Me and my husband went to Sunday brunch we got the lamb chops I had collards nd yams with mines he had yarms & Mac & cheese and both of the plates was delicious.. Ample and nice TV's for games or music videos. Cute bar with swings and lights. Otherwise limited seating unless paying for the mini booths that look like mini VIPs. That can be a nice feature for group gatherings. Great spacing overall for groups. Turkey burger was good and drinks are good with good variety and specials. I have been here several times before but this visit did not sit well with me at all. First, the attitude and eye rolling of the waitress was unappealing. We ordered a cranberry and vodka with 2 shots of Titos on the side and total came to $70. We were appalled. This was no more than a $30 or $40 order at most. We felt taken advantage of and immediately left. Maybe the waitress thought we were out of towners or something but there was no way we were paying that. I'm only really able to rate takeout. Things I know from my visit: 1. They frisk you/check bags at the door. The lasagna tastes pretty fair but the portion size was way too small. They need bread or something else included in the $31 price. Also some of the noodles/cheese were hardened. There actually were a lot of hard pieces and I ate mainly the center of the lasagna which was good. 2 The salad was excellent. 3. The staff seemed nervous but maybe it was the clientele. The atmosphere was a bit dry both times I came. The bar area is cute: it has swings and the bar is lit up. The service was cool, I didn't have any complaints at the bar area. The food was good but once ingested and digested, the battle of the bands start going off in ya stomach and you start to ask God why such karma so soon. You immediately asks for forgiveness and you tell yourself to never eat the Alfredo sauce from there again. I haven't been back to eat it since. Stick to the fried foods. We arrived around noon and it wasn't overly packed we had a fairly large party so we were set in the gold seating along the wall -- our server Jasmine got our drinks out to us immediately! Bottomless mimosas are only $15 and they keep them coming. Jasmine also got our food orders in ASAP; and brought them out as they were ready so everyone's food was hot. Listen THE GREENS AND MAC AND CHEESE ARE SO FREAKING GOOD ! Bathrooms are clean ! Normally my friends and I patronize UBAR regularly for R&B nights but we might consider switching to VVS for their R&B nights . Same owner as UBAR VVS just has a more "upscale" vibe . I've been coming to this place for the past 2 years and it has showed me nothing but good vibes. Their menu has a wide variety of food such as brunch and dinner. Also, they have a wide variety of drinks and hookah flavors. The food and the drinks are the bomb. The prices are reasonable and you get more for your money. The restaurant has a lot of seating such as booths, sections, and bar seating. They have a live dj everyday and on Wednesdays they have R&B music all day. I came for a brunch a few weeks ago. It was a pretty good experience. One thing I would say is that it's section based so be prepared to spend some money. They didn't have the particular alcohol I wanted but I didn't know until I gave the waitress my card and she told me they were out of it. I didn't have any food so I can't attest to that. The ambiance is pretty nice for Old National. They do have plenty of other places in the area to go and have a good time and this is one of them. read more

I will say that I like that place is trying to find its rhythm by changing and trying new things. I was waiting try it again once it offered a happy hour. The happy hour menu had lots of selections, the place was not crowded. I liked the fact that the bar had those plastic partitions hanging between the patrons and bartenders. We decided to try a bunch of items on the menu. The happy hour pitchers were not that strong but the food was good except the rib tips were a tad salty and too much sauce. I loved the fried deviled eggs and the Turkey burger. The wings were good (they come with fries....ugh) I don't like the fact that you have to pay when you order your food. I know there are people that will run out on a tab but we shouldn't all be on the "do not trust" list. Taking that risk is a part of business and maybe having that policy in place on the weekend nights but on a weekday when there are not a lot of people is just bothersome. The regular menu is still a bit overpriced as are the drinks. This guy next to us order 2 double shots of ciroc and it was $55!!! Whoa!! First time visiting after seeing and hearing this place is great, not the exact words I would use but everything is perspective. The service was great, shantra does her best to insure that our experience was good however, didn't warn us about the food. I would never recommend it to anyone. EVERYTHING was extremely salty. Literally so much so that it gave us headaches. We ordered the Oxtail pasta and the turkey ribs with fries and Mac as the sides. Everything seemed to be seasoned with salt and old bay seasoning only. The ambience of the place was really cool and everyone seemed to be enjoying the Dj. *Side note* there is a cover charge and if I had to guess the amount is dependent upon how busy it is at the time. There is an unreasonable security guard (wore yellow sweatshirt on Sunday night 7/20) that does not treat people with dignity and respect. Even if you bought a section, they will not do their due diligence to ensure your experience is good when passing security. For some reason, the security guard did not want to let us in and asked us how much we paid for our section after another VVS employee confirmed we reserved the section. When I asked the security guard why does it matter? And asked if he already knows since he works there, he proceeded to falsely accuse me of being loud at a night lounge. Then he unnecessarily called police over as if he was being mistreated. When the police took my side and let me in, he had nothing to say. The other guards were respectful but he had malicious intent seeing as though he did not care to ensure the best for VVS but instead wanted to fill his ego up and prevent people from having a good time. He could've been having a bad day and thats understandable but maybe VVS is not for him. I've been there before and didn't not have this issue with security. People come out to celebrate with their loved ones and get mistreated walking in. Highly discouraged from going back but I had a good time despite the security guard being purposely misunderstanding. read more

