Not sure if this is a new location, but the inside is very clean and fresh looking. I ordered my usual chicken veggie bowl with white meat and brown rice with onion on top and my girlfriend got the steak chicken plate with rice, kale and an orange (don't tell her but mine was better ;) Anyway, the total was around $17, not too bad. The service was nothing spectacular, they were nice and friendly. At each table they had each of the two sauces. Finally, a place that gets it! However, they must go through a lot haha! Love to come in for the Veggie Salmon bowls. I usually place an order over the phone and they have it ready for me in about 5 minutes. since i work in the area it saves me time. i have been to other Waba Grills and since they operate franchise, this is by far the best one. The salmon they provide on the bowls are a big portion compare to the salmons ive gotten at other Waba grills. Service is also great and efficient. Didn't think I would ever write a review about this place Usually this place is really good service amazing food quality . Today 12/28 came in order my usual broccoli and chicken and avocado I always tell the lady at the cash register to strain the broccoli unfortunately it wasn't strained was soup. I get it things happen. I work in a customer service based field my self. They replaced my bowl cashier very polite. The other lady working with the tattoos very very rude and attitude and for some reason went from having a full bowl to a half bowl wonder why I just wanted what I ordered . I can appreciate a restaurant that won't charge extra for brown rice because sometimes I just wanna eat a little healthier. If you want veggies, it's $1 more, but I've always found them a little bit too overcooked so I rarely have them in my bowl. I came in with my brothers and was greeted by the friendly cashier. I ordered the steak plate and my brothers' ordered the chicken and the salmon plate. Since it was a grand opening it came with free drinks. The plate came with a side salad which had a sweet and a sour dressing. Their steak was better than flame broiler's dried brunt beef bowl. I tried my brothers plates and the chicken was nice and tender. The salmon was flaky. Waba cost a little more than flame broiler but with quality it is well worth it. I generally don't do this but... I gotta say something about this Waba Grill location. Context. I'm diabetic and generally try to control my blood sugar w/ diet and exercise. This location is near my friends house and we occasionally pop in for a healthy lunch. This location advertises a 2 chicken bowl deal for $12 (or $10 on Saturdays). A solid deal for someone like myself. However - this deal comes w/ an un-advertised caveat. You cannot substitute rice for veggies. Being diabetic - I don't eat rice. On it's face, I'm being told this deal is not for diabetics. I consciously ignore how insane that is on it's face. When I ask if I could pay some sort of up charge to make the substitution (maybe a buck or two?), I was told no. The best option offered was to get both bowls w/ rice and then order a side of additional veggies for $5!!! Basically - buy food you don't want and pay extra for food you do want. I also ignore this insanity. So I paid the $5 for what prb was $.50 worth of veggies. My buddy had a baby in the car and I was not trying to argue w/ the high school kid cashier. Now - all that is enough for me to leave this low rating. However, after paying, I noticed that this Waba Grill location literally has a tub of carrots/veggies and jalapenos FOR FREE!!!! I cannot begin to describe how this business practice is beyond infuriating, but the discriminatory sub-text is quite alarming. I'm hoping this is just a case of ignorance, but I will not be returning to this location. read more

I just bought a house about two minutes away from this restaurant so I had to try it. I'm a vegetarian so I got the veggie bowl with brown rice, which comes out to $5 or so. You can add green onions for free. My fiancé is a carnivore so he got the chicken plate. I loved mine, but he was a little disappointed by the amount of food he got. Even though the bowl is cheaper than the plate, you get more food in the bowls. They have a hot sauce and special teriyaki sauce that compliment the food perfectly. They also have free spicy pickled carrots. We've gone back a number of times, and this place is consistent. The food is always good and the staff is friendly. The decor is nice too. You can find coupons for this location in the mail for additional savings, but they also have a "two chicken bowl for $8" deal without a coupon. read more

I really love the food at Waba Grill. Waba Grill obviously competes directly with Flame Broiler. I use to go to Flame Broiler, but since discovering Waba Grill, I find their beef to be better than Flame Broiler and their chicken equivalent. What makes me prefer Waba over Flame Broiler is the sauce and the availability of salmon as an option. Waba's hot sauce has a little bit of sweetness that I like compared to Flame Broilers. I usually order the chicken bowl and get a side of vegetables. The only thing I don't like is how Waba charges extra for brown rice and white meat instead of dark meat. The other thing I like about Waba versus Flame Broiler are the vegetables. Waba gives you cabbage, carrots and broccoli. The grilled salmon bowl is also very delicious with a decent size serving of salmon. The steak bowl is mediocre. Quality of the beef at Waba is better than Flame Broiler, but still not great. I prefer the chicken or salmon. The ambiance of Waba is clean and warm. They also have a TV which is nice. The owners at this location (Dave and his dad) are super friendly and nice. I highly recommend Waba and this location. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because I feel they should at least not charge additional for brown rice. I do understand that white meat costs more than dark meat so an additional charge is reasonable for that. read more

I wanted something different but like Flame Broiler. Well, this place also has shrimp and salmon. They also have a tofu menu I'll try next time and if you have little ones, no need to share, they have a child's menu too! I'm very pleased with the portions. Both the chicken and the beef were tender, well seasoned and the added bonus....no doying! You know, those rubber parts that you can't chew and end up spitting out. The chicken is white meat and tastes better. Same with their beef. Also, the salmon bowl is delicious and reasonably priced. This is the worst WaBa Grill. Stopped in this location for the first time. Ordered a Spicy Asian salad with beef and avocado. When they handed me the food I asked for the won ton strips, she said they've been out of those for awhile. Got home to find they must be out of carrots and edamame too. Worst experience. They are happy to charge you extra for avocado and full price for a salad with half the ingredients. Will never go back to this location. read more
