Food is great but service is HORRENDOUS. Ordered pick up, paid the food, and the server walked back to the kitchen without giving me my food nor telling me to wait. I stood awkwardly there and decided my order was still being made. I waited for 10-15 mins and saw two parties pick up their food. When the server arrives with newly made food in bag I get up to receive my order only for the server to tell me this order is for a new party. My food was already made and has been sitting on the side for the past 10-15 minutes if not more. This location has only been open a few months, so try it's new environment. Everything is clean and organized, and the food is actually fairly healthy. The Salmon is new on the menu, and so they recommended it for newbies. I enjoyed the taste of healthy food, but the sauce was a tad salty for my tastes. I went in for a quick bite after a long walk around DB. DELANEY, a very sweet cook, has a way with a chicken bowl. So ono! So moist! Didn't need sauce smothered on the chicken. My review is for customer service. Our online order was running late. It's dinner time so patience is a virtue! What I love is that while hubby waited they asked if they can offer him a drink and when the finally brought the food out they also offered avocado etc... It's not about the free stuff but the attentiveness, which is tough to do when especially when understaffed. I hate walking into a restaurant when they're running and they make you feel like chopped liver. I also enjoyed my food so extra star for that! read more

Salmon was burnt (blackened salmon?) was not on the menu I don't think. $12 for salmon salad, and the greens were very wet? 2 apple slices, 3 tiny tomatoes =not so good. & Waba Sauce on all meat n fish? I think to mask the taste/quality. Every time I walk through the door "hi can I take your order?" Umm hang on we're not at McD or In n Out. Fast Casual. Slow down, greet your guests, take a breath. I think it's obvious when you're ready, as you stop looking up and staring at the menu board. From wrong order being delivered to my home and my inconvenience of having to drive down there to correct the order (defeats the whole purpose of delivery) and staff bring completely rude when i got there. To them taking 1/2 of my meat which was incorrect and putting it on top of a bowl of rice which I would only assume they were going to sell to someone else- Which really made me think where the food I was taking home had been. See I had ordered 1/2 beef & 1/2 chicken the correct way of fixing that would allow me to keep the whole serving of chicken since it had been delivered to my home and give me 1/2 order of beef for my inconvenience of driving to your establishment to fix your mistake. To the owner overseeing the whole thing and not fixing the issue correctly, shame on you!! read more

I love this place! Very close to where I work, usually very friendly, very quick, especially good However, a few weeks ago I came over to enjoy my lunch & there was a new hire working the register. A sweet girl who was timid, and obviously nervous to make a mistake. She did a wonderful job taking my order & made no mistakes. I watched her throughout my lunch break & as I was leaving, she was pulled aside by the manager who was shaming her in front of customers for not being lively enough when customers walked through the door. Mind you, he didn't greet me or anyone else when I was liked in and people followed. It is one thing to scold your associates, but to do it in front of customers is another. Anyways, if she was receiving some kind of encouragement for things she was doing well I know she would have been more engaged. Shame on the manager, embarrassing her in front of customers... Today was disappointing in the level of service and the the temperature of our food. When we arrived and placed our orders some of us received a number to place at our tables and others had numbers on our receipts. Why is this important? It didn't matter what was provided as they called out #s on our receipts. Soooo confusing. Not to mention Vanessa must be having a bad day as she was intense with an attitude. Not even giving it one star as it doesn't deserve it. I picked up food yesterday evening and discovered all the rice was mainly un-cooked. I went back to the store to return. The associates couldn't refund the money because they don't know how to do it! They told me the manager Christina would be there the next day and refund my money. Today I wasted another trip to the restaurant as the manager again wasn't there and that I could meet her tomorrow. They wanted me to give them the receipt and they would refund my money. I told them NO that this was the only way I had proof of purchase. I don't blame the kids working there as they are only doing what they are told by the horrible management. I very much like eating at Waba Grill but I will NEVER order food from there again! It's ridiculous that they don't train the associates to return money to a paying customer. They had a huge "Buy One Get One Free" banner advertising their opening but when I went it had a bunch of stipulations that weren't included on the banner... False advertising to get you in the door at its finest. The deal was only valid if you got a chicken bowl, and you could only get another chicken bowl free. In other words, if you buy a half and half you will NOT get another half and half free. If you buy a steak bowl, you cannot get another steak bowl free. I even tried to pay for my regular half and half and just get the plain chicken bowl free, but nope can't do that either. MUST BUY A CHICKEN BOWL FOR A CHICKEN BOWL... Which the banner in front of their store states none of the above. Plus No attempt from management to turn a first time customer into a repeat customer. One star for the young lady at the register who was trying her best, she seemed to understand why I was confused and disappointed. Not a good first impression, I'm disappointed. Today I went in a little after 8pm to pick up dinner. There were two other guests in the restaurant. I have never witnessed such obnoxious behavior by a lead. You would think she was chef Ramsey in Hells Kitchen the way she was speaking to what appeared to be a new employee she was training. This is WaBa Grill not a Michelin star restaurant. It was very frustrating because it was specific orders that were repeated on phone but made incorrectly. They weren't even busy when I got there, not really pleasing to me. Went into this Wabagrill today 12/31/18. Tried to tell us they had no rice because they close at 5pm though the sign said they close at 6pm. Don't come here, it's very obvious that they do not need the business why else would they turn away paying customers?
