Vin 25 in Roswell is a charming spot that's just right for a cozy evening work sesh. We enjoyed the heated patio, which made for a comfortable setting even as the evening got cooler. The pimento cheese balls and the cheese board delicious and beautifully arranged. The service was excellent. Vin 25 has a welcoming ambiance that's perfect for a casual night out or even a productive work meeting. Adorable and charming spot surrounding you with mature trees and lush greenery.

This is such a romantic restaurant. Beautiful patio and amazing live music that isn't too loud, very relaxing and allows you to have great convos Their braised steak was delicious but the winner was that bacon cauliflower cream under it - wow Bolognese wasn't your typical meat sauce, had a unique flavor we couldn't put our finger on but it was tasty Service was really Wonderful and prompt - it's also in such a cute corner of Roswell Tip - check out the wine spot next door !!

We've been wanting to try this restaurant for a while, so we decided it would be a great place for my mother's 70th birthday dinner. We made a reservation for 7 people and were seated at a cozy table with both booth seating and tall chairs. Our server was very attentive and accommodating, making excellent drink and food recommendations. I got the Sixty South Salmon, which was perfectly cooked and a good portion size. I was also able to finish off my wife's Bolognese, which was absolutely delicious. Everybody seemed to enjoy their meals as there were only compliments. If you're looking for an intimate dinner out, then I recommend this quaint little restaurant in downtown Roswell.

Came here on a whim with a friend. We both needed a night of good food, wine and chatting! They were really busy but we were happily sat at a tiny table on the patio(no biggie we came without reservations and hey live music too). The service was great! The place was charming with phenomenal food! We ordered 4 different appetizers to share! We will 100% be back. Planning a date night here with my hubby!

