Drove 2 hours from San Diego to see a BMW 540i. I had been "somewhat" in contact with Kia and Jairo for a week letting them know I had interest in coming up to see the vehicle via e-mails. Due to protests I ended up holding off a few days but made them fully aware I would come up to see the car. I stopped getting replies to my e-mail after that. The day before I was coming up I couldn't get a hold of anyone, I had requested to get additional photos of the front and rear bumpers' because they were blurry online when you zoom in. I got nothing. The car has been listed since March but they didn't seem to caring much to sell it --- I ended up making the trip ( I had a list of cars to see in the LA/OC area) and stopped here first because I was very interested in the vehicle which was listed a reasonable price, I wasn't even going to haggle the price. I walked around the small lot for about 5-8 minutes, inspected the car from the outside but never got approached. Finally walked in to get some attention but I felt like I was in their way instead. The guy gave me the keys willingly to check out (which is why I didn't give one star), he let me just have my time with it. But seemed like he was getting a new car dropped off, he didn't really care much for me and there legit was no other customers there to help out. Made my way off the lot pretty fast after sitting in the car for two minutes . Bad vibes and very disappointed. The other half of this, their website offers getting value for a trade-in. When I let him know of my interest and letting him know I had a trade in, he quickly told me they do not take trade in's at all because they have no money. Maybe take it down from the website as an option? All in all, the guy seemed bugged about something rather than me being there as a customer. He didn't even try and sell to me, he had no interest of talking to me. For someone who claims to not have money, you would think they'd try harder to make a sale. Ended up buying a 2022 BMW 540i from a dealership in Downey, paid a little more than I wanted but at least they tried and got the Gen 2 B58 so at least the day ended good. read more

After seeing in person the used car listed for sale, noted that the car had 3 aftermarket parts installed, and the online listing falsely advertised FSD when it was just a trial for a month. Nice enough salesman and owner superficially, but associate was frustrated with discussion and ended up hanging up the phone in another discussion. Some cheesy tactics like demanding a signature to try to fix malfunctioning aftermarket add-ons, and upselling digital license plates. Overall negative and a honestly a little unsafe vibes, but maybe not all unexpected for a used car dealership selling cars that may attract people wanting to look fancier than they really are, if you catch my drift. After just a week of driving the x5 that I got from them, the engine light turned on. I texted one of their agents and he said it may not be a big problem which I should have not taken it lightly because when I brought it to Long Beach BMW for diagnostic purposes they found out that the car has countless faulty equipments/entire engine is nonfunctional & I was told it's not safe to drive & I had to pay an arm and a leg to get it fixed. Biggest mistake in purchasing it with VIP Auto House. I have been buying my BMWs from South Bay & LB BMW. I should have not trusted these people. My son and I visited VIP Auto House on Feb 2023. My son had one particular vehicle he was interested in which was a 2012 BMW 335is coupe. I'm not a mechanic but I know a fair amount about powertrains. I've always owned Toyota/Lexus so my BMW knowledge was lacking. I inspected the engine bay and didn't see any leaks of any kind. I looked at the brakes/wheels and underneath the car for any visible damage and found it to be in perfect shape. Damage underneath a vehicle can give you some insight into how hard a car was previously driven. Brake Rotors weren't scarred and looked good. Interior and Exterior were in near perfect aesthetic condition. We started the car at the dealership and it sounded very clean. We used the iDrive inside the car to check to sensors and fluid levels and everything was green. Took it for a test drive and it drove very nicely. I did feel a slight lobe at idle while were driving and told my son I was concerned about it but long story short we moved forward with the purchase. The buying experience was pleasant, no high pressure sales and I felt it was all very professional. Had all of my questions answered with no BS, I got straight answers to everything so the whole process was comfortable. We drove away with my son's first car the same day and he was on cloud 9! Be well advised that purchasing a vehicle from VIP Auto House is "AS-IS" NO WARRANTY OF ANY KIND. My past experience has been that these small used car dealerships typically give a 90 day warranty but not here so take care to do your diligence. They only sell high end cars that are expensive to repair so the risk here is very high in my opinion. ***We've had this car for less than a month *** Post-Purchase Issues Tires and Wheels * The first thing we did after getting back home was take it to tire shop for a tire rotation and balance. The tire shop (America's Tire) informed us that all 4 rims were bent and should be replaced. Any vehicle with low profile tires and large 19" rims is probably going to have bent rims after 11 years because they take so much punishment from the road without much cushion from the tire so I wasn't shocked to hear this. It's not a show stopper, the car doesn't vibrate or anything and it's perfectly safe to drive. Replacing all 4 BMW rims is in the neighborhood of $5k or more. Next we took it to alignment shop and got a 4 wheel alignment. It was pretty far out of alignment but no other issue there, that's just maintenance. Engine We had used car inspection done at the local BMW dealership. Result was a small oil pan leak and front shocks starting to leak. Typical for an 11 year old vehicle and doesn't render it undrivable. About a week ago the car started misfiring, running very rough when the engine was cold but would smooth out after it was warmed up. The condition got worse so we took it a local Euro mechanic. It took them a few day to diagnose the problem but it turned out to be a bad fuel injector. The shop ended up changing the spark plugs and replacing the bad injector which was around $1,100 dollars. Car is running fine now. Conclusion So you might be wondering why the 4 star review given the issues? Bottom line the car is sold As-Is. The responsibility of making a good purchase all falls on your shoulders. If you're considering a purchase similar to this one, do your homework and take a mechanic with you to inspect the car. If you don't know any mechanics go to a shop and offer to pay a mechanic an hour of time to come with you to the dealership, it's worth a few bucks. Expect to have problems with any used car you buy, especially high end cars that are complicated. In my case the bad injector and bent rims were not issues easy to spot. A mechanic can only do a visual and drive inspection of a car. To have known the injector was bad ahead of time would have required a scan tool to read the car's computer and see that Cylinder 5 had a rich mixture which just isn't a practical inspection option in the purchasing stage. So yes, we've a had a couple of hiccups and I expected that. Is it possible that VIP Auto knew about the problem and sold it this way on purpose? I suppose it is but there's no way to know that. Bottom line is that my son is happy with it and whoa! is it fun to drive! I might have to get myself one of these! Hope this information helps someone else! read more

I went to another dealership who let me test drive before pulling credit and signing paperwork. I ended up buying the car from the other dealership. Beware that if you're cross shopping cars, having them pull credit before you buy can lower your credit score and you won't qualify for a good rate when financing. read more

The f82 drove amazing so i ended up purchasing, not only were the honest professionals but they had me in and out in an hour and some change . on my way home the caliber seized on the rotor i almost through up from being so stressed on the side of the free way as i thought i'd be on my own since i didn't purchase a warranty but after a call they told me too have it towed back too the dealer we'll pay you back for the tow and they'd fix the car free of charge. They stuck too their word and paid me back for the tow and repaired the vehicle with zero questions asked. What else could you ask for.
