Peruvian Fried Rice With All White Chicken
Suzanne B.

First time trying this place and it was a good experience. Food came out quick, which was great. The place has a nice vibe and the bathrooms were clean! The food itself was really tasty. Definitely planning to come back to try some other dishes on their menu.

Visiting from Vegas and this was the number one recommended place to eat. I'm sorry but I don't get the hype. We ordered the Peruvian Fried Rice and the Steak Saltado with the fries on the side. Our food came out pretty quickly, and it tasted fine, but honestly nothing special. My husband was glad he got the fries on the side or the would have been just as soggy as the rice his came with. I did like that the fried rice has a slightly unique flavor from Thai or Japanese fried rice.

Spending the night in St. George, on the way to Bryce and Zion, and popped into Viva chicken for dinner with the kiddos. For kids this is a great casual spot with fast service, affordable prices, huge portions, and, most importantly, delicious food! For 2 teens, 1 9 year old, and an adult we shared the lomo saltado (biggest hit must do), chicken tacu rice bowl (perfect mix of textures and flavors, daily special on Tuesdays), and the kids rotisserie chicken with rice. We got the passion fruit drink, and we tried all 3 sauces; mild, medium, and hot. My personal favorite was the medium sauce, which was green. We even had leftovers! I think that this would be very successful in California.

A year later we are back and the experience and food are as great as before! It's fast food... fresh. The Amarillo sauce is outstanding! I had the Viva Salad (again) which comes with just the right amount of delicious dressing, however, I couldn't resist dipping some pieces of chicken in the Amarillo sauce. Order at the counter service is always fast, friendly and efficient. Food is promptly delivered to your table. The restaurant is clean and comfortable in a hip, bright, colorful atmosphere.

The food here was very fresh! I loved all the different sauces you could have, the yellow one I think was my favorite. Not the cheapest thing in the world, but definitely worth the fresh ingredients. The food came out pretty quick and luckily they were large tables for our large group.

Chicken Inca wrap with yuca fries
Nina M.

First time stopping by with the family and not sure what I am missing considering the great reviews this location has. I ordered the Inca wrap with chicken and yuca fries and everything was pretty bland where I had to use a generous amount of their sauces to add flavor. The table ordered - Chicken - which was very dry - Normal fries - which were nice and crispy - Corn salad - barely any corn and mostly edamame - Green Beans - pretty good The food came out fast, but when we asked staff for assistance they were not very warm to our group. I appreciate that they have a couple options of salsas to pick from and original juices that all tasted great. The space has plenty of indoor seating and everything was clean. Overall for the price I was expecting better quality, with that said it might have been an off day, but considering that the chicken was very dry and no flavor I would not return.

Viva Chicken was fantastic! We ordered the 1/4 chicken (all dark meat) with plantains and Peruvian corn salad, the Andina Power Food Salad with hand-pulled chicken, and a Maracuya (mango passion fruit) drink. The chicken was some of the best I've had--juicy, tender, and full of flavor. The Andina salad was refreshing, but we regretted adding the chicken since it came out a bit dry and didn't really enhance the dish, contrary to what some other reviewers had suggested. The sides were a mixed experience: the plantains were caramelized to perfection (a must-order!), while the Peruvian corn salad was less impressive. In hindsight, the beans might have been a better choice. The space was clean and welcoming, it was easy to find a table, and the staff was very friendly. If I'm ever in the area again, I'll definitely be back!

This place had been hyped up by friends of ours for quite some time. It's certainly good food, but I'm not sure it's a must-go. The wing and leg of the chicken were cooked well, seasoned great, but the breast was bone dry. Plantains were also good, but not outstanding, fried rice wasn't quite flavorful enough... it seemed like everything disappointed just a hair. The service was outstanding: friendly and especially fast.

Half chicken and two 1/2 Chicken with 2 Sides

A St. George Staple. Food is always great. Facility is clean as there are people constantly cleaning tables and dish bins. The sauces slap. They have them out now so you don't have to go up and as for more sauce. I will say, the pictures don't line up with the photos on the sides menu. We got the half chicken with two sides: yuca and canary beans. We thought the beans were the ones shown in the picture next to it. They were not.

Viva Salad

Everything here is tasty and efficient. My second visit but I'm sure I'll be back as it's easy access off the highway and quick service. Tastier than most roasted chicken and pairs well with the cilantro rice. It's really the sauces that shine. I love the green sauce but all 3 are tasty so we bought a bottle to take home. Don't forget to try a juice as all of them are good! The staff person at the counter was very friendly.

Whole Chicken 3 sides. Corn salad, Fried rice and beans
Michelle R.

