Vin 25 in Roswell is a charming spot that's just right for a cozy evening work sesh. We enjoyed the heated patio, which made for a comfortable setting even as the evening got cooler. The pimento cheese balls and the cheese board delicious and beautifully arranged. The service was excellent. Vin 25 has a welcoming ambiance that's perfect for a casual night out or even a productive work meeting. Adorable and charming spot surrounding you with mature trees and lush greenery.

This is such a romantic restaurant. Beautiful patio and amazing live music that isn't too loud, very relaxing and allows you to have great convos Their braised steak was delicious but the winner was that bacon cauliflower cream under it - wow Bolognese wasn't your typical meat sauce, had a unique flavor we couldn't put our finger on but it was tasty Service was really Wonderful and prompt - it's also in such a cute corner of Roswell Tip - check out the wine spot next door !!

We've been wanting to try this restaurant for a while, so we decided it would be a great place for my mother's 70th birthday dinner. We made a reservation for 7 people and were seated at a cozy table with both booth seating and tall chairs. Our server was very attentive and accommodating, making excellent drink and food recommendations. I got the Sixty South Salmon, which was perfectly cooked and a good portion size. I was also able to finish off my wife's Bolognese, which was absolutely delicious. Everybody seemed to enjoy their meals as there were only compliments. If you're looking for an intimate dinner out, then I recommend this quaint little restaurant in downtown Roswell.

Came here on a whim with a friend. We both needed a night of good food, wine and chatting! They were really busy but we were happily sat at a tiny table on the patio(no biggie we came without reservations and hey live music too). The service was great! The place was charming with phenomenal food! We ordered 4 different appetizers to share! We will 100% be back. Planning a date night here with my hubby!

