Best. Waffle House. In. The. South. This review really only needs 2 words: on point. My food is always cooked to perfection, timely and the service is excellent!! My go-to is a classic waffle and extra crispy hash browns with a coffee. This location is always clean and the holidays are extra festive with a santa visit and aptly decorated. 5/5 stars!

I scoped this particular Waffle House out to the reviews and let me say, it did not disappoint. I'm in town to drop my daughter off for college and needed my WH fix. Robyn, Lori, John, (I forgot the other guy's name who greeted me) and Keya (she can cook for real!) did an excellent job. This will be my go to in the ATL whenever I come back here. They were all extremely kind and professional. Keep up the good work!! Much luv.

Great place. Clean and good food. Coffee and waffles always a good move. Stopped in before a round of golf at Peachtree and got to go order. They got it ready fast and we were on our way. Decorated for Christmas warm and clean restaurant. Easy to get in and out of as well right next to Marta.

This is my favorite Waffle House in Atlanta! R and I used to come here most Sunday mornings pre-pandemic. We always tried to sit in our favorite server's area, because she memorized our orders and always received great service. We haven't come here that much since the pandemic started, and it looks like most of the crew has changed. Lots of free parking here, and Waffle House doesn't have to share the space with any other businesses because it's all alone on a corner, so there should always be available spaces. Service was pretty good today, and our server was very nice and had a good sense of humor. While we ate, she came over a couple of times to see how everything was going and asked if we needed anything. R ordered the hash brown bowl with hash browns, sausage, cheese, over easy eggs and onions. I ordered my usual hash brown bowl with hash browns, sausage, extra sausage, cheese, scrambled eggs and gravy. Our table was so close to the grill that I saw one of the cooks prepare our meals. Our server brought our meals to us just about straight off the grill, so the food was piping hot. And perfectly made. And delicious! We both thoroughly enjoyed our meals. My hash browns were crispy on the edges and firm on the inside. The scrambled eggs were fluffy, the sausage had good flavor, and the gravy had a perfect combination of peppery, sausage-y flavors going on. Watching the cooks do their things while I ate made me appreciate how quick and efficient they are at multitasking and making customers happy and satisfied.

We came here with friends for their Valentines Day special event. Reservation are required and at least a month in advance! The Brookhaven location gets booked very quickly. The store was decorated in the spirit of Valentine's Day with a special menu. It was a fun event.

This has been the worst experience I'm sitting here for more than 30 minutes my serve is extra slow apologies because she can't remember what you ordered so I had to wait 15 minutes for just my coffee it use to be better with old staff

I have a new favorite Waffle House! I still love the one on Piedmont, but my new favorite WaHo friends - especially Shameeka, she's just such a sweetie! - are at the Brookhaven post. I don't go that often, but after just a few visits, they remembered my face and my usual late-night order (hash browns and either a grilled cheese or a bacon-chicken-cheese melt on Texas toast) and they're always quick to say hello and ask what I want to drink, even when super-busy. It's also nice that there's lots of parking for when you're the DD, and that it's located across the street from one of my fave weekend spots, Pub 71, AND directly on my walkable path home! Plus, they're good and reliably quick with to-go orders (Tip: try calling them in during the "busy" 1-3am weekend night hours). This Waffle House and I were just destined to be pals!

This is my favorite Waffle House. When you think of Atlanta, you think of Waffle House. It is located right next to the Brookhaven MARTA station, so it can be accessed to anyone. Once you walk in, you have an employee that facilitates the seating (which is helpful on the busy weekends). We were seated promptly and greeted by Kheisa who was very nice and welcoming. She took our drink orders and gave us time to look over the menu. My wife and I both ordered the TX bacon, egg, and cheese melt. (I get extra pickles with mine!) the sandwiches were great, had nice flavor, and wasn't heavy either. This Waffle House staff seemed to know a lot of the regulars walking in. They knew their names and what they ordered which is a good sign if you ask me. We will definitely return.

