So glad we decided to take a slight detour to grab dinner and wait for rush hour traffic to subside after dropping the kiddo off at Logan. Every single dish was full of flavor, satisfying and beautifully presented. After reading some reviews from fellow Yelp Elites, it seemed we really couldn't go wrong with any of the dishes so we went for variety - tuna tartare, steamed mussels, fig tortellini, chicken pinchos, and montadito de jamón. It was a lot of food, but everything was so delicious I kept wanting to order more. The sauces are unique, flavorful and the perfect compliment to each dish. We did everything but lick the plate to get up every last bit of each of the sauces. If this place were closer to home I would be here all the time! Decor is tasteful and chill. Equally comfortable in shorts and a t-shirt or a dress and heels. Lovely view of Revere Beach from the large windows. Street side parking was easy. Service was friendly and professional. Service was the highlight. All the staff are great. Sophia and Vanessa took fantastic care of us during my friend's birthday brunch, which turned into birthday lunch, then birthday dinner. Steak & eggs can be modified and comes with salad. It includes 2 eggs that can be cooked to your liking and I recommend getting them poached. It's hard to find a place that does a perfect medium poach, but Vivi's did that without my asking. Chicken & waffles was great--many places mess this dish up, but they do it just right. The flavor on their fried chicken is so freakin' good, as is the sauce they use. A ginger flavor comes through on the sesame wings, so if you don't mind this, I would give them a try--we all liked them. Next time, I'm trying their buffalo wings. Chicken sandwich was big and came with lots of fries and an interesting horseradish mustard dipping sauce. We went on a Sunday around 3p. They switched DJs around 5p. Our server informed us that they do dinner 7-10p, then bottle service 10:30-2a. I thought that was pretty cool. The same restaurant group operates Dryft, which is on the beach as well. I have heard great things about Dryft, and I was pleasantly surprised by Vivi's, so I can't wait to try Dryft next. All in all, the vibes were vibin', music was bumpin', service was efficient and friendly and food was yummy. Great for birthdays, anniversaries, breakfast, lunch, dinner, or just a good time. Ok ok hear me out this place turned way around or maybe the first two times were both bad days for them because everytime I've gone since has been really very great. Which has been many times because it's super close and nice views and food that isn't take out which isn't the easiest to find within 5 min of me (let me want to be lazy ik there's a lot of good food around here). The bread is delicious and so fluffy. Gambas have just the right amount of spice. The deviled eggs have me in a death grip, give me a hundred right now the only thing that angers me is only getting 3 for the $7. I would like, to quote the great Ron Swanson, all the eggs you have. Gimme. Pro tip, if you get the gambas the oil is incredible and the bread comes with nothing no butter jam or oil so save the gambas oil and dip it in there it goes really well. The prices are very reasonable and it has nice vibes. Typically very quiet, not rowdy, but they do play the game on the tv, last night was soccer I think? I hated on the albóndigas halfheartedly before but now that they're off the menu I'm sad bc I think they could have been good (like I said, maybe a bad day or two, which everyone is allowed to have). Patatas bravas also very tasty perfect crisp and then fluffy insides. I go alone and typically eat 3 of the tapas dishes and don't leave full (need room for wine and post-dinner treats), but 4 fills me perfectly and I'm a relatively small grown woman if you need an idea of how much to order when you go out. My dream would to bring 3 other people and I think then we could probably get one of everything safely. 6/5 stars. read more

Just opened up not too long ago and my spouse wanted to give it a try. Great location across the street from Revere Beach, all seats inside and out have spectacular views. Plenty of seating to a point, I can't imagine how they will be able to service everyone, but incredible space. Multiple bars and space to accommodate an intimate date to a happy hours office group for sure. They have large table seating where you might be sharing with others. The staff is super friendly and attentive. Great food and bar menu. I love Tapas and they have an awesome menu. We decided to split everything and it was perfect. Perfect portions and incredible flavors. We will be back to explore more of the menu. read more