everything was divine. 100% would come back. I cannot rave more about their food. E X P E R I E N C E we came as a party of 3 for a tuesday 5pm reservation for a get together and bday. I had made a reservation a week in advance and there were plenty available. one friend came on time and was immediately sat. we were immediately served water and offered drinks. we stayed until about 645pm. parking lot was about 30% full. there were only 3 tables sat inside and 3 outside. it was not very busy. A M B I A N C E casual to cocktail. definitely can wear heels, just be careful of the gravel parking lot and the beautiful stone pathway. great for couples to large groups. farmhouse industrial decor. elegant. nicely dimmed. beautiful outdoor seating with heaters. Adirondack chairs available. bar height and dining height available. P A R K I N G restaurant is a little hidden, off the main road. do follow the small road in, you're going the right direction! you'll see a lot of homes turned into restaurants! that's what vin50 is as well. parking is easy. no drawn lines on the gravel floor but everyone seems to be pretty good/respectful about parking close enough to each other. there is plenty of space for id say 20 cars. C L E A N L I N E S S well kept restrooms and store F O O D freaking. amazing. everything was divine. 100% would come back. sixty south salmon 30: edamame risotto, coconut chili broth, snow crab surimi, Wonton shrimp: risotto was not mushy like baby food. still had texture. salmon was cooked al dente so just a tiny undercooked. it was perfect. flavor was incredible. bolognese 27: beef and pork bolognese, fettuccine, aromatics, burrata, garlic herb ciabatta crumbs: sooo good. I'm ordering this next time. fettuccine cooked al dente as well and soaked in that sauce. not too sauce-y. texture and consistency was perfect. plenty of meat. pan roasted chicken 26: shiitake mushrooms Ragusa, pearl onion farrotto, warm tomato bacon conserva: my friend loved it. I rarely would order chicken as a lot of times, it's cooked very dry. this was tender, soft, moist, flavorful, not doused in cream or sauce. homemade oreo ice cream: so tasty! a good sharing portion. everyone gets a few bites. I'm massive so I would eat the whole thing by myself. nothing out of this world but had great texture and flavor. *TIP*no dessert menu but there were 4 phenomenal options (white choc, oreo ice cream, reeses cup, and beignet) so im assuming it's daily/seasonal! *TIP*portion sizes were decent. but i also eat a lot. so. I'd say if you love food, you'd want to do an app, main and dessert for sure. I was only 50% full. S E R V I C E fantastic. she was extremely friendly, would rattle off all the options of drinks and food for us as it was our first time. she was very well prepared and attentive. we had told her we were really just here to catch up and she made sure to still check in but was not overbearing. she was perfection. unfortunate that I didn't catch her name...she said it but i forgot-I was too excited to meet up with my friends. blonde lady, shoulder height hair, about 5ft8, white, beautiful smile. also a male, I'm assuming is the manager, came up to us to check in. that was kind of him. In truth, I was not going to leave this review as it is a principle of mine to leave bad experiences in the past and draw light to those that were good. However, the more I thought of the events that transpired the greater the conviction to write this review became. I will start by admitting we did make the mistake of arriving a bit early before they opened at 5 PM. We were exhausted because I flew in to visit my mother that morning and we subsequently spent the day shopping and hiking. As you can imagine we were tired and hungry so we rushed to our reservation excited to follow up a great day with dinner at an establishment which boasted phenomenal reviews. In our haste it slipped our minds that the restaurant was closed for about another 20 minutes, so when we opened the door and was promptly rushed out with the owner having a not too welcoming attitude it was understandable and we agreed to wait at a table outside until opening. Unfortunately, she still seemed flustered and unwelcoming as 5 PM rolled around,arriving at our table to bring the menus as well as noting the hostess/sever (her daughter) was running late as usual. She added the quip to not hire family and we thought to ourselves surely it couldn't be that bad. We therefore assumed that perhaps they were just having an off day and decided this wouldn't determine the outcome of the rest of our meal. A few more minutes passed and the hostess arrived to take our order with a less than pleasing attitude, to say she was inattentive would be too high praise. She hurriedly took our order with a rushed and sour disposition. Then brought the food out shortly after with a similar attitude. My mother immediately noticed her salmon was undercooked but decided to try it anyways because we second guessed what our eyes were seeing. After a few unpalatable bites and slicing into it we came to the realization the salmon was completely raw in the center (as pictured). We tried to get someone's attention but the hostess, bartender, and basically most other staff were just chatting by the bar immersed in their own conversation. I did not want to get up with dinnerware on the table as another issue was that the chairs and tables for the outdoor seating are quite uncomfortable due to them being on uneven cobblestone and it placed us in an awkward situation where every time we got up it caused the table and chairs to shake. So, I called the restaurant and after many rings a young man in the group by the bar answered. I explained the predicament and asked if our sever could come a moment, he did not even let me finish fully before without saying a word I could see him drop the phone from his ear and mention in exasperation that I was calling. The server hesitated to come out with a sigh of frustration herself. The overall attitude of the staff was off putting and unprofessional. None of them should be employed there. My mother caught on earlier than I did because I was intent on enjoying our time there. I kept making up excuses until that point as we were clearly being treated abhorrently for reasons we could not fathom since we were polite even in the face of their indifference and said very little for the time we were there. The hostess/server did come out eventually and we conveyed the issue after which she promptly took the dish back to the kitchen. After having a brief conversation my mother and I decided we'd just pay the bill and dine elsewhere. I went inside to ask for the check and the same man (perhaps the bartender) that answered the phone said "she is coming in" with an air of animosity. I explained I was coming in to pay our check and leave. This is when the owner came out to try and explain that they were inquiring with the kitchen as to what transpired and if we wanted to leave she would not allow us to pay. We went back and forth insisting on paying but she refused to take any payment and we left. This is why I hesitated to write the review as once the issue was brought to the owners attention she was very nice and insistent in resolving the issue, as she should. In the end, I realized the issue was more than just raw salmon but the overall service. We were the only customers there, in fact we saw several groups come in and decided to leave in the short span we were seated. It is astonishing with such great reviews they could not get it right for the only customers there at the time. It would have been a predictable outcome had we just read the few one star reviews and believed them. I highly suggest you do that!

My date and I came to Vin 25 for dinner on a beautiful Spring night and the scenery was absolutely idyllic like a storybook setting. Vin 25 is located in downtown Roswell, tucked away on Plum Street and it is quaint and really nice for outdoor dining. There was virtually no one sitting inside considering it was such a nice sunny evening and they also have heating lamps once it gets chilly. We started with cocktails--he had the old-fashioned and I had the pink panther which was very strong, tart, and fruity with Mezcal liquor. For an appetizer, we had the pimento cheese fritters with red pepper jelly and I highly recommend it, super delicious. I had the salmon and he had the hanger steak and both were wonderfully plated with a perfect blending of ingredients and tasted delectable. If you haven't already been to Vin 25 definitely check it out! It is a gem hidden in Roswell.

