I really like Waba grill for its grilled salmon plate with brown rice, very healthy food!!! I reommed everyone to try it.

Everything is suppose to be healthy, as per their advertisement. They have their teriyaki sauce on the counters, If you look at nutrition label it has high corn fructose syrup. That is like a marmalade of sugar, that goes directly to your liver, developing fatty tissue. Look it up online. This teriyaki sauce is spilled all over your food, making super unhealthy. Maria Luz Briseno a radio host nutritionist, revised her initial recommendation if this restaurant, by asking them to remove the sugar content from their food. I e-mailed them on their personal website asking them if they had changed there ingredients, of course I never received a reply. read more

Food is delicious and i dont feel guilty eating it. I usually get a steak veggie bowl with brown rice. The bowl portions are a lot for a good price. I like that the food is always freshly made, right in front of your eyes! Everyone is always friendly and helpful. The dining room is pretty spacious. read more

I think I have a problem. I order from this place WAY too much lol. Really delicious food and easy quick customizations. I workout and eat a lot so they have no issue changing my food to meet my specifications. I appreciate a food place that takes that into account. Had Seafood bowl and it was half overcooked and half undercooked. Shrimp had this odd amonia taste and Salmon was dry. Veggies half cooked. This new Waba Grill is so good and in a great location! I ordered the Chicken & Steak Plate with brown rice and onions of course! The meat was so tender, a lot better quality than Flame Broiler. Food was great but the service is atrocious. Emily was our cashier and she was extremely rude, she found any opportunity possible to cut us off which led to someone in our party getting their order wrong. I'm here to talk about 2 things the good food from Waba and the bad service I received from this one cashier named Ivone. it was a Tuesday. I order the special they had. First of all she had her face like she didn't wanted to be there she never smile at me, as I was ordering my food she interrupt me many times to talk to her coworker about other orders, wish I think is very rude then when i was about to complete my order she walked to the back with out even telling me to wait a minute. I try to calm down and not make a scene for her bad service. when I complete my order she never offer me a drink or vegetables to include in my bowl. I waited about 5 mins for my order wish I think is good. I check my order and realized it was wrong I talk to the same girl Ivone and she give me her attitude and said it was my mistake. when in every restaurant the costumer should always be right she never apologize for the inconvenience she was very rude and didn't even try to fix my problem I would never go back to Waba again the food is delicious but this girl make my visit a nightmare Waba has lost a loyal costumer because of Ivone's bad service, good thing she had her name tag on.. If you guys ever visit this place ask for another cashier to attend you. Idk how can the owners or managers would put as a cashier such a rude girl that's not very intelligent read more

Let me start by saying service was by far one of the best I've had in a Waba Grill. I've been here several times and somehow I always end up having my order taken by either Claudia or Ivon. They're always very polite and attentive. I have a thing about not having my vegetables in the same bowl as my chicken (always order a chicken veggie bowl). And so I always make a it a point to order it in a separate bowl and make sure the broccoli is cut into smaller pieces. Normally I get weird looks or even "we don't do that here". Not at this Waba with these two girls. They never make a face or even give me attitude for my weird order. So I highly recommend coming here and maybe you'll be served by one of these two girls. read more

This WaBa Grill has definitely been amazingly consistent with both the quality of food and service. I order their Chicken Veggie Bowl with Brown rice, Onions, and Avocado religiously. Ivon and Lady both greet me with warming smiles and friendly hellos. Needless to say, I no longer to go Flame broiler. read more

OK been there 3 times now. paid for brown rice and avocado, which both are extra charge. what food i got was very good, but twice of the 3 times i was given white rice instead of brown. covered with teriyaki sauce it was hard to see that until i was down into the rice to see i got ripped off. after eating some of it, i felt funny returning it to the counter, i am trying to be honest.. but please give me what i ordered and paid extra for. my husband ordered a drink with his which was not charged on our bill or given. So, 1 star for service and ordering accuracy. 4 stars for food quality. the food is great if you get what you order. read more

I go every afternoon for lunch and knowing that it gets packed they work hard to give out the orders quick and warm, I like how they repeat the order to verify what I'm getting, and I also like that they ask for the ID for purchases over $20! WaBa Grill in Downey is great. I love their food. I tried it for the first a few days ago and it was so good. I find myself craving it all the time now. Not only is the food good, but it's in a nice location and has friendly staff. I explained to the cashier that this was my first time here and she was very helpful in explaining the menu and helping me make my final choice. I got the half and half bowl with avocado. Mmmhh...it was delish. Next time I think I'm gonna go for the shrimp bowl just to see what else the menu consists of.
