After reading previous reviews, my wife and I decided to give the place a try. Considering it was a weekday and there were few dinners, we anticipated great food and service.........we were so wrong. The service was poorly executed and the food was just as bad. My salmon was dry and flavorless and my wife had a pasta dish that was extremely salty. I wanted to mention both issues to the staff, but other than having a check dropped off at the table, nobody had time to check on our satisfaction. Add to the poor food and service was the unprofessional atmosphere in which two employees were having a argument. Needless to say we cannot recommend the establishment based on our experiences. read more

Five of us dined here New Year's day for dinner after learning that our original choice was closed for the holiday. Also, a neighbor had recommended Villa Vito. When we entered the restaurant there wasn't anyone at the hostess station. We noticed a few employees to the side gathered together in discussion. The dining room was quite busy and loud with what appeared to be a large party. After a few minutes of waiting a pleasant young woman appeared from the upstairs to greet us. She informed us that our reserved table was ready on the second level. The room was spacious and warmly decorated. We waited patiently for a short period for a few of the staff to pull tables together before we were seated. Our server soon arrived to offer menus and attend to our wine. During our visit she was helpful yet devoid of any sense of an outgoing personality. She, similar to other staff members we encountered during the evening, appeared almost timid as if new to the job. None of us ordered appetizers. Our entrees arrived in a reasonable amount of time and all were quite enjoyable. We particularly appreciated that the sauces were on the light side and not at all gloppy or off-putting. Other than the small lobster tail in one of the choices that was over cooked and tough, we were all pleased with our food, though the tiramisu for desert was uninspired. Overall we had a nice experience that was reasonably priced. read more

Yes, as good as it gets. Great food, innovative menu, awesome service, family owned and operated with the chef owner and his son Vito on the premises. BYOB which is nice too. Cane be a little loud sometimes but not a deal breaker. Intimate setting inside, kind of tucked away on the outside. Neighbors recommended and we have not been disappointed. Going to do their Tour of Italy next time. read more

We just had a baby shower here in the upstairs room (about 45 ladies and 20 men downstairs) and were very impressed with everything provided by the restaurant. Really nice room decorations, awesome service, and great authentic Italian food. A big thank you to Frederico and team for their extra level of attention to detail and care. It is really nice to be able to relax and trust someone to handle the details at an event and you can definitely do that at Villa Vito! We have also eaten there as a couple and enjoyed the service and food, would highly recommend to everyone. read more

Good food and nice ambiance. Nothing you'd need to run to and tell all your friends, but a nice quality Italian place.

Usually New Year eve dinners at restaurants are so-so to horrible. We went to Villa Vito and had a great experience. The food was excellent, fried calamari for appetizer and grilled lamb chops for main course. The service was also excellent, friendly and prompt. My family and I went here and some things were very good. Others, not so good. After reading reviews, we decided to try the Calamari Villa Vito. The sauce it came in was delicious, but truly, the calamari were very overcooked. My young son tried to cut one and it shot across the room. The lobster ravioli was very good, the sauce delicious, but the 3 shrimp that also came on the plate were chewy and overcooked. Both kids loved the chicken parmigiana. My husband had the red snapper and again, the seafood was overcooked. He loved the sauce that it came in. We will try this restaurant again, just try some different dishes. read more

My favorite restaurant! The staff is wonderful, the owner greets us nearly every time we've been there, the food is awesome, and we can even bring our own wine! The atmosphere overlooking the pond is very pretty as well. We've been there about a dozen times now and the service and food has been spot on each and every time! If you love Italian food with fresh seafood, you need to try this place! You won't be disappointed! read more

Just discovered this new hidden restaurant when coming to visit family out of town and was immediately impressed. Only stopped in to grab a take out menu and get a feel for the place and food. Right off the bat a very friendly hostess, greeted us and provided us with a menu to look at and gave us great information on this family business. She even introduced us to the manager/owner Villa VITO himself! He told us about the authentic Italian food and told us to come back, and we definitely will. Also I should mention that I had to catch the hostesses name, Isabella. She told us to call her and make a reservation and looked forward to seeing us, beautiful customer service. Will give an updated review after eating here, but so far things are looking great for this place! read more

Was hoping for more. I can appreciate slow service, but usually the quality of the food makes up for the slow service. This was not the case. Cold, or barely warm food is unappealing. Two of us had a veal dish, and the accompanying side was the vegetable of the day, potatoes and carrots. This amounted to 2 potato wedges (half a potato) and 2 carrot sticks (not even one carrot's worth) which at some point in time had been slightly roasted, all drizzled with a balsamic glaze, and were barely warm when served, not very interesting or enjoyable. It appeared that they attempted to enhance the flavors of the veal dish with a heavy buttery sauce, didn't really work. I've had much better veal. Another friend had linguine allo scoglio, barely warm, and very bland tasting, too. If the service is slow due to being prepared to order, shouldn't the food be better? Shouldn't it be hot? Are people really satisfied with average to below average food? Maybe, the wine makes everything better? I know we brought good wine with us. Oh, and the salad was boring, too, chopped romaine with a few slices of red onion, a few chopped cherry tomatoes and croutons. You can get this quality at most local pizza joints. Why spend more? I don't usually write reviews because I know it is hard to run a Resturant and be consistent every time. Everyone has their own tastes and opinions. But it seems like the Cook was not evening trying last night. (You will notice that I did not use the word Chef. The food was so sub par I will not give the person preparing the food the honor of that title.) I had a seafood dish off the main menu it had NO flavor, is LUKE warm and all the seafood was rubbery. Our waiter was nice but very very green. He cleared our main dishes off but never came back to clear the other dishes. A big pet peeve of mine. There were other things about his service I could mention but if the food had been even good I would not be writing this review about a green waiter. Because I can tolerate so so service. For me it is all about the food. The high point was my friends and the wine we drank. The desert tray was pathetic looking as a side note. I will not be going back ever again. read more

We were seated by the bar and the owner/manager talked loudly in Italian with 2 patron waiting for take out - though we were told they did NOT allow take out. Service was SLOW! The house balsamic vinaigrette was totally bland - just tasted like oil soaking limp greens. The veal Marsala was coated with raw flour and swimming in a pool of greasy liquid - NOT a demi glace as advertised. My husband's crab imperial stuff shrimp with risotto was bland, the crab strong, and the risotto thick, gummy, and inedible. It took 20 minutes for the waitress to return (after we asked a bus boy to get her) to try to return inedible veal dish; then was treated with disgust when I just wanted the octopus appetizer. Another 15 minutes and that arrived; shrimp was good, salad was bland, octopus was tough and under cooked. Thank goodness we had a Local Flavor offer b/c the totally overpriced meal was a total disappointment. NEVER going back! read more
