I trusted Victory to sell and install what they called at the time a state of the art system 9 years ago. They installed a Navien high efficiency combi boiler (240-NCB) for $10,000. They touted that it would save me a lot of money. I added Victory's maintenance plan per their recommendation so that it could be properly maintained annually to ensure good operation for years to come. After only one year of service, I had the first repair to the system - on the coldest day of winter. This was fortunately covered under warranty. However, year after year, this thing required repair after repair including 2 domestic hot water heat exchangers, a 3 way switch, a couple of circulators and more! It ran me a couple of thousand in repairs over the years. Each time I asked why I was having so many issues, they told me they don't understand why this is happening. Finally, this year I had my annual maintenance performed as I do every year, and this time the service guy calls me down and shows me that the system is leaking carbon monoxide and gas! He proceeds to condemn the system. I told him the heat exchanger is still under warranty and the system is only 9 years old! He said, the system is dead and told me they typically only last 8-10 years!!! He refused to troubleshoot further. He simply unplugged it. He asked me if I ever had the system flushed. I asked him if they had been doing that as part of their annual maintenance. He said, we don't do that. I asked him, is it supposed to be fiushed? He said absolutely! I asked why it was not done as part of my maintenance. He told me that it would be extra. Yet it was never offered to me and therefore I assumed that all the necessarily maintenance was being performed as part of my maintenance plan. He then handed me the phone and there was a salesman on the line trying to sell me a new system! I told him that since I had heat pumps recently installed for AC that I would use it to heat my house as well. He proceeded to tell me that they are unreliable and will definitely break down. This is a very different story from what the Mass Save folks told me. I then asked him if he could just install a hot water heater for me as I no longer had hot water. He told me my chimney could not support a hot water heater - which is interesting as it used to vent my old furnace. I later got another plumber in who had no issue installing a hot water heater for me. All this to say that not only did Victory sell me a horrible system, they refused to try to fix it or work with the vendor to replace it. Instead they unplugged my system, leaving me with no heat or hot water and took the opportunity to try to sell me a new system with the same technology which would have set me up for more hassles and financial loss. Steer clear of this company!! They have no ethics and only care about their bottom line. read more

Don't waste your time. The day before a blizzard I woke up to a furnace that wasn't operating. My house was 50 degrees inside. Another HVAC contractor suggested I call Victory after he determined that my problem was beyond his capabilities. The Victory representative I spoke with told me, at 830 on a Friday morning, that the 1st available appointment was on Tuesday. I explained that I currently had no heat. She replied that all the earlier scheduled appointments were reserved for "contract customers." If she'd made an exception to this short-sighted scheduling "policy," I might have become a customer. The Best Overall! Wanted to share our great experience with Victory. First, they responded almost immediately on a Sunday and had my heater fixed in less than 24 hours. The office staff (Stephanie) is pleasant and very informative. Always kept us in the loop. Andrew , our tech, was respectful, knowledgeable, efficient and immaculate in his work. We moved into a house over the winter in 2020 and when we went to start our AC recently this summer we realized that the condenser was broken and we needed a new condenser and coils. I called a few places for quotes and Victory's quote was pretty much the same as other company's prices, but they use Bryant brand products which get great reviews. The person from Victory who came out to look at what the issues were and quote what work we would need done was very knowledgeable and friendly so I decided to go with them. They did a great job, and everyone working was professional and friendly throughout the entire process. The new AC works great and the install work looks great. I'll definitely call Victory again for any future HVAC work and maintenance and would recommend them to anyone. read more

