Service 5/5 Ambiance 4/5 Food 5/5 Great hole in the wall UES side thai spot! Yes, Upthai / Thep have a much nicer ambiance (probably cocktails too), but it depends on what you are in the mood for. Food is on par and/or better so it's perfect if you're just looking for something quick & delicious. Ordered & would order these all again: Duck Roll - loved that this was wrapped in roti, although it felt like it should have come with sauce Chicken Satay - moist, flavorful. Pad See Ew w/ Vegetable + Massaman Curry w/ Chicken - both tasted fresh / homemade

Stopped by Marwin Thai for lunch and it was so good! Per other people's recs, we got the curry puffs to start and they were delicious. The pastry was so flaky and crispy and the filling was bursting with flavor. I got a small Tom Kha soup with chicken and it was a bowl of creamy, coconuty and savory goodness. My partner got the fried chicken curry and the portion was huge and flavoring was really good as well! Everything was so flavorful. Service was fast and attentive. It's a fairly small space so get there early! There was a few people who they couldn't seat because it was already full. That said, I'd highly recommend coming here if you're in the area!

I was craving some duck and the broth was SO flavorful. The Thai tea was also great! Would definitely recommend

    Fried Chicken Curry Lunch

Was looking for a Thai cuisine around the area and found this place. Figured, I'd check it out as the fried chicken curry looks quite appetizing. Upon heading in I found the place to have an endearing ambience despite having a small space, the staff service was excellent, staff was very friendly, helpful, and sweet. Whilst, the food did not disappoint. Would definitely be back!

This place is fairly new. You can tell by the decor and atmosphere. Even the bathroom is new and well taken care of. This restaurant is a bit tight in the seating, and you can't host a large group here, or rather I don't advise it. It's more for small parties - 4 people or less. It was quite interesting how there was only one person who was serving, bussing, answering the phones, etc.... I give her mad props. She had a cap on that said, "Call me baby!". That was quite hilarious. I was wondering why ppl were calling her baby. On to the food items that were ordered, the duck wraps, which sounded unique and tasted it too. It supposedly had the chefs sauce in it, but I needed hot sauce with it as well. The pan seared roti wrapping was a good touch. I also got the seafood noodle dish. It had two spice levels, which meant that it was fairly spicy. The coconut fried ice cream was alright. It took a while to eat as it was quite frozen in place.

A lovely and cozy place to enjoy Thai food in upper east side! Tom Yum soup. Sour, spicy, savory... a complex and vibrant blend of flavors that didn't hold back, awakening your palate immediately. The shrimp version came with a generous amount of bouncy shrimps! Love it! Tamarind duck. Golden brown duck coated with sweet and sour tamarind sauce. The duck was perfectly crispy! Papaya salad. A burst of multiple flavors and textures! Fresh papaya, crunchy peanuts, aromatic herbs, juicy cherry tomatoes... so refreshing and satisfying Beef stew: A meaty and hearty dish that satisfies the soul! The beef, simmered to tender perfection, easily pulls apart with each bite, while the flavor remains rich without being overwhelmingly heavy. Khao soy. Tender chicken bathed in a creamy coconut curry broth, served over soft egg noodles and topped with crunchy fried noodles and fresh herbs, truly a bowl of delights!

Went here with my dear friend after a beautiful sound bath at the Ohm Center and couldn't have been more pleased. Everything from the waitress' infectious smile to the delectable food was so in point. Curry puffs were fantastic, perfectly seasoned and oh so satisfying. Curry puffs are my barometer for which I judge a Thai restaurant and these curry puffs exceeded my expectations. I even love saying curry puffs and I knew based on these delightful pillowy pockets of heaven, everything else would be just as delicious and it was! I devoured my perfectly cooked and seasoned pad se ew and my friend thoroughly enjoyed her basil fried rice. Would definitely return.

This place is really pretty inside. The ambiance is really glam chic and cute. We walked in and were greeted and seated right away. We ordered the Thai iced tea, Thai iced coffee, and lychee lemonade. I had the lychee lemonade and it was refreshing, more hints of lemonade than lychee. Our order of the creamy Tom yum soup came in and it was the bet Tom yum soup I've ever had. It had shrimp, mussels, and other seafood in an aromatic soup which was absolutely delicious! We also ordered the noble duck curry which came with white rice and we ordered vegetable basil rice also. The basil rice was very delicious and the duck I would say was pretty good. It looked beautiful and the curry was tasty. It was interesting how they incorporated lychee. The duck was cooked well, but perhaps I'm not the biggest fan or duck so I can't say too much but it was a tasty dish. This place is a 5 for hospitality, soup, and ambiance. Again the soup was the best I've had and the basil fried rice was top notch!

Came here for lunch and everything was very good. The green curry was plentiful and mild spicy. Highly recommend for casual lunch as the place is very very small.

Not all midtown restaurants stay open past 10, and I was relieved to find their kitchen going strong at that hour, as well as their dining space, which was full. Turned out it was for good reason because their food was delicious. My friend and I were hoping to eat at a restaurant nearby specializing in crab, but they closed much earlier. Fortunately for us, SaiTong's menu had plenty of crab on it, and we decided to double up and make each of our entree's a crab one. The black spaghetti crab curry and crab curry noodles advertised themselves as being very different dishes in both presentation and ingredients but ended up tasting kind of similar. One was topped with deep fried crab and used a different type of noodle than the other, but the sauces were so similar. This is not to say that they didn't taste good, but I would've preferred more variance. I'm glad we got an order of papaya salad to cut the richness of the other dishes, and I also appreciated it had a nice level of heat in it. Our servers were really friendly without being overbearing, and let us linger for a bit even after we paid the bill, as it was their last seating for the evening. There are so many excellent Thai restaurants in the city and I'd put SaiTong firmly in the category of perfectly solid spots to get your Thai fix, with some special dishes on the chef's menu worth checking out.
