Terrible service.. food was even worse. Ambiance was nice but man what a disaster of an experience. Get there on Saturday at 9:45p.m. No one else in the restaurant other than the young lady who sat the two of us. She asks what we like to drink and walks away. 10 mins later, here comes the wine and water. Ordered our food. I asked for spaghetti with marinara sauce and side of sausage. I specifically said "no Parmesan" in the sauce. Also ordered two small pizzas. One with spinach and one works. Food comes. Spaghetti is loaded with Parmesan. The works pizza is flavorless, chewy and absolutely disgusting. Sauce is watery as all get out. The works comes on a double dough pizza. That's fine, but it was so raw and disgusting. The thin crust spinach looked fine. The food took forever to come. It wasn't ready for 45 mins. We didn't eat any of it other than one piece of the spinach pizza. I told the young lady about the spaghetti. I didn't take a bite out of it and you can tell I didn't. She looks down at it and says "I can have them give you a discount for it". Umm a discount?? For something MADE wrong. Lol I declined, left the spaghetti on the table. Took the pizzas home hoping to reheat them. Bill came to $70. Left her a $10 tip and decided the and there to swear off BOTH vita Bellas. What garbage food. Threw the pizza out after I got home and tried to bake it more. Just complete trash. Used to be the best pizza place around, but then they sold out to a new owner. Unfortunately, they changed the sauce and destroyed the flavor that made this place to great. Wish they would have kept using the same ingredients. Now it's just an acidic salty sauce that overpowers the rest of the pizza with no real flavor profile at all. At 6:57 the cashier called my phone when I was 5 feet away and said there was an issue and they haven't started my pizza. The estimated delivery was 7:05, and it is now 7:45.. I call with no answer or being put on hold with no explanation then a hang up. I can't even cancel my order if I wanted to. Great pizza but terrible service. An update: finally spoke to a human who let me know my pizza would be leaving the restaurant in about 30 minutes... Although the workers seemed flustered and were receiving many calls about messed up orders while we were waiting on ours, our order was amazing. The pizza was fresh and delicious with just the right amount of toppings, the breadstick/nuggets were INCREDIBLE and addicting. We've only had Vita Bella carry out, and have always been pleased with the food. The online ordering process is efficient and our food is always ready before the estimated pick-up time. As with any independent pizza place, they put their own spin on the style of pizza they make. We've had both thin crust and double dough. Both were good, depending on what you're hungry for. When you order online, you have an opportunity to give special instructions about how you want your pizza cooked and cut, which is nice. The pizza is reasonably priced, especially when compared to some of the other pizza places in the area that charge $2.00 per topping. They regularly offer coupons for discounts, as well. Additionally, we've enjoyed all of the pasta dishes we've tried from Vita Bella. We've also tried some of the appetizers and desserts, and again, we're never disappointed. We've had only positive experiences here and it has become our to-go place for pizza/pasta nights. read more

Our favorites are specialty pizzas (Hawaiian luau and the works, minutes the olives). they're baked mostaccioli with meat sauce is yummy and their garlic bread is to die for. out of my 5 years living here and eating many times at both Vita Bella locations I think I've only had two bad experiences (and by bad I just mean lack of toppings) never bad service always very friendly and quick delivery. read more