I had someone come out to 'diagnose' and 'fix' an issue. When I arrived at home, I tested it myself. To my great surprise, the pump is rattling/clicking, AND the relay box is clicking, AND there is no heat in the zone now. So, not only is this not resolved, but this is now worse than before. Not only is my issue not resolved, now I have NO HEAT in that zone (where my 1 year old sleeps), AND I have a loud clicking noise in my mother in law's bedroom. I called the emergency number and they paged the manager on duty (Brandon). When Brandon called me, he was dismissive, and did not seem to be concerned with helping. He explained that we would have to wait till Monday. When I said this was not acceptable and I needed this resolved now, he suggested that a technician could come to the house tomorrow (Saturday), because no one was available now. I then told Brandon that it doesn't make sense to me that someone from Victory can't come to resolve it now, and that I have to cancel my weekend plans in order to solve this. Brandon then raised his voice and said to me: "First of all, sh*t happens, and second of all, don't be pointing fingers and saying this is unacceptable when there could be a problem with your system". This is utterly unacceptable. I KNOW there's a problem with my system. This is why I called Victory, the "experts" to diagnose and fix it. Not only did victory not fix it... they didn't even diagnose it correctly. To make it worse, Brandon also used profanity and insulted me on the phone. I replied to Brandon calmly and said "Brandon, I won't be requiring any services from Victory any longer". 1 star is too much. This is not 'poor' service. Poor, poor service! We had a tech come out 3 X to repair a leak in kitchen ceiling dripping down from upstairs bathroom. They took apart toilet & shower faucets and couldn't figure out the exact issue. We were charged several hundred $ each time and STILL leaking! Finally had our condo maintenance "handyman" come out to repair and noticed a crack in pipe under the toilet. He fixed but we had to pay again! Victory, train your employees!!!! read more

We contacted Victory in May to have them service our Mitsubishi mini-split units and their first available appointment was July 3rd, so we booked it. They called my husband on June 30 (or maybe July 1) to reschedule, and they didn't have any availability until September! Our hydro-air unit died leaving us with no AC in the middle of the hottest summer I can remember. Lovely. We got a few quotes for a new system and decided to go with Victory. Jim came right out to our home and got us a quote that day. He took the time to explain all the various options and didn't try to upsell anything. He was respectful and friendly. The scheduler Jen knew that we didn't have AC, so when an earlier spot opened up, she got us on the schedule even earlier than anticipated. It was WELL appreciated during a heat wave! The installation team was fantastic! They worked in our attic during one of the hottest days of the year without complaint. They were polite, clean, well spoken, and worked hard to get our system running. They clearly knew what they were doing and worked well as a team to get us cooled off. We previously had another company do some work on our old system and they left our attic a mess. Victory was clean and professional, exactly what you would hope for. We had to replace a few valves that were stuck shut because of hard water and the gentleman who came over to do the job was very nice and covid compliant but the bill of close to 1K for 3 valves that cost 10 bucks at a hardware store. I had a buderus boiler/hw system that I could not get other plumbing companies to figure out what was wrong (3service calls from the other company that actually installed it). Brian from Victory showed up, diagnosed it within 15 minutes, got it working and identified a part that needed replacing. I hadn't heard back from him on the quote for that part and called the main office 3 days later. They called me back immediately, sent the quote within 15min, and then called back to ensure I got it and asked if I wanted to move forward because they could go to the warehouse to pick up the part asap so they could install next day (Sat) morning. And because they hadn't given me the quote right away and I had to call in, they did the installation for free. Joe just showed up, installed it and had it running in 30min. We had been contemplating having mini split AC units installed in our older home for several years. We had spoken to a couple of local smaller companies, but they didnt seem to understand the complexity involved; we were very particular that we wanted everything to be aesthetically appealing, as well as functional. From my very first call to schedule an appoinment for a consult, to the final installation, this company was one of the most professional companies I have ever dealt with. They put us on the schedule and stuck to every time line that they proposed. All employees were professional and courteous. Jarod was the lead on our project which took four days. He made sure his workers completed the job to our expectaions; each day they cleaned up and we barely knew they had been there. At the end of the project, Jarod told me there would be someone else doing a follow up in a few days to test everything and to be sure it was all operating efficiently. Called back and told them they were a good company but now they are not. A few min later someone called my cell and just started talking. When she paused I started explaining what happened she just started speaking over me and wouldn't listen. Ended up hanging up. I received a phone call from someone stating they were a manager. The person said they read my post on google and would like to fix the issue. He further stated he would like to send his best tech the next day. I agreed. The "Best" tech showed right on time. He provided a quote of almost $900. Hmmm. Good thing I had another company already scheduled to come out and give me a quote. That company provided a quote of $300.00. Of course I got my heating unit fixed by the other company. so you be the judge on what you think just happened to me and if you want to deal with this company in the future or not. We had Central Air installed a few years back by Victory, they were excellent. So I called them to do some plumbing work on a bathroom update. I had to correct a number of things and was charged a very large amount of $$. (paid for travel time both ways, breaks, lunch, and trainee, the main plumber left for 2 hrs to get parts and left the trainee to stand around, why not send the trainee??) They sent a trainee that we had to pay for, cigarette brakes every 30 minutes. I would not recommend for any plumbing work. So very disappointed with the company. I had to fix a pipe alignment, angle to a drain pipe (0 Deg), and the pipe hangers were attached to the studs so that the plasterboard would sit on the hangers. Also, no water added to the new shower trap so gasses were coming into the house. Not happy at all. I am not one to complain so take heed to this warning. read more