Awful food, boring atmosphere, weird seating especially if you are eating. I ordered chicken and waffles with scrambled eggs. Chicken was amazing yet so tiny they must've been actual chicks. The waffle was fine but the eggs had weird green slime in them as if the eggs were boiled but they clearly were scrambled. The placed reeked of bad seafood specifically the lobster, two of my friends ate and got food poisoning. The mimosas were good and strong, but considering there were only 3 other tables occupied at 2pm on a Saturday and plenty of staff, they did not check on us or attend to us as often as they should've. I took so long to get out refills and send back the bad food. The tables and seating are by price I guess so we got this weird little booth where your butt can barely fit on the seat and a tiny heavy table that's supposed to hold food for 6 people. The DJ was great and a lady. Probably the only good thing about this place. Don't let the decor fool you. Over priced, bad food, fishy smell, "busy" waitresses. read more

Their food is good! The chefs in the back clearly take pride in the flavor. The lounge its self and the service was a 3 star experience. This is a urban lounge where twerking on the seats/couches are allowed. Definitely good if you wanna turn up. Three stars because everyone outside of the waiters are just blah. You ask them questions and their demeanor is not friendly. They have $100 bottles on Sunday, which is nice. Overall I'd go back but hoping their staff is friendlier next time. read more

A whole ghetto mess! First of all... got there and found a table in the back. It took 20 minutes for a server to wipe it off. Another 30 mins for a drink order. They bring the bill before the product. Now, I'm not cheap but I ordered a Casamigo single shot and a pineapple juice on the side. They charged me $19.75! I gladly declined the drink and asked for a Apple beer in stead. It took another 10 minutes and when it finally came, the bottle wasn't open and it took the waitress another 10 mins to find a bottle opener. Smh I ordered catfish nuggets and fries. My friend ordered spinach dip and egg rolls. Her food came out first Mine came out Twenty minutes later!!!!! She was already done. I got no condiments. The fish was under seasoned and the fries were dry. I tried to make the best of it, only to discover that half the fish was raw! I received a refund for the food and we left. My husband and I came to this spot for my brother in law's birthday on a Tuesday night. Never heard of it until his gf suggested it. The spot is actually a vibe! The swings at the bar reminded me a Boogalou a bit. The bartender took great care of us as our first time there. We had the crab claws as an appetizer which were really tasty! Our dinner, we got the lump crab and shrimp cakes which BUSS! I do think this spot is a touch overpriced, especially for being on Old National and so far from the city. The drinks were costly. I'd love to check this spot out for brunch tho! I'd also like to note that some of the waiters/waitresses ask for payment of your food as soon as you order BEFORE you get your food which was real different compared to other restaurants. read more

There were about 10 people in the restaurant, and it took quite some time to get drinks. Their happy hour has $2 drinks, so if you're looking for a good time, visit VVS. The service was ok, but in looking at the menu, it's pretty pricey. The shrimp and fish dinner was over $30, and it only comes with dirty rice. I had the tacos and they were just OK. Then, when I asked for a manager, none ever came! Customer service needs improvement. It's clear like a lot of places they care to take your money but not give a pleasant customer experience. Im loving this new spot! The inside is so plush and inviting. We went during brunch, which they have an bottomless mimosa deal for $15. My beautiful sweet waitress Alisha was awesome and a great personality. The food is on the $$$ side but it's tasted like $$ no presentation but it was good for the most part.