everything was divine. 100% would come back. I cannot rave more about their food. E X P E R I E N C E we came as a party of 3 for a tuesday 5pm reservation for a get together and bday. I had made a reservation a week in advance and there were plenty available. one friend came on time and was immediately sat. we were immediately served water and offered drinks. we stayed until about 645pm. parking lot was about 30% full. there were only 3 tables sat inside and 3 outside. it was not very busy. A M B I A N C E casual to cocktail. definitely can wear heels, just be careful of the gravel parking lot and the beautiful stone pathway. great for couples to large groups. farmhouse industrial decor. elegant. nicely dimmed. beautiful outdoor seating with heaters. Adirondack chairs available. bar height and dining height available. P A R K I N G restaurant is a little hidden, off the main road. do follow the small road in, you're going the right direction! you'll see a lot of homes turned into restaurants! that's what vin50 is as well. parking is easy. no drawn lines on the gravel floor but everyone seems to be pretty good/respectful about parking close enough to each other. there is plenty of space for id say 20 cars. C L E A N L I N E S S well kept restrooms and store F O O D freaking. amazing. everything was divine. 100% would come back. sixty south salmon 30: edamame risotto, coconut chili broth, snow crab surimi, Wonton shrimp: risotto was not mushy like baby food. still had texture. salmon was cooked al dente so just a tiny undercooked. it was perfect. flavor was incredible. bolognese 27: beef and pork bolognese, fettuccine, aromatics, burrata, garlic herb ciabatta crumbs: sooo good. I'm ordering this next time. fettuccine cooked al dente as well and soaked in that sauce. not too sauce-y. texture and consistency was perfect. plenty of meat. pan roasted chicken 26: shiitake mushrooms Ragusa, pearl onion farrotto, warm tomato bacon conserva: my friend loved it. I rarely would order chicken as a lot of times, it's cooked very dry. this was tender, soft, moist, flavorful, not doused in cream or sauce. homemade oreo ice cream: so tasty! a good sharing portion. everyone gets a few bites. I'm massive so I would eat the whole thing by myself. nothing out of this world but had great texture and flavor. *TIP*no dessert menu but there were 4 phenomenal options (white choc, oreo ice cream, reeses cup, and beignet) so im assuming it's daily/seasonal! *TIP*portion sizes were decent. but i also eat a lot. so. I'd say if you love food, you'd want to do an app, main and dessert for sure. I was only 50% full. S E R V I C E fantastic. she was extremely friendly, would rattle off all the options of drinks and food for us as it was our first time. she was very well prepared and attentive. we had told her we were really just here to catch up and she made sure to still check in but was not overbearing. she was perfection. unfortunate that I didn't catch her name...she said it but i forgot-I was too excited to meet up with my friends. blonde lady, shoulder height hair, about 5ft8, white, beautiful smile. also a male, I'm assuming is the manager, came up to us to check in. that was kind of him. In truth, I was not going to leave this review as it is a principle of mine to leave bad experiences in the past and draw light to those that were good. However, the more I thought of the events that transpired the greater the conviction to write this review became. I will start by admitting we did make the mistake of arriving a bit early before they opened at 5 PM. We were exhausted because I flew in to visit my mother that morning and we subsequently spent the day shopping and hiking. As you can imagine we were tired and hungry so we rushed to our reservation excited to follow up a great day with dinner at an establishment which boasted phenomenal reviews. In our haste it slipped our minds that the restaurant was closed for about another 20 minutes, so when we opened the door and was promptly rushed out with the owner having a not too welcoming attitude it was understandable and we agreed to wait at a table outside until opening. Unfortunately, she still seemed flustered and unwelcoming as 5 PM rolled around,arriving at our table to bring the menus as well as noting the hostess/sever (her daughter) was running late as usual. She added the quip to not hire family and we thought to ourselves surely it couldn't be that bad. We therefore assumed that perhaps they were just having an off day and decided this wouldn't determine the outcome of the rest of our meal. A few more minutes passed and the hostess arrived to take our order with a less than pleasing attitude, to say she was inattentive would be too high praise. She hurriedly took our order with a rushed and sour disposition. Then brought the food out shortly after with a similar attitude. My mother immediately noticed her salmon was undercooked but decided to try it anyways because we second guessed what our eyes were seeing. After a few unpalatable bites and slicing into it we came to the realization the salmon was completely raw in the center (as pictured). We tried to get someone's attention but the hostess, bartender, and basically most other staff were just chatting by the bar immersed in their own conversation. I did not want to get up with dinnerware on the table as another issue was that the chairs and tables for the outdoor seating are quite uncomfortable due to them being on uneven cobblestone and it placed us in an awkward situation where every time we got up it caused the table and chairs to shake. So, I called the restaurant and after many rings a young man in the group by the bar answered. I explained the predicament and asked if our sever could come a moment, he did not even let me finish fully before without saying a word I could see him drop the phone from his ear and mention in exasperation that I was calling. The server hesitated to come out with a sigh of frustration herself. The overall attitude of the staff was off putting and unprofessional. None of them should be employed there. My mother caught on earlier than I did because I was intent on enjoying our time there. I kept making up excuses until that point as we were clearly being treated abhorrently for reasons we could not fathom since we were polite even in the face of their indifference and said very little for the time we were there. The hostess/server did come out eventually and we conveyed the issue after which she promptly took the dish back to the kitchen. After having a brief conversation my mother and I decided we'd just pay the bill and dine elsewhere. I went inside to ask for the check and the same man (perhaps the bartender) that answered the phone said "she is coming in" with an air of animosity. I explained I was coming in to pay our check and leave. This is when the owner came out to try and explain that they were inquiring with the kitchen as to what transpired and if we wanted to leave she would not allow us to pay. We went back and forth insisting on paying but she refused to take any payment and we left. This is why I hesitated to write the review as once the issue was brought to the owners attention she was very nice and insistent in resolving the issue, as she should. In the end, I realized the issue was more than just raw salmon but the overall service. We were the only customers there, in fact we saw several groups come in and decided to leave in the short span we were seated. It is astonishing with such great reviews they could not get it right for the only customers there at the time. It would have been a predictable outcome had we just read the few one star reviews and believed them. I highly suggest you do that!