Feeling frustrated with this company. Purchased a Mitsubishi ductless Heating & AC unit from them about 2 years back. Been running fine till this summer, and the unit constantly shuts down at least once a week. A service lady came out the first time and said she had tighten a lose hose and was running fine Two days later, the unit died again. I called the office and they said they will need to order a computer board to replace, and I won't be charged because it's under warranty. They came and replaced the new board, but it still died within two days again. Now the kicker is that this time I have to pay @$824 for a 2nd computer board replacement, "not under warranty due to power outage/blackout!" Sidenote: the electrical system at my home has not be altered, added or changed in anyway since the unit was installed. I suspect they are trying to squirm themselves out of this situation by passing the buck to the customer, instead of facing the reality that the "Mitsubishi unit" could be a piece of crap! Stand behind the product your selling, either fix it or replace the whole entire unit. Don't blame it on something else to make an extra buck. BBB is next! read more

Don't do it. Call somebody else. No more because I'm still sitting here with a broken heater. I'll say I've used them before too install a 2 similar units at work and it was a freaking hassle to get them installed correctly, but it got done, eventually, because I have close family who works there. So I called them to come fix a BROKEN unit at my house that they had a sticker on and I can only assume they installed. After 3 messages and about 6 weeks I get a nice person on the phone who books my appointment FOR A REPAIR. She quotes me a price of 99 per hour plus parts or something like that. The dude shows up and tells me it's 240 flat and before he does any thing and that I need to sign a maintenance contract and maintenence will be free. I sign it. He gets to work cleans some filters etc. I fill him in on the situation, it isn't working. He pretty much tells me there's nothing he can do, and he didn't have the proper tools, and besides he's there for a maintenence call. WTF. You come to fix a thing and don't bring tools! He washes the filters and leaves with the heater still broken. So now I'm out 240 and still no heater. After fuming for a few days I decide to call the office and ask WTH. A fella calls to me back and tells me this unit didn't make heat (its called a frikkin heat pump and strangely it worked last year) but it can't be repaired during the winter anyways. Then he tells me I was over charged by the tech and he's gonna give me 60 bucks back of my 240. Ummmmm he didn't do anything I want it all back. After a few minutes of a price haggling circle jerk I got frustrated and hung up. I found a guy with a better price who isn't afraid of the cold. i had 3 techs come out. the last tech came Xavier and told me he would order a part on Saturday. The following Monday and Tuesday I did not hear from anyone and called thinking the part was ordered On Wednesday. I got a call back from the tech and he said he talked to his supervisor and thought the part would not be advisable. So why couldn't they have told me on Monday? Then I asked to speak with his supervisor and he said he will call back. that was Wednesday. it is Friday in middle December and no one called to follow up. No heat in over 2 weeks. so far I paid alot and would have liked a call back to discuss options. I asked to speak to the owner and was told he was no longer there yet his name in late November was on a city permit to do work at the chestnut hill mall. One particular tech Ruth was very good but unfortunately that did not fix the issue. She is a good communicator whereas the guys should follow her lead. read more

