The carne asada burritos are my favorite, but sometimes the meat quality is inconsistent. The al pastor is also very good, get it with pineapple. Love the handmade tortillas. Pollo is good, but too salty. The salsas are all amazing and that's why I keep coming back. Orange (spicy) and the lighter green (medium spicy) are my two favorites. Fries are good, but I'm not a huge fan of the bigger crinkle cut fries. Everything I have tried so far is good (mulitas, tamales, fish taco etc.). 1 star is subtracted because their cash register if often on the fritz and because their meat quality can sometimes be inconsistent. So the reason I am giving this place a 3-star compared to a 5-star review is because of the customer service and the environment. The food is so great. I had carne asada, carintas, and lengua and they were are great. The only issue is that my group had to wait a long time to order food, and the place was extremely small. Today I ordered asada nachos, and they had rice on them. In fact, they had more rice than cheese. I've never had nachos from any place that put rice in their nachos. I had to cancel my pick up and lose money because I needed to find the nearest toilet seat around. I ended up at Taco Bell. I thought their toilet was gonna be caked with piss but it was actually clean. Here we are a week later I can't get over that shit I took. I came back to town after 4 mnths & had to stop to my usual gotta say customer service upgraded! My cashier was Jennifer, super friendly & patient cause i couldnt decide came in during rush hour there was only one cashier but she still managed to take our orders nicely and kept salsa bar filled for us, food is amazing & i will be back before leaving back outta town, vip is my go to in oc especially for late night. Instead, it was sauteed, the worst way to cook any meat. And see, it could have tasted better if the toughest fat free cut of meat wasn't their preferred choice. In case ya'll didnt know the flavor is in the fat, you know, the white marbling on the meat. Oh no, nevermind, ya'll obviously dont know! Their tortillas are hand made which you can tell by the quality of them. I always get the same thing - carne asada burrito and their tripa tacos (tripe). Yes, I said tripe! So delicious! They also have delicious salsas. My favorite is the avocado salsa. There is a variety of drink selections too. I always get the Horchata. I've also had their quesadillas with carne asada and mulitas. I was so excited to try this place!!!! Then they wanted to charge a $1 to use my card?!?! I know other places charge but not $1 . I feel like that was a lot , and being greedy or taking advantage. Being a business owner I understand card machine fees are annoying but we don't overcharge our customers like that. Maybe they need to have the merchant statements looked at so they can lower the fees . Just here updating my review. It has been a very long time since I had been back here but my coworker reminded me about the place. The carne asada fries are the best! If not de asada, then second comes the Carnita fries. The salsa bar is to die for. They have some of the some if the spiciest yet best salsas there. Did I mention the special foR the asada fries on Friday? 4.99 plus tax. Totally worth it. The space is still small but i usually order to-go. Definitely not disappointed.
