WaBa Chicken & Steak Bowl
Diana N.

I have been to waba grill before, but this is my first time coming here. The best part about this is that they accept EBT here. Today, I went here with my boyfriend & both of us got the chicken & steak. My boyfriend loved his bowl & I love my bowl as well. Chicken was moist, soft, and good texture and steak was soft, easy to chew; and great flavors. We both would rate our bowl a 5/5 since we both had it before. They also have their own condiment bar with pickled carrots & jalapeños, green onions, waba sauce, and hot sauce. They also have their own soda foundation as well so that you can refill your drinks on the go when dining in. The service was fast & employee is very nice and friendly. There is plenty of parking. The store has a great atmosphere, spacious, and clean. I would definitely come back here if I want a healthy meal.

Ordered a bowl off uber eats and the chicken is literally non edible. Very rubbery and hard. The rest of the food was ok

Garden Teriyaki bowl

Sad day for Waba Grill. Came here yesterday to pick up a to go Waba Bowl extremely hungry. I get home excited to eat a delicious bowl to be greeted with what looks like sad leftover scraps. I kid you not, I did not touch the bowl in the image I shared. On the other hand, here is a bowl I had today from a place called Garden Teriyaki which I highly recommend if you want an affordable teriyaki bowl that doesn't cheat you on portions. Look at the difference! STARK CONTRAST. Price is similar too. I won't be returning to Waba grill until there are some changes made because this is ridiculous. These bowls aren't inexpensive by any means and on top of that they laugh at us by skimping out on the protein. Edit: after looking at previous reviews of this franchise it looks like this has been an on going issue. How do you not fix the problem after so many complaints! This store needs to close ASAP.

Jumbo shrimp veggie bowl with pickled veggies, green onions, Waba sauce and garlic serrano sauce

This rating is mainly for the customer service and nice maintenance of the restaurant. One of the employees named Maribel was so sweet, helpful and accommodating. She definitely made my experience dining there great. The restaurant itself is clean and comfortable to dine in. As for the food, it is fresh, clean and healthy however the flavor could be better. I ordered the jumbo shrimp with veggies. Since the food is kind of bland, the self serve sauces and pickled carrots & jalapenos help to enhance the food. I would say the food here is pretty average however, it's expected since it's meant to be healthy. Overall, I recommend coming here if you are working towards being healthy.

Literally the worst portion of meat I have ever recieved. Took me 4 bites of meat and rice before I was just left with rice. This isn't my first time receiving such miniature portions, as it's happened before. I vowed to never come back after repeatedly being dissatisfied with the portions but my friend was the one who picked it up, not knowing he was going to this Waba. I'm surprised they even have customers at this location. It's beyond ridiculous to pay $25 for two bowls for a few bites of meat and the rest rice. Never again

Plant based meat. It's good!

I like WaBa Grill they have offered tofu as an option for quite some time and in a pinch they are a great option. The tofu was always a little bland so you had to add WaBa sauce to get flavor and I don't even want to know the sodium content there - lol. I was hungry and tired and didn't feel like cooking for the family so I decided it was time to try the new plant based bowl. Ok, this was so good, again I don't want to know about sodium because I am hooked on the WaBa sauce. Customer Service is not always great and the store has been messy at times. Customers are not capable of putting condiments in little cups and not make a mess and when they don't have enough staff this can build up.

Insect in the green onion

Food was okay but very little potions! Are they really that cheap they couldn't fill the entire bowl up with protein yet they charge $12. Not to mention we found a bug in the green onion.

Tiny meat portion now. Very noticeable and lame. For $12 you get rice

Charging customers $12 for 25 cents worth of white rice and a tiny portion of beef. You're getting lame Waba. Used to like you but your meat portion is getting ridiculously less and less. Lame lame lame

Seriously?? Franchise operation with low quality food. If you want cheap, eat here but prepare for a McDonald's experience.

We ordered the lomo saltado shaken fries and the calamari. The lomo saltado was definitely the highlight! the meat was tender, juicy, and packed with flavor. The fries had the perfect texture: crispy on the outside and not soggy at all. The sauce tied everything together perfectly, with a great balance of savory and sweet flavors without being overpowering. The calamari was also well-executed. It was crispy, tender, and didn't have any fishy taste, which I really appreciated. Another plus is that the portions here are huge, making it great for sharing with family and friends. There's plenty of seating, and the lively atmosphere makes this a perfect spot for a casual meal, family gathering, or a night out with friends. I would definitely come back to try more of their menu!

Not my favorite pho ever but still really good. My cousin ordered the Saltado lomo and subbed the rice with garlic noodles and it was a huge portion- I'd even say even for two people. The fries, beef, and garlic noodles were nicely flavored and all the right textures. Would love to go again!

They…read morecaught my eye a while ago and I saw they had the infamous Waterfall Chicken for only $10.99, a steal of a deal especially with tomato price & an egg. The chicken was crispy and the dipping sauce gave it that extra yummy goodness. The dish also came with a side of broth that had chicken bits in it, was nice to help digest your dish. I also loved that they gave you pickled veggies & fresh veggies. We also ordered the Loi's Fusion Saltado, upgraded the rice to garlic egg fried rice. The beef was soft and tender, the fries were nice and crispy and the fried rice was fresh. You 100% need to get the Thai Tea. A lot of place add too much cream/half and half diluting the tea flavor, they do not skimp on the actual tea in their drink. The color speaks for itself on the dark orange hue!

I'm a bit late getting around to writing this, and unfortunately, they are already closed, but I still felt like I had to share my experience. I'm not completely surprised that they closed, especially after trying their bò né. I've had this dish many times at different places around Orange County, and unfortunately, this was probably the weakest version I've come across. The first thing that stood out was the presentation. As you can see in the picture, there was this purple-colored sauce on the meat itself, which honestly did not look very appetizing. To make things worse, the sauce was cold and did not heat in time with the skillet, which really took away from the experience. The flavor itself wasn't terrible, but it also wasn't anything memorable. It was just okay, and when you factor in the cold food and the presentation, it made the whole dish disappointing. With so many places around Orange County serving bò né at a much higher level, I would probably recommend spending your money elsewhere. If you were wondering whether you missed out on some hidden gem, don't worry, you didn't. This one felt more like a piece of coal than a diamond. That being said, every restaurant has its journey, and with more time, maybe they could have found their footing. Hopefully, they can take this experience as a lesson, refine their recipes, and bring something better in their next venture. I am rooting for you Loi!

The restaurant has a warm, inviting atmosphere with soft, yellow lighting that makes it feel cozy. There was background music playing which added to the energy, although it was loud enough that conversation took a little more effort than I'd have liked. Service was attentive from the beginning, with the server checking in regularly. I checked in at 8:05, was seated by 8:10, and got my food around 8:30. I ordered the Miso Bacon Carbonara which was delicious. The sauce was rich and creamy without feeling too heavy, and the miso added a sweet flavor that made it different from a traditional carbonara. The bacon was cooked well, crispy around the edges while still tender and the slight kick of spice kept each bite interesting. Overall, I'd definitely come back for this dish. Between the attentive service and food that's both savory and unique, it was a great experience.
