If you're planning on picking up your pizza, I would suggest calling directly to place your order. It'll save you a few bucks. We got a medium Vinny's Special and it was just the right size for two people. However, the pizza was lackluster. I thought back to my time in NY and the pizza there and this wasn't anything near the same. The crust was soggy and the toppings didn't hold onto the pizza at all. Personally, it was average at best. Let me tell you about my $49 pizza and salad I ordered. Last Sunday (April 17) I ordered a large pizza with multiple meats extra meat in fact, extra toppings and extra extra extra cheese, where from other places cheese would be swimming, and the two slices below reflect the best slices from the pie. Vinny's is a friendly unpretentious neighbor hood pizza parlor. It is on Yelp's Cash Back and several Rewards Network list of affiliated restaurants, which is how I found it. Located in street mall, there is a good amount of parking stalls available. There is one counter and a handful of tables inside, I wouldn't be surprised if the majority of customers are from the neighborhood picking up. They have a good number of pies in the window, which you can order slices from. I've enjoyed several of their lunch specials- a two slice and their slice and salad. The two slices were under $9 with tax and a quarter of a large pizza- very value oriented. They don't have a brick oven, but their pizza is nice, has a thin crust, and is very crispy. Vinny's is a good place to enjoy if I'm staying in the area, or want a quick bite before I head to LAX. Recommend and will repeat! read more

It's too bad that Vinny's pizza was sold. I always get the one slice of pizza and a caesar salad special and it was horrible today. I asked for onions and mushrooms on the top and they came raw on top of the cheese pizza. The Caesar salad had wilted lettuce instead of crisp romaine as I have had every time in the past. Drop down a paragraph...for the rest...Well here's why...because the photo in their menu looked good enough for me and i was to busy enjoying the meal to think of photographing it. I like their pizza a lot but last night I changed it up and ordered a fettuccini pasta dish with a sidea meats balls and it was great, reminded me of a real home cooked meal and the portion was generous enough for two persons...or two nights. The fettuccini pasta was cooked great, their alfredo sauce had a mild cream and deep buttery flavor in a traditional home-cooked sense...the broccoli was vibrant-green and crisp and the chicken was tender. I'll order that dish again in the future for certain. The tomato gravy (tomato based sauce) used in the side of meatballs had ingredients that I've only had in northeast coast family recipes bringing me back to being a child at my grandparent's table. To the point where I thought I was gonna be silenced for speaking to much at the dinner table. I'm looking forward to finishing last nights round two of fettuccine...I think the noodles really took in that flavor by now! (Update: 2nd night leftovers were excellent...reheated very low flame, a bit of water, in a mostly lid-covered saucepan) I thought they were known for their pizza but after last night for me it's their pasta also. The skinny on the cannoli? Only thing is...where's the cannoli on the dessert menu? Just the regular plain and crisp shell with sweet filling and maybe a few chocochips in the filling (not those grossly over-chocolated modern day cannoli candy bars some places serve to their reluctant patrons). Maybe it's just that not many people ordering know or have sought to know what makes up a good cannoli or what a cannoli is? Most likely the restaurant is sampling the best recipe to meet their standards which is understandable considering how good their pasta and pizza is. Had a Togo order tonight that was not worth the wait that I had or the money spent. Pizza was ok for being reheated. Really disappointed in the large order of garlic knots. They say there is oil on it and supposed to be cheese and garlic. I received pieces of bread and a couple pieces of garlic. Will think of somewhere else to go for dinner from now on. These guys make the best antipasto salad anywhere. The big difference is that they chop everything so you can get some of everything in every bite. Plus their Italian dressing is really good and brings out the flavors of the ingredients. I leave off the pepperchinis as they overwhelm the flavor. The pizza itself is overly greasy; the prices are not reasonable unless you want to order 2 or more whole pies for a 'discount.' The employees are standoffish; disinterested. It's not like it used to be. My family used to love Vinny's but i don't know what has happened lately but it's like no one cares about quality (or reading what the order is). I'm a vegetarian and i love that pepperoncini is an option but I've ordered it twice before and gotten pepperoni and so i stopped ordering from Vinny's for months. Tonight i was like let's try (because i did like their pizza), and again, i got a pepperoni pizza. The delivery guy got to my house 50 minutes after the latest time i was quoted (i called and was told the driver left a while ago). The pizza was cold and he left it at the door and ran away before i could even pick up the pizza from outside my door.