Solid eats paired with great vino is something I can always get behind. Vin 25 is such a cute spot in Roswell. It's like entering a good friend's home and also boasts a rockin' patio that's perfect for enjoying your drinks and eats. I came with two others on a weeknight and we sat inside. To eat, we shared the pimento cheese fritters and hummus to start, and I got the scallops as my main entree. In general, everything was presented beautifully and well done. The scallops were a highlight for me, but I also enjoyed trying the cheese fritters which is something we just don't get down in Miami. The menu is succinct but has a little something for everyone. I'd be pretty confident ordering anything off the menu and trusting it's tasty! Service was a little meh throughout. Hard to get our waiter's attention to order, pay, etc. Besides that though, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Vin 25 for a solid meal out.

I wanted to give this place 5* for the ambiance alone... but the food and substantial wine options made me feel even better about doing so. We came in for a late dinner so wanted to go lighter with just an entree and appetizer to share. Fromage appetizer, otherwise known as the cheese board. Excellent paired with a great bottle of wine. And the chicken special that was sooo good that we almost returned a second night in a row. Ended the meal with a giant chocolate peanut butter cup dessert. OMG.... I want that right now

If you are in the mood for a quaint neighborhood wine bar check out this spot. It was warm summer night so we opted to sit outside. Which it was peaceful, birds chirping, crickets singing you know the sounds of nature. Their patio area is nicely shaded by trees. We ordered several dishes with the waiters recommendations. The salmon was amazing and cooked to perfection. The Brussel sprouts were flavorful and nicely charred. The hummus was a hit as well as the toast with arugula and pine nuts. Basically everything we ordered was flavorful and delectable! Great for date night, girls night out, business meeting, family friendly for those that have adult children. read more

In a quaint cottage just off the hustle and bustle of Canton's food district in Roswell, Vin 25's heated patio glows with firepits and the chatter of diners can be heard down Plum Street. We visited for Roswell Restaurant Weeks, but beyond that, this little slice of heaven is the perfect spot for an intimate date night, a glass of wine with your bestie, or just for a relaxing meal on the patio. Their stellar menu boasts large plates like succulent salmon to amazing charcuterie and fromage boards, unique wines like the Albarino Reserva from Uruguay, craft cocktails, and a whole slew of small plates. Just thinking about Vin 25 is making us hungry, let's dig in. Just because Vin 25 sells as a wine bar, doesn't mean you can't sip on a tasty cocktail. We sampled the La Rosa and it was a real treat from the mix of lemon, tequila, and sparkling rose. But what really makes this cocktail is that bit of spice from the prevalent amount of black pepper. It gives it just that little edge to elevate it from good to great. Now, being that Vin 25 IS a wine bar, we had to try something different, so we paired our salmon with the wine pairing recommended, the Barbera. A mild red wine out of Italy that is lighter bodied and more reminiscent of a pinot noir. Not too fruity, but not too bold, this one went so well with the earthiness of the foraged mushrooms and Brussel sprouts on the main course. We also were treated to the Albarino Reserva out of Uruguay, which is a white varietal that reminds us of in between a Vinho Verde and a Pinot Grigio. It was tart with a slight acidity but mellows out on the back of the pallet for a smooth finish. What a wonderful wine! As we mentioned, we went for Roswell Restaurants Weeks and got the 3-course meal that included Winter Squash Toast, 60 South Salmon, and Buttermilk Cake. On top of that we got gigantic charcuterie and fromage board! The board consists of 5 rotating meats and cheeses that can range from Tomme, which was John's favorite, to Red Dragon from Whales, which was Liz's favorite. What's Red Dragon? It's an aged cheddar that contains grain mustard seeds. Delicious. On the meats, we sampled two types of salami, prosciutto, and more. Who knows what will end up on the board next time! Hope it has the honeycomb and the bacon jam, those were very welcome accoutrement to the meats and cheeses presented! One of the better meat and cheese boards around, if you ask us. The first course for the 3-course meal was the Winter Squash Toast. This seasonal vegetable toast had so much flavor! Just imagine the creamy and sweet winter squash purée melts into the crunchy toast and as you bite you go from creamy and sweet to savory of the bacon, tart of the currant vinaigrette, to tang of the pickled onions. Did we mention this one was bursting with flavor? It's so complex and really tasty! The second course was the 60 South Salmon. This one is a beautiful plate and just as beautiful tasting. The English pea purée is creamy and a little earthy that pairs perfectly with the tender salmon. Sitting in the middle of the salmon, the brussel sprouts are cooked just right and mixed with foraged mushrooms. This rounds out the flavors of earthy, crispy, and a richness. Such a good dish, and a great portion! Must try. The third course was the Buttermilk Cake. Not too sweet, not too rich, this moist and delicate cake has a warm and buttery caramel on top of a boozy Rumchatta cream. Those dynamic flavors are well balanced with the addition of strawberries for tartness and almonds and pecans for a crunch. What's better than good food is always good company, we enjoyed talking to Mac, the GM, and our waiter about all things wine and beer. They have an amazing staff, stellar menu, and top-notch drinks. We can't wait to sit on their amazing patio when the weather gets warmer. We'll have to get the Albarino Reserva again and try a new bite or two. What would you like to try? read more

