Its Waffle House. I think it's hard to give them over 3 stars they are the embodiment of an average restaurant. As much as I love Waffle House you get no frills here. The food is decent, the place is clean enough, and the wait staff are a step above going through the motions. If you want a cheap quick stop for some waffles, hash browns, and watered down coffee you now have this option on Sunset Point in Clearwater. I've been to many Waffle Houses traveling about Georgia. In fact, I've been too the first one I thought this the best. We "only" had their Hurricane Irma menu: plain waffles, sausage (I don't eat meat but the people I was with liked it), eggs, and hash browns: the core of their menu. After 3 days of no power, an open Waffle House was a super welcome sight. And despite 90F heat and hours of very hungry people in a line that wrapped around the restaurant, they were gracious and cheerful. They even gave us coupons for free waffles. Our waitress, Noelle, was extra awesome. I ate 2 waffles, scrambled eggs, and hash browns. Way way more than I normally eat. They're a much needed addition to the location like local area's waffle scene. read more

Had a great breakfast here. I was reminded of the breakfast scene in My Cousin Vinny because I had the breakfast with eggs and grits! I also had a waffle. Why would I come to a Waffle House and not have a waffle. Service was excellent and quick. I am guessing that this is a chain but I'm not sure. I will probably go back tomorrow for breakfast on my way out of town (if they are open). In short, I would recommend this place for breakfast. I only eat breakfast when I am traveling. Wow I was so happy to find that Waffle House Opened this new restaurant on Sunset Point in Clearwater. The place is built brand new and just opened four weeks ago. The parking lot and the restaurant was packed so the secret is out already!! However the wait for a table was very brief. Everyone of the staff is very friendly and The service was excellent! The waffles are what we came for and I couldn't believe they were only 3.50 each!! Wow This place was super. Not sure How they did it but they have a hit here. This was the best Waffle House experience I have ever had. Let me start this off by saying my waitress was the absolute best I have ever had, her name is Glenna and I'll definitely be going back to see her specifically. She made sure that even though I was tucked back in a corner, I always had a full coffee cup and my water was always full too. My food- I ordered a pecan waffle, with bacon and hash browns *crispy* country style (with gravy) hot and exactly what I ordered. And typically when I ask for crispy hash browns they're burnt and then soggy in the middle, this was NOT the case this time. And my bacon wasn't over cooked at ALL. All in all I already loved Waffle House, but this will be my new go to spot in the area. I'm extremely happy I was craving a waffle this morning, because otherwise it would've taken me a lot longer to go here! read more

Wonderful experience. Hash browns were made to crispy perfection. We had the whole restaurant to ourselves and Kayla and the waitress helping train her were fantastic. Super friendly ladies, even the cook chatted with us a bit. She was quick with our order and even whipped up an extra egg when the yoke broke. Great experience today for breakfast, 8:30 Saturday. Glenna was a terrific server, kept us in coffee, and spent lots of time chatting with us (two women) and two other women seated next to us, all at the counter. (Counters are great for striking up conversation and meeting new friends.) Nice $4.75 specials for seniors and kids, while regular full (2-egg) breakfasts are up around $9 now. Good fun for a simple meal out. Limited selections for breakfast, and no social distancing provisions, so be prepared for others who may not be vaccinated to be sitting close beside you. Went and ordered the steak and eggs, stake medium well, eggs over easy and hash browns. The steak was cold in the center in which we couldn't continue eating, asked for it to be taken off the bill instead of them throwing it back on the grill, as who can continue to eat that once they bit into the center of a cold steak? It grosses you out. Server and cook got very offended and said it's not their fault since we didn't want it back on the grill. Absolutely worst experience ever. Went into Waffle House for a simple to go order. Should not have taken more than 10 minutes to complete this order. We sat there for over 40 minutes watching people come in, get their order in 5-10 minutes, pay, and leave. All in the time span that we sat there. When I asked one of the waitresses what was taking so long, she comes back saying our order was taking longer than usual which is ridiculous considering our order was smaller than most of the other customers there! It's as if they completely forgot about us there. Never going back again. read more

Ok...first....it's a Waffle House...so don't expect a gourmet meal. This place has just opened, so I tried a few times before I wrote this. My first visit was during the lunch hour(s), and there were so many "employees" it was almost impossible to get an order taken correctly. There were at least 7 doing the cooking, and over 10 servers. My order was done, albeit slow, and almost not correct. The second time was at dinner time, and it was pouring rain. The place was full, but everybody appeared to have had their order taken. We sat down, someone came over to take our drink order, then we waited....for over 15 minutes...before someone else came over to see if we wanted to order. Really? Again, several people at the cooking station, but they were more interested in chatting with each other than getting the food out. I also saw something I've never seen before at a Waffle House, someone opening the door for me, then doing nothing until a table left, and they cleaned it, only to return to waiting by the door for the next table/customer. Let's see how things progress, and I'll update this as needed, but for the time being, maybe wait a bit before trying it. read more

Ate there two weeks ago, shortly after they had opened for business , the lady at the door was fantastic at seating people . Ended up sitting at the counter, which was fine, but someone has to tell their waiter/dishwasher/food server that you don't walk around in a restaurant with a sweat soaked shirt. Couldn't find a manager to rectify the situation. They must have spares in the back room, but nobody would tell this guy to go change his shirt. A nice enough guy, but it turned stomachs as far as trying to eat the food there seeing the sweat dripping off of him and his shirt. Not exactly the most appetizing thing on the face of the earth. Other than that, the food was great, got it in a reasonable time for a packed restaurant, and would return, but if I walk in and see him again in that sweat soaked shirt will turn right around and leave. read more

The server was always with us and never left us alone. We got hard Sunnyside up eggs then when we got new egges they were extremely runny. When i got a Arnold Palmer they put Orange juice insted of lemon-aid. In addition the seats were extremely uncomfortable. Bad experience. read more
