have you ever been watching a movie and secretly (or not so secretly) wished that the movie was you and you were watching your own life? no, you are not pathetic. you just admire great characters and good plot points and kind of wish your life had that charismatic guy with the quirky side smile to swoop you off your feet. there is nothing wrong with that. and there is nothing wrong with going into a restuarant and cursing your own family for not opening an authentic greek place (despite the fact that you are not actually greek which would cause the whole 'authentic' idea to be null and void... but that's beside the point) complete with an owner whose name is the actual title of the restaurant, a doting wife, and two sons---one of whom looks like a baby cristiano ronaldo. again, there is nothing wrong with wanting their life. but since you can't actually steal that life (despite the numerous times you stand in front of your mirror practicing your greek accent---"put some windex on it!!!) you can settle for enjoying the fantastic hummas, falafel, and warm familial hospitality of victors (no apostrophe) kafe. read more

By far my favorite place to eat. Its healthy and hands down the best Greek food in San Diego. The price is very reasonable, lots of choices, and the servings are more then fair. Just give it a try, and I guarantee you will become a regular. read more

I am thoroughly pissed off. I normally think this place is ok, hence the 2 stars. Just brought back a Feta Melt, but what I really brought back was a flat bread with some tzatziki sauce. Barely any peppers, a little tomato, no onions, and oh yeh, some feta. Not melted, No taste. Here is how you do it: on a really hot grill, throw on some sliced onions, green and red peppers, a little S&P and some garlic and oregano in a little olive oil for a few minutes. Put inside a grilled flat bread, top with some cheese and serve with tzatziki sauce. Incredibly YUMMY, but not this. I ate it because I paid $6+2 tip for it. Sorry, Viktor's but I will never order this again. If you are ever in Phoenix go to Coney Island on Adams downtown, they know how to do this! read more

The customer service is great! I would be coming back just for the friendly atmosphere. As for the food, it was ok. Nothing special . I ordered the Spicy Gyro sandwich combo (wasnt spicy at all), and the Chicken Shawarma sandwich. The fries were ok, kinda soggy. The sandwich was literally pita, meat, onion and two slices of tomatos. The greek salad that came with the combo had no kalamata olives. This place is right by my work for which I'm infinitely thankful. Try the pepper chicken! It is tender, flavorful and delicious! It's not your typical strip mall restaurant so if you prefer bland, dry and cold food...maybe go elsewhere. I feel like the people there care about the food and want to make sure you enjoy your meal. The prices are very reasonable and the wait for your food is a quick 5 minutes or so (which is important if you don't have long for lunch break, like me). I love this place. What a find! read more

I seriously crave their chicken Schwarma. Everything they have at this little place is outstanding. These guys get to business making your food as you order it and it's damn good every time. It gets rather busy at lunch time because it's in a little strip mall near a business park and there's not much indoor seating. Outside there's a shared patio you can eat at as well. And it can be known to be closed on certain days of the weekend I believe because they don't get much clientele up that way. You must make time to try it when they're open. Victor's is my top choice for lunch on a regular basis. I usually eat there two or three time a week. I've settled on the Gyro Salad (Lg) as my favorite: both the salad dressing and Gyro meat in particular are amazing, but I love everything about it. I highly recommend this to anyone in the mood for something healthy but filling (for under $10!). The service is always great, with friendly staff and quick service. I usually get my food in 2-3 minutes, although I do make an effort to avoid the lunch rush. If you're tight on time I'd recommend showing up after 1pm to get in and out quickly. read more

In my opinion, Daphne's is low-quality overpriced food, and Luna Grill is a bit more pricey but still good. This place has really good quality lamb, chicken, and steak gyros -- all for a good price with serving of fries! I would definitely go back here, but i wish it had a better location. Today visit was awesome for me! I didn't realize this establishment closed at 6 and came in a few minutes before closing. I apologized and said I didn't realize they closed so early and offered to come back another day. Jordan and Jose were so amazing and said it was fine that they would accommodate me anyway. Decent food, fantastic iced tea, friendly faces, great selection for the carnivorous and vegetarian alike. Prices are within reason for the quality of the food. For $12, I got Victo combo #14 with an iced tea on the side. #14 is the falafel pita and the `Victo`is the Greek salad as the side. The regular combo option is slightly cheaper and comes with two sides (ie. rice pilaf, tossed salad, fries). The falafel was just right (not dry!!). I've tried several vegetarian items, but am told the meat is good too. This place is family run, which is always a plus. I'd take their food over Daphne`s any day. read more