Best restaurant and experience in Old Roswell, by far!! The owner, Phillip Cooper (Coop) is deeply involved with day to day operations, and knows his wine better than anyone else in the ATL. VIN25 lives up to it's name, as they always keep at least 25 wines available by the glass... They keep some of the popular favorites, but overall offer an amazing variety of wines from around the world. The renevated quaint little house is adorable inside, but it is the patio that is hard to leave once you find your seat under the beautiful and ancient pecan tree, or around the fire pit. Next time you are in Roswell, stop in... You will NOT be disappointed!! read more

Great dining experience! Listening to blues music; a bottle of wine; eating great food; and sitting outside under a shaded tree on a warm lazy summers afternoon . The "life is good" feeling is what I was experiencing at this moment. They make a great hummus appetizer that you must try (ate it so fast I forgot to take a pick). It was just the right flavor and portion to drink with wine to get you prepared for the main course. The two entree's had very different but good seasoning styles so depending on your taste buds you may want to choose accordingly. The steak Diane has more of a rich well seasoned flavor (which I like) where there is there is the right amount of salt use to give the tender meat some soul. The chicken had more of a clean light creamy taste (which was also good) that blended well with the dish and represented the nostalgic mood a bit more clearly. They have a very friendly and down to earth staff and waiters (although there was one female waitress that was a bit too over enthusiastic but meant well - bless her heart). One suggestion I would give is to add some fans for the outdoor dining to create just the right amount of breeze for those hot summer days. Overall it was a very cool dining experience that I thoroughly enjoyed. read more

I am so disappointed. Not because the quality or ambiance changed, but because it's clear that they couldn't give a rats a$$ about their customers any longer. We've been here 6 times, and most of those visits have been really good. This last time showed us that they are most concerned with the average check, than with how they are perceived by regular customers. Overcharged by the manager, and a poor explanation by him to boot. We will find someplace else to spend our money. Makes me sad to leave you, but this is what bad management and poor decisions get you. Take good care of your regular customers and they will keep coming back. Overcharge then and treat them poorly and they will never come back. Best of luck to you Vin25 read more

I would like to start off by saying the food was fantastic. If the staff would be just as fantastic I would give 5 stars easily. My 6 friends and I all had drinks at the bar and then were seated. We were told they could transfer our drinks to our table. Apparently they didn't know how to do that. We had a great night with great food until some blonde girl that worked the bar came over with the BIGGEST attitude. She decided to tell us it was taking them forever to get our checks because we are trying to split them. I told her no worries we aren't in any rush. She then went on and on about how it's impossible to split checks and we should have never have asked to do that. Meanwhile there are only 5 tables in the whole place.. get your act together lady. About 3 mins later she then slams the whole check on the table and says YOU NEED TO SPLIT THIS! I called the manager over and explained that we didn't want to split the check and the lady was being extremely rude about the whole thing. He did absolutely nothing about it. RUDE RUDE RUDE. I would get rid of her instantly. You will lose many customers with someone like her. She wasn't even our server. Needless to say I paid $70 for my $20 meal. (A beer and I split a dinner). read more

A cute little house wine bar and charming patio (which is difficult to score a seat on even with reservations on the weekends). There are much better places to have dinner in Roswell. My meal was average. We actually did not like the short rib stuffed peppers appetizer. The pictures make this place look better than it is. I was disappointed. read more

