wanna come back. Driving and extra 30 mins on my day off is not how I wanted to start my day.

We chose the Duchess Tea Package, which included a pot of tea, soup or salad, and a three-tiered selection of sandwiches and desserts. You can also opt to order regular menu brunch items like eggs Benedict, crepes , or French toast . To make the birthday celebration extra special, I ordered desserts for my friends, which were beautifully presented while the staff sang "Happy Birthday." It was such a thoughtful touch. Ally's comfort Café has been a staple in Northwest Davie forever. *Now, Ally, moved away a little while ago and new owners took over. They kept the same recipes which made us hopeful that things would pretty much remain the same. But little by little all of the staff that had been there for years started leaving. I think there's only a couple of the longtime staff left. We'll get back to the staff in a moment. My wife and I go to Ally's every Saturday morning. We go there have a great breakfast and then go to the Publix next-door to do our weekly shopping. There's obviously going to be hiccups when new owners take over a restaurant. We totally understand this. But some things are just not improving. They open at 8 AM on Saturdays. But, between 8 and 9 AM there's only one waitress and one bus boy this didn't always used to be the case. They used to have the full staff and someone at the door to take names. He would also help out by getting you drinks or more coffee if you needed it. It worked really well for the small family restaurant. The new owners took over and at some point they decided they only needed limited staff between 8 and 9 AM on Saturdays. And of course, every Saturday my wife and I go in there. It gets packed and the waitress is running around like her head is cut off and the busboy is overwhelmed. This isn't a one time thing it has been constant since they made the staffing change. It's completely unfair to the waitress and busboy and it's also a complete turn off to patrons who have to wait sometimes up to 10 or 15 minutes just for the poor waitress to come and take their order this morning. A couple waited 20 minutes before their order was taken. Also, the owner/manager doesn't get there until almost 9 herself, which means there's no management in the restaurant to help with the register or put out "fires." It. Is. Not. Working. Ally's has been known for their specials for years. They always have amazing special pancakes and special French toast. It's one of the main reasons we still go there. It's our little weekly treat. Lately the specials have been very monotonous. Some sort of jelly put on some French toast or some sort of cream put on a pancake. Not real imaginative for instance, today was banana cream and chocolate pancakes. It was a dollop of banana cream on a chocolate pancake that had little taste. One could've added some fresh bananas, or maybe some whipped cream on top of that. Meanwhile, the special pancakes and special French toast are often made wrong by the staff. This happened this morning. It took them twice to get the pancakes right and three times to get the French toast, right. Again, this is not a one time occur occurrence. We never complain. But we were surprised to still see those items on the bill and not discounted at all, but that's OK. The thing that really drove me to write this review, is that I waited for more than 10 minutes to speak to the owner/manager on our way out. I thought the best way to handle our dissatisfaction would be to speak to her personally. She disappeared into the kitchen, and even after the waitress went to tell her we were waiting to speak with her, she was nowhere to be found. No I understand things come up in the kitchen, but she could've at least came out and said hey I know you're here, I'm dealing with a problem, I'll be right back. But we waited and waited and waited and nothing despite all of the above, that's what irked me the most. I will say this. The food is still very good. And the waitresses and buses are amazing. None of this is their fault. They should all be paid more in dealing with a kitchen that can't get right and an owner that can't seem to figure out good customer service. We will certainly give them another chance, it's part of our routine. But after biting my tongue, I had to let everyone know what was happening at one of our favorite spots in Broward County.
