I have been to waba grill before, but this is my first time coming here. The best part about this is that they accept EBT here. Today, I went here with my boyfriend & both of us got the chicken & steak. My boyfriend loved his bowl & I love my bowl as well. Chicken was moist, soft, and good texture and steak was soft, easy to chew; and great flavors. We both would rate our bowl a 5/5 since we both had it before. They also have their own condiment bar with pickled carrots & jalapeños, green onions, waba sauce, and hot sauce. They also have their own soda foundation as well so that you can refill your drinks on the go when dining in. The service was fast & employee is very nice and friendly. There is plenty of parking. The store has a great atmosphere, spacious, and clean. I would definitely come back here if I want a healthy meal. read more

Sad day for Waba Grill. Came here yesterday to pick up a to go Waba Bowl extremely hungry. I get home excited to eat a delicious bowl to be greeted with what looks like sad leftover scraps. On the other hand, here is a bowl I had today from a place called Garden Teriyaki which I highly recommend if you want an affordable teriyaki bowl that doesn't cheat you on portions. She definitely made my experience dining there great. The restaurant itself is clean and comfortable to dine in. As for the food, it is fresh, clean and healthy however the flavor could be better. I ordered the jumbo shrimp with veggies. Since the food is kind of bland, the self serve sauces and pickled carrots & jalapenos help to enhance the food. Literally the worst portion of meat I have ever recieved. Took me 4 bites of meat and rice before I was just left with rice. This isn't my first time receiving such miniature portions, as it's happened before. I like WaBa Grill they have offered tofu as an option for quite some time and in a pinch they are a great option. The tofu was always a little bland so you had to add WaBa sauce to get flavor and I don't even want to know the sodium content there - lol. I was hungry and tired and didn't feel like cooking for the family so I decided it was time to try the new plant based bowl. Ok, this was so good, again I don't want to know about sodium because I am hooked on the WaBa sauce. Customer Service is not always great and the store has been messy at times. I just left a few minutes ago and I was disappointed with one of the workers. A cashier was on her break and got yelled at by the cook who I am assuming is the manager to leave her break and help (that's illegal). That wasn't the problem but the manager had a costumer go and knock the table that the cashier was sitting at to get her attention. Then she goes on to raise her voice at the other cashier saying that she never makes mistakes and that she is tired of both cashiers. The whole time that I was here she was yelling. One of the workers began talking about how she hated her job and wanted to quit, and she began talking to me in a disturbingly passionate way. I frequent this restaurant often and have never been denied service before 10pm. Restaurant listed to close at 10pm on store front and Google Maps. Arrived at 9:27pm to a garbage bin baracading the entrance with OPEN lights on. Upon opening the door and squeezing past the garbage bin, an employee mopping the back, with her back towards me, frustratingly shouts "We Are Closed" in an aggressive tone as if annoyed by my entrance. I replied I was under the impression they close at 10pm, sign says 10pm. The employee rudely continued mopping and ignored me. We decided to try Waba Grill. Located immediately West of PetSmart and east of Ross at Chapman the Brookhurst plaza near the Regal theatre. There is ample parking. The place was empty Thurs at 1850. While I ordered and waited, three sets of customers arrived. They also ordered food to go. Customer service is good. Respectful and unintrusive My husband ordered a steak/ chicken rice bowl which he enjoyed. I had the vegetable chicken rice bowl. We are pleased to have brown rice as an option. They also have kale salads. There are sliced green onions, jalapeño and carport slices in a vinegary bath and extra sauces on the side. The piece de resistance is FREE delivery for orders of $20 or more. I am impressed. We will be requesting delivery in the future. read more