Excellent wine bar with great food and service! Came here for pre-birthday celebrations and they did not disappoint. We walked in early right when they opened at around 5 PM and literally 3 different people greeted us! Got seated shortly thereafter and ordered some wine and the meat and cheese platter. Holy crap this was the mother of all meat and cheese platters! Had all sorts of honeys, jams, nuts, etc. along with meats and cheeses. Soooo yummy. The wait staff recommended great wines since we are clearly newbies and again they didn't disappoint. You can also order half glasses so good to know. It did get a little loud as the dinner crowd came in but still, the wait staff were highly attentive and super nice. Overall, solid wine bar in downtown Roswell and we will be coming back! read more

My wife and I visited Vin 25 for a Valentine's dinner and had an extremely positive experience. While I've never been a fan of wine bars I really enjoyed my time here. My favorite thing about the restaurant was the quaint feeling of the inside. It felt rustic but not a trendy rustic that you often see replicated today. We started our meal with drinks and an appetizer of pimento cheese fritters that were paired well with a jalapeño pepper jelly. My wife also raved about her glass of wine with dinner. We both had the bacon wrapped pork tenderloin on top of a purée with a small bed of greens. The pork was cooked and portioned perfectly. read more

I have been wanting to come here so bad ever since we moved to Johns Creek and just never got around to it. Finally got to hop by this Saturday afternoon before going to dinner. We sat outside and it was everything I expected and more. Place is really becoming on the inside but the outdoor patio is where it's at. I was sad that we weren't able to stay until the sun set, as I'm sure the patio looks absolutely gorgeous with all the hanging lights and fireplace. On to the wine... Delicious! And their cheese plate is phenomenal as well. My wife and daughter visited Vin 25 Saturday for an early dinner. We live right downtown and it's a short walk to a wonderful meal. But lately the price has been ridiculous. More specifically my daughter had the kids Alfredo with chicken. This dish is $12 but I didn't realize that a kids piece of chicken was $14. This brings a kids meal to $26 without a drink. $14 for a single half breast of chi Vin 25 has good food and a great staff. But lately it feels as if the prices are getting worse. $134 for 2 adults and a kid. We brought our own wine which constituted a $25 corkage fee (on the high end of corkage). UPDATE RESPONSE: Management states their additional COST is $12 for chicken? Really, then you are getting fleeced. I will be happy to come assist in cutting you cost significantly with organic range free chicken at much less than $12 a breast. Do you automatically assume people are unintelligent? read more

