My Cobra was in with Vlado for some work, alternator swap and air intake. But Vlado and his team went above and beyond. They did all this work, and more. Rewired the car, made new parts, really exceeded all expectations. But it didn't end there! When I went in to pick it up, I asked about a fuel line. Vlad took a look and said "hold on, let me put in on a lift and change it for you". Then he did just that, but while doing that he saw something minor that he wanted to fix. This shows the level of detail that they do at V's. They did a quick fix on this too. None of that was in our original scope of work, but they are so thorough they did it all. There is literally no one else I would trust with my car more than V's Performance. We are already talking about some of the next fun upgrades that can be done. Rest assured this is THE PLACE to take your high performance car. Vlado was in constant communication with me also, sending me pics almost daily when he was doing the work to keep me updated. V spent a lot of time speaking with me about an issue I have with a cobra that they did not build, but V was still happy to help me with my problem. He was very knowledgeable and had a great understanding of the problem. He made some suggestions for things to check and a couple of things to try to resolve my problem. I need a transaxle for a Superformance, I am not local, and they are unobtainable post-pandemic. I called and explained that I am looking for one, that I'm not a prospective customer for installation, and want parts only after someone told me that he might have one under his pillow (he doesn't). V spent perhaps 20 minutes talking to me - someone who wasn't really his likely customer - about things that he had no control over, where he thought things were going, and giving advice on hardware that he didn't strictly need to give out. I found him to be a refreshingly honest and a straightforward person that I'd be happy to do business with (If I weren't able to do much of what he does mechanically myself). If you're NOT a mechanical person and need services from someone who is, my call is that this person probably gets out of bed intending to do right by others and isn't a hustler - your mileage may vary. I'm so thankful I found this shop, Vlado is hands down the most kind and thoughtful mechanic I've ever met! Another shop quoted me on a new wheel bearing (around $400) due to the noises my car was making, but Vlado let me know that not only was the wheel bearing fine, the reason for the noises was due to the lug nuts being loose on all wheels (a result of prior brake/rotor work from aforementioned other shop). He tightened them all up, the noise went away and he even replaced a missing lug nut and pointed out a cracked tire. I'll definitely be returning to Vlado! Aside from saving money, I really appreciated that he kept me informed throughout the repairs about status and what he was doing. He checked in with me multiple times, so I wasn't left wondering what was going on. The waiting room is very comfortable with a couch and a large tv. If you need a place to get performance modifications done, this is hands down the place to go. It's a family owned business with 20+ years under their belts. If your car has a motor and a steering wheel, odds are they have worked on it before and will work on yours too. My car is an out-of-state rust bucket and after being turned away from several shops who got spooked at the sight of rust, V's took me in finished in two hours what other places said they could do in a day. They have a comfortable waiting area, enthusiastic and knowledgeable staff, and the nicest collection of race vehicles on the property I've seen in a long while. read more

I drive a 2007 Honda Civic. I noticed that my brakes were feeling mushy and a little squeaky. I used to have my friend do work on my car, but he's too busy. So I went through the dreaded task of finding a new mechanic. I found V's on Yelp and read the reviews there, and also checked out their website. I called in to feel it out over the phone, and spoke to a nice lady. V's mom. She's a ridiculously friendly Yugoslavian mama. I asked her what hours they were open on Monday and she gave me the 8am -6pm timing which is what it says here. She asked what I needed, and I told her I need a brake job. I planned on bringing my car in on Monday while I was at work. A couple hours go by and I get a call from Vlado. He offered to take a look at the car, and I asked if he'd look at it when I get off work. 5:15 pm on a Friday. He said sure, come on over. No resistance, genuinely happy to help me. I drove down the row to the shop and his mama greeted me profusely (actually I think she mistook me for someone else, but whatever. She's super nice.) Vlado came out right away, has good communication skills, no funny business. Friendly. He took my car for a spin and came back. My rear brakes are good. Front brakes have 20% left to go. I could drive it for another month. Since this has been bothering me for a while, I opted to just fix them now. I'm getting rotor replacement and new pads on both sides for $204 including tax. Wow, way less than what I was expecting. He stayed late to get the job done for me, which was super sweet and not even something I expected. I just thought I'd get an estimate and see if anything else was wrong, and I'd bring the car in on Monday. He ordered the parts and literally 10 minutes later, the parts place delivered to the shop. Like super fast, holy cow I had no idea that parts shops do stuff like that! Vlado is a good Cali boy now, speaks perfect English, and has a passion for high performance vehicles. He showed me around the shop and I could see that he really likes what he does. Anyways, I've had various repairs done on my cars over the years and I HATE feeling like some mechanic was taking advantage of the fact that I am female to treat me like I'm dumb or unaware. I must say this experience was amazing and I'm definitely going to be recommending him to my friends, and I will bring my baby, Maurice back here again. Drove in late afternoon the day after Christmas with coolant leak, they diagnosed the cracked overflow tank (plastic naturally) ordered the part had it delivered while they removed cracked tank, showed me the crack, replaced part and test drove car while I waited. Oh, and they let me ogle all of the crazy cool high performance autos they had around. Anything I can't fix myself these guys will get my business every time. I love this place. I have taken my car (1995 240sx) here a couple of times and will continue to do so. They are clearly a performance shop and mostly deal with custom race / track cars but don't act like they are too important to take care of a small issue. A few weeks ago i had a strange noise coming from my brakes. I called from the road and they said to go ahead a stop by. they put my car on the rack and found rocks wedged in there (neighborhood kids) They blew them out and when i asked what i owed and the answer was nothing. So no they didn't make me sign a legal waver before looking at my car like you would expect from Sears or some place like that but they did take great care of me and I trust the knowledge and integrity at V's Automotive. read more