My date and I came to Vin 25 for dinner on a beautiful Spring night and the scenery was absolutely idyllic like a storybook setting. Vin 25 is located in downtown Roswell, tucked away on Plum Street and it is quaint and really nice for outdoor dining. There was virtually no one sitting inside considering it was such a nice sunny evening and they also have heating lamps once it gets chilly. We started with cocktails--he had the old-fashioned and I had the pink panther which was very strong, tart, and fruity with Mezcal liquor. For an appetizer, we had the pimento cheese fritters with red pepper jelly and I highly recommend it, super delicious. I had the salmon and he had the hanger steak and both were wonderfully plated with a perfect blending of ingredients and tasted delectable. If you haven't already been to Vin 25 definitely check it out! It is a gem hidden in Roswell.

Solid eats paired with great vino is something I can always get behind. Vin 25 is such a cute spot in Roswell. It's like entering a good friend's home and also boasts a rockin' patio that's perfect for enjoying your drinks and eats. I came with two others on a weeknight and we sat inside. To eat, we shared the pimento cheese fritters and hummus to start, and I got the scallops as my main entree. In general, everything was presented beautifully and well done. The scallops were a highlight for me, but I also enjoyed trying the cheese fritters which is something we just don't get down in Miami. The menu is succinct but has a little something for everyone. I'd be pretty confident ordering anything off the menu and trusting it's tasty! Service was a little meh throughout. Hard to get our waiter's attention to order, pay, etc. Besides that though, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Vin 25 for a solid meal out.

I wanted to give this place 5* for the ambiance alone... but the food and substantial wine options made me feel even better about doing so. We came in for a late dinner so wanted to go lighter with just an entree and appetizer to share. Fromage appetizer, otherwise known as the cheese board. Excellent paired with a great bottle of wine. And the chicken special that was sooo good that we almost returned a second night in a row. Ended the meal with a giant chocolate peanut butter cup dessert. OMG.... I want that right now

My husband an I have been here a few times and love it! Everyone here is so friendly and helpful. They will recommend a great bottle of wine if you just tell them what you like. The food is delicious! My husband had the pasta special and told the waitress how much he enjoyed it. The manager came out and thanked us and chatted with us for a bit. The decor is so warming and it's a lovely place to sit outside on a nice night. I can't recommend this place enough! read more

I've eaten here twice in the past couple weeks and it's a pure joy - what a wonderful addition to Roswell, which already has numerous great places to eat. This place is tucked away on a side street so it's lovely to eat outside since there is little traffic. They have done a fabulous job of creating comfortable and sophisticated inside and outside seating areas. Their service is attentive from the wait staff to the owner/hostess. Everyone makes sure your needs are met. The menu is small but creative and enough off the norm to be interesting. We had their shrimp and grits and grilled scallops - both dishes were very good. Because it was my birthday, they offered me a complimentary dessert - we shared their bananas foster - which was really really good - like chocolate mouse, caramel and cooked bananas all mixed together - yum!!!! Went with a big group last night and loved every minute. Dennis was our main waiter and he was super attentive as well as a pleasure to talk with. He recommended the best dishes and I was delighted. I had the lamb meatballs, amazing. The scallops were top 2 of my life, and the duck was delightful. My husband and I will be back soon! They also had an awesome outdoor area with fire pits and comfy chairs. read more

I love this place! It's perfect for going on a date or out with friends. Just get there early to get a seat, otherwise it could be quite a wait. Luckily we got a seat at the bar, and stayed there all night. The bartenders were so accommodating as my friend and I ordered "just another half glass" of wine at the end! Met the friendliest people sitting next to us too! It wasn't quite warm enough to sit outside, but can see that happening in the near future. read more

Very nice atmosphere and good service. Alas, they killed my Wellington. I asked for medium, it came raw, I sent it back, they didn't re-fire... Instead, I got the same exact piece that I sent back re-cooked to death....I was with a big group and was embarrassed to send it back again. The waiter didn't even bother to ask me if their second attempt was ok. read more

We enjoyed our dinner at Vin. Was it worth 115$ for two people? No. $8 beer and more for wine, $25 entrees that while tasty require noshing later at home don't make it a good value. Draught beer selection is pitiful and bottled is overpriced. Wine list is decent and while pricey, it is no more expensive than anywhere else. If you live in Roswell, it's a nice night out but not a frequent repeat. If you don't live in Roswell, it's probably not worth it - you probably have the same joint locally. read more