Overall 4.5 stars based ease for parking, prompt service, attention and quality of food. We were a party of 7, ordered some drinks early to wait for the remainder of our guests to arrive. They have a nice outside space and patio with a gas fire pit and chairs to drink, mingle and the staff kept checking on us which is a nice touch. We ended up ordering the meat and chartrudrie along with cheese plate and fat bread to start. The dishes were well plated and had unique tastes such as chocolate truffled Almonds but for $12 and $18, pricing wise the plates were a little on small side, taste wise had some elements of surprise but nothing that blew us away. The flat bread dish was beautiful but wasn't practical to eat or share. It was thin crackers which were tasty with the combo but hard to eat, we suggest pre-cut crackers or actual flat bread . For entrees we got the chicken, duck, beef Wellington and lamb sliders. Everything really Delicious and cooked to temp. Overall food, quality, parking and service 5 stars. The early greeting from not sure his roll lol, maybe reception/hospitality greeter, he was highly sarcastic which isn't bad but since this was our first visit, not sure we fully appreciated it, wasn't a good way to start the night, however, he kind of grew on us. "Never touch my vine." -- French Kiss (1995) Ahhh Vin 25, such high expectations. If nothing else you made my experience an adventure. So let's start with the positives - a great atmosphere sitting outside on a Fall night with a fire pit behind us and heat lamps all around with votives on the table. The chairs were comfy (outdoors they are usually so hard and painful to sit in) and the table was gorgeous (curious what they do with them when it rains). Our waiter was nice (forgot to get his name) and didn't seem too phased that 3 of the 6 of us opted against wine - weird I know. I wasn't feeling it, one of us cannot have any alcohol, and the 3rd is doing it for dietary reasons. I think waiters have learned not to react to these things. As we looked over the menu, immediately what popped up for all of us was the Mushroom, Bacon and Cheese Arancinis (Fried Risotto Balls for those of you not in the know). And with all 4 members of the Fritter Fan Club sitting at the table - these were a must. Only question was, how many come in an order? 5. So 2 plates please. They were served with a garlic aioli and a spiced red pepper sauce (going off my palate since the menu didn't say anything and our waiter didn't offer up any explanation). Next up the salads and entrees. I opted for the arugula salad and pointed it to him on the menu. Turns out there are two, so he had to come back and ask me which one - so I guess he was busy writing and not looking at me gesturing. The salad was an arugula salad with wild mushrooms, shaved Parmesan cheese, and a lemon vinaigrette. Funny, and you will find a theme, there also seemed to be some dried cranberries on the plate (not listed on the menu). So for my entree, I had a tough time deciding between the lamb (ask Heidi P and she will tell you that I will always pick the lamb) and the short-rib (yeah, I will always pick the short-rib too). Ahh the dilemma. Well hindsight says I should have picked lamb, but oh no wait, 2 others at the table got the lamb, and I tasted it, and we were all disappointed. It was a braised lamb shank - so kudos for the meat being super tender and falling off the bone, but seriously it was so cooked that it had NO lamb flavor. In a taste test, I would never had said lamb - which is really disappointing. The polenta cake that came with it though - spot ON. Obviously, I went with door number 2 - the Brass-town Short Rib, root vegetable salad, sauteed spinach, balsamic reduction, dried cranberries. Now, I have copied and pasted from the online menu for a reason - this was the EXACT description from the paper menu I was handed at the restaurant. I want to point out another menu item as well before I go on: Frisee, white wine poached pear, candied pecans, bleu cheese, cardamom & vanilla, pear vinaigrette There was also something listed on the paper menu last night that said walnuts (possibly walnut vinaigrette. The rest of my night is a bit fuzzy - I'll explain why. I received my beautifully cooked short rib atop the spinach and root veggie salad with the balsamic reduction strewn about the plate. It was pretty for sure. I could barely wait to dig in and luckily I started from the sides and ate mostly the beef first. As I dug through the beef, I finally hit the spinach - and man do I love spinach. I got a piece of spinach and it was perfectly sauteed - not gooey or overdone, still with a bite to it. Next up a bite of meat with some root veggie salad - which had an odd crunch and what seemed to be peppercorns...raw peppercorns. Odd, and not at all tasty...until I realized. And foul words came pouring from my mouth as I realized there had to be tree nuts on this plate. Tree nuts NOT listed anywhere on the menu for this item - WTH. So, I moved my short rib from the top of the sides and there, was a pile of pecan halves. between the meat and the salad of root veggies. Now I ask you, since when is a pecan a root vegetable? My friends all froze in panic, and asked me where my epi-pens were. In the car, of course (stupid Lindy), but luckily pecans are one of the least offensive in my allergy list, and so far only mild reaction was felt. Here is my point - if you call it out in multiple places on the menu - which you SHOULD as it is a highly allergic item and many people have this affliction, then call it out EVERYWHERE. And if it was a last minute WHIM of the chef, then the waiter needs to tell people. But if that is the case, then, shame on the chef. BTW, spent the night in the ER. Part way home realized I was having trouble breathing, was disoriented and by the time I got to the hospital, was not able to breathe at all. Looking into that neck tattoo and allergy business cards to pass to every waiter from here on out. Not sure I would go back thanks to their hidden ingredients. But if you are allergy-free, check it out. read more

It rained earlier -- actually poured -- so we were unable to dine outside as planned. Darn! But no matter. Had a lovely b'day dinner for my husband, with friends. Too many of us ordered pork chops and the kitchen ran out, so I switched to scallops. Everything was delish, including Jack's grilled rib eye filet, butterflied. (The pork chop eaters particularly enjoyed their accompanying block of mac-n'-cheese.) We all started with salad -- loved the wedge w/blue cheese -- and for dessert, a multi-person person tasting tray of everything they make. As the name indicates, wine is Vin 25's thing, and the extensive list covers virtually anything anyone would want. Ended up with a $40 domestic cab, that was spot on. Do they serve flights? I don't know. But I'd love to come back for a late afternoon wine and cheese, particularly when the weather's conducive for an al fresco repast. read more

Fabulous/classy find in Roswell!!! Vin25 does not accept reservations for parties under 6 but we were pleased when greeted by owner Sara Cooper on Saturday night at 7:30 with our name on the preferred seating list. We didn't have to wait long for our table which was located in front of the fireplace hearth that was decorated with a row of votive candles and trendy decor. Best table in the house! Server was attentive and knowledgeable about entree ingredients. Offering small tastes from their wine list is so helpful to those who are not wine connoisseurs. We started our dining experience with the mushroom bacon risotto arancini. My husband had the lamb bone in special and I had the sea scallops. The lamb was deliciously moist and fell off the bone. My scallops were seared to perfection and the flavor from the risotto and bacon blended nicely. We ended the evening by trying the pumpkin spiced doughnuts. About 6 balls of fried goodness served with a small helping of homemade vanilla bean ice cream and a raspberry/chocolate sauce was devine!!! I never eat doughnuts but was convinced to try the house favorite and was not disappointed. This place will truly stand out from the other establishments.!! read more

