I went in to try to make a deal on a car and they offered me about $7,500 less on my trade in than what KBB and JDM Power said was a fair value. When I pointed this out, the first sales manager claimed they get their values "from blue book, red book, black book, etc...". Then I talked to the second manager and pointed out that "red book" is not a real source. He claimed the first manage was just using a figure of speech. If I am there to make a deal with real money, I don't want to be told made up data and try to cover it as a "figure of speech." Then, I asked the second manager to show me the numbers that they were seeing for my truck's value. He printed me a piece of paper claiming JDM said it was worth 26,700, adjusted to 27,750. When I got home, I looked it up on the JDM website and the website said the average trade-in value was 31,100. I called that manager back and pointed out the difference, which he did not have an explanation for. Overall, my experience was terrible. If you want to deal with a dishonest dealer and get ripped off, this is the place for you. I will be shopping elsewhere going forward and would recommend you do the same. Up until now Vordemans has done an excellent job on my husband's Mercedes, but not any more. Today they only did half the work we requested them to do. Because my husband works for an auto parts shop they have always allowed him to bring his own parts. Today they wouldn't put the brake pads on and my husband was told he that two of the four oxygen sensors were not the right part and couldn't bother to call to let him know that. He literally works 1/4 of a mile away from the dealership! They don't answer the phone when you call nor do they call you to let you know the status of the repairs. It looks as if the customers at the auto parts shop will no longer be advised to go to Vordemans for their repairs any longer. We purchase a used Vehicle from here. We purchase the repair insurance. We had a claim to make but insurance company had no knowledge of it even my mechanic tried and same results. Come to find out they had not turned it in to activate it. Policy was for 90 days and took them 60 days to get it turned in so we could get issue fixed. We had to send this vehicle through detail 2 more times to get it cleaned and dog hair , the whole interior clean like a vehicle is supposed to be detailed. I went to change the oil and filter in it the other day and lord behold their so called mechanics over tightened the oil drain bolt so much I had to use a Vise Grip and use 2 hands to get it clamped so tight so it would not slip plus a 3lbs hammer to budge it loose. I also had to go purchase a new oil drain plug. Not the brightest mechanic by far. We also received 1 free car wash a month that I refuse to use because if they can't detail a used vehicle for resale I can't imagine what they would do for a vehicle car wash and screw up. I bought a car from their used lot a little over a month ago. It has been in the shop THREE times now, after I was repeatedly reassured when buying it that it was in great shape. They helped me with the first fix issue, and told me they cut me a deal on the cost to fix the second problem (although it was still an expensive fix). I called to let them know the car broke down again, and the manager tells me I bought a cheap car and that it was my fault I did not budget for a warranty or maintenance. (Having your car serviced THREE times in ONE MONTH is not typical maintenance!!) I was so excited to shop for my first VW after falling in love with them only a few years ago. However my experience with this dealership and some of the people working here, was horrible. After going through all the hoops to get approved and to find that care that I wanted. I was able to come pick up my car and finalize my paper work with Adam (car salesman) and Justin (Financial Guy). Justin from the first paper I signed mislead me on everything I was signing. I knew what I was signing but when it came time to leave and I asked for copies of everything and his buisness card he assured me that it was in the paper work he gave me. I have two boys under 5 so looking overeverything he gave me wasnt in the cards in that moment. However when i got home I emailed Adam and expressed I didnt get any of that paperwork. He had someone else in the company reach out to me and refused to help me anymore. The woman I got to talk to after that is my reason I wanted to write this at all. The woman from the main office pretty much said she didnt care, they wouldnt help me further, and that I should just be happy that she got me the car at all. That she only did it because she "Felt Bad for me". Never in my life have I felt so small. Its their job to run my credit, its not their job to judge me and belittle me. My husband and I make great money, I wasnt approved for a 2019 because she felt bad for me. This comment amoung many other from this company was hurtful and insensitive. I've bought two cars off of this lot . Both cars came in good condition , no problems . The second they got off the lot it seemed that it needed repair after repair after repair . I recently just went in for an oil change , they charged me $100 for it . Which is a lot more than other competitors (disappointing , right ?) . My car was driving perfectly fine when arrived at the shop . Once the oil change was done they told me "Your breaks are DETACHING from the break pads and your rotors need done, that'll be $500" First of all , my car drove PERFECT before I came in ... the second I left ... my car stopped breaking like it used to ... Had our salesman not been such a good guy, I would give this dealership (1) star. We had been searching for a "VW Certified Used" Beetle for our daughter. Found the right color at Vorderman and made the trip to Ft. Wayne from Indy. After negotiating the sell price, problems started when we had to "wait in line" over (2) hours to pay for it! By the time we finished, they had already closed and it was dark for our drive back to Indy. The most concerning issue developed 2 weeks later when we started noticing leaked diesel fuel in our garage. We immediately took it to the local VW dealer (Tom Wood VW). It was discovered that the return diesel fuel line had been leaking "for an extended period of time" (certainly before we purchased the car). We're now waiting for parts including all underbody trays that were warped and saturated with diesel fuel. It's obvious that Vorderman VW did not properly inspect this car during their supposed "Certified Used Car Inspection" process. Because of that, I suggest avoiding this dealership especially when searching for a late model VW. read more