Great atmosphere with options for bar seating, traditional tables, and outdoor seating with amazing beach view. Staff was very friendly and attentive. Vivi's Tapas Bar opened very recently at the Ryder on Revere Beach Blvd. This modern tapas restaurant and bar offers a good variety of creative tapas, crudos, large plates, salads, and desserts. The bar serves up beer (draft & bottles/cans), wine, cocktails, and sangrias. The pricing is moderate high. The place has dim lighting with upbeat Spanish music blasting over the speakers. The main dining area to the left offers a great view of the Revere Beach oceanfront with rows of table seating and a wine cooler at the end. The bar section has high top seating, communal seating along the window and seating at the bar (2 flatscreen TVs). I stopped by Vini's for a late dinner recently.  The place was too busy and I was seated in the dim lit dining room and given a menu. There is a small lit candle at each table. The server arrived with a chilled bottle with tap water and glass. I promptly placed my order for food and the three plates arrived 15 minutes later. I enjoyed the following plates which were nicely plated: Halibut ($15 plus tax) rocoto leche de tigre, red onion, cancha, Japanese sweet potato chips, served cold. This crudo was interesting and had a good mix of flavors, slightly spicy. Steak Tartare ($15 plus tax) potato causa, shallots, cornichons, capers, Dijon aioli, potato chips, served cold. The steak tartare was soft and moist and the potato chips were good for dipping & spreading the meat mix.  Fig Tortellini ($16 plus tax) gorgonzola, asparagus, prosciutto, vincotto, served hot. This was my favorite which each tortellini was hand folded and had slightly sweet and rich flavors. Each plate I ordered was a good size and I was pretty much all set with my meal, deciding to pass on dessert (I was going to order flan if I had room). The check for 3 plates was $48.22 with tax and before tip.  Overall, the plates I ordered were very interesting and I really enjoyed the mix of flavors and ingredients. The service here was fairly laid back with no rush. The server also asked if I had any food allergies while taking my order. I would definitely come back to try some of their other plates, but dining here with a group is ideal, so you can try several dishes in one meal. read more

I'm about 10 min away of walking distance here! Decided to come for a little date night with my bf. I had 2 margaritas (delicious) and we ordered a bunch of different tapas. The tuna tartare was our favorite! Please note after 9-10pm I believe if you're sitting outside they will move you inside to keep the noise level down as there are residents living upstairs of the restaurant. The ambiance is great, so is the view. I'll definitely be back the drinks were creative, well presented and delicious. My favorite of the night was the fig tortellini it was super creamy and delicious. The chips with the tuna tartar were light and crispy and the sauce was amazing the tuna was a little fishier than I would have liked. The empanads were heavy and hot the filling was delicious the shell was a little thick the dipping sauce was great but didn't really stick to it so you needed to pour it into it. The spicy carrots weren't spicy but did have an interesting mix of flavors. Our waitress was great and when we ordered let us know when something was her favorite like the tortellini and her opinion was spot on we probably should have just let her order for us lol. read more

We went to Vivi's tapas on a quiet Monday night! Our server was warm and friendly and the place is really well decorated. We shared a bunch of tapas and ordered them little by little. The kitchen was fast and timed our orders well. Our server was often checking in and made sure we were well taken care of. The Zucchini fries were hands down my favorite! Finally some fries that comes with mayo ! We ended up ordering a second order of these. The tuna tartare was alright, some of the avocado didn't taste the best. The yuzy lobster was delicious, we all really liked that one as well. The fried calamari is too small for the amount of $$ charged. The empanadas were good. The mushrooms were interesting, we didn't end up finishing these and the patatas bravas were okay. The desserts were good. The view is great but you pay for it on the bill, overall, it is pretty expensive. read more

