When we returned, one staff member said the vegan burrito didn't come with salsa, though at that time we pointed out that it is listed on the menu as including salsa. Another staff member then provided a side of salsa and it looked strange so we opened it while we were still there and it was partially eaten & had broken off tortilla chips inside of the salsa container & areas you could see where someone had been scooping salsa with chips. We wanted to bring this to your attention, as it raised concerns around hygiene and trust. We were excited to try and expecting top notch food & service from everything we've seen about El Patron.

We tipped him based on his service, not the server's lack of it. What crossed the line was the manager coming out after the bill was paid to ask for more money for the server who didn't lift a finger for our table. As a group of mostly former service-industry workers, we were stunned by the audacity and unprofessionalism. This was my first visit to Las Casuelas and it will definitely be my last.
