I would like to thank Jaime Granados for the wonderful customer service and business etiquette when he took my delivery order. I ordered the Pepperoni Vocelli Rolls, they were very delicious and fulfilling! I also ordered the Boneless Wings Plain with Ranch Dressing, unfortunately they had a processed after taste, as if they were FROZEN, THAWED OUT and then BAKED! Over all everything was very delicious and fulfilling meal. I shall reorder the same thing again! Here's the down fall: there was a knock on my door, I asked: "who's there?" No response. This place is getting two stars from me because the guy who took my order, I think his name was Dennis was super rude. I ordered a Neapolitan pizza and he was like "what's that?" It was clearly on the menu behind him but the miscommunication was that their neo pizza represents a size while I intended a neo type of pizza. He said "I want to understand what's going on in your brain cells as to what you want". That man is lucky that the good Lord was with me because I was about to slap the demons out of that man for the way he spoke to me. On top of that, my wife also added Mac and cheese to the order, and you know what came? A Mac and cheese pizza. He said that's what you ordered and I'm like we ordered what's on that picture (which was a picture of Mac and cheese) and he said "no, that's pasta" I'm like "what the hell is Mac and cheese to any normal human being? DO NOT GET VOCELLI PIZZA So this is the second time in a row we have found thin stretchy plastic silicone bits on our pizza from Vocelli. The first time we gave them the benefit of the doubt, because sometimes mistakes happen. They are saying it's the pepperoni casing, which means some dumbass didn't remove the plastic before slicing it. They said multiple people have called, the fact multiple people are complaining should tell them something isn't right. It is not casing that should be on food. My husband has been a professional chef for over 15 years. So just a heads up. While I'm ranting I might as well let you know if you want delivery around dinner time double the time quote they give you because they are never even close to on time. read more

Vocelli used to sell decent pizza at slightly higher prices but compared to Pizza Hut and others it was worth the added cost. Lately the pizza is just average. I don't order other menu items so I can't comment on them. The coupon specials were decent. Now the customer service just seems to bite. From the order takers cashiers to delivery. I moved to this area about a year ago and have had great pizza and service. I am now just getting around to the review. About 2-3 weeks ago my wife ordered online and messed up the order by ordering it with half sauce. I called and spoke to Dennis. He stated they already had it in the oven and that was within 5 min. He also said there was nothing they were able to do about it and when he saw order come in it didn't look right. I tried to explain she messed it up and he argued with me and then hung up on me. I then called back and ask for a supervisor and he continued to give me the worst attitude ever and said she was not in let alone give me her name. We ordered our pizza at 430pm and was told 20-45 minutes for delivery. After an hour and 10 minutes later they still didn't know where the driver was with our pizza. I have called back 3 times to let them know it still hadn't arrived. The young man who answered the phone was rude and offered no solution. My wife went in to make sure we received our refund and was met with rude and disrespectful employees to include the manager. They offered no apologies or new pizzas. I have been ordering from here for years. I've only had an actual pizza once, and didn't really like it. I keep going back for their strombolis they are absolutely amazing. Their wings are good as well and come in a variety of flavors. I've had their cheese bread before and the amount you get is about the size of a small pizza. Depending on the day it's good. Some days it has a tendency to be over cooked and the cheese is hard. You never get the amount of cheese you would if you ordered from Pizza Hut. I also like their chicken (forgot the exact name) salad. I do spend a good amount of time pulling onions off because of the amount they put. This probably could be avoided if I asked for no onions. Every time you order they tell you the wait is 50 minutes. It doesn't usually take that long. The only times I've had it take that long is when their is a new delivery driver and I assume it's because getting to my house isn't easy. All of the delivery drivers I've met have been pleasant and the food has been hot all but one time. read more

First trip to DC and my sister suggested Vocellis, I really like to try local food when I'm out and about, helps me to understand the culture, we ordered several different pizzas for take out, a white chicken pizza, a Philly cheesesteak pizzas and a sausage and pepperoni pizza for carry out. We've been ordering from Vocelli regularly for years. It's three minutes from our house and is much better than Dominoes. But in the last couple of online orders, I've noticed that delivery times are very long and the pizza isn't arriving hot. Tonight, I ordered online at 4:14, and the pizza didn't arrive until 5:30, and this is after I called to check on it. When my husband called to let them know that the pizza was cold - which we've never complained about in all the years of ordering from there - he was hung up on. He called back, and was hung up on again. He did not raise his voice or say anything inappropriate, so I'm at a loss about this. I ordered a pizza online for delivery to my hotel room. It came fairly quickly and it was delicious! The crust is the perfect mix of chewy and crusty. The sauce is well flavored, the cheese used is tasty, and they use little pepperonis that get nice and crispy. It was not greasy, even though I ordered double pepperoni. Increasing my opinion from 3 to 4 stars. Vocelli only does delivery (extremely prompt) and take-away. Pizzas are very good, though I prefer my crust crispier than the Vocelli type. Sometimes I feel that the crust wasn't quite finished cooking, so I heat the pizza in my oveHalf a large pizza feeds me, so I tend to put the other half into the fridge for snacking later or lunch the next day. The salads are also very good. This is a reliable, consistent product and certainly worth an order. One significant glitch to take into account: online orders tend to be wrong more than half the time. If I order mushrooms on one half & olives on the other I can get a pizza with one or the other topping missing, both toppings on the same side, one toping on both sides, a wrong topping, or, once, a 100% wrong pizza! This rarely happens with phone in orders, but tends to happen on busy nights, such as when some big game is playing. Now given that I am not a big game hunter, don't watch televised sports & don't play with food, I want the order to be correct. At least it is almost always acceptable! Oh, & the delivery people are fantastic; prompt, courteous, & very professional. Tip them well! read more

Usually we don't have issues with our delivery orders from here. However, tonight part of our order of wings was missing. When we called to let them know and to get our money back the male employee that answered the phone was having a hard time finding our order. Within 3 minutes I had to repeat my address four times because he kept saying a different address and stating there wasn't an order made. When he finally located our order I requested a refund on the food we didn't receive. He stated he did not know how to complete a refund so a female employee got on the phone. She rudely told me they were too busy to complete the transaction and she would call me back. Complete incompetence from the male employee and terrible customer service from the female employee. I stopped by with a small group to order some carryout pizza for lunch. Several people got the lunch deal which was a small 1-topping pizza with a soda for about $8. I split a large chicken rustico, one of their specialty pizzas. YUM. Their original crust was piled with toppings (chicken strips, artichokes, spinach, red onions). Everyone liked their pizzas but I think the specialty ones are the way to go here. Service was a bit spastic but when we had an extra 10 minute wait or so before the last of us got our pizza, they threw in another one for free. I just yelped about another location so I just want to give credit where credit is due. This location is the first Vocellis I've been to and their food is always excellent. Plain cheese pizza is absolutely delicious, Vocellis pepperoni rolls and Tuscan chicken salad delicious as well. Never had a problem with customer service either. They have always been very nice and courteous. I have since moved and for delivery I had to go with the Rose Hill location... Bad idea. Rose Hill is awful.