I ate here with a group of 8 last week. We sat outside and the ambiance was quite nice (other than the acorns falling on my head from the large trees above). The big problem with this restaurant was the service. It was awful and perhaps that was because we announced we were only ordering drinks and appetizers. We were there for an hour and were never approached about a second drink. We finally flagged down our absentee waiter and asked for another round of drinks. We waited for 15 more minutes while the waiter brought food and drinks to other tables. We finally got too frustrated and canceled our drink order and left. No apologies from the staff. read more

Ill just let everyone know that this review is based on cheese and wine. I was meeting a young lady there for our "1st date", we wanted to sit outside to talk but the rainforest that is GA disallowed us to. So looking inside we were the first guests so we were sat immediately. Off to a good start!!! We start to talk and were approached in ample time by our waiting. Got us water and asked if we were ready for wine. I told him "we were chatting away and have not even looked". We got into conversation again and about 90 seconds later... "What are we thinking?" I asked my date what kind of wine she liked and we ordered 2 glasses of wine. ( The wine list is nice, too large for my taste.. I mean anyone can have a great wine list with a huge selection... I prefer short easy to follow wine program... )Moving on. The drinks come we continue to have great conversation.. Again the waiter comes over to get us to order. By this time I take a quick gander at the watch to see if we had really been there a long time. And it was 15 minutes with noone in the restaurant but us. I said we will take the cheese plate. Before the cheese even arrives he wants us to order entrees! I said no thanks we'd like to work on the cheese first. After this annoyance the rain stopped and we instantly decided that vin 25 was not where we wanted to continue our date. I was fully ready to have dinner, more wine, and entrees but not at the expense of being annoyed by the waiter and not being able to talk with a lady. We paid our tab and left. Went down to Salt and had a wonderful time!!!!!! read more

Went back to Vin again (twice) & have officially added this to my roster of regulars. They recently parted ways with the original Chef, but the food quality & favors are the same; great training on the owners part. Went once with visiting family & had the full experience: all the apps, entree & a spectacular white burgundy from France. Everyone enjoyed the scallops entree with risotto. Our server was very knowledgeable with the wines & selected perfect compliments to our entrees. Be sure to have the risotto balls! Could use a titch more bacon flavor as described in the menu, but just great. The arugula salad with goat cheese is perfectly balanced. The other salad to try is the smoked salmon salad. The avocado mousse & accompaniments are perfect. Now, the wine. The owner is an accomplished sommelier & his list is amazing. Very thoughtful & well put together in terms of varietals, prices & what his surrounding neighborhood likes. Be sure to have the white burgundy mentioned above...and anything the servers recommend! Had dinner there last night with my wife The staff is always excellent and the food is always good. One of our favorite places in Roswell to go to and there are lots of great restaurants in Roswell. The only problem was our food was lukewarm bordering on cold probably sat too long before the server got to it. Still delicious though and I mentioned it to the server to be helpful and she took it in the spirit that it was given. Again great staff we ordered dessert and they comped that which I thought was really nice. Would definitely recommend it and we will be going back soon read more

Great place the first time I went two years ago, great place still. The waiters and owner remember you once you've been there a couple of times, they know their food and wine, and they keep coming back to check on you. This is an owner who obviously keeps putting his money back into the place - since they opened, they've improved the acoustics in the rather noisy main room, increased the size of the lovely patio, and added a firepit. We sat outside last night for a couple of glasses of wine, and not one staffer mentioned that we might be nuts since it was about 45 degrees. They just lit the firepit and the heaters, and took great care of us as always. Jazz outdoors on the patio on warm evenings - wonderful atmosphere. Lots of date nights, girl nights, groups of friends - welcoming to all. read more

What a great addition to Roswell. Tucked away on a side street, Vin 25 has it all. A beautiful historic building, with an updated rustic feel. A great place for dining under the stars on a cool fall night. The food is amazing. Everything we ordered was delicious! A huge wine list. I had better stop here... the other locals are going to be mad at me for giving away our little secret. read more

