Best "2 star" place you will ever eat. I have been traveling all week and in 3 different towns this week. I was woefully behind on work thought I would grab a pizza and refreshments from the place next door. I was disenchanted by the 2 star reviews, but tried it anyway because I needed to get back to the hotel and work. Perhaps the low reviews set low expectations, or perhaps I was lucky tonight -- but regardless of what it was, I LOVED this place. I thought the pizza was great. I couldn't even eat the (oversized) small -- and I always eat plenty. The crust was fantastic, sauce was great and the toppings just right. I visit a lot of places from yelp and I would say on average most places are overrated -- some places way way overrated. This place is the exception to the rule. read more

The delivered my food 30 mins late and my food was cold. I felt rushed off the phone when I called to check on my order as if I was the person who was late. I was not satisfied with my order or my service. read more

Meh. They have the same pizza in chuckie cheese. But the Greek salad was very good and our order was ready quickly. Good if you need a quick meal near the airport. read more

I give this a zero star rating. Just ordered from here tonight. Absolutely horrible. Not only did they charge us for 3 orders of cheese fries they also sent two calzones when we ordered one calzone and one small pizza for my lil boys. Everything was cold and soggy and they delivered the food 45 minutes late. So gross. 61 bucks for garbage. Never ordering from here again. Just go to McDonalds. read more

Village pizza has gone down hill recently. From call takers you ca n barely understand,to delvery people who don't show up. Try to complain . You have to talk to the same phone person. It's sad this place was the best in my book but now , I wouldn't recommend to my dog. read more

Ordered a large pizza, hot wings and soda. By far the worst pizza I had ever had . The cheese was all dried up and flaky, crust was horrible. And to top all this, while delivering the pizza they forgot to bring us the soda .The staff who received our call to order the pizza was pretty rude and put us on hold for about 5 mins( that's when I disconnected the call) and called back to place the order . The pizza tasted like a McDonalds hamburger and i ordered bbq chicken pizza...the fries arrived cold and it was very disappointing. wings were very tough to eat as well. received a little harassment from the delivery driver using a personal cellphone.. new to the area and will not be returning. read more

I have been a customer of this pizza shop for quite sometime but I had a very bad experience yesterday. I ordered a large pepperoni pizza which is on special Sunday-Wednesday for $11.99 and I was denied the special because they said I did not mention the special when I ordered. When I asked about it when I picked the pizza up I was told I it was too late. So I was charged $15.94 instead of $12.75 for the special. I hope they realize they lost a good customer. Just a word of advice...going forward you should honor your specials or at least put it in writing it is necessary to mention the special when ordering. read more

Ordered for delivery. One of my grinders was missing. Called immediately after the driver left. Was put on hold then asked if I wanted the driver to come back. Yes! She said she would have to call the driver. Waited another 20 minutes and had to call back. Was put on hold again. Then was told the driver said he dropped off all the food. Then another woman got on and said they never put the order in for that grinder. No one was even going to call me back. I will never order from them again. And there pizza was awful! read more

Bad service. We were staying at a nearby hotel and decided to give this place a try. The girl who took our delivery order was very rude, making it seem like I was interrupting her by calling. We waited over an hour for our food to arrive. I ended up calling them again to find out what was going on. I was told the driver couldn't find our room and left. I asked why I wasn't called or why the driver didn't ask the check in desk where to go. I was given a lame excuse and was told the food would be there in another 5 minutes. 15 mins after that our food arrived. After all that, our food was soggy and not worth the wait. Do yourself a favor and go to the Ruby Tuesday's down the street. read more

We ordered from them for lunch at work. It took 1 hour and 10 min to get the food and it was cold and soggy. No one had a good meal. The cheese on my grinder was not melted and was so hard and rubbery that I took it off and it stayed in one piece. Menu is in the garbage. read more

Ordered chef salad no onion with cheesy garlic bread for delivery. Lady stated 30 minute delivery. Food got here in 10 minutes. Cheesy garlic bread was yummy And hot. Salad is huge, and looks great. Crispy green lettuce blend 2 hard boiled eggs kalamata onions and ham turkey roast beef and provolone. I'm very impressed. Only thing I have to say negative is the lady answering the phone-although super sweet, doesn't speak good English, and I had to repeat myself several times. But she was sweet as can be! I am staying in the area for the Big E festival this weekend. My boyfriend and I were starving after checking in to our hotel room and decided to order from Village Pizza. The counter girl was friendly and speedy which is always a plus. The food arrived in a timely manner and was served hot, however the delivery man had absolutely no personality. He knocked on our door so faintly, we actually had to question whether someone was actually there. We asked if he had change of a $10 so we could tip him and he came off as annoyed/inconvenienced that he had to get us change FROM HIS POCKET. He reached into his pocket for his bills and ended up throwing his cell phone on the ground in order to get us change. Didn't smile, no thank you. Absolutely no personality. The food was fine for delivery, but seriously get rid of this driver. Unfriendly. Unprofessional. Unnecessary. read more

Flew into Hartford July 11th and found this place within a short walk from my hotel. Had a steak and cheese grinder which was yummy. Tonight I tried the.chicken parm.....again was yummy. Decent hot food at a fair price. Friendly quick service....what more could one want? If local or visiting give them a try! read more

This is the worst pizza my husband and I have ever eaten not only in CT but the entire New England area. The crust was bad and the pizza had zero flavor. The skin on the chicken wings was chewy which usually indicates they were microwaved. No thanks!!!! read more

This place was terrible for delivery. Order was late. Half hour after I called they called back to tell me they had no clams. So I had to change to fish and chips. The calzone had no taste at all and the sauce very bland. Order showed up with no fries. I called back to find out where they were and got hung up on three times. Waste of time and money. read more

I have eaten here before on my overnight trips, but this time I was very disappointed. I dined in and my salad and bread came out after my dinner which I had to ask for. My dinner was not good, it seems like the quality of food has gone way down. Workers were on the cell phones having personal conversations in the dining area which I found very disturbing. Stayed in the Double Tree across the street, tried out their antipasto salad. I could barely finish the small. Very impressed so i went back for a small pizza and small salad to split with my wife. We couldn't finish it, and it was great. Had to keep going back and try other things, The Turkey Club is a must try as well. On my way out of town I had to stop again to get another Turkey Club, and the fries that came with it were excellent. If you are in or near Windsor Locks, this is a MUST try, for the quality, price and portions of their meals. read more

This has got to be the worst pizza I have ever had in my life. It was overcooked and tasted like cardboard. Frozen, microwaveable pizza is better than this. Do yourself a favor and go anywhere else.
