Try your spaghetti without it first and then sprinkle a little at a time if you wanna try some. It too is very stanky. What hasn't been said about Vince's. I've been coming to the Ontario location since I was about 8 years old. After we played hockey across the street at the Ontario Ice Rink. The location has been here for years and is the original location. Parking is tight and enough for about 80+ vehicles. Handicap stalls are about two maybe three. No steps but a good slight incline down towards the front door. Wait room inside for about 10 (Mostly waiting for take out and outside for about 20-25) As you wait for a table you can smell the food and it smells so goood !!! When your inside your always greeted by a friendly maître d'. There are four rooms and they have a banquet room too. (Reservations are required) The front area are booths (About 10-12). The middle room are mixed with booths (About 7-8) and tables for About (10-12). The back room are for the largest parties mostly with small children ( Approximately 20-25 tables and chairs and (5-7 booths) That's what it seemed like the one and only we were back there. We useably sit in the front locations because the noise level can get elevated at times. A lot of pasta !! The kitchen is always busy and the servers are fast to keep up with the flow. Food hardly ever sits in the window before it swooped up and taken to your table HOT VERY HOT !!! Spaghetti is there specialty but they do have a host of other great food items to try. They also have what's called a "Full" order and "Half" order. Don't let the half order fool you. ITS A LLLOOOOTTT of food on the half plate of spaghetti with meat sauce. Meatballs are very tasty and HOT !! I usually get the half order spaghetti with meat sauce and one or two meatballs. Cheese or Garlic bread and a very nice plain salad with your choice of dressing and a drink.... Vince's Spaghetti has been my family restaurant for decades and I still love coming here. The food is always consistently good, great prices, and great staff. You have to love a family run business that has had the same employees for years. It really is amazing to see the same employees here over so many years. I always order the half dinner with meat sauce, garlic bread, and ranch dressing on my salad. Let me tell you, this is homemade ranch dressing and they aren't shy about adding the dressing. If you don't like your salad swimming, ask for dressing on the side. I love it! Your meal also comes with a soup that I have bought by the gallon. Very tasty and I can remember my son when he was young always looking for the big carrot in his soup (only happened one time, but he was excited to find a large piece of carrot). Their bread is made fresh and always hot so make sure to enjoy that right away with your meal. The spaghetti is always great and for me almost always too much. I know I said I get a half order because the full order is massive! Great to get if you want leftovers because no one is eating all of it. My wife and daughter have always got the tomato sauce spaghetti and enjoyed it but I can't really speak for how good that is. But I can tell you my picky daughter always loves when we bring it home. My fiancé had been talking about Vince's for quite a while and finally we got the opportunity to head out to Ontario to check it out. What a wonderful find! You are transported back to a wonderful family style Italian restaurant with great staff and a pretty simple menu. The portion sizes are massive! I have the half order of spaghetti with meat sauce and a salad. If you LOVE cheese- have them add it. The house salad was a cheese fest of shredded provolone and the cheese mountain continued on the pasta. The prices were fantastic and I can't wait to head back there! read more

Drove out to eat at Vince's just cause I'm a foodie and I have to try it. Vince's is what it is and I love that about the place. Established in 1945, the food and seasoning is of that era. Their lasagna tastes like my mom's lasagna. Is that a good thing? Eh, not really. Their salad is lettuce with dressing and if you let them add cheese, it is covered in a MOUND of cheese god love 'em. The vegetable soup though was really good! The building and layout is reminiscent of a cafeteria and being a fan of old cafeterias, I was into the decor so much. The servers don't carry trays but roll your food out on carts. How can you not love the kitsch of that?! . My server Julie was super nice and attentive. I think she was sad I didn't clean my plate but oh well. Will I go back? Probably not since it's a drive for me. I've done it so I can check it off the list. I've been here a couple of times, and the service has been hit or miss. The atmosphere looks like a basement. The spaghetti is good which is why people still come. If you're a vegetarian, do you have to tell them that you want the vegetarian sauce and not ask for the tomato sauce. I learned the hard way when I got my tomato sauce, spaghetti, and found a little chunks of meat mixed in. The vegetable soup is made with beef broth, my none vegetarian friend said it had nice flavor. I do wish they had an option for soup that didn't have meat. read more

