I am a milk tea lover, I tried all milk tea places in Redlands, but the experience here was not pleasant. Employee is lack of training, not familiar with milk options. There was no sweetener added to my milk tea. I was told they gonna make me a new one, received the same cup with lid peeled off, sweetener added in without shaking, all at the bottom. Brown sugar boba is hard inside and does not taste sweet. The cup is very soft, milk tea comes out easily. I gave 3 stars because it's a new shop. I hope the owner sees my review and makes it better. read more

Viva is one of my favorite boba places, I legitimately didn't even like boba until I started going to their original spot in San Bernardino. Super happy this Redlands locations is now open. I go every time I visit friends and they're all now fans also. The drinks are delicious, staff is friendly, and service is quick. Best of all they really care about the communities in their neighborhood and are always having awesome events. 10/10 read more

i got the taro smoothie with boba here. the boba here is really small compared to other places with bigger bobas. very sweet, which i dont really like. The prices are actually insane. $9 total for my 24oz drink with boba. I know places where i could get it cheaper and better quality. I've been coming out here pretty regularly and I always really like what I get. Puzzlingly it hasn't been too crowded any time that I've been there, as it seems like a nice place to work or study. I've been on a hunt for a good Thai tea after coming back from Thailand and having some good Thai tea but this didn't do it for me. Sorry, needs to be stronger. It tasted so water down (like water with milk) and for the price of almost $9! I was expecting more! The color was not orange at all. More like a creamsicle. read more

I ordered 3 separate drinks which equalled about 27$ : taro smoothie with no toppings, Thai tea with tapioca pearls, I think it was called pink guava tea with pearls. The taro was a bit off and the Thai tea was mediocre . The guava tea refresher was good bc it wasn't a typical boba order but still great! Customer service is 5 star. The individual who helped us was great and kept us informed of how long everything would take. I know this is a new place and I hope it succeeds! But if I could just say please don't lose the authenticity and FLAVOR profile of Boba. read more

I'm so glad that their Redlands spot is open!! They have amazing drinks and super friendly staff. I got their special orange creamsicle drink that I think is only sold at the Redlands location and it was soo good. My usual go-tos are the Thai tea, their smoothies, and their specialty drinks like the IE sunrise! They also sell cookies and brownies if you need a sweet treat to pair with your drink. There is a lot of space and seating and I can enjoy reading a book while sipping on my drink. read more

5-star nod of approval! I've been to a lot of boba shops and Redlands' Viva La Boba stands out by far. The bobarista was good vibes and helpful explaining the various drinks. Vegan options are clearly marked with a green 'V' leaf, even the MILK tea came vegan! No ridiculous plant-based milk upcharge! I got the green floral milk tea with honeydew syrup and aloe. OMG perfect icy cold sip on a hot day!! Also, sweetness level was PERFECT. I've dumped entire cups of boba out of its too sweet or artificial tasting, and trust that I imbibed this refreshing boba to the last drop!! The place also has a calming energy, spacious, and chill, I could see this being a great study and meet-up spot. Only downside is there's only a few parking spots, but you could just park in the lot across the street and fit in a short walk across Orange St. This place has me excited about boba in a way I've never felt! read more

Some friends and I stopped by tonight to get late night boba and all of us loved it! We got the moon milk, IE Sunset, and a black oolong tea boba. I recently went to check this place out, as there are not many boba shops in Redlands and this place is new. So this review is based solely on the 1 drink that I bought. I normally judge a boba spot based on the three common items you'll find at a boba spot; Milk Tea, Thai Tea, and Taro. I got the Thai Tea to try it out. Honestly, it had the typical Thai Tea flavor, but its texture and taste reminded me of the Thai Tea Boba protein powder. I also got it at the regular sweetness level, and wow, it was substantially sweet. I definitely suggest asking to adjust the sweetness level if you are not looking for something overwhelmingly sweet. I only drank half before throwing it away. So out of 5, the drink was 2/5. The inside is nice and has a nice vibe. The back area looks good for studying, and the area near the register has seating for groups. Out of 5, the interior was 5/5. Out of the 5 other boba places in Redlands, this is the 2nd one to be a small, local business; the other 3 are franchises-owned. Compared to the boba shops in the OC and LA areas, even in San Bernardino County, this place ranks as a low D-Tier boba spot. read more

So excited Viva La Boba is coming to Redlands!! I'm not a coffee drinker at all but their cold brew is real tasty and literally saved me from major jetlag woes. All their tea flavors are delicious and super customizable - the taro is my FAVORITE - AND they brew their boba fresh daily which is so worth it! The owners and staff are lovely and friendly and really care about their customers and the community. We love a local business but especially a shop like Tansu & David's that works hard to give back too. My dad's been in Redlands since 1964 and it meant so much to us to see the way they're honoring the building/lot's history. As a life long boba drinker, I can confidently say that Viva LA Boba is my favorite boba shop! The servers are friendly, the menu is incredibly extensive, the community feel is friendly, and the vibe is so cozy. I'm a traditionalist when it comes to boba, and the boba pearls here are made fresh and you can really taste the difference.