Try asking whoever you buy oil from." I CONFIRMED that I had the right number. They must like A/C work but no sign of why they have "heating" in the name. Put them in some other category. Called because my wife and I are interested in getting a propane powered tankless water heater to save some money. I already called my oil company and another private company to get quotes on the appliance as well as the cost of installation. These guys were close and had pretty good ratings so I gave them a call. the website says "Schedule service or get a FREE QUOTE". That however is a lie. When I spoke to the sales department, they stated that having someone come out to give me a quote on the work would cost $99. Huh? what happened to the free quote? "well, if you decide to go with us we have the ability to waive the fee". So if you're like $500 more expensive than someone offering the same service, I either go with you or lose $100? Sorry Victory but that's garbage. Maybe you got burnt by some people just trying to use you for a quote to lowball someone else, but this policy is ridiculous. pic of the website for proof. Their short-sighted repair failed, they refused a refund, and then they tried to "upsell" us to buy a new system. Our home a/c system was making noises from the compressor and working poorly, and then it stopped. We called Victory Heating and A/C to investigate. Their technician Gohar F. came out and got the compressor to run. Then told my wife he fixed the system. She told Gohar she wasn't sure the repair was right because although the system was running again it was still making the same bad noise as before. Gohar said if we felt it wasn't working as well as we wanted they would come back and look at it again. My wife felt she had no choice at the point but to sign the work authorization - after the fact. Within three days the system got steadily weaker then then stopped again. We called Victory and Gohar came back out. He said the compressor had burned itself out and we needed a new one. He could apply the charge for the earlier repair to the new system cost. We went to another contractor for the new system. Their technician came out and reported someone had put in a "jumping" capacitor, forcing the weak compressor to run. This new part didn't actually fix anything. We went back to Victory to request a refund - their "repair" didn't work. They repeated their offer to apply it as a credit on a new system. When I told them I had already gone with another vendor I got switched to Kitty Mulakis. She seemed to be acting as their collections boss. Her basic position was that my wife signed their repair authorization so that was that - we had to pay - regardless of how the repair had turned out. I calmly and clearly stated the essential points of our position - Goahr decided to do what he did - my wife didn't direct him to jump anything. Their repair didn't work. Kitty didn't seem to care - she simply reiterated she had my wife's signature so we had to pay. After 7 months of struggles we finally spoke with Todd Cook the general manager at Victory, He cleared the charges and resolved the issue in our favor. Thank you Todd. read more

I emailed Victory very early in the morning when my furnace decided to conk-out on the coldest day of the year (so far, in November). They called me back by 8:30 a.m., and someone was out to fix it by 3:00 p.m. I was unable to be there when the technician showed up, but my Mom was. He was very professional, nice, and most importantly, honest. He gave us a very fair quote to fix the issue and was done in about an hour. They were so awesome that we hired them the week after to install a new hot water heater. I worked with Mike during the sale, and he was spectacular. He gave me his honest opinions about the different options and made the whole process much less stressful than it could have been. The installers came out on time replaced the old hot water heater, and quickly installed the new one. Needless to say, I've found a HVAC company that I can trust and rely on for the life of my home. read more

Never ever ever ever go with them!!, i had my hvac service done, basic plan, they skipped the important things that were there in the plan, they skipped the condenser pump cleaning, clean and flush drain lines and other stuff, if you had already booked an appointment, please make sure they do everything that is said in their reference booklet ((https://online.flippingbook.com/view/649855/4/). the technician who came was very polite in the beginning and said he will rinse the condenser fan because "I AM A GOOD GUY!!" LOL!, and when i asked him that he skipped many things , he called his supervisor he seems to be pissed off, he came back and removed the condenser pump, drained it, dint even care to rinse it, it was really dirty and clearly visible, i did it myself. and also he did not fix the pump back correctly, its not aligned properly. During the last big rain storm our 10 year old sump pump stopped working. Luckily we had a backup pump installed, but the water was still creeping up and the basement was in danger of flooding. We called Victory HVAC at 11pm and got there answering service. Within a very short time Sean called us back and said they would be at the house first thing tomorrow morning. The next day the plumbing technician came and installed a new pump for a very reasonable price and we no longer have to worry about basement flooding. During the last 7 days of 90 degree temps, my a/c unit decided to stop working...on a Friday night, of course. I called Victory, who was not my usual a/c contractor, and they had someone here the next day by 5pm. Our serviceman, Al, was very personable and knowledgeable and after a few short minutes, replaced our capacitor and we were up and running!! Victory's customer service was top notch from my initial call to the day after the unit was fixed, when I received a call around 7:00am to make sure someone came and took care of the issue. Looks like things at this business are starting to go downhill. Don't expect callbacks, follow-ups, or any attempt at customer service. We had our entire A/C unit replaced this June. My sales rep. was, and continues to be, very responsive and professional. Everyone else I have spoken to has been very difficult to deal with, when I can actually get them on the phone. We thought it might have been an electrical issue, but since the unit was brand new, we wanted Victory to verify everything had been installed correctly before we called an electrician (at an additional expense). After 3 ignored phone calls and a full week after reporting the problem, they sent a service tech out. When I asked why it took so long to get someone to come out I was told, "everyone was very busy;" that's also the reasons why no one was able to call me back. I explained that the company basically abandoned one of their newest customers, during a heatwave no less, and maybe they should work on that. The issue turned out to be electrical, and would have been an easy fix if someone just came out to look at the unit and confirm it was ok. Instead, we had a brand new $5,000 box sitting outside for over a week that was not producing cool air. Later I was told "someone had dropped the ball," and they were acknowledging that my family was put in a rather uncomfortable situation, but after asking several staff members if we could get any type of discount for the trouble that was caused - no response. Instead I got 2 bills in the mail asking us to pay the balance due. I reached out to someone to see if anyone was going to actually address my concerns, didn't hear back for over a month. When I was finally contacted, I was offered free service appointments for 3 years, a supposed $700 value. Two weeks later I received a write-up of the new service agreement, and it doesn't actually state what was discussed on the phone. I'm concerned that when we do have a service appointment that the "new" agreement will not be acknowledged, since the written wording is very vague and does not point out that we will be receiving free service appointments. This whole ordeal started in June and it's now September. I'm honestly sick of reaching out to them to get them to do something they should be doing already - providing actual service to their customers. The unit we have is working wonderfully now, but I am so disappointed in the lack of response and ownership over the issues we've gone through. I am very uncomfortable that the service agreement requires Victory provided service appointments, as I have no faith in their follow-up services, and would rather not deal with this company ever again. Bottom line, I feel like we were swindled by a sales rep. who made promises his company can't keep - which, sadly, is basic customer service. At this point I'm going to pay the balance bill and hope nothing happens to our unit until after the service contract expires. read more

