Rich and tasty coffee, the lattes are always so flavorful and never milky (my pet peeve). All of the breads and croissants are fresh and hefty portion sizes too! My only tiff about this place is the cleanliness sometimes. The bathrooms are always occupied by homeless people cleaning themselves up and it makes me a little less likely to want to sit for a while and work or enjoy my beverage. But it's not dirty or gross at all inside, it's very pleasant to sit and lots of tables! I'm more likely to buy my drink togo but always enjoy what I purchase :) read more

Just a great coffee spot. Less than a minute's walk from a certain large coffee brand's flashy reserve roastery, Victrola offers something a little different. Started in 2000, they now have four locations across Seattle. They roast their own coffee locally, source it ethically, and are committed to making it delicious. I had a latte and it was, indeed, delicious. Their name is inspired by a 1920s sonograph. I'm not sure I get a 20s vibe from this location, but it does have a really neat vibe. The exposed brick, the high ceilings. the large coffee tree, the big wooden tables... I like it. (Oh wait! I just looked it up - this location is in a "1920s auto row building" - cool!) Website also says they host free coffee cupping classes every so often - "part ritual, part mini class." Check it out! We initially planned to stop by the Starbucks Reserve before heading out of the city. However, there was a line that was just ridiculously long and we were on a tight schedule. We decided to walk up the street and happened to see Victrola Coffee Roasters and randomly decided to pop in. Let me tell you, I am so glad we did! Upon walking in, I just really loved the whole vibe of the shop. The brick walls, the wood, everything -- it was totally my jam. This shop is complete with a roastery, training facility, and cupping room -- a truly beautiful space to enjoy a cup of joe. I went with my usual, mocha; this time hot since it was a bit chilly in the morning. We also ordered breakfast sandwiches. It wasn't before long that we got our orders. One sip of my mocha and WOW, this was honestly THE BEST coffee that I had on our whole trip to Seattle. The flavors were deep, unique, and just incredibly delicious. The breakfast sandwiches were also warm and tasty, especially their sourdough bread which had the perfect texture and chew. We were very impressed and so glad to have randomly ended up at Victrola. This is my favorite coffee shop of all time. As someone who grew up and went to school in the Seattle area, I always found myself coming back. Now that I live in LA, I have stopped by on each of my visits home. The coffee is extremely high quality and you cannot go wrong with whatever it is that you decide to order. Personally, I get the latte 98% of the time because it is oh so good. In fact, the lattes that are made here single-handedly converted me from the exclusive flavored latte drinker to the occasional flavored latte drinker. I do not have to add any syrup or sugar to my drinks here. I'm not sure what it is, but keep doing it Victrola! All of the baristas that I have ordered from have been very nice and personable. It's definitely one of the reasons that I keep coming back. Parking is available within the general vicinity. If you get lucky, there are free spots in the residential areas! read more

This is one of my go to spots for coffee. They make a delicious cortado. A cortado is an espresso shot with just a tad bit of milk. The baristas have not done me wrong so far. Holy crap this is an exceptional latte. I saw some post where some person on yelp said this was the best coffee they have ever had ... and since I'm a coffee snob who travels the USA going to hundreds of coffee shops over the last 6 years I thought to myself, oh yeah really? We'll see about that. Well the short-haired girl working the counter by herself pulled the shots did an amazing job. It looked so good I didn't even bother grabbing a lid. Everything perfect. fresh roasted beans make such a huge difference and when somebody knows what they're doing it's still not enough. You also have to dial in your grind your temperatures your pressure and go practice hundreds of steamed milk pours to get it right. including the latte art. And then consistency is another problem altogether which I can't speak to you because this was my first time here. I won't go so far as saying this is the best cup I've ever had but wow this place takes their craft to the next level. Congratulations on your success and all these reviews are very well earned. Not always the case on Yelp but this place on Pike Street is worth a visit if you're looking for one of the best lattes on the west coast. I even had a quad shot .. that is a little harder to keep tasting this great. Bravo thank you for making my day.