Second visit tonight - atmosphere & food good but service was just okay, definitely not what I would expect for wine/food prices. Waiter definitlely new to restaurant- not familiar with wine list to talk intlligently about choices- had to call in reinforecements which I feel inexcusable for wine restaurant. Did end up with excellent Spanish Temparillo which we thoroughly enjoyed. Started with cheese plate- excellent choice of artisanal cheeses however was served with stale bread- brought up and was brought hot, fresh slices- waiter stated he couldn't tell when slicing that it wasn't fresh. #1 - the wait staff should not be responsible for final presentation of the dish. Ordered scallops & pasta dish- about 15 minutes into ordering waiter comes by to confirm order- had 1 entree wrong so we"re thinking either the scallops will be siiting forever waiting on new entree or would come out separately. Kitchen got it right- both entrees cooked well. All in all I want to support local Roswell restaurants but this restaurant needs to train wait staff better to justify prices. read more

If you don't like very good food, don't go to Vin25. If you don't like wonderful wines to pair with the food including craft beers, scotches & whiskies/bourbons, don't go to Vin25. If you don't appreciate attentive service, don't go to Vin25. If you don't like an intimate, pleasing atmosphere in a tastefully appointed space, don't go to Vin25. If you do like all these things, then by all means put Vin25 at the top of you list of places to go in Roswell off Canton street and on Plum street. Now if you could only smoke cigars outside....!! OMG the staff here are amazing. Could nt have been more helpful, or have given better service. We only had the appetizers, flat bread and meat plate, but that was enough to share between 4. I love wine, but do not consider myself a wine buff, but the staff and owner were more than happy to educate us, in a non threatening , fun way. Awesome atmosphere. Atmosphere: 5 stars! We got an outdoor table on a cool night; a two-man band (piano and singer with harmonica) played some jazz, New Orleans favorites, Van Morrison - at just the right volume (and we were right next to them). Sit outside if at all possible - absolutely a great ambience. Food: 4 stars - really, really good. Had their "Flatbread of the day" and it was phenomenal. Arancini - rice balls stuffed with cheese and bacon - are you kidding me? Delicious! Also had the mussels appetizer and a pasta main, which suffered only in comparison to the flatbread and arancini! Service was also excellent, and we saw the owner hustling his arse all over the place. We really, really enjoyed it and will definitely be back! I highly recommend it! read more

We came to Vin for a quick drink before dinner. The 2012 Chappellet was reasonably priced and drank very well. After dinner we came back for dessert. The owner, Cooper, let us enjoy a delicious bottle in the cellar and stayed to chat with us for a bit. He provided some of the most welcoming service I've had on canton street. This was our first experience here and I can easily say we will go back. read more

Highly recommend Vin 25 for an elegantly served, nice meal without the white linens but instead with charm and character. The service was top notch and all staff were extremely friendly, going above and beyond. Great wine selection but also a nice selection of craft cocktails so there's something for everyone. Vin 25 is tucked away on a side street of Canton Street which keeps it a hidden gem. It was the perfect place to take out of town guests for a taste of Roswell. read more

Maybe the worst dining experience I've had i the last year. The food was very good, but the ambience was like eating in a pub. I could not hear myself think, let alone have a conversation. A $200 dinner that gave me a splitting headache and couldn't wait to leave. We will NEVER eat there again and I will never recommend this restaurant to anyone!!! read more

They have outdoor dining which seems to have a great atmosphere but it was way too hot to dine outside. We typically love bars but this one was dark and uninviting. No thank you. We sat to the left as you enter the front door. Missing atmosphere-- wouldn't choose to sit here again. Service was impeccable. I couldn't decide what I wanted for a glass of wine and they offered to bring me glasses to sample. I love this-- I saw them offer same service to another table close by. We split the Caesar and they were kind enough to diving between two bowls. The only other place that does this for us is Cibo e Beve. The focaccia was wonderful with large flakes of salt on top and went great with their olive oil. We are truly picky Caesar eaters and this one had freshly shaved Parmesan and obvious homemade croutons. Pasta was fabulous for both of us. Would we dine here again? Definitely not the bar and probably not the dining room, but would come back to dine outdoors. Carrie was our waitress and she was fantastic.

