My son and I stopped here on our way home from Boy Scout Camp. The restaurant, located in the same building that houses the control tower for Mojave Air and Space Port, is clean and neat and the walls are covered in local airplane memorabilia. The outside wall is nothing but windows with a commanding view of the flight line so you can watch aircraft come and go and each table has a speaker you can turn on to listen in on the radio traffic from the tower. The waitress was friendly, funny and attentive. She more than earned her tip while we were there as my glass was never empty. My son and I both ordered the Peanut Butter Burger. Now before you say "gross" let me tell you it was very good. Creamy peanut butter on the bottom bun, followed by a hand formed patty cooked to perfection, two slices of bacon, a slice of Swiss cheese and finally some thousand island dressing. Each flavor took its turn on your tastebuds so nothing overpowered anything else. Peanut butter first, followed by the delicious beef, crisp bacon and finally the delicate taste of Swiss cheese finished it off. We stayed in Mojave on our way home, dining places are rather limited here! We ended up,at Denny's for dinner... Went to Voyager for breakfast, I wasn't hungry as was too early so went for just tea. Wife had the eggs, hash browns and pancakes... Our server was friendly, helpful, cheerful and noted to be exceptionally attentive to a lone senior diner. For me as a pilot the only disappointment was the lack of activity on the airfield and I couldn't make the (ATC.) speaker work. The menu alone is a delight to any aviator. Found this little gem while traveling. Right next to the airport. You can see the airplane "graveyard" up close that you normally see from the freeway. They have lots interesting aerospace info, pics and memorabilia on the walls. The was reasonably clean. The staff was very friendly and attentive & personable. The service was fast. This place is great! We always show up here with a huge group and get fantastic service. We have come for plane crazy Saturday and other weekends. It is very child friendly. The staff is very nice and always takes care of us. They ensure we have everything we need for the kids. We always find seating within 15 minutes of arriving. The food is always delicious and hot! The kids are always entertained looking at the flight line out the window. We had a friend flying with his airplane once and it was easy and convenient. No complaints! We would definitely recommend this restaurant and will be returning as we always do. read more

Sooo disappointed. I was reading all the reviews and decided to stop here for a late breakfast on my way home from Vegas. Sounded like great service great food. I can't say anything about the food because I didn't get a chance to eat anything. We walked in and the sign read seat yourself, so we did and then waited and waited and waited. Got our menu with no greeting and she didn't even wait so we could get drinks. Then waited more only to be told they weren't serving breakfast( it says they do serve all day breakfast).Then we were left and the waitress never returned. There was only one other table occupied . Then a large party came in (who were locals and also surprised there was no breakfast). She got them drinks then went back and took their order. Still she had not come back to our table. Showed up on a Wednesday morning, the restaurant was clean and tidy. Our server, Sofia, was friendly and attentive. My husband had the pleasure of landing here while doing a Coast Guard mission and continued to rave about the Peanut Butter Burger. I thought it sounded a little gross to be honest. When we were driving back from Vegas we visited it again and I had one. It's actually very good. Cool little place, if you're an aviation buff you'll love all the Voyager memorabilia, and there's scale composites. Restaurant is right next to the ramp, you'll never know who might fly up and park. This place will always hold a special place in my heart. I feel like nobody else knows about it and I've visited it twice after great camping trips in the desert. The peanut butter burger is literally one of the top 3 burgers I've ever had and my friend swears the grilled cheese was top notch too. If you're ever in Mohave desert (which we happened to be), this is an awesome place to have breakfast. Great service, delicious food, and a view of the runway. If you are traveling through Mojave on either SR14 or SR58 it is worth your time to pull into the Air and Space Port and grab a bite to eat at this friendly establishment located adjacent to the tower. The food is well executed, particularly the sandwiches and the hot breakfast offerings are cooked correctly. My only minor issue with the breakfast menu is the French Toast, which is thin sliced sandwich bread as opposed to a more thicker slice of bread (it was quite good, but if you want something more substantial opt for something else.) Give the place high marks for warming the maple syrup container for griddle items. One of the bonuses of eating here is watching the flight line activity through the windows. Skip the chain restaurants and come here for a break from the road. read more

We asked for ice tea refill and my husband got an ice tea with no ice . She was very unprofessional and said that she could not hear us from the kitchen . IHi I went into the voyager restaurant the other day for lunch it was after the lunch hour there was only two booths that have people in them and there was two waitresses and it was peaceful I walked in I sat down. And I waited and I waited but 10 minutes and I look over at the waitress who standing there with a menu in her hand visiting with the young man the other waitress that was there walked right past me and went and sat in a booth and started visiting some people . Finally I looked at one of the waitress that's down there talk to the young man and I waved to her, like hello! She looked at me did not change the expression on her face and continue talking to the young man.didn't even acknowledge me. I was embarrassed and humiliated the other people at the other booths are looking at me, I felt like I was inch tall, so I grabbed my things and left. I'm writing this review hoping an owner or manager will see this , if I was an owner I would like to know how my employees were treating my customers. The customers that pay that snobby little bitches wages. I will never go back. ST. I go here with my family of 15-18 people every year between Christmas and New Year's Day. It's our breakfast stop on our way up to Mammoth and I truly commend them for being able to serve our large group. It's a lot to manage! So bravo. read more

The Voyager is a great aerospace hang out. The food is good and there's always something interesting on the tarmac. During the lunch rush the food may take a minute or two but it's still just as good. Remember you are also paying for the atmosphere so expect an extra dollar or two for the same amount of food elsewhere. Its worth it though. read more
