We have been here four times and have loved the food:) The wait was pretty long during the soft opening, but that is to be expected. I have never gone to a new restaurant expecting fast service. It is literally impossible to be on par with the many elements of going live coming together. The owners are friendly and you can tell they work their butts off and genuinely care about being successful. My husband was shorted one wing and they brought us 5 more. They even let us try a different sauce with the extra. The shrimp roll appetizer is our family's favorite. We have gotten it every time. I have ordered the Pho twice and it has been delicious. You should be ashamed. *Brand new place. Should have had fresh food. Should have had someone looking over ALL of the food before it is plated. I ordered a Chinese Chicken Salad as my dinner. We shared wings, and my roommate ordered Pho. Attention health department ! E-coli is going around our county (someone literally just died from it), and many other people were very sick, and even hospitalized. We don't want to get sick. Tragically "hidden" under some green lettuce, were numerous (literally) black, mushy, rotten, un-recognizable, smelly, gooey (what used to be) leaves. The wings tasted like expired chicken/old. I walked my salad up to show the manager who told me he was the owner and that he was having some supplier issues. He said that I would get a refund the next day. That they have an outside bookkeeper. FYI-As of this writing, be aware that in addition to having food quality issues, they also have accounting issues-as I have yet to get my refund. Can't find a phone number for them anywhere to follow up. Don't live there and not wasting gas to drive back out there. Even though he (Caesna), said that he owns several other restaurants (by different names) in San Diego, he never even offered a replacement of ANY type of food for my meal, and he obviously lacks management skills. As a result, I did not have ant dinner that night. One of the employees said out loud "that mine was the THIRD salad that had come back that same day". [[HIGHLIGHT]]WHY WERE THEY STILL SERVING IT ??? They weren't busy AT ALL[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. Especially with e-coli going around, I am very worried about food "safety" at this place. We will not be going back. It was the owner that was making the food himself. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Seems to me rather disrespectful to bring some jenky, trendy, SUPER simple, nothing to it, "new" restaurant to town and think the Alpine people don't know old, rotten food[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. PHO in Alpine and not that garbage at the Casino? Truth be told I had my doubts, but the first time I had their PHO I knew they were on point. The skill that it takes to craft PHO broth is the reason I don't make it at home. Not oily, aromatic and flavored just right! Chef knows his PHO for real. read more

Was really pleased after trying it for take out tonight! Pho, shrimp rolls (so much shrimp, garlic noodles with chicken (kids loved), and salt and pepper wings. All very flavorful! Excited to have a new local place like this in town. read more

The drunken noodles are some of the best I've ever had!! The chicken was super tender and flavorful as well. The lumpia is excellent and makes a nice addition to a meal! I'm looking forward to trying some of the other dishes but it will be hard not to order the drunken noodles every time!! read more

We were up in Alpine for business and decided to try something new--We saw this place which listed Noodles and wings--so my spouse ordered the Spice Korean Pork with rice and I ordered the Chicken sandwich and fries--both were FANTASTIC--not only was the owner and server great but the food was GREAT--I have a thing about trying out other places for their Chicken Sandwiches and this was FANTASTIC with nice HOT FRIES which I demand, and OH YES I will take them back if not HOT--we will definately go back for another meal next time in Alpine read more

Was very excited to give this place a go. Wanted to support the new business. However, I ordered lumpia... middle was pink. Not cooked throughly. Figured maybe this is a one off. Unfortunately a week later returned and order lumpia again and still the middle was pink and cold. Not sure if I can bring myself to return again. read more

This is our second time coming here, and will keep coming back. My wife got the rare pho both times, and the first time it took longer to come than the rest of the food. This time it came out right away just as any pho place would bring it out to you. The pho was also better this time around according to the wife. I got the drunken noodles the first time with some protein I forgot which, but it was delicious. They didn't have rice entrees at the time. This time I got the spicy Korean pork rice entree which was just as delicious. 10/10 would recommend and will definitely keep coming back. We're just glad to have something other than another burger or Mexican joint here in Alpine so we want them to succeed so we can keep coming back. We've seen 3 different restaurants in this location since we've been here. So all you Alpine folk, support this delicious local restaurant, so I can keep eating here lol read more