We stick to what we know and always get The Moxie and The Bleu Ribbon, plus a side of sweet potato fries. As usual, everything was delicious, though the buns were a little less fresh than they normally are. The pimento on The Moxie is excellent, and the sweet potato fries are literally some of the best anywhere, especially with the chipotle mayo. Service is friendly and efficient. The lemonade is fine, nothing special, but that's not really why I come here. Moxie is consistent, reliable, and one of those places that rarely disappoints.

This time on a lettuce bed either some fries to share with the table. The location is very cute. There's a little more indoor seating than the Paper Mill location too. The inside has a nice line of windows too (it was cold outside when we went, so I didn't check out the patio). When we arrived, it was on the early side for dinner (5pm-ish). We had our pick of tables in the restaurant. When we left, it was hopping busy. Final take - on a nice day - I like the paper mill location. It' has a smaller footprint and plenty of parking. If I'm crazing their burgers on a blustery day - I'd probably come back to the Roswell one.

Great place the first time I went two years ago, great place still. The waiters and owner remember you once you've been there a couple of times, they know their food and wine, and they keep coming back to check on you. This is an owner who obviously keeps putting his money back into the place - since they opened, they've improved the acoustics in the rather noisy main room, increased the size of the lovely patio, and added a firepit. We sat outside last night for a couple of glasses of wine, and not one staffer mentioned that we might be nuts since it was about 45 degrees. They just lit the firepit and the heaters, and took great care of us as always. Jazz outdoors on the patio on warm evenings - wonderful atmosphere. Lots of date nights, girl nights, groups of friends - welcoming to all. read more

Went to Vin25 last night and LOVED IT! This is such a nice wine bar that is far from stuffy and a new hidden gem of Roswell near Canton Street. :) Outside has a nice courtyard seating area and the inside was warm and welcoming. I had an amazing pinot noir (suggested by the owner) along with some local cheeses and tasty cured meats. My husband and I shared a lamb dish that was delicious (and I'm not usually a fan of lamb). We finished our meal with a bacon maple donut and ice cream dessert that was amazing! YUM! I'm excited to tell my girlfriends about this spot for girls' night out or go back for a nice romantic date night with my husband! We will definely be back soon! read more

Thank you, Chef! As a vegan foodie, I struggle to find good options in Alpharetta/Roswell/Milton. I asked if the chef could make me whatever vegan hot plate he wanted last night for my dinner, that included some protein. He made the most incredible dinner for me! Freaking amazing! Should be in the menu! I am eternally grateful! To say that restaurants offer gluten free but not vegan options, leaving me to eat salads with my own hidden container of beans while all my family enjoy their dinner makes me feel like an afterthought. Thanks Chef for your creation, but more so, for your willingness! read more

This has to be one of the best restaurants I have ever eaten at. Amazing fresh ingredients, home made pasta of the day, Home made flatbread with local farm toppings. The only issue is not enough seating, the word is out. Come early or some late for a better chance at a seat if you forgot to make a reservation ahead of time. As it is just off downtown Roswell, get a reservation and go for a nice walk in the historic city while you wait its worth it. read more

Had girls night out at Vin25 recently and had a great time - food, drinks and service were all fantastic. Our server Troy was knowledgeable on all menu items and appropriate wine. The atmosphere made the night even more enjoyable. If it had not been raining we would have loved to spend time on the fabulous patio. Coop, the owner, always makes time to visit each table and ensure everything is perfect. I highly recommend Vin25! read more

Dinner and drinks with a friend with a great environment. The host/manager let me in before opening as I am always early and I got to eavesdrop on their bartender/mixologist reviewing the new drink menu with staff. Education is so important. Really enjoyed the beet salad and our server Carl was even cooler than his handlebar stache. Thanks for the great service Carl and team, we will definitely be back! read more

This is the best restaurant in Roswell. The win selection is second to none, and the chef is amazing. They menu changes all of the time based upon what is in season. The Flat Bread special is the best item to start with as it changes almost ever day based upon what the chef has on had from the local market. read more