The penne pasta is cheesy galore, and salad is basic but it works. The food at times could use a generous amount of salt and a pinch of sugar like my nonna taught us but again it still hits the spot. I had a meatball sandwich. It was decent, but nothing to write home about. My daughter ordered the lasagna, and she didn't like it. She complained that the meat sauce was not worth the extra $3 over the cost of the tomato sauce. She also needed "more pasta" inside. She considers the Olive Garden's lasagna superior. The plate was very small, even though we paid for an adult full size meal. The spaghetti was very basic. Meatball was an extra $3.25. But, given that the name of the place mentions spaghetti, we all expected much better. (Also given the fact that they don't have other favorites like ravioli or fettuccine). I'm glad we tried it, but won't be coming back. We did see a lot of senior citizens dining here, so I assume the cooking is digestion friendly(?) Vince's is hands down the best spaghetti in the Los Angeles area. I'm not even kidding. I've been coming here since I was a kid in the 80's and nothing has changed. We had the child's pasta, which came with child size pasta (could feed a regular adult), two big pieces of garlic toast, and a soup or salad. We got the veggie soup, which isn't vegetarian or vegan since it is made with beef stock. 8/10 based on my daughter's rating. I give it a 7.5 for the meal. I had the meatball sub with cheese which came with a side of pickles. The meat was juicy but overly salty. The cheese wasn't melted and there wasn't enough sauce on the sub. Honest rating a 6.5/10. The waitress was wonderful and had good customer service. Not a place I will go out of my way to try, but worth a stop if nearby. This place is great. I have been here twice, both time with my girlfriend and her kids. The spaghetti is superb and I always get it with meatballs and sauce on the side. The portions as well are huge. One of the staff that works there during the weekends, Omari, is a great person, especially during Covid. They are being very safe and doing take-out right now. He is extremely helpful and nice on the phone and has helped me out with some orders lately. I appreciate his accommodating me since I have a lot of anxiety about going into places :) The spaghetti meals for dinner will usually allow you to have extra for tomorrow's lunch :) You can get a salad and all-you-want-to drink as well. My family has been eating here since the 1950s. It was always our go-to spot for celebration dinners. Usually great food, friendly service, and reasonable prices. However, over the past two years, everything has gone downhill in a hurry. As I said, we've been eating there for decades, but no one in my family even wants to eat there anymore. I'm not sure if they changed their supplier, but the quality of the meat in their sauce has a lot more "rubbish" in it. Little bits of rubbery tendon, etc. There is no difference between the cheese rolls and the garlic rolls, because the garlic rolls hardly have any garlic on them. The service has gotten progressively worse. If we order takeout, it's wrong almost every time, even when they read the order back to you. I sympathize... I know working in a restaurant is tedious because I've done it myself. However, acting like you would literally rather be anywhere else when dealing with an average customer is a real turnoff for people who are willing to spend their money at your establishment. I don't know if ownership changed, if they cut corners because of trying to survive through covid, or what... but everyone I know has agreed that they'll be out of business within a year or two because it's gotten exponentially worse. I recently dined at Vince's Spaghetti, and while I really wanted to love it, my experience left a lot to be desired. This is maybe the 5th or 6th time eating here (with friends, not on my own choice). Let's start with the food. It was decent but, overall, underwhelming. When you think of lasagna, you imagine generous layers of meat, cheese, and rich flavors. That's not what you get here. Their lasagna is, at best, three layers of cheese and spinach--no meat unless you pay extra for the meat sauce. Of course, it's an additional charge. For $25, I expected a larger portion. Frankly, the slice of lasagna I received was so small that my phone is bigger. The service didn't do much to redeem the experience either. The staff is young and seemed inexperienced. Service was slow. But that's to be expected on weekends but from order to food being received was 50 minutes. That's a bit extreme. For a place with such a long-standing reputation, I truly wanted to like Vince's Spaghetti. But honestly, I just can't enjoy it as much. Vince's has potential, but they seriously need to step it up in both food quality and customer service. read more