Upon a recommendation, went to Vivi's the other night and if there were adjectives higher than excellent/fantastic/outstanding, I would use it here. Vivi's is amazing. From the start, the staff is friendly and helpful. The menu is varied, offering anyone many choices to pick from. The atmosphere is stylish and sophisticated without being stuffy or pretentious. Our server was fabulous with explaining how the plates were prepared and delivery out of the kitchen was swift. Located on the south end of the beach, with huge windows (and an open air bar for the warmer nights), there's tons of on-street parking and you don't get caught in the traffic insanity of further up the boulevard. First visit. Came here solo to have a nice night alone. Bar was full and hostess said I could sit at window counter for "same service." I sat 10 minute without being acknowledged by a server. Several kept walking by me and did nothing. Finally ordered. First glass of wine: pour was really small. I finished it in several sips. Server did help me navigate a food allergy, but never checked on me after meal was served (by another person). Only came back to refill my drink and bring check. A last minute invite to dinner gave me less than 24 hours to find a spot that could seat eight (6 adults with a 4- or 5-year old and 1 year old). I was asked to find a table for eight at 7:30 on a Friday night. I was told this with less than 24 hours notice? First, WTF? Second, game on! Let's do this! None of you will be shocked to learn that you cannot expect a North End restaurant to have availability at that hour on a summer Friday night. Some of the places that I called suggested we swing by to see if we could do a walk in. Tough with kids so we will try again another time with more notice. We then thought of a place I love near Fenway, but they put a hold of $200 freaking dollars on your credit card to make a reservation. No, just no. I would have done it, because I love the place but my chef friend said absolutely not. I won't bore you with the machinations I had to go through in my mind and on Yelp to find something with availability that was kid friendly, with menus that covered allergies/sensitivities. Oh, and parking or valet. My brain is STILL recovering. So after all of that, the hotel they were staying at is in Revere, not East Boston. Here is where I used my restaurant booking super powers. Turns out dinner would not be at 8:00 because, shockingly, there is TRAFFIC IN BOSTON. Who knew? My logistics-solving brain kicked in and I needed to find a place that matched the above criteria and would be seating at 9:00. Here is where we came across Vivi's Tapas Bar. They also said they would be able to seat us of we arrived early, which we did. We parked a block or so away (a plus for eating late, there were actually open spaces right along Revere Beach Parkway) and walked over just as the last few minutes of light were in the sky. There were still streaks of light in the sky for pics to be taken. Vivi's is a huge, open and modern space with a bit of an industrial vibe. Lights were low and the candles everywhere made the space glow. The only downside was with nothing to absorb sound, it was SO LOUD. We opted to sit outdoors. This actually worked out really well since the adults could hear each other and the kids could be kids and run around. Starting with drinks, the sangria blanca and Rings of Saturn cocktail were both delicious. One of my friends and I wound up sharing both because she could not decide which she liked more. Two bowls of pasta arrived on the table for the kids before I even realized they were ordered. Both kids left nothing in the bowls so that was a win. Many rounds of peek-a-boo were played and iPads used. The menu has all the tapas bar classics. We went a bit nuts and ordered two of each of the tapas we wanted. Everyone here who is surprised, raise your hands. I loved the zucchini fries, patatas bravas, tortilla and grilled corn salad! The tortilla comes with a salad with fantastic lemony dressing on it. We ordered hummus (didn't taste it), the sticky guava pork ribs (sweet and delicious but more bone that meat). The chicken pinxtos skewers were very good. My friend who loves anything raw (she ordered the steak and scallops tartar), took one bite of the scallops and asked me to take them away. She really did not like them. The steak tartar was OK. Three people ordered the steak parrillada and the flat iron steak. These were other people's food so I didn't sneak a bite. I didn't want to get stabbed by a fork or lose a finger. At this point it is after 10:00 and the five-year old was cranky, tired and acting up a bit. Here is where the location was so perfect. One of my friends took the boy for a long walk down the beach to work out some of the issues he was having. It worked! See, how good sea air is for you? Of course once they got back, we ordered all the desserts. For me the flan was perfect. At this point I appreciated the small portion (maybe four bites). Perfect after a meal where you want one bite of something sweet to share with others. Next up I loved the churros, served with chocolate and caramel dipping sauces. Delicioso! I normally love budino, but the chocolate one they served was . . . meh. I had no desire to sneak a second bite. One of my friends and I love rice pudding (think Proust and madeleines). This version looked gruel like. It must have been the cinnamon that turned it an odd color. It was too soupy with no body to it. I took one bite and tasted orange blossom water, of which I am not a fan. We were there late but there was no rush for us to leave, which was nice, since so many places now have that rule of "you have 90 minutes to eat, then get out!" A special thank you to our server (Stephanie), who was really lovely and patient with our special brand of chaos that included screaming kids, dietary allergies, cross contamination questions, and changes/additions to what we ordered. You are a saint! I would definitely make a trip back to Vivi's, next time earlier in the evening to really enjoy some great food and a summer sunset. read more

The Ambiance outside at the lounge is cute, but the tapas were meh and the service was as well. We got no waters to start, had to beg for some, and were missing 2 tapas after they all came out. A day later, I'm now realizing we actually missed another one that we were still charged for. We ordered dessert (churros, good chocolate but so much sugar on them), but had to ask for silverware. Just a lot of common mistakes, on top of wildly overpriced tapas that were mediocre at best. read more

Ambiance was nice but the lighting shift at tte bar at 8:30 from normal bright to intimate nightclub made eating difficult. Had 7:45 reservations, but life changed and we could make 7pm. Had to call to change it, and tte hostess said '6:45 or 7:30 are available...took 7:30 but when we got there about 70% of tables (in and out) + bar was empty...coulda had 7. White sangria was weak and flavorless. Food was good but not great. 6 tapas, 2 pitchers of sangria and tip = $200. Nog worth a return visit. read more