We called Victory to fix the heat/air thermostat. We called on Wednesday and a service man arrived on Thursday. Can you imagine more prompt service!!! Chris B was terrific! He was very professional and friendly. In addition to addressing the thermostat issue we wanted him to replace it with the NEST thermostat. He had never installed the NEST and did so with great ease and success. He cleaned up, tested the thermostat before he left. I could not have been more pleased. Great service techs, but to call their prices highway robbery is being polite. They also seem to have an issue communicating with the customer. They came out overnight when my heat stopped working and unfortunately there was nothing they could do, I had a seized draft inducer. The service tech was great, he troubleshot the issue and let me know that they would need to replace the motor. He said I would be getting a call back first thing the next morning letting me know if they can get the part, and if so, when they could install it. After not hearing from anyone I decided to call at 10am, the manager I needed to speak to was not available so I left a voicemail. Still no word by 12pm, so I called back. The person I needed to speak to was not available again, so another voicemail. At this point I still did not have heat and had no idea what my status with Victory was, so I called another contractor. The new company told me they could get the part, that they would be at my house in 3 hours, and what the cost would be ($350). When I finally heard back from Victory, they told me they could get the draft inducer motor and get it installed for $900.00. This is a $200 part and takes all of 10 minutes to install, it is literally 5 screws and a press on rubber tube. I understand there is a markup and they need to make money, but I am not sure why they decided they needed to make it all from me. I do not know if they just didn't want the job, or worse, they new I was desperate because there was no heat in my house. VERY HIGH PRICES AND POOR QUALITY WORK. About a year ago, someone recommended Victory to me to fix the motor in my heating unit. They quoted a very high price but I needed it fixed so let them do it. After the job was done, within a few days the unit was not working. The technician came out again and made fixes. After a few more days, it did not work again, so they came out and did more fixes. After 8 months, it stopped working again and they said it was out of warranty and charged me $250 to fix it again - this was a new motor (supposedly). The technicians were pleasant each time they came but clearly could not install things right the first time. I wasted so much time having them come back over and over again. And the $250 charge just after the warranty ended was the icing on the cake. I recently had another episode with this company which prompted me to write this review. I am a long time customer of Victor HVAC over 10 years at this point from when we used their service as a company I worked for and now as a home owner they have already saved me hundreds of dollars. I would give them 10 stars if I could! When I originally worked with them my contact person was Kitty (She has since retired) one of the sweetest funniest people on the planet but wow! They said they would come 2:30pm the next day. I get a call on the day of and they.said they need to have a 1-3 pm window. I said i made an arrangement for someone to be there at 2:30pm and they said that doesnt exist. I told them i work and I have no heat. The lady who answers the phone wasn't accommodating and very rude. I went with another company. read more

Victory installed new hot water, central air and Carrier furnace in October 2010. Unfortunately the furnace has broken down twice for the same issue. Victory is standing by the product and has been responsive. The service techs are pleasant and thorough. read more
