I took my 1986 XJ6 Jaguar for 2 repairs. I was a little leery about having to drive so far into San Antonio but it was worth the trip. A previous mechanic wanted to charge me well over $2,500 for repairs but I think they just wanted to replace items. (Lazy thinking in my honest opinion). My drivers side door-lock didn't work and the 1st Mechanic said they almost broke the window before trying the passenger side door. (Really, the passenger side door wasn't your first option?) At Victors they were concerned with fixing the car, not just replacing everything. They lubed up my drivers side door and it now works!! (It didn't need replacing.). I was expecting $1,500 (for 2 repairs) but it was only $750 (for 3). Victor's is honest. Victor's is fair. Victor's is very experienced. The Jaguar per hour rate is $90 and you get what you pay for. The last place I went too charged $100 per hour but had 20 year-old apprentice's. I saw a lot more seasoned mechanics at Victor's. If Victor's says they can service your premium car they can and WILL do an amazing job. I got a good deal on my Jag and I know it needs some TLC, Victor's is the place I will go. Test this place once with a small repair and you will see. Also, their shop area looks really secure. read more

Wow, I can't believe that I am the first person to review Victor's! Took my XK8 there many times during my three years in SA and can say without a doubt that this is the perfect Jaguar service center. Now, I'm not saying it was cheap, not by any stretch of the imagination. I really don't want to add up what I spent there, because it will make me very, very sad, but I do know that it would have been at least twice as much had I taken it to the dealership. The price you pay for owning a Jag. In fact, you don't own the Jag, she owns you. Customer service is not a lost art with Victor and his staff. They would often give me a lift downtown to work after I had dropped my car off. And if I returned and the car wasn't quite ready I would be invited for a drink at the bar in the shop! Victor also has annual Christmas parties for all his customers. Each time the car was washed after the service and kept very clean inside. The repairs were always completed on time and on budget. I've moved to Boston now and need to find another service center for my car. If I can find one half as good as Victors I will be delighted. read more

Well I've been going to a Great repair shop for years. But... because Victors was closer to my home in Olmos Park, I had them change my oil. Nice! They even took me to my store while they had my car. Then I had them change my EGR valve and hoses..Now Perfect Idle! Front Brakes Awesome! They have very very fair prices compared to the Stealership. Mr. Victor & Rose are so so sweet. Manuel worked on my car both times...puuurfect! If you have a vintage car or any Benz or Jag these guys are super savvy and super honest. read more

Potential customers! If you want robbed, than this is the place to go!!! THIS PLACE IS A JOKE!!!!! I wouldn't even give them a one star rating but I have to rate something in order to put up a review. They have taken complete advantage of a single woman who owns a Jaguar because I guess they think that a woman wouldn't know any better. I took my car in for a engine light message that keeps coming on among a few other things that I knew needed repaired like new brakes and headlights. I have asked them every time to find out about the warning light and please fix the problem. Well, my car has been there every single week for something that I believe they are doing to make me have to bring it back. They charged me thousands of dollars for repairs and have NEVER EVER fixed the original problem. They tell me that its something different every time and I pay thousands of dollars for the repair and it still is not fixed. They told me they will have to replace things to narrow it down to the main problem. WTF? Fix the problem. They are supposed to specialize in Jaguars and can't figure out how to fix this problem. I was told this last time that they don't know why that engine message keeps coming on. They tell me every time, well it must be this or it must be that and they replace those parts and then that wasn't the problem after all and I have to pay anyways. Meanwhile, I am out of thousands of dollars and my car is still broke down. It still has the same engine light message. It has never been fixed. They have charged me for everything else that popped up that they said was wrong but not the one problem I keep asking them to fix. My last visit was 1500 bucks and I was told that I would just have to put my car in neutral and pump the gas periodically for it to run right. That was their solution. That was their fix! That advice (no repair) cost me 1500 bucks and my car now runs worse than it ever did. What kind of fix is that? Really? Are you kidding me? What automotive place tells you that you'll just have to drive it and stick it in neutral and pump the gas? I want at least the $1500 for the last visit returned to me. Obviously, absolutely nothing was replaced or fixed. Nothing!!!! I don't believe they replaced anything on my car. It is way worse than it ever was. Its horrible that someone will take advantage because they think you must have money if you own a jaguar. Well guess what? I am completely broke now because of these people. I believe they sabotage things so you have to bring it back in and then charge an arm and leg for something they say is wrong but that never ends up being it. I still have the same original problem!!! I will never return to them. I am seeking legal counsel and if Victor's is reading this. I want a refund. You are wrong to do this to people. read more

We have been using Victor's for 13 years to repair and maintain our Jaguars. We have been happy overall with his work but unhappy with his attitude. We were more concerned with our cars leaving the shop repaired and maintained so we turned our emotions off with the poor attitude side of Victor. We brought my 8 month ago purchased used Jaguar XF Supercharged that we spent weeks finding (not many Supercharged around the country with low miles) to Victor's shop for an oil change and brake pad (only pads) change. We were called several hours later and were told that Victor took my car out for a test drive and totaled it. It was the other drivers fault so we were somewhat understanding until all of the work was thrown on us. Victor refused to answer my phone calls and let us know we would need to talk to his attorney. Meanwhile, we were offered an amount that was $5000-$6000 less than what we initially purchased the car 8 months ago for. We were hoping in good faith that he would fork up the rest to bring me ack to my position a week ago before I brought my car to him. But again he refused to speak with me or my husband. He has over the years invited us to his $15,000 yearly Christmas parties but has lost 2 customers of 13 years over a $5000 difference to purchase he exact car he totaled. I'm am disgusted and would think hard before bringing your high end foreign car to his shop. We have to now hire a lawyer and spend our time fixing this problem and another unknown length of time trying to find a replacement car. All while Victor can sit back and ignore us. read more