Was hoping for a home run but it ended up being just ok. We ordered the whole chicken with 3 sides. Chicken was flavorful. The sides unfortunately failed short. The pinto like beans were really watery and bland. The corn salad was mostly edamame- where's the corn / maíz? And the fried rice was overly hyped. It was just ok Maybe we ordered the wrong sides? Still the sides should have enhanced the meal. It didn't. Staff was nice but looks like they're not able to make recommendations regarding the menu. If I were to come through St George again I might stop by.

If you are coming from Vegas towards Salt lake and looking for lunch places, this is it. The food here is really good. We ordered chicken burrito, a limero chopped salad and half a chicken which came with cilantro rice and fries. We also ordered sweet potato fries which were really amazing. If you are looking for a side of your dish, do opt for sweet potato fries. The only disappointment was the rotessrie chicken which almost feels like the one sold at Costco. Special mention to the sauces. They are amazing and doesn't taste like your usual hot sauces.i also loved the mint lemonade. Its refreshing. A special shoutout to the staff there, how I wish I asked for his name. I asked him a favour of cutting up the avocado which I got from come for my 10 month old kid, not only did he cut it up but placed it is a bowl of lettuce. Atmosphere is really lively.

Beef Saltado
Mae T.

The beef saltado was underwhelming. Very bland. I asked for my order 'to go,' and waited till it was ready so I could eat it in my car. From the counter to my car somehow it got soggy. The venue is very clean and modern. Cool artwork. Got my kids the fried rice. That's good. Very bland. Peruvian is usually very tasty foods so I was excited to try dishes I always order. This place looks better than it taste.

The allergen menu is no longer online. Can you tell me what items are wheat free? Thank you

Our daughter is celiac and we eat there as often as we can. She has the chicken, sweet potato fries, and hasn't had any reactions or issues with any of the sauces either.

Are they finally back to doing self serve sauces?

No, at least as of last week. You still need to get them from them from behind the counter.

Do you smoke your chicken?

No in typical Peruvian style chicken is marinated then cooked over grill.

Yelp is saying you are closed through Wednesday for this coming week. Is that true?! I know it's considered off season in the area but I was hoping to stop by on my way to Zion next week (before Wednesday)! :(

Hi Erica! We will be open! See you soon!

Can you please open a location in Las Vegas? It would do great!

Hi Melissa! Thank you so much for your support to our concept! It means the world to us! Our concept is growing and we will keep Las Vegas in mind!

People keep telling me this place is gluten free. But I've heard ALL the chicken is marinated in beer? (Which has gluten in it)?

Our chicken is gluten-free ;) Please feel free to send us an email at longlive@vivachicken.com and we will be happy to share with you our allergen list ;) Thanks for asking!

It definitely had a local feel where most people knew each other and it was super friendly and charming :) My husband and I both ordered a regular size of bone-in wings. Mine with traditional sauce, and his naked with apricot teriyaki. He didn't quite care for the teriyaki and wasn't a fan so he ordered a zesty orange sauce on the side.. which he didn't like either so he ended up just eating them plain. He had also asked for ranch and blue cheese but only got the blue cheese but didn't want to say anything because he already felt too picky asking for another sauce. My wing order came out correct though! They were pretty underwhelming and a bit skimpy on the sauce unfortunately so not my favorite wings ever. The buffalo chips were a surprising hit though, loved that they weren't too thick but still had substance. Overall a fun place to check out and loads of TVs to watch any game.

Today, happened to be, I had a quick trip to St George and I went to grab a quick bite before heading back to Vegas. It was between lunch and dinner, so the place wasn't packed at all. Hostess offered a seat by the bar or in the dining room. I picked the dining room. Waiter came over quickly, took my order, then returned with water and my Pepsi. Then a few minutes later he came back with the sandwich which was French Dip with Fries. The sandwich was more like a cheese steak sandwich, I noticed, but it was tasty enough to eat it, and didn't bother me much. Although, I picked out the spicy peppers from it, and the waiter asked me if I wanted it to remake the sandwich, but it was really fine. I only took out the spicy peppers, because I don't eat spicy food at all. That's all. I told him that I think it's really a cheesesteak sandwich, and he said that this is how they make the French Dip in this restaurant. I didn't make a big deal about it. As I said before, it was tasty and I ate it. He refilled my Pepsi. Got my check, paid, and left. This Brewery is worth visiting, because it looks really cool! The building itself is huge, very authentic with lots of great decorations. Waiter told me to check out upstairs because it's more than just a restaurant and a bar, it has lots of items displayed, very interesting stuff, nicely decorated!

It was to the point where the drumstick had hard edges on it. I'm not sure if it was just an off day or if this is the norm, but I was surprised given how everything else looked and tasted. We've since gone back again, and i've got to put the curry goat at the top of the list amongst the dishes we've tried so far. An extra serving of curry sauce is also provided to drizzle over the rice, dip meat into, or take home to bathe in later.
