I was a walk-in and Vincent greeted me so well. I had an amazing experience with my manicurist, Vivian, she did an amazing job with my simple request of a solid nail color with a flower. I am definitely ready for my Hawaii trip! This place is clean and follows COVID protocols. Vincent checked my temperature right away and had me sign in, and each nail station has a divider to protect me and the manicurist. Probably the worst set I've ever had. I went there last Thursday and my nails didn't last a full 24 hours. My nails look awful now. The tech didn't do ANY cuticle work so after one week it looks like I need a fill already on top of the cracked peeling nails. I paid $135 for a mani and pedi. My pedi is okay and actually still looks good. I used venmo to pay and the business offered to fix my nails but I was visiting out of state and didn't have time to go back. Who these days does have time to go back to get their nails fixed? That seems unreasonable to me. I explained that even if I wanted to go back and get them fixed, it was not an option for me. They offered me no other solution but to come back. Sorry, not flying back for y'all to fix this mess. I'm disappointed they didn't attempt to try and rectify this awful work in some way. Walked in on Sunday, in late afternoon. I had Yvonne for my pedicure (regular) and Mimi for my mani(regular). A gentleman behind the front desk gave each customer a small cup of water and helped ladies choose their options of service. I just needed my dried-up-as-bark-nasty cuticles and shape nails into nicer conditions and these laides did the job for me in 60minutes. $15 for mani (option 1) and $20 for pedi(option 1) I live a cross from the plaza so I am coming back to have both my moms( MIL& MOM) feel pampered sometime next month. Awful gel manicure. The lady (I believe her name was Mindy) did not bother doing any of the standard procedure. She did not soak my hands in water or bother to do my cuticles. I asked her and she said she did (bullsh**). She told me because of my eczema, she doesn't want to cut off too much. Problem- she didn't cut off any. Icing on the cake, my gel manicure is falling apart- after two days. I had my manicure on Saturday, and it is already falling apart (today is Monday). My pedicure lady, Cindy, was great though. However the service was a lil pushy and I know they talked S#%t to each other about us as I am half asian & I understood, but whatever I was gonna get what I wanted and didnt care. I knew exactly what I wanted told them, drew it out, and searched my phone for the photo to make it easier as they bitched to each other and tried to push other things on me and rush me. I found the pic and her tone changed when she was almost done and found out my friend was a mom. Of course it was for the tip. She did exactly what I wanted and my nails came out beautifully. I was an excited bride how knew what I wanted and could have just used some patience from them. It was cheaper than I expected for tips, gel, and custom design. Typical price for gel french tip for the girls ($35). Again service wasnt great but I didnt care, I just annoyed them back by using the bathroom for all my girls multiple times haha and ignoring them and just laughing w/ girls and having a good time while they talked shit. But again they know how to do nails! So If I am ever in the SJ area again Id prob go back ha. They were nice once they saw my tip ha. read more

My nails, which have always been really strong, are like paper now. My nails (no polish since) are peeling, breaking constantly, and have a horrible texture. they almost look scaly. it's awful. if they grow out even 1/8 of an inch, they break. i'm hoping in time the damage will grow out and i'll have normal nails again. Like anything else when it comes to getting your nails done or a haircut, you get used to dealing with the same people because of the quality of their work. However, after entering the shop we were surprised by an unexpected change, the people we dealt with were out of the shop due to family emergencies. Faced with dealing with someone new always questions the quality of their work. Such was the situation when we walked into the shop. We decided to postpone our nails until the people we were used to dealing with could make our appointments. Unfortunately, things like that happen in any business, and they were very apologetic about it. The girl who did my pedi was very nice and attentive. The owner (I think he was the owner?), poured me a cup of water which was really nice of him. I tried both Viva and Blossom hill Nails. Both of them were good in my experience. Blossom is bit more expensive I think for the same quality service I get from Viva. I decided to go back to Viva today and loved it. $25, you get salt scrub and little bit of massage on your foot. They do take time to complete quality service versus, I felt it was rushed at Blossom hill (maybe because they have so many customers). like someone mentioned, the owner at Viva nails is super nice and helpful with customers. I've been to Viva Nails before & got really good service, sadly I don't remember the name of the staff who gave me my pedi. I went last weekend, got Li (Lee - older lady w salt & pepper hair w glasses) & she did NOT wash my feet - she just started clipping my nails w/o having had my feet washed or even wet. Then she had me dip my feet in warm water; then proceeded w my pedi. After Li finished my pedi, she said to wait 15 minutes; 5 minutes later she puts on my flip flops & gently tells me to go. Another lady (who obviously works there)- she was wearing a black & white patterned button up long sleeve blouse was rude in tone when she said "you can go over there to pay" - i hope they all have a better day...maybe that'll help them treat their customers w more respect & w better pampering. read more

I tried this place because I had moved and was on the hunt for a new nail place. At first glance it seemed nice and because of the location I expected it to be pricy, which it is in my opinion. I settled for this spot since it was 5 min from my house. One day I was doing a gel manicure, and Mindy kept insisting on doing a treatment, I said no. She proceeded to ignore me, and rubbed an "expensive" lotion on my arms. I thought it was included with my manicure so I dIdn't question it. She did not start the massage chair for me, I had to ask for it after I saw another customer have theirs started for them. She also lacked communications skills. She would push rather than verbally tell me whenever she wanted my feet in or out of the water. Never coming here again. Positives: 1) She did an average job (like any other nail salon) in paining my toes. You won't get a crappy nail job here. I've been going to Viva nails for almost 20 years I love that it feels like I'm hanging out with a bunch of friends. They use organic Nu skin Products. Everybody so helpful and friendly I have so many beautiful colors and if you love gel they have everyone you can think of. The massage chairs really work well and the place is always clean and super sanitary. I recently hurt my ankle so this was my first pedicure in weeks I snapped a beautiful shot of tonight's sunset. Matches my beautiful new red toes. As a regular one of my favorite things to do is treat myself to an extra 5 to 10 minute massage either hands or back really makes your day. This is a clean, efficient nail salon with kind, polite staff. They consistently do a great job with gel manicures and pedicures. There is a t.v. in the lounge and plenty of magazines, plus lots of sunlight in the shop, so it's a good atmosphere. Prices are fair. Also - and this is a pet peeve of mine for nail salons so I'm glad they got it right: They are *honest* and *accurate* in quoting wait time and whether or not they can work you in / have you out by a particular time. However, the best part is that they took special care to help my elementary school daughter with a ridged nail problem she has - being very careful to insure she was comfortable with the nail sanding and even surprising her with some free nail art because they could tell she was nervous and concerned about whether or not they could help her fix up some nail growth anomalies. I'd give the 5th star if the atmosphere were more of a luxurious escape. It's not quite that - the massage chairs are a bit worn and not all of them work...there's no background music or other ambience as I've seen at some other salons - but they do a great job. read more

Vincent greeted us promptly and was so kind to my daughter and made her feel very comfortable. They got us in right away without an appointment, it was Sunday afternoon. They had an excellent selection of polish and colors and the prices were very reasonable. Cindy did pedicures on us both and a manicure for my daughter as well. Ours nails look great! She took extra time to make sure everything was perfect. The salon was also very clean. All the tools came out of sterile packing and the tubs had liners. I am in healthcare and really appreciated this. The massage chair was also the best I have every sat in. As a busy mom of 2, I loved it! We had such a great experience here. I cannot express adequately how kind and accommodating everyone was, especially Vincent. This will be our regular nail salon. read more