This is a very chill place in downtown Roswell with a great selection of wines curated by Philip, the owner. He has a passion for small, boutique wineries and has stocked his cellar accordingly. We sat outside around the fire pit on a recent evening to sip wine and snack on charcuterie. We enjoyed our happy hour so much that we returned after dinner for a nightcap. As a Californian, I was impressed with the selection of wines that represented many of the California wine regions from the Santa Ynez Valley in the south all the way to the Anderson Valley in the North. I really like Vin 25 and I'll make sure that I return the next time that I'm in Atlanta on business. read more

Off the beaten path in Roswell - unfortunately that's what took us two years to get there. What a waste of potential culinary fulfillment! Some available parking (rare in Roswell), yet close to the action makes Vin 25's locale wonderfully unique. But it is the atmosphere - even better during the warm months with an incredible outdoor space - and the food, wine list (obviously), bar, music, service and owners that makes this a 5-star pick for the wife and me. Everything was good - apps, entrees, drinks, wine, aperitif and dessert. Both servers were knowledgable, attentive, but casual. Owners care about your experience and were actively engaged with diners. Interior space is visually interesting and appealing. Outdoor space has many seating areas and options. Bring a sweater and sit near the fire pit or under the heaters if it is still chilly in the evening. Lights strung overhead are a nice touch. Very good music the night we were there - jazzy, bluesy vocals, keys and harmonica. Overall, Vin 25 met every criteria we look for in an evening out - not just the restaurant itself, but a complete evening of shopping, eating and relaxing outdoors to music. What a delightful place! With very accommodating staff!!! Four of us arrived early to start our cocktails, and we had planned to stay for dinner, which we did. We started at the bar, and they were most accommodating in letting us try several wines before we ordered full glass...and the pours are generous too. Most wines are about $9-10/glass, and the straight up vodka was only $5. After a few wines, we sat down at a table for dinner. Baby wedge salad @ $6 (half portion) and fennel & Arugula salad @ $5 (again half portion) were both excellent!! Osso bucco, scallops, and shrimp & grits, $20-26, were all delicious. Birthday cake was waiting for us at home, so we passed on dessert. Bottom line: I'll look forward to returning, for more of the same and new tastes!!! read more

The ambience is romantic and relaxing. Love the outdoor patio: plenty of seating, chairs are comfortable, relaxing live music, and the lights are lovely. The service is outstanding. We were accommodated and looked after from the minute we walked up to the minute we left. The staff is knowledgeable about the menu and gave us some great recommendations. Our only gripe is that the menu is a bit pretentious and difficult to understand; you don't know quite what you're ordering unless you ask. Beautiful atmosphere. Underwhelming food. The fried shrimp had large delicious shrimp, but the batter was so heavy and oily. If they were fried at right temperature, they shouldn't be wet, doughy greasy mess. I almost wished the shrimp weren't ruined and served in mush more simple way. Or be fried right. The same can be said with their toast with pesto and grilled peach, which I enjoyed the concept, but it was way too greasy. read more

I don't know why it took us so long to find Vin 25! The dining room is rustic and quaint, the service is adept, and the food is fantastic! The menu is small and changes regularly. There were a few protien dishes on the menu and lots of options for vegetarians. We had a great charcuterie board & arancini for starters (both really good). Entrees were awesome: homemade pasta with walnut pesto and mushrooms, and scallops with squash risotto. Both also very good. The dessert of homemade donuts and green tea icecream were divine, although the waiter described the donuts as "beignet like" and they were nothing like any beignet I've ever had. They were more like a cake donut. The only downside is that they were out of a some of the wines we wanted (and this is a wine bar, hello). We will definitely go back! read more

My husband and I returned to try the menu by their new Chef Edgar Cruz. I was excited to return to this charming spot under the old trees off of Plum Tree St. in old Roswell. I had the Chef's special which was salmon on a bed of green lentils. It was absolutely delicious. My husband had the pork and his only complaint that there wasn't more. We both had a glass of white wine from Oregon, which never disappoints. What I like about Vin 25 is that it is off the road and nestled on quiet Plum Tree Street. You can sit outside under the large oak trees. They are pet friendly, which is a must, and the service is excellent. I can't wait to go back now that the weather is getting cooler...did I also mention they have a fire pit? read more

