My boyfriend and I went here for date night on February 13th, hoping to avoid the Valentine's Day rush. Unfortunately, we had the worst service. The restaurant wasn't busy--only one large party next to us, and they already had their food and drinks. When we were seated, we were given food menus but not drink menus. It took 15 minutes before someone walked by, and when my boyfriend asked for a drink menu, they brought it and disappeared. After waiting a while, my boyfriend tried to get a server's attention, but the response was a rude "not now" before walking away. I told my boyfriend I hoped he wasn't our server. When we finally got service, we ordered food and a bottle of red wine. The server brought white wine instead, but at least corrected it when we pointed it out. After our food arrived, the server never checked on us. I ordered fettuccine with chicken and mushrooms, but the chicken was missing. Since our server disappeared, we couldn't even address it. I wanted dessert, but my boyfriend suggested we go elsewhere. The server eventually came back--only to clean up after the large party--but still ignored our table. We had to flag someone down just to get our check. At that point, the server asked if we wanted dessert, but we declined. To top it off, my boyfriend mentioned that the same out-of-service stall in the men's bathroom from a year ago was still broken, and the door was rusted at the bottom. We don't usually leave reviews, but after this terrible experience--and both of us working in hospitality--we felt it was necessary. A year ago, we had our second date here and had a great time, so we thought it would be special to return for our first Valentine's. Sadly, it was a huge disappointment. The only reason I'm giving 2 stars is that, despite the service issues and the mistake with my order, the food was still good. Also, our first experience here was great.

I had to meet someone here for business, and based on reviews I wasn't expecting much. Yelp was spot on. The food was not fresh at all, we had calamari for our appetizer, there was hardly any actual squid, it was mostly just French fries. I've never seen that done using French fries as filler for calamari. I ordered seafood risotto. None of the seafood was fresh and the risotto itself wasn't the correct texture. The only good thing was the tiramisu. So many great Italian places around, I wouldn't waste my time coming back here.

Complimentary bread which still has a chokehold on me. The tomato with the bread was *chefs kiss*!!!!

Occasion: Spontaneous Date Night PARKING: Free Garage Parking, Valet Location & Ambiance: Wonderful location. This restaurant is located at Mizner Park which is generally a safe area filled with many options for eating and entertainment. This is a great location for taking a stroll and chatting with your date after dinner. The ambiance is truly gorgeous. We got extremely blessed and walked in right as there was LIVE music. The accordion player did an amazing job. She delivered such a romantic experience. To the restaurant owner, please continue with the live music. It truly elevates the experience. Service: I am so upset with myself for not being able to recall the name of our waiter. However, I do remember him saying that if we don't like him, his name is Kevin, which is hilarious. Dear, Kevin, you were amazing. Thank you for such a beautiful experience. I'm sorry I can't recall your name, but just know that you were 100/10!!!! Food: The food? EXQUISITE. That's it. That's all you need to know. My plate took me on a flight away and I do NOT want to return. One way ticket!! Overall: A million/10 What a wonderful experience! We'll surely need to return. Everything was delightful!!

The bread, focaccia, and bruschetta especially the bruschetta was wonderful. Wish we could buy tomatoes like that. The fried calamari was tender and fried perfectly. The accompanying sauce although a little spicy was perfect. My wife said the frutti de mare she ordered was very good. The chicken parm I ordered was the best I have had in many years. I order it often, and am often disappointed. Not true here. It was excellent. The tiramamsu for dessert didn't disappoint. All in all, this was a 10 out of 10. A rating I have not been able to assign to a restaurant very often.

The food was excellent--truly authentic, packed with flavor, and cooked to perfection. You can taste the quality in every dish. Beyond the incredible food, the ambiance of the restaurant is wonderful, strikes the perfect balance of cozy and upscale. What really took the night to the next level, though, was our server, Tony. He was hands-down the best! Tony went above and beyond to make the birthday celebration feel incredibly special, attentive, warm, and genuinely welcoming. Make sure you save room for dessert because the strawberry shortcake is absolutely to die for, and the after dinner cookies were the perfect sweet finish. However as mentioned the restaurant manager and hostess need a refresher training in hospitality and customer service.

I had the bollonaise with meatballs.....delicious. My father had the seafood pasta....he loved it. Several others had the branzino.....all loved. I ordered the Tomato Cream Gnocchi and my boyfriend had the Mediterranean Combo. No exaggeration but this was the best gnocchi I've ever had. The dish changed my view on gnocchi and I'm now a converted fan. The texture was pillow soft with a bit of spring. The magic of this dish is how simple yet delicious it is. I loved a simple dish done well. The Mediterranean combo was a special of the night and it came with prawns, branzino, fried anchovies, and a salad. The combo was also just as goods. The seasoning was yet again, simple but delicious. The prawns were succulent, fish was high quality, and the fried anchovies surprised me. I loved all the proteins. I also tried the squid ink pasta and the seafood linguini. Both were good but the squid ink pasta was unique. I can't put my finger on the flavor but I liked it. Service was incredible and the chef was kind. He came out to talk to us and explained some of the dishes. The restaurant is homey and cozy. I felt like I was in Sicily. Overall, I highly recommend Savia. I can't wait to come back and try more.

While the food was generally good--my veal chop from the prix fixe menu was flavorful, though slightly dry--other dishes were, unfortunately, just average. What truly undermined the evening, however, was the service. Throughout the night, several guests struggled with repeatedly unfilled water glasses and had to ask multiple times for basic items. Our waitress hardly checked in until the end of the meal, with minimal follow-up during dinner. The situation escalated when, after paying, our waitress, Haley B, approached the table in a confrontational manner, questioning me directly--three separate times--about the tip, in front of the entire group. Gratuity should reflect the quality of both service and overall experience; being pressured for a higher tip despite the lack of attention was entirely out of line. To make matters worse, my follow-up call to management was equally disappointing. The response was all talk, no action. Unfortunately, the lack of professionalism left a lasting negative impression.

It's where we take clients, friends, and family, because you can always count on excellent service and exceptional food. The restaurant is large, but its charm is in its elegant yet intimate setting. I especially like the tables in the back, which are a little quieter. And if you're looking for something a bit more casual, the bar area is always a great choice. As for the food... I can honestly say that everything on the menu is exceptional. I once had a snapper special served piccante style that was absolutely out of this world. Avery and I had a lovely dinner Saturday night. We started with the Sausage and Peppers - real homemade Italian sausages that are a little sweet and spicy, with every bite bursting with flavor. Then we shared the grilled seafood appetizer, one of the evening's specials, and it definitely lived up to the "special" part! Then came my favorite ...the Chicken Parm and, of course, we had to share a cannoli for dessert. There was so much food left over that they wrapped everything up for us, so we get to enjoy it all over again! Why do restaurants which when full are extremely loud feel that they still have to pump in base heavy music? When full I anticipate painful level of ambient noise. On Wednesday evenings during the summer they offer a parmigiana special for $29. We knew about this from their website. Neither the menu nor server informed us about this dish which was excellent. The ala carte menu is very pricey. In the same neighborhood (and price point) I'd prefer either Casa D'Angello or Trattoria Romano. We probably will not return because of the noise level.