I bought a used Beetle and actually, this is the first car purchase I regret. I bought it on a rainy day and got it home to find the hood was pretty gnarly looking. Also, the manual is in French, with no english. Since then it has been pretty well behaved. I just wish I would have not succummed to the pressure to buy that day and waited to see it in the sun. I would have waited and gotten a different beetle. Every time I look at it, I die a little inside. Walked in and Dennis picked up right away that I was already a VW enthusiast; that meant he didn't hassle or bug me with silly sales pitches, but instead waited until I had any questions and then simply answered them. It was VERY low pressure and he was relaxed and easy to chat with. He didn't insist upon a ride-along test drive which made me feel more relaxed about testing out the car. The entire process was quick, painless, and full of nice joke-filled non-awkward idle conversation when waiting around at various times (credit check, paperwork, etc). Home of the 3 hour oil change. Service Dept was very slow and not proactive. I had to address them after being in the lobby for over two hours, all I got was an oil change. Have had issues in the past as well, they double filled the oil in my Passat (8qts) and did almost nothing to correct the issue. When I bought my vehicle through them last year, I was really impressed with the amount of work and dedication their employees put into making sure I got the best car I could, and the finance department went above and beyond to help me out with affordability. When I damaged it and needed to come back in to have it serviced, the service department guys were so friendly and so ready to explain anything I wanted to know about what's going on, and what to do next for every stage of repair. They squeezed me in during busy season and really put me at ease with some of my own anxieties about driving. I leased an Atlas in March 2020. This was because I was approached by a sales rep and told that my existing Tiguan lease, ending in July, qualified for a three month pull ahead incentive. The deal would cover the last three months payments on that old lease. The rep even double checked that I did only have three payments left. 6 months later, I was still receiving bills from VW. Which I had to go ahead and pay in order to not hurt my credit. VW credit claims the fine print of the deal did not include payments that had been deferred. I was not ever made aware of this by Vorderman sales rep. No clue why it would matter anyway, since three months is three months. Had I been made aware, I simply would not have turned in lease early. Very disappointed in this dealership. My husband and I contacted Ryan, Jerry, and Reg. We were told that we should have known. Which is interesting, because they claim that they did not even know. Beware. You would think this dealership and VW Credit cooperate, but they do not. They just both point fingers at each other and leave you will the bill. In this case it ended up being three months of double payments for me. Or, maybe it is they both cooperate very well making a profit for VW... We simply asked that they help cover some of the misunderstanding. Not the whole thing. Just something to show good faith since the fine print had not been made clear or even mentioned. And were told that we were greedy and were trying to play the system. Ridiculous. The customer is always wrong at Vorderman. read more

Avoid these people like the plague. My audi a8 is now ready for a 3rd transmission in 15,000 mi. They put in the first, it died and they had to replace it under warranty. The warranty just expired on the second and now a third is necessary. After a conversation with their service people, I was able to determine that they purchased the units from a company that had an F rating from the BBB. The rebuild company sells these units for right around $2000. Vorderman charged $5000 for the job. Before writing this review, I sent a letter to the owner asking for his opinion on this matter......no answer. I guess he is indifferent. There are now 3 reviews for this company, one 2 star and 2 with1 star, probably because there is nothing lower. Do business here at your own peril, you have been warned! read more

They were very apologetic and understood where my frustration stemmed from. Initially, I avoided Vorderman's because I know dealers typically charge 30% more than any other mechanic. After a terrible experience with the only independent VW shop in town, I ran to Vorderman and was treated well. They handled my repairs promptly, offer helpful customer perks (e.g., courtesy shuttle home/back), and gave me a list of "additional suggested" maintenance that you might expect...but they were NICE about it. They weren't pushy at all, and gave me space to say, "Thanks, but not today," without any pressure. I know they are pricey, but they treated me fairly, and from what I can tell, they are the only honest VW mechanic in town....I guess I'll have to pay a premium for that in FW? read more
