Do not go here, we came in ONLY for a smog check, only to be told to follow the mechanic to the back where they had our car up on a lift and the wheels off for a "free" tire rotation. When our sports car has larger tires in the rear to which you can see without a lift DOES NOT need a rotation. They also tried to get us to repair our front struts/shocks, unbeknownst to them months ago have been replaced already. I was so annoyed that they had the car on the lift without asking, because the low profile the lift, lifted a piece of the body ever so slightly to be dislodged. They should have never placed our car on the lift without our permission... all for a smog check not to mention a 15minute check took us 1hr of waiting. Again DO NOT GO HERE they will try to upsell and make up incorrect diagnostics. read more

Came in for a smog, and they put my truck on the lift and recommend me a bunch of crap I don't need, wasted an hour of my life just for a smog that should've been only 10mins, I never authorized them to inspect my truck, only for a smog, but now they just try to scam you with a bunch of parts you don't need, beware because they will waste your time, put your car on the lift without asking you and rotate your tires without telling you, pull you out back to tell you a load of bullcrap about what you need on your car, and persist you on doing the work, and if you can't say you can't afford it, they'll we take payments from affirm or snap, when sometimes the repairs worth more than the car, if you go here WATCH YOUR CAR AT ALL TIMES, but honestly save yourself the headache and go somewhere else, I wasted my time so you don't, and if your scared if you need that stuff, go get a second opinion from another shop. They have a coupon for $9.99 which is $10 to $15 less than others, so it is a heck of a deal. It took about 50 minutes to get it done even though there was no one in front of me. They look over the car to see what else needs to be done in an attempt to upsell you, but it was easy enough to just say thank you and I will think about it. read more

On Valentine's Day last week, I went to USA Auto Service for a routine oil change. The cashier at the front desk was courteous and friendly. After my oil change, a mechanic took me to my car and said I needed a cooling service, which cost 130.00 because I had no fluid. I informed the mechanic that I didn't have time and would return after my trip. The mechanic replied, " It will only take twenty minutes, plus you don't want your car to overheat." It seemed odd that they would say I had no fluid in my car because my car had not overheated, and within the last year, I had extensive work done to my car that included having all the hoses and radiator replaced and the gasket rebuilt. I held firm and opted not to get the cooling service done. However, on my way to a clothing store, I stopped by Best Value Automotive since it was on the way to my destination. The owner checked my vehicle and detected no leaks. He said the cooling fluid was slightly low but did not warrant servicing. Lastly, the owner waited for my car to cool down to check the radiator, and he found that the fluid was full and green. I didn't need any cooling service, and I was so glad I obtained a second opinion from a trusted and honest mechanic! The owner told me next time they say you need any work done, you get it in writing, and I will check it out. The owner was visibly upset. I will likely continue to get my oil changed at USA Auto Service. However, I will never get any other work done after what they tried to pull on my recent visit. By law, mechanics must check a person's vehicle and make recommendations. However, I will not take their recommendations seriously and will go to my trustworthy mechanic to check out my car. read more

We went in for a smog test and left with a scam estimate for a new turbo for my fiat. Before going into this place - there were no warning lights on - no power loss - no rough running engine... suddenly - they touch it and then they give me an estimate for just under $1,800.00 for replacing turbo. then said they would give me credit for the inspection done that day toward the replacement of said turbo. I went elsewhere and they said the problem was the O2 sensors and them alone. I went home and ordered a launch diagnostic tablet - hooked it up and found the o2 sensors were bad at the cost of $75.00 for both on AMAZON... A far cry from their price of just under $1,800.00. I do not recommend going here for anything including just asking for directions - all scammers... USA Auto Service Location #5 on 3101 N. I took my car to this location on Feb 13th for a smog. I took a picture of my dash. After they attempted to smog they stated that it failed and I needed hundreds of dollars of work which they can perform in order to pass smog. I thanked him and told him I would be in touch. Once I left I noticed the check engine light was on. I referred to the picture of my dash and I verified that the check engine light was not on before I took it to the shop. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I went back to the shop and asked why my engine light came on. I showed the manager the picture so they might help me understand. The manager immediately became defensive and he started breathing heavily and his eyes became wide.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The engine light turned off after a couple of days. I went to USA Auto to get 2 smog checks done for 2 separate cars. Here's why I think they deserve this 2 star rating: Predatory business practices: The business recommended some repairs for each car since both were older cars (2006). One car only needed a serpentine belt replaced and an oil change, but another car needed more work done. For the second car they recommended that I replace the radiator, cooling belts, and serpentine belt and emphasized that I would be "stranded" on the road if I did not make this repair immediately for the second car. [[HIGHLIGHT]]When I asked if these repairs were required for the smog check to pass AND the status of my smog check they ignored me on both questions and kept pressuring me to make the repairs for the second car.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Originally they quoted me $600 during my visit for the radiator replacement but then called me later that night asking to replace the cooling belts and stating that it's required to replace those in order to replace the radiator. If that's the case then why not tell me during my visit? What should have been 2 smog checks (at $10 each) ended up being over $2000 worth of work for both cars. This leads me to my second reason... Overpriced services: The repairs for my second car at USA Auto cost $1800. I received quotes from another mechanic for the same types of repairs and the whole estimate from the other mechanic only ended up being around $900; I was overcharged $650 for repairs and over $200 for labor. In addition the other mechanic made a note that I shouldn't have been charged separate labor fees for the cooling belts since the radiator and cooling belts should have been part of the same labor cost. Overall I do not recommend going to this shop under any circumstances, especially if you have an older car, since they'll use your car's age to scare you into buying more parts and services than what you originally asked for. read more