Italian bread: Standard, but yummy nonetheless. Pinot Noir: I mean, I had 3 glasses so it's a win in my book! White Pizza: My favorite! Loved this non traditional 'za. Olive oil (instead of standard pizza sauce), fresh garlic, ricotta cheese and tomatoes. Pepperoni Pizza: Classically delish. Pepperoni, mushrooms, onion and green pepper. Thin crust what what! Walnut Gorgonzola Salad: A MUST TRY! I love this salad. Green apple slices, walnuts, avocado, cranberries and crumbled gorgonzola tossed with mixed greens and topped with pomegranate dressing. Such a fresh and fabulous combo! The only reason Vita Bella didn't get 5 stars from me is due to the service. I'll give them the benefit of the doubt because we had a large group and its possible our waitress was training someone, but it was less than ideal. We were missing silverware and plates so we had to wait a while before diving into our intriguing apps. When our waitress did come by she was so quick to pop in we couldn't event get a word in to request another drink! Slightly frustrating. Ordered the chicken vesuvio. The potatoes were crunchy and the chicken was quite pink when cut into. The sauce was completely separated and everything was covered in lumps from the flour or cornstarch they use to thicken sauce. It was inedible. We tried to call right away, but no one was answering. I review the menu and decided that of family was going to give them a shot. The place was super clean and doing all of the right things to make us feel safe and secure with their dining room. Amanda greeted us with the most welcoming smile. She sat us and was actually working the entire restaurant alone, about 9 parties at the time. You would think that by her youthful look that she would be about to crash and burn, however surprisingly she was steady with her pace and let not one table needing or wanting for anything. The food was also the star of the night as I don't believe that anything came from the freezer of a box. The breadsticks with Marinara started the night off with style. We ordered 3 dishes that rocked; chicken parmigiana was made to order and was terrific, the spicy chicken Cesar sandwich on garlic bread was very tasty, the linguini with meat sauce and meatballs was the real deal. I would challenge anyone to compare this dish to little Italy Taylor Streets best restaurants. Hands down best meatballs in Naperville/Plainfield. Very disappointed in the food today at Vita Bella North. Ordered take out around 3:30 in the afternoon so not a busy time at all. In fact there were no cars in the parking lot when I got there to pick up my food. I ordered 1 order of fried ravioli and 1 order of garlic bread with cheese. In my opinion the fried ravioli were burnt. I couldn't eat them and ended up throwing them away. I can't believe they would even serve those to a customer. I've been to this location before and generally like their food so I don't know what was going on today but there is no excuse serving food like this, especially when you are not busy. I ordered fried ravioli a few weeks ago from Aurelios down the street and those were golden brown and perfect. Guess Aurelios will be getting my business in the future. Usually, whenever you come there they have great pizza. It'll take a while for their double dough; But man is it good. Today though, it was very different. My family walks in an the thermostat is on its highest and my son is sweating at the table. After waiting around 20 minutes for bread that should have taken 5, we had the best part of our meal. After no service for another 30 minutes afterwards we finally can get refills and receive our pizza. Mind you it's been around an hour and a half. We ordered a 14 inch double dough pizza half green pepper and onion and half cheese. When the pizza comes to our table it was cold and wrong. We received a 12 inch all sausage and green pepper. If you thought that was the worst part, you would be wrong. After speaking with our waitress, we were told that we could only get 15% off for a WRONG PIZZA. Vita Bella is in our regular rotation for pizza nights. Although a bit pricier than other local pizzerias the quality ingredients keep us coming back. The restaurant is clean and spacious to eat-in for group gatherings or family night-out. Plus take-out is fresh and convenient to cater a quiet night at home. Unfortunately the takeout does not always deliver consistent products. Sometimes the wings are a little "light" on sauce. Other times we have arrived home to find our pizza crust "well done" as well as "light" on cheese. Of course even with the drawbacks we continue to frequent this place but mindful to check our order before leaving the counter. I definitely recommend Vita Bella and will return to try other menu items. read more

Pizza is good however the service was as bad as could be. Went in for lunch with my wife, mother and sister where my wife has a dairy allergy. We made it known that she had a dairy allergy up front and she ordered a pasta dish the waiter assured us was made with no dairy in the marinara sauce and assured us no cheese would be put on top. The food comes out and there is cheese on top of the pasta, we tell the waiter and he apologizes and proceeds to leave the table like she could eat it. We then note that she can't eat it because of the allergy so he takes it away. He comes back 5 minutes later and says the sauce has dairy in it so my wife just asks for additional bread to tide her over until later but the bread never came and we just left after the rest of us we're finished with the pizza. My parents have notes that this is not the first time they've had incredibly terrible service at this particular establishment. My boyfriend and I just moved this past year to Plainfield. We were so excited to find a place with a good pizza! We had ordered from here a few times and LOVED their thin crust pizza. However, this time we got our pizza delivered, opened the pizza, only to find that someone had taken a bite out of it.