Last time I was here was in 2010. So 13 years later, I remember things a little different. Drove here from Anaheim. Spaghetti with one meatball. Large portion, meatball was huge! Loved the meatball, great tasting and texture was just right. Sauce was a little runny for me, maybe because of the noodles? But there was a puddle of water on my plate. Sauce was rich, not sweet. I thought I remembered a sweetness to it. Not at all. Still good though. Pasta was cooked al dente. Cheese bread was just that buttered bread toasted with a little bit of cheese. I was expecting garlic cheese bread? I probably should have ordered the garlic bread. Still good though. Salad was overwhelmed with dressing, I recommend asking for it on the side. I ordered thousand island. It had a strange taste to it, I couldn't put my finger on what it was. But I couldn't eat the salad. Love that you can order a bowl of grated provolone cheese. It goes great on salad, soup, and pasta. Recommend ordering one for your table to share. Soup was the best thing I had there. Very good, fresh and bits of beef and rice. Highly recommend the soup. I have been going to Vince's Spaghetti for 27 years. My dad came here for birthdays for his whole life. His dad went on special occasions for much of his life, too. This place is truly historic, and every time I visit, I drink in the good times and positive residual energy from all the families and individuals who have made this place a staple over the decades. I now live in vegas and make the trek yearly to grab sauce and soup and bread to freeze and cook for myself on rainy days and special occasions. This trip was different than years past because I hadn't been in since pre-COVID times. I had not ever seen it that empty on a Saturday night, but even so the staff was overburdened. There just were enough people working. Even so, the staff maintained the upbeat and customer-oriented atmosphere I've come to expect. I was helped with my take-out order by Omari, who was kind and attentive. I also saw a lot of workers with colored hair and some with tattoos, which made me happy because that means Vince's is still giving jobs to average people like me. Vince's is more than just a restaurant. It's a part of the local community. It's a snapshot of the common man local to Ontario and the surrounding municipalities. It's a place where you can step into your granddad's footprints. And even now, when so much else is uncertain, it's a place where you can expect good service and food that is always up to par. read more

I love places that have been in business longer than I have been alive! Vince's Spaghetti has been around since 1945. That tells me they have been doing something right. This restaurant is the original location. So retro. The old style sign outside beckons with its lighted neon arrow and blinking incandescent light bulbs for you to turn into their ample parking lot. Their menu specialty is simple; spaghetti or mostaccioli with either tomato or meat sauce. The meat sauce is flavorful with a hint of herbs. The meat sauce is very meaty, the way I like it. They don't skimp on the ground meat. You get a choice of garlic or cheese bread to go with the pasta. I got the Vince's Dinner which includes soup and salad with a half order of spaghetti. The half order is generous but get the full order if you want leftovers for tomorrow or if you have a big appetite. I ordered the meal with a meatball which was tender and well seasoned. There is lasagna and sandwiches on the menu, too. The French Dip can be ordered with a choice of garlic or cheese bread or a French roll. The beef in the sandwich is flavorful and tender. The au jus is great for dipping or soaking the toasted bread. The restaurant is huge! It seems to be a labyrinth of dining rooms wherever you go. The interior doesn't look like it has changed much since it opened and I like that. I can envision families in the past having a nice spaghetti dinner there. We've been near weakly customers for the past 15 years. We always get lots of sauce, pasta and soup and spend ~80+ dollars per order. This place has lots of good memories for me and my family but our most recent experience has soured my opinion of this establishment and we are considering ending our long time loyalty. On our most recent trip my grandma went in to pick up our large to go order. In that order we had a GALLON of their soup. Now as we very regularly visit the restaurant we know that it comes with saltine crackers. However, when my grandma asked for crackers the tall middle aged man packing our order told her "they sell crackers at the store". Now I've always experienced good customer service but my grandmother said they were extremely rude to her and she came home upset at how mean the man at the counter was to her and she even said that a nice waitress looked shocked at their interaction and gave her some crackers in our bag. I'm horrified that my older Asian grandmother was treated this way at a place that I've always enjoyed. If they show discriminatory treatment to their customers it's an establish that I will be eliminating from our family restaurant rotation. read more

Why am I hearing from the Temecula manager that their owner can't get ahold of her family in Ontario to sort out the gift card issue? Your family drama should not impact customers. I love this restaurant! They have such a great sauce and homey vibe here. I usually get the full-sized spaghetti dinner with meat sauce. The portions are a great size, and my leftovers are excellent when reheated the next day. The dinner also comes with a vegetable soup (also delicious), a side salad, and bread. I always get the toasted garlic roll (which has garlic and Parmesan cheese on it). Service has also always been excellent.