Went to Mieneke down the way and got totally different service and the truth and they did not charge a dime filled up the tires and checked everything out was fine. 05/18/2025 ,,, I went to USA auto service center on 3101 N Rancho rd ,, in Las Vegas,, I met Sal upon arrival,,, I told him about my brake problem and that they are spongy and soft ,, and they didn't seem reliable,,he asked ,,,is it pulsating in the brake pedal,, I said no,, there is no sensation in the brake pedal,,he then inspected my brake rotors and pads said you need Rotors and brake pads ,, Sal then said you only have about 40% left on your rotors ,,, he did not use any tool to measure my rotors ,, spongy soft brakes are not symptoms of a rotor problem,,so I said ok how much he said $489.00 and we will also flush your brake fluid ,, because your brake fluid is probably bad,, so how much it was going to cost ,, he $489.00 ok if that is gonna fix the problem,, it took about 2.5 hours and he said your vehicle ready,, I drove it two blocks and said to myself,,it is still doing the same thing sponge filling and pedal going to floor when you press and hold it with pressure goes to floor,,,3 of the other mechanics that work there said the same thing ,, they agreed with me,, they drove it,,and tested my brakes,, they test drove my suv they also bled the brakes assuring that no air was in the brake lines,, ,they said they did a complete brake inspection no they didn't,, after another hour of re-inspecting ,,,Finally Sal said ok you need a master cylinder and it gonna cost $1,800.00 and $600.00 labor,, but I'll knock off $300.00 off the labor so $2,100.00 out the door,, so the total he said now would be $2,600.00 ,,no way am i approving this amount ,, wrong diagnostic on my vehicle for sure,,, I already spent over $500.00,,,one of the 3 Mechanics that was there should of evaluated the brakes,, not Sal,,they should have looked at the whole picture ,,and they said Sal is a salesman not a Mechanic,, oh ok,,first time I have been to USA auto I just was looking for a good Honest Mechanic to fix my Wife's SUV ,,let the buyer beware sorry I stopped there for real,, I didn't need to spend $513.00 and still have the same problem as when I pulled in there,, my belief is the brakes should have been bled,, brake fluid flushed ,,and possibly new pads ,, the rotors should have been resurfaced they have between 30 or 40% left which could be good for another year or two,, our brakes were not pulling,,squeaking or grinding or pulsating ******My fault ****** I should have read the reviews ,,,, I never would have stopped,, here at this shop ******NEVER SEEN ****** THAT MANY NEGATIVE REVIEWS AT ONE AUTO SHOP SO ,, NEVER AGAIN FOR ME,,THERE WAS NOTHING WRONG WITH MY ROTORS,,MAYBE I HAVE TO GO DOWNTOWN TO SMALL CLAIMS COURT read more

This is a tough review for me. My car broke down on me last year. I've been coming to USA for my Smog Test due to their great pricing and quick service. The guy who looked at my car was the manager (He's no longer there I can't remember his name). He said I needed a water pump replaced, some rear shocks and some other stuff. The tab was running up and I could only afford so much. He tried to give the best price possible. The water pump was suppose to the main issue why my car was overheating and had a leak. I some in cash and Deborah talked me into financing the rest through Synchrony Bank. Here's why 1 star was removed. She told me to my face that I qualified for 1 year no interest after running my credit. Since I already had an account with Synchrony it was easy to give them a call later. I found out that I had 6 months no interest to pay the money which meant I had to double up my payments each month. I took her nice personality for granted without her showing me anything about my financing. I remember having my car worked on twice before it went out hard completely again but I couldn't find one of my invoices. I called Deborah for a history and she said they upgraded their software and lost all prior history before Aug 2023. So your company lost all previous information of what you have done to people cars?? The second star got removed because after my car was fixed, the tech never told me if there's anything else that I should be concerned about right away. Not even a weak later my car started overheating again and my car was inoperable. I had to end up taking my car to the dealership to get fixed properly. I went recently for a smog test and the new manager was trying to get me to pay for some repairs on my wife's car. I explained I have some trust issues with this particular location, he wanted to make things right with pricing but I need to think about that. I had a coupon for a $9.99 oil change I called a head of time to see how much extra it would be to rotate my tires I was told they would do it for free if I brought my car in for an oil change. I go there thinking i was going to get the oil changed for $9.99 and free tire rotation. the guy comes and first he says they found particles in my oil and it would be $589.00 i told him no way so then he said he could do a oil flush for $49.99 i said ok. the whole time im reminding them about rotating the tires. I just got my smog test at this place for the first time! It opens at 8:00am. I got there before it opens to make sure I get it done asap. I was the first customer for the smog test . It took about 18 minutes to complete the test and walk out the door.Which is reasonable. (The smog technician, Eli told me It took about 10 minutes to start up the smog machine . ) Once it checks everything Is ready to use. It took only a few more minutes to do the actual smog test. I went in yesterday 20 minutes before closing. The smog technicians already left. I suggest If you wanna do your smog test . Make sure to go there before 5:30 pm . The manager , Tori was nice!