Some restaurants are trendy…read more Some restaurants are modern. And some restaurants take one look at changing food trends and say, "Nah, we're good." The Silver Skillet in Atlanta falls firmly into that last category. This place is an old-school Southern diner in all the best ways possible. The kind of place where the coffee keeps flowing, the biscuits arrive without apology, and calories are treated more like suggestions than rules. In fact, we took an early morning flight to Atlanta specifically to make sure we'd get there before they close at 2:00 PM. That's either a testament to how much we enjoy The Silver Skillet or evidence that we need a support group for Southern breakfast food. I'm leaning toward both. It's also been featured on Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives, which usually gets my attention. But unlike some places that become famous and start coasting on reputation, The Silver Skillet still earns its following the old-fashioned way: by serving really good food. And judging by the walls and the stories, I'm not the only one who thinks so. Over the years, celebrities ranging from Samuel L. Jackson to Charles Barkley and Travis Tritt have eaten here. After this visit, I completely understand why. Whenever I'm in Atlanta, this place has become one of my regular stops. On this visit, my wife ordered the country fried steak smothered in white gravy with eggs and a biscuit. It was exactly what you want Southern comfort food to be: hearty, flavorful, satisfying, and unapologetically indulgent. Nobody orders country fried steak looking for a wellness retreat. I went with their signature country ham served with red gravy, scrambled eggs, and biscuits. Now, if you've never had country ham, understand that this isn't your average breakfast ham. Country ham shows up with attitude. Salty, rich, packed with flavor, and perfectly balanced by the red gravy. Combined with the eggs and biscuits, it was the kind of breakfast that makes you seriously consider canceling the rest of your plans and taking a nap. The atmosphere is part of the charm. It feels authentic because it is authentic. No manufactured nostalgia. No corporate designer trying to recreate a 1950s diner from a Pinterest board. This is the real thing. The Silver Skillet has survived because it knows exactly what it is and executes it well. Solid food. Friendly service. A classic Atlanta institution. And a place that's earned every bit of its reputation. Four stars. When you're willing to schedule a flight around a restaurant's closing time, that's about as strong an endorsement as a breakfast spot can get.

They're about to hit 70 years this May, and it makes sense the second you walk in. The inside is about as classic diner as it gets. Comfortable booths, old-school feel, and a front counter with snacks, shirts, and little items for sale that just add to the charm. The staff is what really takes it over the top. Nikki has been my server multiple times, and she's amazing. She's usually singing or whistling along to whatever music is playing, and it honestly puts you in a good mood without you even realizing it. Service like that is rare. Food-wise, I've tried several things now, and everything has been great, but here are my top standouts: The catfish is one of my favorites. It comes in strips, fried perfectly, and packed with flavor. Chicken and waffles are excellent. The waffle is crispy on the outside and soft inside instead of fluffy, and it works really well. The chicken itself is seriously flavorful -- not just crispy, but seasoned really well all the way through. But the biggest surprise for me: The country ham with red-eye gravy. I'm not exaggerating when I say this might be the best ham I've ever had. It's thinly sliced, so you don't have to deal with a thick, chewy cut, and it's full of flavor. The red-eye gravy that the ham is marinated in (which I was told is a family recipe) takes it to another level. They also give you extra on the side to dip. If you mix that ham with over-easy eggs and hash browns, then grab a bite with a biscuit... that's one of the best breakfast bites I've had in a long time. And to top it all off, it just pairs perfectly with a nice, cold Diet Coke. Something about that combo just works. And to be clear, it's not just one or two good items -- everything I've had here has been great. I've also tried the omelet, the chicken biscuit with egg and cheese, and the country fried steak, and they've all been consistently delicious. They have a large breakfast menu, and I still haven't even gotten into lunch yet. Only thing to keep in mind is parking. There is a lot on the side, but it fills up quickly since other businesses share the area. If you come at a busy time, it might take a minute to find a spot. Overall, this is one of those places you keep coming back to. Spots like this are part of the community and deserve the support. Wishing them another 100 years.