This is THE shop to go to! Went to this place for my wife's 2005 Accord and for my 2009 Lexus. *He's is honest and straightforward with you. He will show you so you can see the things he sees wrong with your car. Unlike many other shops where they'll just tell you "This is wrong and you need it fixed," he will provide evidence. One time we went there for my wife's oil change and most other shops would just do the oil change and won't tell you but he saw something wrong with the serpentine belt and he brought it to our attention! *He is down to earth and friendly! Everyone that works there is friendly. HIs demeanor and his presence is not intmidating. He doesn't rush you or anything at all! *He knows a lot about cars. You can see he loves cars. I mean his shop has a bunch of cars/projects that he works on so you can tell he's not there to just collect money. One example: My lexus has 4 tires but the front 2 are smaller by design. He let us know that (our dealership didn't) and explained to us the pros and cons of having smaller sized tires in the front. *The whole staff is friendly and nice. We brought our car there and didn't bring any alternative transportation since it was going to take some time to get some work done. They offered and drove us to our home!! No charge! Vlad's mother is very nice! *He does oil changes, brakes, tire changes, basically everything. *Pricing is fair and reasonable and he'll tell you what it will cost upfront. He'll even let you know if he thinks the price might be off a little of his quote for whatever reason whether it is tax or labor. He is my GO TO GUY now. I received a Premium oil change at Mr V's at a price which was substantially lower than anywhere else I called. Only took about 30 minutes and I was on my way. Unless under a dealer warranty, no auto service should be done at dealerships or Quickie, Jiffy, Speedy, Econo, EZ... Lube shops. Mr Vs is honest and upfront, what you'd expect from a budding small business trying to grow. This is one of those places you wish you already knew about when there is trouble with your car. BAD EXPERIENCE i called vsautomotive and asked for a rough estimate for a engine swap. He told me the price for that then i proceed to explain more about my other vehicle that i wanted fabrication for a exhaust system. He said he would call me back.. i waited two days....no call back has been received. i called again today because a gentleman explained to me to ask for him directly so he can help me out personally. The manager answered the phone and i told him what happened and i asked for the website address so i can look more into this company. The manager asked why do u need to know. I requested a pre-purchase inspection with this shop. I was looking for a complete check, including lift and under-carriage, oil, electrical, brakes, fluids. All was done by a nice young mechanic by name of Darnel. Another popular garage would also do same for $147.00 and needed an appointment. V's took my request in 1/2 an hour and the fee was $85.00 for my particular car. Was pleased with the immediate service. Edit update: Unfortunately, the tech failed to see severely worn control arm bushings and broken motor mounts. I bought the car from ASA Motors and immediately had to plunk down $1400.00 to fix the rotten parts on the car. Yes, worn parts are normal for an over 10 year old car, BUT, they should have seen it, that's the point of the pre-inspection. I don't doubt the mechanics here have done great work for other folks, just don't understand how these 2 big issues were entirely missed. My recommendation is to track down a tech that knows the car you are looking at and knows what parts tend to need replacement for your particular model, make and year. read more

I've been having trouble with my Honda power window for a while. Recently it started sputtering and not closing correctly. I've been looking for a good mechanic in Orange and I think I've found one. Although my parts took a bit longer than they thought, Vlado and his mom really made my waiting time very comfortable and were always checking on me to make sure if I needed anything. I was kept informed about pricing and what was going on with my car the entire time and I've very happy with the work that was done. My window now works even better than when I first got the car (used), which was more than I was expecting. I had a fantastic experience here. At 7:30pm, on a Saturday night, on a holiday weekend, the red "brake" light on my dash decided to glow at me. With my dealership, and every other auto shop, closed, I looked on yelp and found V's. I called and spoke to Vlado who told me to come on in and he would check out my car. Upon arriving, Vlado stopped what he was doing and took my car back to check it out. His mother, who is an absolute delight and runs the front desk, led me back to a comfortable waiting room. After about an hour, he brought me to the car to show me what happened and explained I needed new rear brake pads/rotors. I really appreciated that he wasn't trying to oversell me.