Absolutely great experience recommended some great wine, we ended up cancelling our res at the other place and enjoyed another bottle of wine and food here. THE CUTEST WINE BAR IN THE SOUTHEAST US We were in Roswell for a wedding and not knowing the area, found this place thanks to yelp & its great reviews. It was a bonus this place was the cutest place I've ever seen. With its stone rock house and lights stringing to the fence, Vin 25 is straight out of a fairytale. The service was superb. Quick to answer and questions and refer you to the best cocktail or plate. Food: we split a few appetizers and chose.. - pimento cheese balls (I could eat these all day, everyday) - flatbread: very different from your normal flat bread (not in a bad way). Crispy flatbread and fresh cheese, tomato & dresses up lettuce on top. - duck confit: my first time having duck. Pretty tasty. Can't go wrong with an egg on top of anything. Drinks: their Moscow mule is one of their famous cocktails and one of my favorite drinks so I had to try it. Definitely a great choice. I must say I was impressed by the size of the salad because it was huge for a child. It would be great as a size salad for an adult. I think that's why I most find myself not going there - is the dining and bar areas aren't super to my liking, I like bright and airy feeling venues. But they do have some live music and specials every day during the week that do make it appealing to be here different days otherwise which is brilliant marketing.

If I'm crazing their burgers on a blustery day - I'd probably come back to the Roswell one.

Great place the first time I went two years ago, great place still. The waiters and owner remember you once you've been there a couple of times, they know their food and wine, and they keep coming back to check on you. This is an owner who obviously keeps putting his money back into the place - since they opened, they've improved the acoustics in the rather noisy main room, increased the size of the lovely patio, and added a firepit. We sat outside last night for a couple of glasses of wine, and not one staffer mentioned that we might be nuts since it was about 45 degrees. They just lit the firepit and the heaters, and took great care of us as always. Jazz outdoors on the patio on warm evenings - wonderful atmosphere. Went to Vin25 last night and LOVED IT! This is such a nice wine bar that is far from stuffy and a new hidden gem of Roswell near Canton Street. :) Outside has a nice courtyard seating area and the inside was warm and welcoming. I had an amazing pinot noir (suggested by the owner) along with some local cheeses and tasty cured meats. My husband and I shared a lamb dish that was delicious (and I'm not usually a fan of lamb). We finished our meal with a bacon maple donut and ice cream dessert that was amazing! YUM! I'm excited to tell my girlfriends about this spot for girls' night out or go back for a nice romantic date night with my husband! We will definely be back soon! read more

Thank you, Chef! As a vegan foodie, I struggle to find good options in Alpharetta/Roswell/Milton. I asked if the chef could make me whatever vegan hot plate he wanted last night for my dinner, that included some protein. He made the most incredible dinner for me! Freaking amazing! Should be in the menu! I am eternally grateful! This has to be one of the best restaurants I have ever eaten at. Amazing fresh ingredients, home made pasta of the day, Home made flatbread with local farm toppings. The only issue is not enough seating, the word is out. Come early or some late for a better chance at a seat if you forgot to make a reservation ahead of time. As it is just off downtown Roswell, get a reservation and go for a nice walk in the historic city while you wait its worth it. read more

Had girls night out at Vin25 recently and had a great time - food, drinks and service were all fantastic. Our server Troy was knowledgeable on all menu items and appropriate wine. The atmosphere made the night even more enjoyable. If it had not been raining we would have loved to spend time on the fabulous patio. Coop, the owner, always makes time to visit each table and ensure everything is perfect. I highly recommend Vin25! read more

Dinner and drinks with a friend with a great environment. The host/manager let me in before opening as I am always early and I got to eavesdrop on their bartender/mixologist reviewing the new drink menu with staff. Education is so important. Really enjoyed the beet salad and our server Carl was even cooler than his handlebar stache. Thanks for the great service Carl and team, we will definitely be back! read more

This is the best restaurant in Roswell. The win selection is second to none, and the chef is amazing. They menu changes all of the time based upon what is in season. The Flat Bread special is the best item to start with as it changes almost ever day based upon what the chef has on had from the local market. read more
