I tried the wedge salad in a wrap and it was excellent. I also tried the nachos with chicken and they were great, as well. Draft beers are on point with something for everyone. I'm not much for breweries, but this was good. Their burgers were great. I had a cocktail and one of their beers. Both were very good. The service was a little bit self-serve, you order from an app and the food doesn't come out all at once. You don't have a regular server coming to check on you, but several people came by to see if we were ok. It's a casual space with tables made from pallets. read more

Stumbled upon this new brewery the other week with my husband! We were pretty impressed with how packed it was! We had our 5 month yr old with us so we went towards the back and sat away from people so we could spread out which was nice. Manager came right over and chatted with us a few times-- very kind, personable & seemed like an awesome guy. Had the sour, it was very pleasant tasting (and green!) husband had an IPA which he seemed to like. We shared the turkey club which was also pretty tasty, chips were VERY salty though. Everything is on a QR code, even when you order. The servers were helpful though. All I could think of however, is if my parents came here, they would have no idea how to order so I worry in that aspect. Overall, good little place & we will be back! read more

My mom told me to stay away from the Voodoo, but who can resist! They recently opened this past weekend and I've enjoyed both of my visits. Food is surprisingly delicious and the beer taps are fantastic. So far, the Good Vibes IPA is my favorite. Must visit if you are near Virginia Beach. read more

The lack of customer service is a deal breaker for me. Food is FINE-yup, that's the point I mean to make. Despite practically nonexistent customer service, we are still expected to tip the people that, brusquely, deliver our order. Soooo lame. Add to that the fact that the table is unbalanced, rocking noticeably and the table finish was slatted with gaps that had old food scraps and crumbs wedged in these grooves. Just plain gross! The clientele seems to be mostly single women of differing ages, a couple men at the bar but, unless in a couple situation, only women type of establishment. If you fit that dynamic and are willing to donate to their political Ukraine (despite $175 BILLION via tax dollars) cause, then head to Voodoo. Otherwise, go where your willingness to spend money is valued and businesses will provide the service to prove it! read more

My son and his girlfriend are moving to Pa. and I wanted to have a See Ya Later party for him before he leaves. I reached out to Voodoo Brewing and they were very happy for me to hold his party. The staff including Max and the owners were absolutely wonderful to work with from figuring out the food we would have to the tables we would have reserved for the party. The event was this past Saturday and all 58 guests had a great time. They loved the food and the variety of drinks. Everyone had a great time and I can't thank the Voodoo staff enough. Stopped by for lunch Wednesday afternoon at 12:30- we were seated right away and directed to the QR code in the table. You order from your phone and your food is brought out. We were not offered any water and the server only came to our table to deliver our food- and we were there for 3 hours(chatting and eating). This is where I get annoyed with the tipping options in the app- I wasn't "waited on" at all. Just curious as to why I'm expected to tip when all the server did was deliver my food to my table- at no other time did she appear at our table, not even to clear the dishes that sat there the entire time. I had a hankering for this Mac and cheese and accidentally broke up with my boyfriend bc of how hangry I was without this meal in front of me. Then the night took a turn for the worse and the anxiety coupled with the lactose caused me to shart my pants. My server was so kind and brought me napkins and escorted me to the bathroom. Usually this amount of lactose would punch me a 1 way ticket to the ER, but my god were the flavors in this maccy worth it. Anyways, back to the story. The server walked me into the bathroom and held my hand through the ordeal as it felt like I was giving birth to a lactose baby. As we left, she yelled, 'Wait!', employees must wash their hands before returning to work. That is when I knew the quality of Voodoo Brewing's food went beyond just the symphony of flavors among my 'buds. I have since purchased so much lactaid in preparation for the maccy, that it is on back order. I will be naming my first born child Voodoo. On top of that they even changed the channel to my college football team in the last quarter to watch them beat our arch rivals...good times for sure. My better half and I had a great time at the Voodoo. Great selection of barley pops and the food was tasty. We sat and played gin at the bar, the staff was really busy, but always checked on us if we needed a refill. I liked the atmosphere, ONE TV thank God, hope it stays that way! The service was good. The variety of beer was very good. The food was awful. Stale bread, oily and bad taste.

While the food and beverage offerings are decent, their model of doing business and lack of customer service leave much to be desired. From the minute you enter, a sign instructs you to just go find a seat yourself-no greeting to welcome customers. From the start, Voodoo (a PA company) shills for donations to Ukraine. Individual laminated requests are prominently placed on each table as well as a lengthy table top display for a silent auction to, again, benefit Ukraine. Another posting on the table basically says "don't bother us- scan the code, order and pay online." After a lengthy period, a staff member stopped by to tell us if we didn't want to order in their suggested manner, then we can get up, go to the bar and order directly from the bartender. Given that the bar was fully occupied, this seemed like an awkward option. While they did have a couple employees delivering food and drinks, instead of providing a more personal, traditional level of service for paying customers, they strolled around chatting with their acquaintances. The place is relatively small and convos were easily overheard. I've no idea what one would do should they require a carry out container, refill on nonalcoholic beverage or any other basic service all other reputable establishments provide. So, if decent food in a place with great health ratings is all you desire, Voodoo is the place for you-just know that you are still expected to fully tip these pseudo-servers. If you desire a more well-rounded dining experience where you will receive the service you pay and tip for, then head across the street to Town Center, proper. In Town Center, you will find a multitude of establishments where they are willing to do the work to earn your business and the gratuity you bestow on the servers are actually earned. read more
